I bit the inside of my cheek as I flipped the pancakes I was making. I woke up on my back and Natsu used my breast as a pillow. He leaned back, crossed his arms and stared at me for a few minutes. My heart sank into my stomach as my worst thought came to the forefront of my mind. He stood up and shuffled his hair in annoyance. I jumped at the sudden action and stuttered out. "Na...Natsu."
He let out a frustrated growl. He turns to me and drops to his knees before me.

I turn to look at Natsu who was getting dressed. "We're gonna be late." I look at the clock and realized he was right. I got dressed too. Then blushed as I realized Natsu and I just got dressed Infront of each other like it was an everyday thing. We brush our teeth and rushed to the guild.
I sat on my bed as I stared at Cana. She had her head bowed low and her arms crossed around herself as if to protect herself. I thought about the S-Class trials the Master just announced.
"Natsu, Gray, Levy, Juvia, Cana, Levy, Juvia, Freed, Mest and Elfman." The Master's voice rang out. "Based on your performances, I've chosen you guys to participate in this year's S-Class trials!"
"What?!" Collective shouts trailed through the guild.
"Silence!" Master bellowed before continuing, "choose your partners."
Natsu grabbed me and Happy and loudly announced. " We are Fairy Tails' strongest team! We will demolish everyone!"
"You only get one partner, Natsu!" Gray explained to him, annoyed.
"We will be leaving for Tenrou Island tomorrow. Pick well." Master finished.
Natsu looked absolutely devastated as he realized he had to choose between Happy and me. Before he could open his mouth, a pair of hands encircled me from behind and grabbed a handful of my breast.

"Lucy, can you call Loke?" Gray asked me.

"Gray wants to talk to you." I explained to him as he glared at Natsu. Natsu glared back, stood up and shouted, "you wanna go playboy?!"
"Don't fight my spirits unless I say so!" I clap back in fury. Natsu shrank back and muttered a "yes ma'am."
I step out of Cana's hold and sit down next to him. He throws an arm around my shoulders and affectionately nuzzles my neck. I shutter as that spot at the base of my neck starts to tingle. What is that? I wonder to myself. I shake my head as I catch Loke's eye. He's glowering at Natsu.
"Remember your promise." Gray demanded to Loke.
Loke's eyes locked onto Gray's and said, " Yes but I'm bound to Lucy. If she is Cana's partner, and we have to fight her, I can't help you. My contract won't allow it." Gray's face fell slightly before I could ask, "What promise?"
"While I was exhaled from the celestial heavens, I promised Gray that if he was nominated for S-Class, I'd be his partner." Loke explains, hating how he has to break it… but he doesn't.
Understanding lights my eyes as I said, "Then pretend we are training. It's kind of a training exercise anyway right? You can keep your promise to Gray and not break our contract."
Loke looked toward me in surprise and explained, "If we do this, this way, you won't be able to Star Dress as Leo. You wouldn't be at full strength. I'm one of your strongest spirits, Lucy. You'd be putting Cana at a disadvantage. I can't ask you to do that."
"Yeah Lucy. He can't ask you to do that." Cana glared at me.
"But your not my only strong spirit are you?" I glower at Loke as best as I could with Natsu still nuzzling me. " Stop that." Loke demanded of Natsu. He growled at Loke before Happy said, "You're a Dragon not a cat Natsu! She the enemy!" Natsu whimpers so I turn to him and say, "it'll be fine Natsu. It's just a bit of friendly competition." He sighs in disappointment but relents and stops nuzzling me. I turn to Loke again.
"It will be fine. I don't have to Star Dress as you to beat you remember." I teased before continuing. "I have the power of sunshine on my side."
Loke paled as he remembered the power that was bestowed to me by a supreme deity during the first month I was on my own.
"Fine. " He finally agreed.
"What's that mean?" Gray asked me. I wink at him, stand up to grab Cana's hand and say, "Cana's secret weapon. Sorry boys but she's gonna be S-Class!" I then pulled her out of the guild and to my house. Why did she want me to be my partner? Was I in control enough to use Sunshine? I shut those thoughts down as I turned my attention to the brunette Infront of me and asked, "why me?"
She lifted her head, opened her mouth, then closed it. She reminded me of a fish on land.
"I can't help you, if you won't let me. " I say, a little impatient.
"I need your help, Lucy. I need to be S-Class!" Cana said.
"Why?" I bite back. "... And why me?"
"Natsu says you make him stronger so I wanted your strength too. He has Happy, he doesn't need you too." She answered.
"Well why do you need to be S-Class?" I ask this time a little more gently.
"I want to tell Gildarts…" she started. I cut her off, "This isn't a confession of love is it? He's like 3 times your age."
"No. No. He's my dad!" She shouts in my face. " I have been wanting to tell him for years but I couldn't bring myself to, so when I was nominated as S-Class the first time, I told myself I'd tell him after I passed but I failed. Twice." She sighed. "This is my last chance Lucy, I have to be S-Class or I have to leave Fairy Tail."

Natsu and Happy bust in as I'm cleaning the dishes from breakfast. "I hate this!" Natsu exclaimed as he pulled me against him, my back to his front. "Gross!!! Lucy and Natsu wanna do it!" Happy teased as he flew toward the window. "I'll see you at home, Natsu. " He shouts over his shoulder.

I turn to look at him and state, "Don't hold back on me. I'm not gonna hold back." The anguish on his face made my heart clench. I turned in his arms, wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my forehead to his.
"It will be ok, Natsu. And when we get home, we can plan to spend all day in bed."
He let out a breath of surprise before pushing me against the counter and lowering his lips to mine. When the need to breathe became urgent, I pulled back and said, "You should go. Cana should be here any minute and I don't want her to think I'm conversing with the enemy."

I blinked. I didn't really know anything about Mest but I was confident I could take the others with Cana's help.
"Gray and Loke will be the easiest team to beat. The heat of sunshine is equivalent to standing in the desert at the hottest point of the day. It will melt Gray's Ice effortlessly. Loke is terrified of the power so I doubt he'll want to fight me. Keep in mind, Loke is upper body dominant. Keep your hits low to the ground and you can take him down pretty easily. Wendy uses her wind to push people around so you have to keep her mouth occupied so she can't. Levy is an incredible strategist but Gajeel will most likely be her muscle. Take him down, overpowering her with magic will be like taking candy from a baby. I know you can take Freed down and I have taken Bickslow down before so that'll be a breeze. Elfman and Ever will most likely bicker themselves to lose but just in case, we should invest in sunglasses. Taurus can match Elfman in brute strength. I think taking down Juvia and Lisanna will take plotting and timing. In her animal form, Lisanna has increased agility and reflexes. Juvia is already fast and impossible to hit as she can turn into water. I can match her on water control thanks to Aquarius but I'd be vulnerable to Lisanna's attacks since I'm only fast in that Star Dress under water. You'd have to be smart about your attacks since she is so fast. Now Natsu…. We know how he is but if we have to fight him… he'd use everything in his arsenal to beat us. We'd have the element of surprise if I could use Sunshine on him around noon when I can unison raid with the sun itself but the later in the day it gets, the weaker the attack gets. And because it's a light and fire combo, he might be able to eat it so I don't want to use it on him if we can avoid it." I laid it out for her.
She was impressed by my knowledge. "For the past few weeks I've been having sex with Natsu." I blurted out before I could stop myself. I felt myself get hot in fury. I jumped up and turned to her. "I know that Lisanna told us she loved Natsu but none of you asked me how I felt about this. I didn't even know how I felt about it. I got to listen to you all rave about how they were going to get married and have babies and no one stopped to consider how I felt! I figured that since she was brave enough to admit it, she'd win his heart first. I pushed him away in fear I'd get my heart broken but determined to get over him so I could be happy for him. For them both!" I shouted in her face. I took a breath and I continued. "I was wrong. I have had his heart since the day we met. He told me. He showed me." I huffed, then sat down, utterly exhausted.
"I'd never had friends before, Cana. Let alone gone through a situation where someone I have the utmost respect for, and I have feelings for the same person. Natsu was my very first friend. And he introduced me to the most incredible people I've ever met in my life. I didn't want to say or do anything to jeopardize you and the others' perception of me so I kept quiet. After Lisanna returned, I didn't want Natsu and everyone to feel like they had to choose between her and me. So I tried to be amicable." I teared up a little. "I didn't mean to be a man-stealer." I whimpered out.
She took a breath and hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry." She said after a moment. She pulled back to look me in the eye. "You're not a man-stealer. I'm sorry I said it. Lisanna is like a little sister to me. We all grew up together and became very protective of her, of each other really. When she died, we mourned together, except for Natsu. In his grief, he had become withdrawn with Happy. Then, he brought you to the guild." She said, " We should have noticed you two were falling for each other. I mean yeah we all made bets on when you two would hook up but when you pulled away from him, no one took it seriously anymore. I didn't realize until now but when he brought you to the guild, he was brighter than he ever was. He even went out of his way to spend time with you. He never did that with Lisanna." She hums. "So… how is it?"
"Cana!" I blush madly. My face has to be bright red by now.
"What?" She questioned, innocently. "You can't tell me you are being fucked by Fairy Tail's most destructive mage and not tell me if he's any good. Until you, I've never seen him take interest in a girl before."
She laughed and then continued, " When it was time for the talk, Gray told me that Gildarts, Macao and Gramps did a whole tutorial for the boys on a woman's anatomy and how many different ways to make a woman orgasm."
