Kamijou Touma knew that at some point his luck or lack of it would get him into more trouble that he could handle...
I just didn't expect to end so soon, I had been stabbed that much he knew... after saving a girl from a couple of no-good bastards that were hitting on her and started to get forceful, being the good samaritan that I was went to fight them by myself, they were only two of them he could take them.
And one pulled a weapon and drastically changed how things should have gone, the girl was long gone and that was a good thing... but now he had to deal with armed delinquents, and since he is staying there on the floor most would have known how that went.
"Such... Misfortune..." What else could I say? this was just another day on the life of this Kamijou... and the last one too.
It was an incredibly morbid thought that just seemed to eat him from the inside as time went on, he made many promises and had good friends that he wanted to come back too, including his family hell they were at the very top of the list of people he wanted to see again.
AND damnit I tried, I really did... but dragging oneself from the ground with the stomach basically gutted like a fish wasn't the smartest of ideas, but he had to keep trying and so he still dragged himself, he was pretty deep on the alley and he had just made it halfway there, but if he reached the end, someone would notice and help him.
Or call an ambulance at best...
His vision was blurry and the alley seemed to grow in length, but I wasn't done yet... what are a couple of extra meters?.

I stared at the black Ikor that fell on my hand and I glanced at my left and saw, black moving flesh slowly cover my body, I acted on instinct and moved my right hand on it and... nothing it just spread faster.

"YES! FINALLY, A MIRACLE HAPPENED TO THIS POOR KAMIJOU!" I screamed without really thinking about it, I don't care if anyone heard me because this was by far one of the best things that ever happened to me.
My eyes wandered the alley and I noticed that it was nighttime already, damn Sensei is going to have my hide for this one... but I guess with such a struck of good luck some unfortunate incidents are to be expected.
But all of this raises one question "Who healed me?" he wasn't going to pretend divine intervention happened and saved him, but there was definitely something at work here, I slowly got up and looked around.
Maybe whoever controlled that Black thing helped him?... they could have been a little softer with me, but I guess there is no reason to complain.

"Who's there?!" I exclaimed while looking around, and seeing nothing maybe it's some kind of invisibility power at work here, light tricks or something like that.
And then My black under-shirt, which should be orange moved and created a serpentine appendage that extended right in front of my face and a black face with sharp teeth and wide white eyes stared back at me "Hello partner, nice to meet you"
I slapped it with my right hand.
"Partner you might find it hard to believe, but I'm not a supernatural power, and... you have been in this alley for about three days" I stared at the creature that was forming from my clothes, it also said something... really unsettling things.
I wanted to ask 'how have I been here three days?' but then I remembered that this Kamijou's luck would make that possible, but that's for later "Damn it, if that's true then I have to get going!" and with that, I ran... and almost smacked myself against a wall.
It was a sudden burst of speed that I did- no couldn't pull off before, I glared at the thing- "I'M NOT A- whatever, partner I'll be straight with you, we can't separate anymore to help you survive your injury I had to force the bond to fast-forward and with that become dependable on each other to survive" it said some weird things, so is it some kind of parasite?.
It- "I prefer HE, but since you are being rude, you are on your own until you feel like actually listening to me" HE snapped at me, the big white eyes narrowing and he entered back to my shirt.

I shook my head and tried to run again, this time with a better idea of my strength I keep myself from crashing into anything in the alley, and made my way through the streets.
Running faster than CARS, it was a completely weird experience that was also breathtaking, sure I was used to seeing incredible feats but never doing them, it was no wonder why Espers used their powers even when it was not necessary.

I wasn't going as fast as I could for some reason, but I was still ahead of both Tsuchimikado and Aogami that couldn't win any ground on me... until they passed me on top of a bus while giving me shit-eating grins.
Good now we can actually start moving.
And with the words of my Partner... I dashed to my left and inside an alley jumping high between the walls of two buildings to reach the top and once there I started doing actual parkour while jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
This... is sort of liberating really, my only power was my Imagine Breaker and that was only useful against espers, getting a new perspective of things can be eye-opening with this sort of liberty it's no wonder why so many espers feel like they can do whatever they want.
It's still no excuse but I can see WHY they do it.
People always make choices, to live, to die, be happy or not... life is all about that and making the right choices is never as appealing as what it appears, after all to make the hardest choices one needs the strongest of wills.

Fukiyose not beating me along with the rest of the Delta Force... which begs the question "Ummm... so why are they like that?" I asked against my better judgment making Fukiyose twitch and almost mechanically walk up to the downed duo of stupid kneel...
"I... apologize... for thinking... you lied about... Kamijou" with every word there was a pause and a flinch, this was apparently painful for her to say, not as painful as watching my friend's minds leave their bodies for a moment, after that they just slumped.

Tsuchimikado did get up but I did see this flash of... something behind the glasses that quickly banished "Damn that must have been a shitty experience..." I nodded with a frown, I wasn't lying to them sure... but not saying the full history left a sour taste on my mouth.
