At the same time inside of a movie theatre...

Sam and her friend Wade were standing in line to get some snacks.

"You know we could have just watched a movie at my place and avoided all of this," Sam pointed out.

"True," acknowledged Wade before smiling. "But I like going out with the smartest girl in town."

The goth blushed as she looked away.

"Don't butter me up Wade..."

The teen boy with the scarf around his neck chuckled.

"Isn't that what the popcorn's for?"

Sam had to catch herself from bursting out with laughter. When she had managed to rein in her humored emotion, the Manson girl decided to ask, "So what's this movie about again?"

"Its about a man who puts bad people through a set of horrifying games," answered the brown haired boy. "Some ranging from life to death. Others from dismemberment to excruciating painful optional sacrifices."

"Sounds intriguing. What's the man's backstory?"

"Well, Jigzel kinda lost his unborn child because some drug addict who happened to be running out of a clinic. The door slammed into the stomach of Jigzel's pregnant wife by accident."

"Hang on," Sam raised a disbelieving brow. "You mean to tell me that's how he became a criminal mastermind; because of some stupid accident?"

"Hey, I just come for the gore and traps." shrugged the teen in the long sleeve red shirt and charcoal colored jeans. "Other than that, Mathew Kevin can give Tara Robbyn a sponge bath for all I care."

"So what did Jigzle do to the guy who killed his baby?"

"He put him in some kind of chair that's similar to the electric one they have for D-Row Inmates. Only this one was rigged with knives. Basically, all the addict had to do was push his face far enough into the knives to release himself or else he would die from blood loss due to blades cutting into his wrists. Long story short, the guy got out, he tried to attack Jigzle, but fell into a barbed wire trap and there was no coming back from that."

"You'd think Jigzle would have stopped after that."

"I know right? But he didn't because there were other people in the city who did some shady stuff that he became aware of. And I gotta say, I'm kinda on Jigzle's side in a few of their cases. Not that I condone his brand of justice or anything."

"What I can't figure out is how come this guy isn't looked at as a hero? I think at least some people would have supported his... activities."

Wade listed off with one finger at a time,"(A) Because Jigzle sorta gets people who haven't really done anything wrong involved in his games on occasion. (B) Nobody outside of those involved in his games are aware of the wrongs his victims committed."

"And therein lies the problem huh?"

"Yep."

Then the two made their way to the counter after the people ahead of them in line were served their orders.

"What can I get you?" asked the female employee behind the register.

"Medium popcorn, extra butter, and a large root beer," said Wade.

"Anything else?"

"Nachos with extra cheese and a small grape soda," Sam added.

The worker used the register to type in their order.

"Ok. One medium popcorn with extra butter, one order of nachos with extra cheese, a large root beer and a small grape soda. Will that be all this evening?"

"Yep," confirmed the brown haired teen with the ponytail.

Then the worker brought up the total and relayed it to them. Wade pulled out his wallet before paying cash to her. After receiving his change, the two gathered their stuff, and they walked away.

"I could have paid for it," Sam said. "This is the 21st Century."

"I say thou art a witch come to vex the village with thy abominable sorcery!" pointed Wade to Sam with his soda carrying hand.

Finding his antics comical, the goth girl smirked with a roll of the eyes.

"Seriously. You could have let me pay."

After raising the cup to his mouth and sipping some of his drink, Wade said, "I know. But I prefer it if you let me spoil you rotten 80 percent of the time."

"80%? The whole time we've been together you've paid for every date we went on. Including the official 'not a date' dates."

"I'll tell you what. If you wear one of those non-goth dresses your mom picks out on one of our dates/'not a date' dates', I wont stop you from paying."

Sam narrowed her eyes at him.

"That's not fair and you know it..."

"Well if people from the 21st century are unwilling to bargain for equal rights then how can progress be achieved in order to actively shape society into a more open minded geographic?"

She blinked before considering his words. Finally, after about 5 seconds Sam relented by saying, "Fine, I'll wear something my mom picks out..."

Wade reached an arm around her waist before pulling Sam close to his side, which surprised her a little. She would have complained about it but as soon as she looked into his vibrant orange eyes accompanied by a warm smile her sudden urge seemed to melt away.

"You've got yourself a deal Goth Moth," Wade said in response and Sam blushed at the nickname.

Despite caving in to the unfair negotiation(at least according to her point of view), Sam didn't feel too bad about it. Being with Wade was enough to make her want to try approaches that she'd normally never consider on her own. Regardless of her own sense of self identity and not wanting to conform to society's definition of the typical high school teenage girl, she found Wade's suggestive influence enticing to say the least. Even moreso than her ex-boyfriends. Gregor(if that was his real name) was charming in a foreign way(at least so she thought before learning the truth) but only appealed to her because he was seemingly goth. And Danny... well he was cute, brave, and charismatic. She would often compare the three but found similarities between all but one.

After they passed into the area where the movie they wanted to see would play and had taken their seats, Wade sipped his drink, which Sam happened to remember was root beer. And now that she thought it about it, her curiosity seemed to get the better of her.

"I never noticed this before but you always drink root beer," Sam let out.

"Yep," acknowledged Wade before tossing in, "Its my favorite soda."

The goth girl blinked.

"Huh. That's interesting."

Wade noticed the puzzled look on Sam's face and asked, "Me liking root beer is interesting?"

Sam shook her head.

"Its not that. Its just that my friend's favorite drink is root beer too."

"Danny or Tucker?"

"Danny."

Now it was Wade's turn to blink.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

The teen in the longsleeve red shirt faced forward with narrowed eyes in thought as the movie began to play before thinking, "(I have something in common with Danny Fenton... Go figure.)"
