Danny panted heavily. His current condition was bruised and scorched to say the least.
"(Where is she?)" the hero thought. "(I know she wouldn't just take off without a grand exit of some kind. Either that or I thermos her like I usually would.)"
Then his ghost sense went off which caused his brows to peak.
Although, that were the case he didn't have time to react as a giant green fist beam covered in teal flames crashed into him from his upper left side.
"Agh!" the halfa exclaimed after taking an explosive hit and falling from the sky. He crashed into the grass of Amity Park's Park(redundant I know). After pushing himself off the ground after about 10 seconds, the white haired ghost boy groaned as his body ached all over. "(I knew she was good from the last time I saw her fight but this is completely different...!)"
"Having trouble Babypop?" a soft voice questioned from the air in front of him.
Danny lifted his head and saw the pop princess standing on top of her instrument as if it was her personal hoverboard; with a cocky smirk to boot.
"Trouble?" repeated the hero rising to his feet slowly. "Nah. What would give you that idea?"
"Someone annoying that's black and blue and thrashed all over."
"Sorry, but I don't see anyone who matches that description."
"Oh dipstick. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this."
"A week or two?"
Ember chuckled darkly.
"Actually, since we first met."
"Uh... Sorry?"
"Oh you will be."
The pop princess channeled energy through her hands as she slowly hovered toward his tarnished form.
Danny sweatdropped as the distance between them closed little by little.
"(What I wouldn't give to be able to use the Fenton Thermos right now. I'm starting to regret I ever promised to fight her in the first place.)"
The halfa concentrated as much ectoplasmic energy into his clenching fists as he could muster at that moment.
"(Oh well. I suppose I've been through worse with the odds stacked heavy against me.)"
He remembered images of past ghosts and a ringmaster which made him realize how far he had come in the few years he had powers.
"(Who would have thought that I would have gone through so much? Its almost like my life is based on a cartoon.)"
He smiled at the idea. Ember noticed his facial expression and soon her hers switched to that of a serious countenance.
"(I wonder what's got him all chirpy...)"
She would have thought more on it but decided against being sidetracked from the task at hand. Ember outstretched her hand and her guitar moved from below her feet into it. With her now floating in the air like any ghost usually would, the pop princess changed the dial on her instrument to something else and fired a flaming teal colored beam his way. Danny dove out of the way with a roll before coming upright and firing a cold blast in return. Ember used her guitar's back as a shield but in doing so the instrument froze over from head to toe. Meaning, his attack also had caught the hand gripping the instrument.
"Ugh...!" winced the musician feeling the sub-zero temperature settle in.
Danny noticed her recoiling from the move and smiled.
"Well at least in her new state she's still vulnerable to ice. That gives me idea."
Concentrating, the ghost boy focused his power into his body. At that time, Ember slammed her instrument against the ground and shattered the ice which covered her instrument plus hand.
"Now I'm done messing around dipstick!" declared the pop princess taking off and coming in his direction. As she neared, she hopped off the ground with guitar raised overhead.
The halfa didn't expect her to charge after him so soon and ended up losing focus. On instinct, he ended up creating an ice staff and used it to take the blow of the downward swing of the guitar. Danny's feet sunk into the ground somewhat as a result with his teeth clenching.
"You were messing around up until this point...?!" questioned the straining halfa.
"Instead of answering that why don't I just knock your head 6 feet deep...!" glared Ember pushing harder and harder with each passing second.
"No need for that! (This isn't good! I can't concentrate with her bearing down on me like this! I have to think of something else or I'm done for!)"
Fortunately, the hero didn't have to do anything because a beam of energy struck Ember in the center of her back.
"Agh!" cried the pop princess dropping her flaming appearance and collapsing to the ground before Danny's feet.
"Ember?!" exclaimed the hero shocked by the latest development.
"Not fair... using a sniper dipstick..." muttered Ember trying to stay conscious but ended up doing the opposite.
"Sniper?! I didn't...!" started Danny but was cut off.
"Target immobilized," an emotionless voice said from the air not too far from his position.
Danny scanned for the source and saw something green in the distance directly above the setting sun. He squinted his eyes in order to recognize who or what it was floating there. It seemed humanoid in appearance with a set of cold blue eyes.
"Who are you?" he questioned the figure in the sky. In response, it landed a good distance away from Danny but still in his line of sight.
"Authorization to proceed?"
"Huh?" the ghost boy furrowed his brows.
"Standby for the moment," an all too familiar voice answered from a little ways to the side of them both. Danny's ears tingled once he heard the voice. He could never forget that voice."
"Vlad...!" he clenched his fists without a second thought and glared as his arch-nemesis stepped into the spotlight in his human form with a smirk plastered across his face.
"Greetings Daniel," the now low silver hair cut former billionaire shifted his eyes towards the hero of Amity Park. He wore a rather long white open trench coat over a black business suit with a white tie and clean white expensive shoes on his feet. Also, he sported a mostly white and partly black Cordovan hat on his head in addition to a lengthy white cain and white gloves. "Have you missed me in these past two years?"
AN: Thank God for allowing me to see another day.
Also, Fruit Loop returns! Who would have expected that?
