The next day. Busy, busy, busy. Star driving back and forth to and from the mayor's office.

Tucker was waiting with a pleased smile on his face. Being in charge felt good. He now understood why power corrupts the best of men. It doesn't make it right but still. He could get used to this.

His office door swings open and the blonde teenager steps in with a steaming cup in hand.

She approached his desk with an annoyed countenance and sets down the beverage before him.

"Here's your cappuccino Foley," she said placing hands on her hips.

Tucker picked it up ignoring or simply not registering the displeasure in her tone. But he at least caught the way she addressed him.

"Thank you," he returned. "Also, its mayor Foley if you don't mind little miss intern. You'd do well to remember that. I am in charge after all."

She grumbled under her breath.

The teen mayor noticed and raised a brow.

"What was that?"

She glared but bit back her tongue.

"Nothing mayor Foley..."

"That's what I thought," he said leaning back in his chair sipping his cappuccino feeling like the man. After exhaling from the delicious taste he asked, "Oh and did you take my suit to the cleaners?"

"I did..."

"Good. I like a freshly clean and ironed suit."

"Is there anything else you want me to do before I go?

The red beret wearing teen put a finger to his chin thinking long and hard.

Star folded her arms after waiting what felt like an eternity; tapping her foot on the carpet with each passing second.

Eventually, Tucker came to a decision.

"Nothing I can think of at the moment. But if I can think of anything, you'll be the first to know."

"(Finally...)" she thought relieved and ready to take a break. She turned away and walked to the exit.

However, before she made her way out Tucker said, "I might get hungry in a few minutes or so. Stay close. Just in case."

She stopped in her tracks and grinded through her teeth, "Got it...!"

"Got it who?" Tucker prodded. Maybe he knew he was poking the blonde bear. Maybe he didn't. Either way, to him, being in a position of authority was the best.

"Got it MAYOR FOLEY...!" she clenched her fists to hold back from clawing his eyes out.

"That's better," he nodded in approval.

And then Star slammed the door on her way out.

Tucker seemed surprised by this.

"She must have had a bad day or something. I guess I should let her have a little down time before sending her off again."

He took out his PDA and set it on a timer.

"Let's see. I need my suit picked up... my all meat diet has to be maintained... then she has to save my Star Trek episode on my DVR so I can watch it later..."

His lips puckered.

"I'll say about 10 minutes should do."

Then his stomach growled.

"Better make that seven."

In the Ghost Zone, Ember rubbed her shoulder walking from a particular area in her pad.

"Man its cold in here," she muttered. "Better check the thermostat."

She approached the dial object protruding from the wall. Checked what it read.

"80?" the pop princess questioned. "Is this thing broke? Better turn it up to make sure."

She twisted it until it went up to 85. And at once she felt the shift in temperature.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips and she no longer had to rub her shoulders for warmth.

"That's better."

Then she heard a knock at the door which prompted her to go answer it.

After opening the door she was greeted by Kitty.

"Hey Em," the biker babe said making her way in without verbal consent.

"Hey Kitty," Ember replied; not bothered by the intrusion. She turned to face the green haired ghost girl and asked, "What brings you by today?"

Kitty had a knowing smile on her face as she kicked back on the nearby couch.

"Oh, you know."

Playing dumb, Ember said, "No, I don't."

"Do too."

"Don't."

"You know me better than that ghostfriend. Spill or I'll go to the other source."

The pop princess narrowed her eyes.

"You wouldn't..."

Kitty stood up and approached the door.

Ember grabbed her by the arm and surrendered.

"Fine! Sheesh, you can be such a ghoulhound sometimes."

The girl wearing fishnet stockings turned and went back to her seat; pleased at the results of her action.

"So... how did your little... playdate go?"

Ember rolled her eyes at the word her friend emphasized.

"It wasn't a playdate..."

Kitty simply waved it off.

"Stop stalling. I want details."

Ember folded her arms.

"If you must know... it was ok. At first."

The biker babe raised a brow.

"At first?"

Ember tried to express nonchalance.

"We were even starting out. But then I went full fire mode and I was kicking dipstick's can around town."

"Oh," Kitty blinked. "So I'm guessing he didn't expect you to get better while he was on down time huh?"

The pop princess couldn't help but smirk out of pride.

"Nope."

"And then what happened? You won right?"

It seemed her confident fizzog seemed to crumble.

"Well... uh... something crazy happened before I could."

Kitty sensed the shift. She felt something was off.

"What?"

"You remember that other half ghost Plasmius?"

Kitty gasped.

"No... don't tell me that guy stole your win right out from under you?! That is so unfair!"

Ember shook her head.

"It wasn't that. It was worse."

"Like what? Did he... you know... get rid of him?"

The pop princess looked away.

"No. He..."

Before she could finish Kitty interrupted fanning her face, "Is it just me or is it toasty in here?"

Ember didn't know whether she should answer that or keep going with the story. But a knock at the door sounded. She decided to open it and Spectra made her appearance known.

The misery glutton wasted no time with pleasantries.

"Emmy, nice to see you. You know why I'm here. Did you teach Prince Phantom a lesson?"

Ember narrowed her eyes at the ghost of a red-head. It seems rudeness amongst friends is in season.

"Spectra..."

Kitty yelled from the couch, "Wait in line Penny! I was here first!"

Spectra pushed her way past the realm owner peeved.

"Darn! And I cancelled all of my appointments to get here! Drat!"

She joined Kitty on the couch with a fold of the arms and a crossing of the leg over the other.

"Well Emmy? I'm waiting. And why does it feel like the middle of July?"

Ember closed door and knew this was going to be a long day.
