Pamela Manson checked her daughter's closet; inspecting what kind of apparel she should purchase for Sam.
"Hm... I know Samantha has been opening up her wardrobe palette lately. Which is nice. But I think if I can acquire a sense of her... 'morbid' tastes we can find some sort of middle ground."
There were mostly dark colored outfits. Mostly purple and black. On top of the heavy boots situated at the bottom of the closet. Although, rays of sunshine shone in the rich mother's eyes. A sun dress here, a button up long sleeve collar there, a few fanorad dresses of different designs here and there.
"Maybe I should stop," the mother's heart swarmed with guilt. "She has been trying to meet me partway. Progress is progress. No matter how glacially slow."
But then she spotted a spray painted t-shirt that said Despair Without End and that guilt evaporated.
"However, glaciers are a part of mother nature and I am mother in this case. Better keep looking."
Meanwhile at the Mayor's office, Star sat in a chair next to miss Barbara's desk. The older woman herself was typing something up on the computer; occasionally straightening the glasses on the tip of her nose.
"How do you like the internship so far?" miss Barbara asked without turning her eyes away from the screen.
"It... is... horrible." Star expressed massaging her temple. "He has me going all over town for the most trivial things back and forth. And what's worse, ninety-nine percent of it has nothing to do with his job."
"Yes, Mayor Foley is somewhat requiring. But you'll get used to it."
The Casper High cheerleader shifted her eyes to the woman like she was insane.
"Get used to it? I'm not sure if I want to! Let alone can."
"I thought so too at first but give it time."
"(It's official. She's totally insane.)"
The other woman continued.
"Also, he's friends with the local hero and they both helped saved the world."
"That can only get you so far," Star rolled her eyes.
"And he supports less than fortunate kids who have an interest in technology."
Star blinked.
"(I didn't know that.)"
"So please try to be patient with him. He's definitely not perfect but at least he's not like the previous mayor."
Star inhaled and exhaled.
"I'll try."
The older woman smiled.
Switching over to Fenton Works.
Danny stood in his room; pacing back and forth. His mind was on the ghost musician he fought/saved the other day.
"(Is she ok? I mean she seemed alright before leaving. Unless she was putting on a show. Ember does like to show no weaknesses if she can help it. Maybe I should check up on her. No. I can't do that. Well I can but it would make it look like I don't trust her. And besides, it hasn't been more than a day. I should give her time.)"
"Release me whelp so that I may exact my revenge!" a voice boomed with an echo.
Danny sighed in exasperation.
"Dude, you need shut up," the teen responded. "You're on probation!"
The Fenton canister on Danny's desk rattled and shook.
"The Fright Knight does not know the meaning of probation! Release me this instant and I might spare you the fearful fate you deserve!"
The halfa approached his desk.
"Might?" Danny picked up the cylindrical container. "Well I'm definitely not letting you out now."
"All the day! Terror shall reign! Moon at night! Tremble at my might! Know my blade! A debt shall be paid! Whelp of half breed! At my voice you shall scream! The dawn of..."
The ghost of Halloween's poetic rant was cut short by Danny shaking the thermos.
"What was that? You want to know what soup feels like?"
"Cuuuuuuuurse! Yooooooooou!"
Danny stopped after 10 seconds and the Fright Knight groaned.
"Usually, I would let the ghosts I capture go but I think you should learn not threaten both humans and your own kind. (Not to mention a pumpkin is really hard to find this time of year). Though I could hand you over to Walker... but that's only if you push my nerves far enough. Which you're close to doing."
He placed a finger to his temple and scratched.
"But I definitely need to talk to Tucker and Sam," Danny said more to himself. "They need to know Vlad's back. I could let them know over the phone but I think telling in person is better. And now that I think about it, its been a while since we hung out."
The dark haired teen thought about it.
"That sounds like a good way to keep my mind off Ember."
He pulled out his phone checked through his contacts.
"I'll see if they're not busy and we'll go from there."
Several seconds later at the mayor's office, Tucker looked over important documents which needed to be checked over by the mayor himself. His eyes strained with the effort; behind the glasses he wore.
Then his cell phone buzzed and he saw the picture pop up on screen. Without hesitation, he picked it up and answered.
"Hey Danny. No, I'm just looking over important legal papers and stuff. Don't worry about it. I needed the distraction. So what's shaking? You want to hang out? Well I'm kinda swamped right now. But if I hurry along and finish up early I think we can meet up later."
Then his stomach growled.
"Scratch that last part. We'll definitely meet up later or I'll starve trying."
Not 5 minutes later, Sam noticed her cell buzzing from within her pocket.
She answered once she recognized it was Danny.
"Hey Danny. I'm just out and about. Why? Hang out? Uh... Not right now but yeah we can meet up later. K. See you then. Bye."
And she hung up.
"With that out of the way, time for some Green Undead Redemption." Danny smiled putting his phone away.
"You will be undead once I am free whelp!" The Fright Knight declared.
The teen sighed.
"Ok. Desk drawer for you it is."
Danny slid the compartment open and placed the canister in the space and pushed it shut. He could hear the metallic capturing device bump back and forth alongside a muffled voice. But he didn't care. There was a certain game calling his name.
