Outside Shadow's weaponry, The Furious Five were hiding on a rooftop with a plan to stop him. When two guards' backs were turned, the Five quickly snuck past the guard without them seeing, and Marty, being as short as he was, was able to walk past the guards undetected.
They hid behind some barrels and boxes and watched in horror as the warriors prepared more of the weapons that Shadow created. "Hurry it up." "Move it."
"If all those weapons leave the building, Japan will fall," Theresa told them.
Heidi then had an idea, "We bring down the building."
"How about this?" Marty asked as he grabbed a handful of gun powder. He used a flint to make a small spark with a bit of the gun powder but it blew up in his face a bit. "This will work!"
"Al right, let's go."
"I can't feel my face," Marty told them as the Five grabbed some barrels and boxes of gun powder.
From a distance, Randy is using a large pole to get on top of the tall deck where the guards were walking. However, it didn't work out in his favor. The pole stuck up and Randy fell behind a bunch of boxes where two guards were. Randy defeated them quickly. He held them by their heads and found himself able to control them like puppets. 'Perfect.'
He used the two guards to hide from the leader of the warriors and was talking to himself. "Shadows can't get as big as a county, ridiculous."
"Hey," Randy said, disguising his voice as one of the guards.
"Hey." Randy sighed in relief in his head once he was able to sneak by undetected. "OK. so, keep it cool. Keep it cool. Keep it cool."
"You!" Randy gasped and hid behind some boxes and set the unconscious guards down. "Where are you going?" One of the larger guards came over and held up both of the warriors. "On your feet! And wipe those stupid grins off your faces."
Randy snuck inside the factory and saw the metal being melted and being combined with dark magic. 'So, this is the factory where the weapon is being made.' Randy shook his head. He knew that he had that mission but he had another, finding Shadow and learning about his past.
"Move, you dogs! Faster, faster! Load them all!" Randy heard Shadow shout orders and proceeded to sneak his way closer to him. The wood was creaking with each barrel roll that Randy did. 'Seriously, who built this place?' Randy made it to a small bridge before he was caught. "Greetings, Norisu Ninja." Randy turned to see Shadow come out of the shadows.
He gasped once he saw Shadow's skull symbol again. It caused the memories from his past to rise again before he quickly looked away. He gathered his courage to look at Shadow. "Tell me what happened that night."
"What night?"
"That night."
"Ah, that night," Shadow said, thinking of a story that would disappoint and anger Randy.
"Yes! We're talking about the same night, right?"
Shadow smirked evilly. "Yes, I was there. Yes. I watched as your parents abandoned you. It's a terrible thing." Randy's face fell in disbelief. 'He has to be lying. They wouldn't abandon me, they loved me... right?'
"I believe it went something like this." Shadow used his dark magic to cut the chain holding the pot full of melted metal, breaking the bridge that Randy was on. Randy grabbed the pot and was dangling in the air. 'Maybe this wasn't a good idea.'
Outside, the Furious Five had a cart filled with gunpowder. Theresa was rolling it into the main base then Heidi threw a lantern to Monty who broke it inside the cart then Theresa barged it inside with the barrels of gunpowder going everywhere.
"Here's your New Years gift!" Monty shouted at them.
"Hope you like it, cause you can't return it," Marty told them.
They were all about to leave when they heard Randy scream. They turned and saw him hanging from the pot. "Randy? What's he doing here?"
They all looked at the barrels that were on fire and knowing that their friend was in danger they rushed to put it out. "Return it! Return it!" Monty shouted as he and Marty rushed to put the fires out. Soon, all of them were trying to put the fire out while fighting the warriors.
It took a while, but Randy managed to get back on the boardwalk that Shadow was on. "Are you willing to die to find out the truth?"
"You bet I am. Although I'd prefer not to," Randy told him. Randy attacked Shadow but he was able to defend himself with ease. He grabbed Randy's fist and threw him down to a conveyor belt that had all the metal from MakÅ city. Randy tried to stand up but it was hard with the metal in the way and the conveyor moving so fast. Shadow jumped down another boardwalk and watch Randy struggle.
The Five rushed up to the floor that Randy and Shadow were on to help their friend. The warriors appeared to stop them but Marty told Theresa, "We got them. GO!" The others fought the warriors while Theresa ran to help Randy. Theresa jumped to another floor with more warriors on top to stop her. One of the bigger ones was in her path. They stared each other down before fighting each other.
Randy had managed to stand on the conveyor belt but was struggling to run as fast as it was moving. Randy tripped grabbed a tuning fork and Shadow watched as he saw Randy fall.
Randy used the tuning fork to hand on under the conveyor belt but the metal falling into the melted metal was splashing on his butt. 'Okay, that's hot!' He grabbed a pot to cover his butt to prevent the splash.
'The last surviving Norisu Ninja is gone and I barely lifted a finger.' He looked to see and tried to listen to Randy's scream but he heard nothing. "You looking for me?"
Slowly, the wheel was slowly rising up with Randy on top. "Um... I said that too soon, didn't I?" He jumped in the air with the pot in hand ready to attack Shadow. Shadow threw knives at Randy who blocked the attack with the pot. Shadow teleported away to another floor as he summoned more of the warriors to attack Randy.
"Randy!" Theresa kicked one of the warriors to the dogpile on Randy and was able to knock them all away. Instead of fleeing like Theresa was expecting, Randy rushed to catch up with Shadow. "Randy, get away from him." The larger warrior grabbed her with more warriors coming up to her.
Randy didn't listen as he caught up with Shadow. "I'll get up. Here we go." Using the pot, he hit the tuning fork to stop Shadow from running away and now with his hand in the gap of the tuning fork, Shadow was trapped. "No more running, Shadow."
"So it seems." Shadow used his magic to disintegrate the tuning fork.
"Now, answers," Randy demanded as he spun the pot.
"Oh, you want to know so badly." He did a small chuckle. "You think knowing will heal you, huh?" He rubbed the wrist that was in the tuning fork. "Fill some crater in your soul?" Randy just stared at him with no words but anger in his eyes. "Well, here's your answer. Your parents didn't love you." Randy's face fell in disappointment and he started to take short breaths. 'He has to be lying. They cared about me. My father wouldn't have left that note otherwise... right?'
"But here..." Randy looked at Shadow. "...let me heal you!" Shadow jumped on top of the wooden box behind him and removed the wood with his magic revealing another weapon. Randy gasped as he stared at the weapon. Shadow lit the fuse and seconds later the weapon fired at him. He tried to block the attack with the pot but to his shock, his scarf wrapped around his body as well. 'What the Juice!'
Randy was shot through the building and Theresa tried to help him but it was too late. Randy was gone. "NO!" The Five watched in fear as well as he was shot through the building. 'Randy...'
Randy landed in the river and as the lightning struck, Nadakan sensed it. The Tengu warrior was gone. He fell of Master Naru's walking stick and looked in the distance. 'Randy... what have I done?'
