Author's note: Hoping this comes out all right! has been messing up my chapters lately.

"So, you're going to get Yaomomo to make a tracker, and then follow it to go save Bakugou yourselves?" Ashido asked them, but it was Todoroki who answered.

"Even though the villains called us 'kill targets', they snatched Bakugou away without killing him. They may let him live, but I honestly can't be sure they won't kill him. Kirishima and I will go -"

I interrupted him. "Stop messing around! You all are getting carried away!"

"Hold on. Calm down," said Shoji, holding his bandaged arm up to stop me. "Kirishima's frustration of not being able to do anything. Todoroki's frustration of BAkugou getting snatched before his eyes. I know how it feels. But this is not a decision one should make based on how they feel," he finished, the last words coming from the mouth on his tentacle.

"Let's leave it to All Might," said a shaking Aoyama. "They rescinded our combat authorization too."

"I agree with Aoyama," said Tokoyami. "I know I'm not in a position to say anything, since I'm part of the reason we failed."

"I know we're all still in shock from Bakugou's kidnapping," said TSu. "However, let's be level-headed about this. No matter how just your feelings may be, if you engage in battle…if you break the rules like that, then your actions are no different than those of the villains."

There was nothing anyone could say to those words. We all stood there in silence for quite a long time.

It was the doctor who broke it.

"I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation, but it's time for MIdoriya's check-up."

"L-Let's go," said Sero. "I want to see Jirou and Hagakure too."

I followed him out, with the rest of the class. I looked back and overheard Kirishima talking to Midoriya.

"I talked to Yaoyorozu yesterday. IF we're going, it's gotta be fast. Tonight. With your injuries, I don't know if you're gonna be able to move. But I'm inviting you because…I think you're probably the most frustrated of all."

Dammit, Kirishima. What do you think you're doing?

When he'd rejoined us, I gestured and led us all into another room, then closed the doors. All of a sudden we were grouped around those two idiots.

"Todoroki, Kirishima," I told them. "I will not allow this to happen."

"You gonna stop us?" snapped Todoroki.

"Guys, this - this isn't about fighting!" said Uraraka. "But think about it. I really think - Bakugou would probably feel disgraced to get rescued that way."

That seemed to stop them for a moment. Tsu nodded. "Ochako's right too."

"You've said all this already," said Todoroki. He turned away, like he wasn't interested in discussing it any more.

"Todoroki, listen- " Sero began.

We all started arguing and nobody seemed to be listening anymore. Eventually everyone just went their separate ways, annoyed, frustrated.

But I knew what they were planning, and I knew how to stop them.

They were standing outside, and Midoriya and Yaoyorozu had joined them. If I was ever going to stand up , It would have to be now.

'Wait!'

They all jumped and turned to me.

'Why…' I asked, glaring at Todoroki and Midoriya. 'Why of all people…why you guys? The two of you who scolded me for my own reckless actions. Who received a special pardon. Why are you guys trying to make the same mistake I did? This is too much!'

'What're you talking about, man?' asked Kirishima.

'We're under the protection of the school. And things are bad enough for UA as it is. Who do you think will have to take responsibility for your actions?' Did you even think of that, Midoriya?

'Iida, you've got it wrong!' he said to me, coming up to me. 'It's not like it's ok for us to break the rules -'

And I punched him in the face. At that point, I just couldn't take it anymore.

'I'm frustrated too! I'm worried! Who wouldn't be? I'm the class president! I worry about my classmates! Seeing your injuries, lying on the bed, just like my brother…if you guys go through with this rashness - if something happens to you that can't be recovered from - are you saying my concerns don't mean anything? Do my feelings not mean anything?' I grabbed his shoulders and held him, almost trying to hold him to me. To stop him, physically if need be.

'Iida…' said Midoriya.

'Iida!' said Todoroki. 'We're not trying to confront and attack them head on. Not at all. We're going to rescue him without combat.'

'This is a covert operation! A way for us to fight without breaking the rules!'

'I trust in Todoroki's judgement,' said Yaoyorozu. 'But I came with the attention of accompanying you all. As a failure, should the unthinkable happen, I will prevent combat.'

'Yaoyorozu!' I cried out. You too?

'I don't really understand it myself,' said Midoriya. 'After being told that my hands can still reach him, I can't just sit around. I can't help but think I want to save him!'

I thought it over, just for a moment. A parallel, huh? In that case, take me with you!'

We all walked away together. Midoriya seemed to be stumbling a bit; I could still see on his face where I had hit him….

"Midoriya," I said to him, "I apologize for getting violent with you. I'm sorry."

"Really, Iida," said Yaoyorozu. "Your argument for coming along isn't really all that persuasive."

"It's OK! I've forgotten about it already!" cried Midoriya.

I took a breath in and pushed my glasses up my nose to get a clearer look at them.

"It's precisely because I can't accept your behavior that I'm coming along. If I get so much as a whiff of the possibility of combat, I will bring you back immediately. I'll be your guardian, so to speak. That's right, like Watchman!"

"Watchman Iida," said Todoroki.

"Me too," said Yaoyorozu. "This is a job for the pros. From the outset, there has been absolutely no need for you all to get involved. Call me watchmen Yaoyorozu. However, because I understand how you guys feel. You can call this a compromise plan. Don't you forget it." She held up the new receiver and gave us all a nod.

With that, we were headed to the train station.

Yaoyorozu told us on the way, "All right, the coordinates of the tracking device point to the Kamino ward of Yokohama city in the Kanazawa Prefecture. We'll be departing from Nagano, so it will take us about two hours. Which should get us there at around 10."

"Hey, um…did you tell the others about the specifics around our plan?" asked Midoriya.

"Yeah, after we did they just tried to stop us from going," said Todoroki.

"Uraraka had some pretty harsh words for us," said Kirishima.

"Uraraka did?" said Midoriya, surprised.

They told him what Uraraka had said, what'd gone down that afternoon.

Todoroki took a deep breath. "In any case, listen. No matter how you look at it, what we're trying to do is driven by our own egos. If you want to turn back, it's not too late,"

Kirishima snapped, "If I wasn't sure about this I wouldn't have suggested it in the first place! He's not the kind of guy who will want to just let the villains have their own way."

"I…there's no way I can turn back now," said Midoriya.

I turned away, closed my eyes. There's really no stopping you once you've made up your mind to something.

It was right in Camino ward, the city was filled with people, busy and dangerous.

"We're here! Camino Ward! They villains are hiding around here somewhere in this city."

"Lots of people here, huh?"

"All right, tell me where to go Yaoyorozu!" shouted Kirishima, tearing off without a second thought.

"Please hold on a second!" said Yaoyorozu. "If we don't proceed with every precaution from here on out! Don't forget that the villains know our faces now!"

"That's right! It's a covert mission!" said Midoriya.

"But in that case, we can't even go on and scout!" I said, wondering if there was anything we were even here to try.

"And on that note," said Yaoyorozu. I have a proposition for you all!"

She pointed us to the local Donki Ote store, where we could buy costume props on the cheap.

I slicked back my hair, and was soon attired without my glasses, a false mustache, a suit suit, bow tie, suspenders and suit pants.

We were all disguised like grown ups in the shopping district.

"Aww right!" cried Midoriya. "Let's go!"

"I see. Disguises, huh?" said Todoroki.

"This feels ridiculous," I muttered, but Kirishima informed me that I simply needed to "get into character".

"We're in the night shopping district! A bunch of kids wandering around will attract too much attention!" said Yaoyorozu.

Deciding to get into the spirit things, under Kirishima's instruction, I cried what I thought a man might say in this position:

"We've got women with large breasts !"

Kirishima gave me an odd thumbs up.

"Yaoyorozu," said Todoroki. "Wouldn't these have been free if you just made them with your quirk?"

"Th-th-that's a violation of the rules! If I just went on and used my quirk to make whatever I wanted, the circulation of currency in the that's right - as a citizen of the country, I have to contribute - to the economy!"

"Oh? Isn't that UA?"

"Aw - aw rihgt?" cried Midoriya.

We turned - but we hadn't been spotted. Instead, the crowds were looking up at the TV broadcast."

"And now, a scene from the events that have just transpired. Here's a clip of the public apology issued by the official at UA academy."

Sensei, Vlad King, and Principal Nezu, in their best suits, were speaking at a Press Conference.

"On this occasion, our incompetence resulted in the injuries of 27 of our first year student heroes. Despite being an institution for the development of heroes, we were negligent in our defense against evil interests and have caused great anxiety within society. With the utmost sincerity, we respectfully and humbly apologize for our shortcomings."

"Even Aizawa, who hates the media…" said Kirishima.

"Reporting with NHA. This is the fourth time this ear your academy where students have come into contact with villains. This time, students were injured. How exactly did you explain this to their families? Please tell us specifically what measures have been taken to address this matter."

Kirishima's side:

"They're being treated like criminals…" said Midoriya.

Nezu said, "We have strengthened the security around the school, and we have re-examined the campus' crime prevention system. We are taking strong measures to guarantee the safety of our students. That was the explanation we gave."

Kirishima's side:

We heard the crowd muttering. "EH? They're not protecting them at all! What are these guys saying?"

The mood was changing.

People were turning against heroes.

And we're only making things worse.
