Later on, after Mr. Aizawa and All Might visited my parents, I gave Eiji a call and asked how his home visit went. He told me in detail…it sounded rough, honestly, over the phone even.

It wasn't rough on my end.

All Might-sensei and Mr. Aizawa arrived around midday. It was so weird seeing them now - Mr. Aizawa was normally the scruffy one, the one who looked like he hadn't slept in days, and All Might normally would be standing tall and grinning in a crisp new suit. But now it was the other way around.

Kirishima's side:

So weird now, seeing Sensei like that. All Might, the great big strongman we all knew, was now a little skeleton guy, and Mr. Aizawa was clean-shaven and dressed in a suit, looking like a Tv announcer or something.

Mom was just bowled over to see him. I don't think I've ever told you about my mom, huh?

Nope. What's she like?

Super serious about most things, but she really likes All Might. And Crimson Riot. We're both fans of classic heroes, you know? Typical smiling champions of justice and goodness and all that? So she was pretty over the moon to see All Might, even…even the way he is now.

Ashido's side:

My parents were excited too, but not as much, I guess? Mom and Dad are always busy enough that they don't seem to pay much attention to hero things. But yeah, I mean, they're like everyone else too,and they think All Might's the coolest, and it's been so weird since he ended his career for them too.

They've heard about Mr. Aizawa from me, of course, and seen him on TV. I think Mom was actually really impressed by him, oddly. She got all gushy like she thought he was cute or something. It was so embarrassing! I guess he is kinda good-looking that way…

Kirishima's side:

Is he? Our sensei?

Yeah, you know…with the longer black hair…combed up now and all.

I didn't know you liked dark hair…

Um…I -

Anyway, so they sat down in the living room…

We'd prepped some tea and stuff, and our teachers were pretty civil, asking if we'd gotten the letter and all.

Ashido's Side:

"Did you receive the letter from UA, about moving students into dormitories?" All Might sensei asked.

"Yes, sir," said my old man, and then Mom jumped in.

"We're all for it! Sounds like a great plan. I mean, way to keep our kids under good guard! Pro Heroes like you guys watching out for our Mina, I bet she's way safer than she'd be here. Especially if those villains are after her class!"

"We'd like to hope the villains involved have no interest in our students in particular," said Mr. Aizawa. "But we hope to protect them as best we can, by having them under our supervision at UA."

"Of course you do!" grinned Mom, who kept looking at Mr. Aizawa the whole time, and meanwhile Dad was all in awe about having All Might in our living room, and man, was I embarrassed by both of them, as Dad just started being all fawning.

"Would you care for something new to eat, Mr. All Might? We have an extensive collection ready. If you'd care for such a thing. Also wine - my business provides extensive beverage service…"

"Dad," I said, cause hey, guy in bandages! No way he can drink. All Might sensei smiled it off well, and when he smiles a bit you can kinda tell that he really is the same guy, you know? I mean, his face like it is now, it's easy to be like, 'no way he can be All Might! Not our great big grinning symbol of peace!' But then he smiles and you can see that it's true.

Anyway then Mom was all, "I was very impressed by your press conference, Mr. Aizawa, or Eraserhead, if you prefer. Mina tells us you gave the students permission to fight, but also made sure she and her friends, who were already safe, couldn't go into more danger. That takes good judgment, right dear?" to my dad. "It sounds to me like you know how to keep teenagers safe. What is your quirk, by the way? I don't think I've heard of you."

Sensei said simply, "I can erase the quirks of anyone I look at, for a time." He gave me a funny look, like he was wondering why I'd never told my folks that, and I jumped in fast and said, "Yeah, it's really helpful against villains and all!"

Dad nodded. "I believe Mina will be quite safe in your hands. With a power like that, no villain would stand a chance."

"Thank you," said Sensei, looking kinda confused how to respond to all this praise.

I actually got to escort them out to their car. Mom and dad stayed on the front doorstep, chatting about the honor we'd gotten.

"Sorry bout that, sensei," I said to Mr. Aizawa.

"It's fine." He paused for a moment. Then glanced at All Might. All Might looked at me super stern and spoke really quietly.

"Ashido, were you aware of what your classmates went to do, in Kamino?"

I practically jumped outta my skin when eh said that. I hope I'm not gonna get you in trouble. But I had to say it, right? I think they already knew.

"Yes, sir," I looked down. "We - all kinda knew."

All Might and sensei looked kinda sad. But they didn't reprimand me. Aizawa sensei simply said, "You'll get a packing list in the mail soon. Until then, try to recover a bit. You've all been through a lot."

And they left me there, relieved that that was all we'd have t go through.

Kirishima's side:

Mom served All Might and Mr. Aizawa some tea. Then she said,

"I know about the dorm systems. I've been thinking them through…and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm not sure I can trust you guys, after everything that's happened. It's true that nothing happened to Eijiro, but the fact does not change that - that villains have attacked students over and over again in your school. That my son will be in danger if he continues going there. It's not that I'm not grateful," she added, bowing. "To both of you, for everything you've done - to protect my son, his classmates, and the world. Especially you, sir, in Kamino. Your fight was extraordinary - and I'm very grateful. But - I need to know, before I entrust my son to you. I need more than just that."

All Might said, "Madam, we know that things at UA cannot continue the way they have. We're not going to make the same mistakes again. Rather, we will -"

"What mistakes were those, exactly?" Mom interrupted. I tried not to jump over her - I hated seeing Sensei look so down - but she wasn't about to let me start.

"We were too arrogant," explained Aizawa. "We believed we could handle things by simply assuring the world of our students' safety. But now it's clear that that is not enough. We will be changing our entire attitude - as teachers, and as pro heroes - towards this coming threat."

All Might nodded. "The staff at UA have their suspicions, and directions they intend to take. But until then," he said, looking my mom straight in the eye, "I will be there. At UA, to watch over young Eijirou, and ensure he can become the greatest hero he can be."

It was kinda hard to argue with that. All Might-sensei, you know…he has a way of saying things. I almost teared up at how manly the whole speech was. I totally get why Midoriya and Bakugou are so into being just like him.

Ashido's Side:

"You heard anything from Bakugou? Or Midoriya? Since what happened?"

"No. Just a text from Midoriya saying he was ok and back at home."

"Were they really upset?"

"Yeah. They…you know how they are about All Might, both of them. I had no idea what to say to them. How do you help two guys when their favorite hero loses all his power? What do you even say?"

"We should plan something fun for them. When we all move into the dorms, we should have a party or something, loosen things up."

"A party? Huh."

"Yep! I'll brainstorm ideas. I'm sure we'll come up with something. I mean, after all this stress, we could use some fun, don't you think?"

"Yeah. You're right. Some fun! Living in dorms."

"So new, huh? I've never lived away from home before. You?"

"Nope. Except for training camp."

"This'll be the real deal. Moving away, living on our own. I'm excited!"

"You were really pumped for training camp, too…not that I think this'll turn out like that. But I mean - how come you're so excited to live away from home?"

I thought about that. It's not like I have a problem with home, or anything. My parents are great. But…

"Well…I guess I really like you guys. And…I like spending time with everyone. I suppose I'm just psyched to do it every day."
