It should not have taken Harry this long to notice them. The swords of Lufty's back were huge: two in a black sheath, and one in a white sheath.

"Luffy, did you go scouring around the base for every sword you could find?" Harry asked.

Luffy pulled the three swords off his back. "Oh no, these were all in that idiot son's room." He showed off the swords to Zoro. "I didn't know which one was yours so I brought all of them."

"They're all mine. I practice Santoryu, the three sword style," Zoro explained.

Both twins looked at each other confused. Luffy didn't think too much of it as he faced Zoro again. Harry tried to figure out where Zoro held the third sword.

"Just take them," Luffy said. "But know that if you fight with us now you'll be labeled a government criminal."

"That is unless you want us to leave you to be shot up by the marines," Harry added leaning against the post again. "Your choice."

Zoro smirked. "What are you two, the sons of the Devil? Doesn't matter anyway. I'd rather not be dead on these sticks so let's do this."

Harry beamed while Luffy started cheering. It was short lived though as by this point the marines had gotten over their surprise about Luffy's powers and started charging them with swords.

Zoro noticed this and shouted at Luffy who didn't notice this over his own happiness. "Will you stop celebrating and untie me already!"

"Chill, Zoro, I got this," Harry said and snapped his fingers. "Diffindo".

The ropes that bound Zoro were magically chopped to pieces, freeing the swordsman. Zoro quickly unsheathed his swords in Luffy's hands, placing the white one in his mouth, and the other two were in his hands. He turned around so that he was facing the pirates with his back to the marines.

Holding his swords up, Zoro was able to block all the marines without even struggling.

Luffy and Koby were gaping in awestruck. Harry also looked impressed but kept his expression to a minimum.

"Make one move and you die," Zoro warned the marines. The marines looked like they were going to wet themselves. Zoro addressed his new captain. "Today I officially became a criminal having fought the marines. So I'll become a pirate. That I can promise you. But I want you to know one thing, the only thing I will dedicate myself to is fulfilling my ambition. If somewhere along the way I have to give that up I want you to accept responsibility. Afterwards you get to apologize."

Luffy nodded. "Like I said, I'm aiming to become King of the Pirates. Having the world's greatest swordsman on my crew will be a big help." Zoro just chuckled at Luffy's big talk.

Morgan then ruined the moment. "What are you cowards standing around for? Kill all four of them right now!"

Luffy told Zoro to duck. He used his Gum-Gum whip to get rid of all the marines. Well all except one.

"Stupify!" A voice cried out.

Harry turned and casted a shield just in time as Percy launched a spell at the group. After Harry removed the shield he stepped forward to face Percy.

This was his first wizard duel as a pirate and he was looking forward to it.

"Hey Luffy, I want to handle this one on my own. Can you and Zoro handle the others?" Harry asked his captain.

Luffy nodded and cheered. "Go for it, bro!" Luffy charged straight to Morgan.

Harry started things off by casting Levicorpus, hoisting Percy by his ankles and sending him into the air. Percy quickly dispelled that with Liberacorpus, landing on his feet before casting Incarcerous. Ropes quickly bound Harry but he just cast another Diffindo spell to get rid of them. That turned out to be a distraction as Percy then casted Rictusempra. Harry was overcome with laughter.

"Nothing personal, pirate." Percy said now that Harry was seemingly out of the fight. "But Captain Morgan's earned his position and as his subordinate I am more than willing to follow."

Harry was barely able to gasp out Finite Incantatem to undo the tickle spell.

Percy, seeing this, quickly casted a stunning spell but Harry was quickly able to move out of the way.

"You mean you're willing to terrorize the civilians for no adequate reason?" Harry asked the marine.

Percy scowled. "And why should a pirate like you care?" He asked in return, casting the Petrificus Totalus.

Harry quickly dodged. "Why is a marine like you not?" Harry casted the Bat-Bogey hex at the marine.

Percy was able to get rid of the bats but then Harry casted Locomotor Mortis locking Percy's legs. Before either could cast another spell, Helmeppo suddenly spoke up.

"Hey Straw Hat, Pirate Wizard, both of you stop! I've got something you two would want to see." Harry turned and froze when he saw Helmeppo holding a gun to Koby's face.

Both of them were shaking. But surprisingly Helmeppo was shaking more than Koby. Luffy didn't notice as he was still punching Morgan.

Harry turned to his twin. "Luffy, time-out! We've got a situation!"

Luffy finally stopped to see what was going on.

"If you two value your friend's life then you wont move a mussel!" Helmeppo demanded. While Koby looked nervous, he had stopped shaking. Luffy saw this and smiled.

"Luffy! Harry! I don't care what happens to me! Even if I die you two keep fighting!" Koby shouted.

Harry just watched with a proud look on his face. Luffy calmly walked over to Helmeppo. "You hear that, you big idiot? Koby's ready to die by your hand."

Helemppo kept shouting at Luffy to stop. Instead, Luffy readied one of his Gum-Gum Pistols. Behind him, Morgan had gotten back up and was ready to kill Luffy. Harry raised his hand, ready to cast another spell at Morgan.

Zoro put his third sword back in his mouth. Harry got ready to stand down, figuring that Zoro could handle it. But then he spotted Percy. Percy held up his hand, aiming at Zoro. He didn't even unlock his legs.

Harry leapt at Percy. He stopped the attack with a kick to the face.

At the same time Zoro had cut Morgan down.

Luffy was able to punch Helmeppo before he could shoot Koby.

"Nice one, Zoro," Luffy cheered as his arm retracted back.

"Just doing my job, captain." Zoro replied before looking at Harry who had joined them. "And thanks for taking care of that marine wizard for me."

Harry waved it off. "Just helping out a fellow crewmate."

Morgan and Helmeppo were unconscious. Percy was now sporting a bloody nose, meaning the pirates had won, much to the other marines' shock. Zoro challenged the other marines to try and fight them. The marines threw up their caps, swords, and rifles and started cheering.

Harry glanced over at Percy who was stunned.

"Was Captain Morgan really wrong?" He muttered through the blood. "I knew the other villagers were terrified of him but I just figured he was being strict to keep them safe."

Harry walked back to him. "You should have realized at some point that your captain cared more about himself than his men. Someone like him doesn't deserve the right to a position."

Percy considered this, looking at his colleagues who were celebrating. "All I ever wanted was to be a true marine. I had looked up to the captain thinking his strength had no bounds."

"It takes more than strength, it takes heart," Harry countered. He sat down beside Percy. "And that's something you can't really do alone."

Percy scoffed and turned his head. "I don't think anyone in my unit will support me with that. Because of my loyalty to Morgan I was often shunned away."

Koby was freaking out. Zoro ran out of adrenaline, passing out. Koby panicked over Zoro's unconscious state. Harry got an idea. "Well I'm sure Koby over there would take you in. That is if you take him in return."

Percy finally unlocked his legs. He sat up next to Harry. "What do you mean? Isn't he with you?"

Harry looked at Percy dead in the eyes and said "No way! He was just tagging along to help Zoro but he has full intention of becoming a marine officer."

Percy and Harry shared a look for a moment before looking at Koby. The kid was barely afraid when Helmeppo nearly shot him. Could someone like him help Percy become a true marine. Could Koby become one himself?

Luffy helped Zoro back to his feet and called out to his twin. "Hey Harry, come on! Let's go get some victory food!"

Harry got to his feet to join them, leaving Percy to his thoughts.

The pirates and Koby went back to Rika's mother's restaurant. She gave them all the food they could eat. Harry made sure Luffy didn't take her up on that by eating the place dry.

Zoro joined them after getting a much needed shower. "Man I am stuffed," He rubbed his now full belly. "After not eating for three weeks I was almost ready to knaw my boots off."

Everyone giggled at that.

Luffy was still eating. "I can't believe you're already finished."

Harry bonked him on the head. "Luffy, not everyone's got a black hole stomach like you." He laughed.

Zoro was looking at his new captain confused. "How the hell can you have a bigger appetite than me anyway?"

"It's part of his rubber powers. His stomach can stretch along with everything else." Harry explained. Zoro hummed in acknowledgement as Rika walked over to Luffy.

"You were really awesome out there." She told him.

Luffy smiled "Yeah and I plan on being even greater once I find the One Piece and become King of the Pirates." He looked at Zoro and added. "Oh and have the best crew as well."

Zoro took this moment to ask "So you said I was your first member right?" The twins nodded. "So what position would I have then? Luffy is the captain so Harry, I'm assuming you're the first mate."

Harry shook his head "Actually I took up the position of chronicler so the position of first mate is yours."

Zoro smiles wider at that. "Alright then. Works for me. What about y'all's ship?"

Luffy pointed out the window while Harry warned him. "It's just a small boat. We'll get a proper ship when we have more people to run it."

Zoro looked annoyed at that but didn't complain.

"I think Harry's the one who took all the ability to plan things through," Koby jokes. Harry chuckled at that because honestly, he wasn't wrong.

"So where are you going next?" Rika asked.

Luffy spoke up but Harry quickly stepped in before he said something that would freak out Koby again. "We like to go where the wind takes us. But our ultimate destination is the Grand Line."

Luffy nodded in agreement. "The Grand Line is said to be where the One Piece is held so that's where we're going!"

To Koby's credit, he didn't freak out this time but he still didn't seem to like their answer. "It's way too dangerous!" He insisted.

"Why do you care? It's not like you're going with us," Zoro pointed out.

Koby faltered for a moment but was quick in his answer. "Well I still worry about you three. I mean even though I met Luffy and Harry not even a day ago I'd still like to think we're friends, right?"

"Well yeah," Harry said.

"We may have to part way, but we'll always be friends," Luffy added.

Koby looked relieved. "You know when I was a kid, I never really had any friends, let alone someone who would fight for me. So I never really bothered fighting for anything before. But the three of you have taught me a valuable lesson. And that's why I'm going to fulfill my childhood dream and join the marines."

"Then shouldn't you be more worried about that?" Zoro asked him. At Koby's confusion he elaborated. "Even if you were just a cabin boy, you were part of Alvida's pirate crew. The marine's information gathering is top notch. If they find out about your time with Alvida, they'll never let you join."

Both Koby and Harry froze at that. Neither of them had thought about that. And Harry even suggested recruiting him to that Percy fellow. He's probably already finding out about this stuff right now and is already making plans on arresting him.

Right on cue, the marines showed up at just that moment. Most of them stayed outside but Percy, and the older man with the green scarf (probably some kind of lieutenant if Harry remembered correctly) entered the building and approached the four of them.

"We heard that you fellas are actually pirates. Is this rumor true?" The lieutenant asked them.

"Yeah, and my brother and I just got our first actual crewmate so the whole thing is official," Luffy answered.

The lieutenant nodded in acknowledgement. "We appreciate what you did in saving this town from that horrible tyrant. However, now that we know you are pirates, we can't let you go about your business anymore." Harry tensed up, ready for another fight. Thankfully that wasn't necessary as the marine continued. "I'm going to have to ask you and your crew to leave town. And as thanks for what you have done, we won't report you to headquarters."

Several of the citizens shouted in protest to this but Harry found this fair. Luffy didn't complain either as he stood up along with Zoro and all three pirates made their way out. Much to Rika's dismay. Koby didn't move from his spot. The lieutenant took notice of this and asked him. "Excuse me, aren't you with these pirates?"

At this Percy approached his superior. "Actually sir, he approached me after the battle with Morgan and said that he wanted to join the marines. I've already done a thorough background check on him and he is clean."

The lieutenant gave Percy a stern look. "Is that so?"

It was then Koby turned around and looked the lieutenant dead in the eyes. "It's been my dream to become a marine. Please let me join." He and the lieutenant stared at each other for a minute.

The lieutenant walked past him as he said. "I can't tell you how many men we lose to the seas. You're taking a very big step today."

"So?" Koby asked.

"Permission to join, granted," the lieutenant confirmed before turning around to address Percy. "Since you were the one who decided to recruit him, he is your responsibility. Understand?"

Both Percy and Koby saluted and shouted "Sir!"

The lieutenant nodded before noticing the pirates were watching them. "Percy, why don't you escort these pirates to the docks," he ordered.

Percy nodded and made his way to the trio who started following him.

Harry caught up to his side. "Did you really do a background check on Koby?" he asked.

Percy nodded. "I did discover his affiliation with the pirate Alvida, however I am taking your word for it. I decided to sponge it from his records. Don't make me regret it."

Harry and Luffy breathed out a sigh of relief. Now Koby has a clear shot for his dreams. The group made their way to the docks and Luffy undid the rope while Harry lowered the sail. Before they could set sail they heard Koby call out to them. Looking back at the docks they see not only him but Rika and her mother as well.

Koby saluted them. "Thank you very much you two. You've done more for me than anyone ever has."

"This is new. A pirate being saluted by a marine," Zoro noted.

Harry directed the sail while Luffy waved goodbye to Koby.

"We'll meet again someday Koby!" Luffy promised him.

"All hands salute!" Harry turned around and saw the whole platoon saluting them. Percy included. Luffy continued to laugh and wave while Harry focused on his sailing. Zoro just smiled and enjoyed the moment.

When the town was out of sight, Luffy made his way to the front of the boat. "At last our pirate crew finally sets sail!" he cheered.

"I get the feeling we're going to have some interesting adventures ahead of us," Zoro said.

"Don't I know it," Harry agreed.

Luffy also nodded while saying "I'm going to be King of the Pirates someday. I know it."

Zoro gave a thoughtful expression. "You keep talking about becoming King of the Pirates. There a reason behind it?"

"No real reason. It's just, when Harry and I were kids, I swore to someone that I would find the world's greatest crew, find the ultimate treasure, and become King of the Pirates someday."

Zoro smiled. He could apparently get behind a childhood promise made real.

"What about you Zoro?" Harry asked him. At Zoro's confusion Harry elaborated. "Why do you want to be the world's greatest swordsman?"

"Actually it's a similar reason to Luffy," Zoro explained. "Made a promise to someone and I intend to keep it."

Harry noted the way his thumb stroke the hilt of the white sword but decided not to say anything about it. If Zoro wanted to go into details he could do it on his own time.

And with that the three made their way to their next destination.
