Summary: In Ikebukuro-U, Hachiman Hikigaya finally manages to have some like-minded friends.

"She is missing her head." Hachiman Hikigaya states.

"She is missing her head." Koyomi Araragi repeats.

"She is missing her head?" Kyon asks.

"May I?" Sakuta Azusagawa doesn't wait for permission. He removes her helmet in a swift manner and he is blasted by a thick, inky, black smoke from where her head should be but clearly isn't. He lets out a small, low whistle. "Huh. She really doesn't have a head."

"She doesn't have a head!" Tatsuhiro Satou panics.

"That's what he said." Kiyotaka Ayanokouji says in a normal voice.

"Don't feel scared." Tanaka is listless as ever. He waves one hand around the smoke coming from her neck. "We don't think you are a monster."

Celty Sturluson unzips her black jumpsuit a little and takes out her PDA. Her fingers type on the screen with practiced ease. [I never said I was a monster]

"But you looked uncomfortable when Azusagawa removed your helmet." Houtarou Oreki deduces. "You were afraid to see our reaction."

"I'm sorry." Tatsuhiro Satou apologizes. "I'm still not used to the whole supernatural business that has become commonplace in Ikebukuro." He looks a bit embarrassed. "I'm also heavily medicated and seeing you without a head was a shock to the system, I guess."

Hachiman chuckles. "You should have seen his reaction when he met Legoshi."

"He thought I was gonna eat him." Legoshi, the grey wolf says.

All of them share a small laugh.

Celty feels a bit happy. She had heard about these guys online. They operate out of Ikebukuro-U mostly, but they have a place of their own in the city where they act as consultants. It's a long shot, but she is at her wits end and after the fallout with Shinra, she doesn't have a place to live and her head is still missing and she has no idea why she came to them in the first place.

But as she is about to leave, Hachiman Hikigaya, who she assumes to be their leader of sorts hands her a small piece of paper. It has an address written in it and if she had a head, she would have looked perplexed. But she only manages to turn her helmet to the side and wait for further instructions.

"Ask for Shouko Nishimiya." He whispers. "She lives at Sakurasou."

Celty nods. But he isn't finished with her yet.

"And we both know who might know the whereabouts of your head." Hachiman murmurs. "You just have to figure out how to get it from him."

[Him?] Celty types.

"Izaya Orihara."

Of course, he should know about it. If she had her head, she might have given him a kiss on the cheek. She is fifty percent sure he might not feel grossed out about it. After all, Hachiman Hikigaya is a weird guy. He had to be to have these people as his friends, she thinks with a peculiar bit of fondness.

A/N: Now this one-shot is set in Ikebukuro and all the one-shots taking place in this universe will feature Hachiman and his friends and also guest characters from shonen/seinen anime.
