Chapter 5
Moka vs Yuma part 2
"Rgh, what am I gonna do?", said Yuma to himself. "If I don't defeat her, I become her personal juice pouch and my friends become, whatever Moka wants".
"If you're finished, then it's MY move", said Moka drawing the top card of her deck. "I activate the spell card, Vampire's Necromancy".
"Necro-what?" Asked Yuma scratching his head.
"Necromancy is the act of talking to the dead to predict the future" said Caswel.
"Looks like some did their homework", said Moka. "Since my graveyard has at least three Vampires residing in it, I get to look at the top five cards your deck and you get to look at the top five cards of my deck. Then we choose four cards from those and send them to the graveyard. The final cards gets added to our hands".
"So, she's making Yuma discard his own cards" said Tori.
"That can't be good" said Cathy.
Yuma and Moka then drew the top five cards of their decks.
"Ladies first", said Moka. "So show me your hand". Large holograms of the cards that Yuma drew appeared in front Moka.
"I choose", said Moka. "Zubaba Knight, BachiBachiBachi, Bite Bug and Mirror Mail". Yuma then tossed the cards into his graveyard.
"Now it's my turn", said Yuma. "Show me YOUR hand". Holograms of the cards Moka drew appeared in front of Yuma.
"Time for you to discard Necro Wand, Vampire Lord, Pyramid Turtle and Vampire Domain" said Yuma. Moka then tossed the cards into her graveyard.
"Now", said Moka. "The one cards we didn't pick gets added to our hands".
"Uh, okay", said Yuma rather confused. "Is there a reason you're helping me?".
"Have you forgotten something?" Asked Moka. Yuma then remembered.
"Call of The Mummy" said Yuma.
"That's right", said Moka. "Since there are no monsters on my field, I can special summon a zombie from my hand. And I choose Vampire Red Baron". Moka's new monster was a vampiric knight in black armour with gold trimming and carried two lances of the same design. He rode a purple horse that was decked out in similar armour.

"I now activate Vampire Soul Summon", said Moka. "With this card, I can summon one level 6 or below Vampire monster from my Graveyard. So, say welcome back to Vampire Lady". Her monster then returned.
"Next", said Moka. "I tribute my Vampire Lady to summon Vampire Curse". Her Vampire Lady disappeared and in her place was a vampire with lavender skin, red eyes, teal spiked hair and wore armour that two different shades of purple and wore blue mail underneath. It's wings were draped over his shoulders like a cape.
Vampire Curse

"Oh crap, she's got two level 6 monsters" said Flip.
"I overlay Curse and Red Baron", said Moka performing the summon. "With these two monsters, I build the overlay network! I Xyz summon! Pilgrim Reaper!". Moka's new monster was a skeleton dressed up in a black robe with black feathered wings on the back and carried a large scythe.

"There goes the reward for freakiest monster" said Bronk.
"It looks something out of a horror movie I watched" said Kari.
"At least that thing has 0 attack points" said Cathy.
"Now for my Reaper's first ability", said Moka. "It gains 200 attack and defence points for every Dark monster in the grave, including yours".
"Including mine!" Shouted Yuma.
"Last time I checked", said Moka. "I have Lady, Duke, Fraulein, Familiar, Lord, Bram and Zombie Master in my grave. You, on the other hand have both your Gagagas, Kagetokage and Maestroke. Added together, that's 11. So that's 2200 points".
Pilgrim Reaper

"Oh no", said Caswel. "Yuma's got no monsters to protect him".
"Now attack Yuma directly!" Shouted Moka. Pilgrim Reaper then charged forward and drew it's scythe back.
"When you attack me", said Yuma. "I can special summon Gentlemander from my hand to block your attack". Yuma's new monster was a pink salamander dressed up as a gentleman.
Gentlemander

Pilgrim Reaper then destroyed Gentlemander.
Yuma: 3700 - 1000 = 2700
"Now for my reaper's second ability", said Moka. "I use an overlay unit and each of us have to send the top 5 cards of our decks to the graveyard".
"Wait! Top FIVE!" Shouted Yuma.
"At this rate Yuma's gonna lose his entire deck" said Flip.
"Stay strong Yuma" said Cathy. Both Moka and Yuma then sent the top cards of their decks to the graveyard.
"Among my cards were Vampire Retainer, Scarlet Scourge and Grimson", said Moka. "And the Curse I just detached and that's an extra 600 points
Pilgrim Reaper
ATK: 2200 + 600 = 2800
DEF: 2200 + 600 = 2800
"What about you?", asked Moka. "Got any dark monsters?".
"Sorry, but no" said Yuma.
"Pity", said Moka. "I'll place this facedown and end my turn".
"Then it's my move", said Yuma drawing the top card of his deck. "Okay, I gotta do something to get rid of that reaper, but what?".
"Calm down and focus Yuma", said Astral. "If I were you, I'd play the card on the left and then the one next to it".
"You sure?" Asked Yuma.
"I'm positive" replied Astral.
"Okay, I trust you", said Yuma. "I summon Crane Crane". Yuma's new monster was a crane made to look like a crane bird.

"Now for Crane Crane's ability", said Yuma. "I can special summon one level 3 or below monster from my graveyard. So I choose Bite Bug". A blue bug with a cartoonish face with six legs appeared on his field.

"And if you control a monster while I control a level 3 monster", said Yuma. "I can special summon Mimimic from my hand". Yuma's new monster was a weird wind-up toy.

"Three level three monsters", said Moka. "I know what you're planning".
"I overlay my level 3 Crane Crane, Bite Bug and Mimimic", said Yuma performing the summon. "With these three monsters I build the Overlay Network! I Xyz summon! Number 34! Terror-Byte!". Yuma's new monster was a robotic microchip shaped like a rhinoceros.

"And since this guy's in defence mode", said Yuma. "You won't be getting anywhere".
"Do you end your turn?" Asked Moka.
"Yes" said Yuma.
"Then it's my move", said Moka drawing the top card of her deck. "I play Pilgrim Reaper's ability. Say farewell to the top 5 cards of your deck and the top 5 cards of mine". So, Yuma and Moka then threw 5 cards each into their graveyards.
"There were three more monsters that were dark that were sent to my graveyard", said Moka. "Tristan knight of the underworld, Vampire Retainer and Necroworld Banshee. So that's 600 more points for Pilgrim Reaper".
Pilgrim Reaper
ATK: 2800 + 600 = 3400
DEF: 2800 + 600 = 3400
"3400 points" said Cathy in pure shock.
"It's a good thing that Yuma has Terror-Byte on the field" said Caswel.
"He won't for long" said Moka.
"And how do you plan on that?" Asked Yuma smugly.
"You shouldn't ask questions you don't want answers to", said Moka. "I play the spell card, shield crush".
"Oh no" said Caswel.
"Oh crap", said Yuma."I heard about that card. It destroys any monster on the field in defence mode".
"Well well well, you DO have a brain in that empty head of yours" said Moka. Terror-byte then started to crack before he was destroyed.
"And since another dark monster is in the grave", said Moka. "That's an extra 200 attack and defence points".
Pilgrim Reaper
ATK: 3400 + 200 = 3600
DEF: 3400 + 200 = 3600
"Oh man, that reaper keeps getting stronger" said Bronk.
"Yuma's gotta get rid of that reaper" said Cathy.
"I play Vampire's Peace Offering", said Moka. "Since I have at least 2 vampire monsters in my graveyard, all I have to do is skip my battle phase this turn and both of us can draw from our decks until we're both holding six cards in our hands". Each of them then drew until they had six cards in their hands.
"I end my turn" said Moka.
"Then it's my move" said Yuma drawing the top card of his deck.
"Yuma", said Astral. "Might I suggest you play the spell card in the centre".
"Okay, if you say so", said Yuma. "I activate Monster Reborn. Now, I can bring any monster in the graveyard back to my field. I choose Gagaga Magician". His magician then returned.
"And since he's not in your graveyard anymore", said Yuma. "Your reaper is now 200 points weaker".
Pilgrim Reaper
ATK: 3600 - 200 = 3400
DEF: 3600 - 200 = 3400
"Now, if I lower it's attack points by 500", said Yuma. "I can normal summon Dododo Warrior from my hand". Yuma's new monster was a creature that resembled a Viking.
Dododo Warrior

"Now would be a good time to take it to the next level" said Astral.
"You bet", said Yuma. "I change Gagaga Magician's level to 6".
Gagaga Magician
Level: 4 + 2 = 6
"Now I overlay both Dododo Warrior and Gagaga Magician", said Yuma performing the summon. "With these two monsters, I build the overlay network! I Xyz summon! Gauntlet Launcher!". Yuma's new monster was a red and yellow robot with big bulky arms.

"Sweet, he got Gauntlet Launcher out" said Bronk.
"Let's hope he uses it right" said Flip.
"I activate Gauntlet Launcher's ability", said Yuma. "By using an overlay unit, I can destroy one monster on the field. So, say bye bye to your reaper. Go! Blast Punch!". One of the overlay units went into Gauntlet Launcher's arm and then sent it's fist forward before it destroyed Pilgrim Reaper.
"Sweet, he got rid of the reaper" said Bronk.
"And, there's more where that came from", said Yuma. "Like this direct attack! Go! Knuckle Rocket!". Gauntlet Launcher then launched it's fist and punched Moka in the gut.
Moka: 4000 - 2400 = 1600
"I'll place this card facedown and end my turn", said Yuma. "Just call me Yuma VanHellsing, 'cause I'm defeating a vampire".
"I don't think so", said Moka. "I activate the trap, Clone Coffin. When a monster I control is destroyed by battle or card effect, I can summon a Zombie from my deck who's level is equal to the rank or level of the monster that was destroyed. So, I summon Vampire Grace". Moka's new monster was a vampire dressed in a blue queen's gown, complete with cane and crown.
Vampire Grace

"Oh no" groaned Tori.
"That's not good" said Kari.
"My turn now", said Moka drawing the top card of her deck. "I summon another copy of Vampire Familiar". Familiar then appeared on her field.
"Next, I play the spell card, level mirroring", said Moka. "I can now choose one monster on the field and a monster I control can copy it's level. So, my familiar will now copy Grace's".
Vampire Familiar
Level: 2 + 4 = 6
"She's got two level 6's again" said Flip.
"Not good", said Caswel. "Not good".
"I overlay both my level 6 Vampire Grace and Vampire Familiar", said Moka performing the summon. "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network! I Xyz summon! Number 24! Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon!".
"There it is", said Yuma. "Her number card". A large cocoon then appeared on the field with it's overlay units circling around it. The cocoon the transformed into a dragon that was primarily black with red scratch-like marks on it's body. But, it also wore white armour in some pars and had yellow hair on it's back. On it's chest was a red '24'.
Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon

"Is that thing a vampire, or a dragon?" Asked Cathy.
"I think it's both" said Tori.
"Now for my dragon's special ability", said Moka. "I use an Overlay unit, and I can flip one monster summoned from the extra deck to face down defence position. So, I target your Gauntlet Launcher. Go! Vampiric Scream!". Dragulas then released a blood curdling scream that forced Yuma and his friends to cover their ears.
"Ow, crap crap crap crap shit shit shit!", cursed Yuma as he held his ears. "This is awful". Gauntlet Launcher was then flipped facedown.
'Next, I play the spell card, Nightmare Force", said Moka. "A monster I equip his to, not only gains 200 attack points for every dark monster in my grave, they also get privilege of dealing damage even if your monster's in defence mode. So, with 17 already there, it gains 3400 points".
Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon
ATK: 2400 + 3400 = 5800
"5800 attack points!" Shouted Cathy in fear.
"That's one bad dragon" said Kari.
"Now attack!", shouted Moka. "Crimson Stream!". Dragulas then fired out a stream of crimson energy and destroyed Gauntlet Launcher.
Yuma: 3700 - 3000 = 700
"I'll end my turn", said Moka. "Ya might as well surrender now. Said Moka, you're just one attack away from being my slave, forever". Yuma grunted as he looked at his hand.
"Yuma", said Astral. "You must not give up. You need to go all in. Double or nothing". Yuma then placed his hand on his deck.
'Please', Yuma prayed. 'Let me draw what I need'. He then drew the top card of his deck. He looked at it and smiled.
'Yes'.
"I play Gagaga back, to summon back Gagaga Magician as well as another monster", said Yuma. "I choose Gogogo Golem". Both monsters the appeared on his field.
"I overlay both Gagaga Magician and Gogogo Golem", said Yuma performing the summon. "With these two monsters I build the Overlay Network! I Xyz summon! Number 39! Utopia!". Yuma's iconic monster then appeared on the field. The sun then started to rise.
Number 39: Utopia

"Alright!" Cheered Cathy.
"He got Utopia out!" Cheered Tori.
"But it's still not strong enough to beat Dragulas" said Caswel.
"Utopia! Attack!" Shouted Yuma. Utopia then made it's move.
"Boy, you are stupid", said Moka. "You know you monster's weaker than mine".
"He won't be for long", said Yuma. "I play, Ego Boost, raising his attack points by 1000".
Number 39: Utopia
ATK: 2500 + 1000 = 3500
"Still too weak" said Moka.
"That's why I play Utopia's ability", said Yuma, "by using an overlay unit, I can stop his attack". Utopia then stopped.
"Then what was the point?" Asked Moka.
"This! Double or Nothing!", said Yuma. "I can now attack again with double the attack points". Utopia then glowed as bright as the sun.
Number 39: Utopia
ATK: 3500 + 3500 = 7000
"7000!" Shouted Moka.
"Now for the final card", said Yuma. "Xyz Slayer Force! When I destroy an Xyz monster by battle, you take damage equal to that monster's attack points". Utopia then drew it's swords.
"I-I lost" said Moka as she closed her eyes.
"UTOPIA! ATTACK!", shouted Yuma. "RISING SUN SLASH!". As the sun began to rise, Utopia then charged forward and sliced at Dragulas, causing it to scream in pain before it was destroyed. Moka was blown back by the force as her life points hit 0. The virtual reality then turned off.
"That was a tough ass duel", said Yuma. "If she wasn't so obsessed with drinking my blood, we could've been friends". Astral then held out his arm as a card came out of Moka and into his hand.
"Another number", said Astral. "Another memory". Tori and the others were then freed.
"We're free" said Tori.
"Speak for yourself", said Caswel. "I can't feel my legs".
"Those are my legs" said Cathy.
"So, what do we do with the vampire?" Asked Kari. Yuma then had an idea.
"I think I have an idea" he said.
