I just wanted to address the two most recent comments regarding these short stories. Here we go:
First, the stories can stand by themselves as one-shots AND are coherent with the general plot line I'm weaving together. All text in the 96' chapters will never be italicized, as they are told in the present storyline with El and her pregnancy. The past, or 85'-89' (about the time the Party moves on from HS) will always be in italics.
Second, I wanted to thank the guest who gave an honest critiquing of my writing. I don't claim to be perfect and that's not something I'll ever aspire to be, but I'd rather pack my pieces with details than deprive them of any at all. But upon other sets of eyes, I do see your point and will try to work on balancing my ideas more. Hopefully I can keep you interested with future updates.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that this series is a re-upload of sorts. They were first posted back in August of 2019 and all 11 chapters are on Archive Of Our Own. I originally posted them here too with the same format, but I decided to re-post in a story setting instead of having them separate.
Once I finish writing and have gotten feedback from my beta, I hit the publish button and move onto the next piece. I don't touch them again after the first 48 hours UNLESS I see something after re-reading. However, it's a good habit to improve past work if capable, so I will do so once I post the most recent installments (which I think are better, honestly) and finish adding to the next part of the Max/Lucas saga.
