6. chapter 6

Salvatore boarding school :

Alaric office :

Alaric was sitting at his desk , using a large golden magnifying glass to examine an illustration in an old Gaulish Tome that looked suspicious , oblivious to gargoyle lurking outside .

" he keep stalking Ric instead of ... , Why isn't he sneaking inside ? " . Elena asked perturbed .

" you want me dead that much , Lena !? " . Alaric joked trying to dispersed the worried expressions on his friends faces .

" not funny Ric " . Jeremy hissed with a glare .

" no the Doppelganger has a point , maybe he is waiting for you to leave the knife alone " . Kol hummed softly , " maybe he wanted to get away without being found out " . he suggested and the others nodded thinking over the possibility .

After a moment , Alaric put down the magnifying glass , picking up a Granny smith Apple that was sitting next to it in his desk and taking a bite from it , before he turned to stare at the supernatural knife which was resting in a glass tank filled with a clear liquid . after a moment he heard a knock on the Door and wasted no time in sending the visitor away in favor of continuing his research . " now not a good time... " . he called out distractedly .

The door's opened , revealing the visitor to be Emma , who gave him a knowing look as she walked toward him , " when I was brought on , I was told that counseling is mandatory to everyone in this school ... By you " . she stated with a sardonic smile .

" what ? , did Klaus Jr miss a session ? " . Damon snarked amusedly .

" No , she is speaking about Dr Saltzman " . Ayana corrected before the Mikaelson's temper flare .

Alaric looked surprised and worried , before he sighed , " should have seen that coming , what am I being treated for ? " . he asked Ayana curiously .

" PTSD , Depression and alcoholism " . Ayana answered him with a glare , Alaric winced and Jo's Eyes widened in alarm , Elena and Jeremy had deep frowns of concerns as they looked at the future Alaric .

Alaric face twisted and he tried to make his excuse , " I've got things to do , I will have to , uh , raincheck on therapy " .

" Alaric " . Elena shouted angrily .

" Ric , I know that you have a lot in your plate , but you do need this sessions. Even now " . Stefan advised him sadly .

" I won't agree with you missing a single session , we already have Lizzie to worry about " . Jo reprimanded , before turning to Emma and asking her Hopefully , " does she by any chance have therapy ? " .

Ayana smiled and assured her , " she had been having sessions and treatment from miss Emma since she was thirteen , both she and josette for that matter " .

Her words put a relived expressions on The Mystic falls gang and the Parker's .

Emma nodded and hummed in a way that indicated that she doesn't believe his excuse for skipping out on counseling . " Mm ! " . she hummed humouring him .

" she seemed used to you making excuses , you are not an easy patient , Huh ? " . Liz Forbes teased Alaric who grinned and replied unrepentantly , " never ! " .

As her eyes swept around the room , she noticed the knife in the tank and changed the subject , " is that the knife the dragon was chasing ? " . she asked curiously .

" wait I thought only Alaric , Henry , Landon and Rafael knew about the dragon ! " . Liv said with a hesitant blink of her eyes .

" You forgot about the librarian Dorian " . Elijah reminded her .

Liv nodded as her eyes lit with realization .

Alaric gave her a questioning look , clearly not expecting her to know about the incident , Emma returned the look with a mocking one of her own , " Dorian never miss his appointments " . she stated with a jabbing tone .

Alaric opened his Mouth to retort but hesitated before he spoke , not wanting to return to their topic of his need for therapy and not wanting to tell more people than necessary about what he is studying , after a moment of debate , Alaric decided to answer her honestly . " yes , and according to my translations if they are correct , whoever wields it has the power to save the world ... " . he said with a tired and exasperated sigh .

" yes of course " . Marcel laughed Darkly , surprising everyone but the interruption , " the last time I heard this sentence was one hundred and fifty years ago " .

Klaus clicked his finger's as he smirked , " with Kol and the talisman from Prague " .

Elijah glowered at his brother and previous ward and growled , " we nearly ended up with a plague and the plantation nearly crumbling over our heads " .

Everyone turned to look at the disgruntled Kol with bewildered and wary looks .

" . overcome with anger , she stopped herself mid-sentence and took a deep breath , trying to calm herself down , when she spoke again she sounded like she was a moment away from starting crying as she continued . Klaus laughed and reminded her , " you are part of his life too , Little wolf " . Hayley Huffed with an agitated expression that amused everyone .

Emma glanced between Lizzie and Alaric and shrugged at the latter , " she has a point ... " . she said sheepishly .

Alaric glared at her as he intoned exasperatedly , " Not helping " .

Lizzie now in tears stared back at her father and said firmly , " I'm not going back there " .

" you better not send her back out there man , or you will bill her out for attempt murder " . Damon joked with a snigger .

Alaric trying to calm down the situation , nodded in an appeasing manner , " okay , that's fine , um , why don't you go help the primary school kids out in the garden !? " .

Lizzie glared at her father for a moment before turning to Emma and retorting exhaustedly , " At least now you Know why I'm so screwed up ! " .

"That was harsh Lizzie ". Luke scolded his niece .

" if this is her inner thoughts , you will need all the help you can get , Ric " . Stefan said sympathetically .

Lizzie turned around and fled from the office in brisk step's , slamming the door again in her way out . Emma looked over at Alaric , who gave her a fakely sweet smile with the undertone of ' see what I have to deal with ' clearly seen in his expression .

The Garden :

Lizzie who was changed into a clean school uniform has just throw herself into one of the Garden stone seats , and sighed as she looked up at the sky , Pedro who saw her wandered over to speak with her , " aren't you supposed to help !? " . he demanded .

Lizzie sighed exhaustedly , and straightened up to speak with him , " consider this a life lesson, Pedro , people disappoint " . she said with a press of her lips .

" I would appreciate it if you don't share your hard earned wisdom with little kids , Lizzie " . Alaric reprimanded with a sigh .

" well , she does has a point , people and especially parents tend to disappoint " . Bonnie said sadly .

Caroline and Elena gave her sad , sympathetic looks and were lost for words to comfort her so they kept their silence .

A sound of grinding stone came from behind her , and Pedro's eyes widened in fear , " ... That statue just moved ! " . he stuttered .

" what !? ". Luke asked confusedly .

" oh my God , that's the gargoyle ! " . Carol screeched fearfully .

Hayley turned from the scene to the two stunned and horrified parents to the original beside her and asked worriedly , " why did he leave the knife and came here ? " .

" please , oh God please " . the women chanted in union some in Jo , liv and Elena's case with tears in their eyes .

Lizzie turned back toward Pedro only to be horrified as the Gargoyle took large jerky steps towards them with it's sword pointed directly at them , Lizzie grabbed Pedro by the hand and tugged him hurriedly toward her as she shouted at him fearfully , " Pedro , Run ! " .

" they will make it " . Hayley stated firmly , and it would have Been believable if not for the pallor of her face .

" they will " . Marcel affirmed helpfully before ruining his statement by mumbling audibly , " Hopefully both if them will and in one peace " . that earned him glares from all around .

The Gargoyle chased the two who made a run for the school entrance trying to escape , all the while Lizzie was running behind Pedro shielding him in case the gargoyle attacked them . " get inside , Pedro ! " . Lizzie ordered him urgently .

" you know for being a bitch she really is brave and kind " . Rebekah said with a smile , " it's good of her to Look after Pedro and protect him " .

" yeah , I guess " . Alaric replied blinking his eyes to center himself .

the two finally made it inside the entrance hall , where they stopped to catch their breath , Lizzie kneeled so that she was in Pedro's level and held out her hands , " I need you to give me your hands " .

Pedro does as he was told , and Lizzie's hands glowed red as she started siphoning magic from him . once she gotten what she needed , she let go of him and instructed him to go get help , " now go find my Dad , Go ! " .

" where am I ? ... please let me be near ! " . Alaric prayed fervently .

The gargoyle stomped into the entrance , snarling and Growling menacingly just as Pedro rushed away , Lizzie , who looked nervous , took several deep breath's as she centered herself and prepared to do anything to defend herself against the creature , the Gargoyle spread it's wing's and shrieked as Lizzie opened her arms and enchanted a spell , " imperium monstrum ! " .

" oh , oh " . Kol trilled with a smile .

Freya beamed at Lizzie and praised her , " smart girl , now a blasting spell will get you out of this situation " .

" wait , what spell did she use ? " . Caroline asked curiously .

" containment spell " . it was Elijah who answered her with a disapproving frown .

" Good girl " . Alaric praised his daughter before continuing frantically ," now be a filial daughter and run " .

Noticing the disapproving looks on Elijah's and Klaus faces , Marcel asked them curiously , " what got your pants in a twist !? " .

Davina nodded in amazement and Freya hummed , " How fascinating ! " .

Lizzie curled her arms in a circular motion as thought she was giving an invisible person a hug , only for the gargoyle to raise a clawed hand and lunged at her , causing her to scream in terror , " AHhhhhhhh ! " .

Jo screamed in Horror as did Elena , Caroline , Davina , Bonnie and Rebekah , Hayley jumped in her place , while Carol and Freya's Hands flow to their hearts , while the men blanched in worry and shock .

Salvatore Boarding school :

Entrance Hall :

Lizzie was lying unconscious in the floor of the entrance Hall , when Alaric rushed in calling out to her , " Lizzie ? " . he shouted worriedly .

" oh my God ! " . Elena cried out fretfully .

" please ... Please ! " . Jo begged hysterically as she kneeled by her daughter with Alaric and Luke who all tried to take a close look at the laying Lizzie .

Lizzie's eyes flow open , but she couldn't do anything but whimper in fear , unable to do anything as open her mouth to speak , when Alaric saw her , he wasted no time rushing to her and holding her , " Oh , my God , Lizzie ! " . he cried out in shock .

" what's wrong with her ? ... What the hell did he do to her ? " . Alaric Demanded from Ayana fretfully .

Ayana sighed and nodded for him to just watchigniting his fury , everyone else's kept their questions to themselves respecting the terrified parents grieve .

Terrified , Alaric started to whisper under his breath as he assessed her condition , " watch out , Lizzie , Baby , come here , what happened !? , what happened !? , can you ... ? " . he muttered frantically .

When Lizzie was enable to explain what happened to her , Alaric looked around for someone else to give him the information he needed he spotted Pedro and asked him worriedly , " she isn't moving , wh- why isn't she moving !? " .

" I can conclude that the Gargoyle strike had petrified her to a stone ... Or more likely is starting too " . Finn said with a sigh of pity .

That nearly sent Jo into hyperventilating but Thankfully she was assured by Kol , " it could be reserved easily , as long as she get help as soon as possible " .

That at least seemed to assuage Lizzie's parents a little as everyone returned to future Alaric urging him silently to hurry and get Lizzie the help she need .

Pedro who just brought him to the entrance Hall as Lizzie asked , looked as terrified as Lizzie and stuttered , " the statue hurt her " .

Alaric looked down at Lizzie and only then did he notice that the front of her shirt was slashed open , he gently moved the scraps of fabric away to reveal that she has three long , deep claw Gash's on her abdomen , which seemed to be turning grey and stone like in appearance .

" Bloody hell ! " . Rebekah breathed out .

" oh , God " . Hayley cried out , Elena gasped in horror .

" she really is turning to a stone ! " . Bonnie breathed out in disbelieve and disgust .

" will she turn to a gargoyle or will she die from petrification ? " . Davina asked curiously as she frowned sadly at Lizzie's state .

" I can't give you a definite answer " . Kol said with a shrug of his shoulders .

" what does that mean ! ... Answer the fucking question will she turn or not !? " . Damon snapped impatiently .

Kol eyes flashed red for a second before Returning back to their dark chocolate colour as he replied icily , " I mean that the origin of Gargoyle's and how they were came to be differ from one culture to the others , some say that they were once greedy , evil Witch's cursed by nature and turned to stone as punishment for their crimes , some say that they were guardians created by a coven to protect humans and humanity , etc ... , you see what I mean now you bloody imbecile " . Kol snapped .

Damon scowled but returned to observing his friend and his daughter worriedly , as The Mystic fall gang and the Mikaelson's turned to discuss the Gargoyle and Lizzie's condition in hushed murmurs .

Salvatore Boarding school / Mystic falls town square :

Emma had gathered Pedro and some of the younger student around Lizzie's body to keep an eye on her , meanwhile , Alaric has stepped out into the adjusting Hall to call Dorian , who was reading at one of the outside tables of the mystic Grill , for assistance , once he answered Alaric didn't waste time beating around the bush and demanded , " tell me what you know about Gargoyles " .

Dorian frowned and asked him incredulously , " Did you just say Gargoyle " .

Alaric , realizing that Dorian was not very knowledgeable about this particular legendary creature , gave him instructions on where to start , " okay , uh , search medieval French Folklore , for the legend of the Gargoyle petrotho , if I'm right he poisoned Lizzie with some sort of actual grayscale , she's paralyzed , what if it spread to her heart ? " . Alaric asked panicked out of his mind .

His words succeeded in starting another wave of panic on the observers as they were confirmed of how dire Lizzie's condition is .

" that is a good place to start , the tale of petrotho is one of the most detailed and well-known stories of gargoyle's " . Elijah Happily agreed with the course of action .

Even thought Alaric couldn't see him , Dorian was as concerned as his mentor and nodded in agreement , " I'm on it " . he promised .

Alaric and Dorian hanged up their respective phones , and Alaric looked inside the Room , to where Lizzie was lying being tended to by the younger students .

" please tell me that she will be saved ? " . A tearful Jo begged Ayana with a pleading look .

Ayana smiled at her and reassured her , " she will recover fully by the end of this ordeal " .

Alaric closed his eyes and let out a sigh of relive from the depth of his soul , and he relaxed a little as his worry was assuaged , Jo let out a happy sob as her shoulder's shoke and her face lit up with joy .

The other observers all had various expressions of relive and joy especially those closest or related to the two parents to be and the twins .

Mystic falls town square :

Henry was picking litter and disposing of it in the plastic Bag , when he noticed that Josie was already opening a new Bag to fill he smiled amusedly as he teased her , " You have future in waste management " .

" maybe I will enroll her in law school , she will definitely exceed at cleaning out politician lives " . Jo mused with a small smile .

Josie retorted in a matter of fact tone , " cleaning up messes is kind of my fate " . her reply spurred Henry on as he commented , " well , your sister is a kind of dumpster fire " , he stabbed a plastic cup and throw it in the Bag .

" ouch ! " . Marcel cried out , " harsh Henry , that was too harsh " .

" Henrik Mikaelson ! , How dare you !? " . Rebekah gasped out in mortification , while a look of horror had crossed over Elijah's face for a moment before he turned his head to look at his amusedly chuckling two younger brother with a deeper sense of Horror .

" your son is mean ! , how can he say that ? " . Jo gasped in offense as she glared at Klaus .

Alaric looked torn between being offense or smile at the two children interaction , but Elena and Damon had took it upon themselves to feel offended over themselves and Lizzie .

Josie stopped working and turned to look at him as she demanded with a beefed tone , " why do you always pick fight's ? " .

Her words drew Henry Back , he too stopped working and turned toward her waiting for her to elaborate , she did , " we have known each other for a decade and anytime you have a chance you poke " . she she finished with a stab of to a plastic warper in the ground .

" aw , that's cute ! " . Rebekah gushed Happily , her shift in opinion and emotions gave everyone a whiplash . especially , Elena who frowned and asked her sarcastically , " what's cute about your nephew poking the two poor girls ? " .

Rebekah gave her a deadpanned look like she can't believe she even asked and was waiting for her to explain , when everyone looked at her clearly wanting her to explain , Rebekah rolled her eyes and sighed at their limited intelligence and did just that with a sage expression , " little boys had the tendencies to poke at and pull girls hair's when they like them , believe me I would know that ! " .

A look of downed realization fell in every female face present , before mischievous and amused giggles and smiles lit their faces , a look of worry fleeted over Alaric face who turned to glare at the silent Hybrid .

A smile of mischievous played on Ayana's lips as she warned her foster daughter playfully , " oh my , then you better prepare yourself dear Bekah , Henry does have a thing for pulling hair , especially yours and Freya's , even then he loved his mother too much to pull on her hair hard " .

At this words Rebekah's jaw dropped and Freya looked taken back , while everyone Brusted out laughing especially Kol who took great amusement at his sister shocked expression .

Henry turned away with a perplexed expression as he twisted his lower lip in a bribe mocking gesture and shot back reminding her , " you do your fair share of poking too " . he put away another cup in the bag .

Sound of loud , happy squealing filled the air , as Rebekah , Jo Elena , Caroline , Bonnie , Davina and Olivia expressed their joy and mirth .

The Gargoyle trailed off just a few inches off Alaric heart , unsure as he tilted his head in confusion , shocked to be spared , Alaric gasped and took a step back , just in time as a step inside blue shield sparked between the two , leaving the hesitant Gargoyle standing a few inches infront of the pale looking Alaric , the two tracked back to the source of the shield to see Henry on his Knee with his hand raised up in the air he too was gasping , obviously having put up the shield as last second defense that Alaric was lucky to be caught on .

" thank God ! , oh ... Thank you ... Thank you " . Elena cried out tearfully .

" the monster it hesitated ! , why did it stop ? " . Stefan inquired from the other's .

Everyone shared confused and interested expression , burning to find out .

Another round of loud cheers broke out as finally they were rid of the worrisome creature .

Dana was sitting in the driving seat of her , her friend Sasha was sitting on the passenger seat beside her and the two were listening to TV on the radio , while waiting near the edge of Salvatore's Boarding school property , the two were obviously waiting waiting for someone . " he said he will be here soon " . Sasha said to the impatient Dana .

Dana huffed irritatedly and retorted , " ' soon ' , was an hour ago " .

" why are this two here ? , and at such a late a hour ? " . Liz asked confusedly .

" whatever the reason , they are definitely malicious ! " . Damon stated with a frown .

Dana gestured toward the school gates and continued , " the Salvatore school isn't going to deface itself , call conner and tell him to get his ass here with the spray paint " .

" ugh , there is no Hope for this three " . Caroline shouted angrily . " I will make sure that they are taught a lesson " .

" and come off as needy , no thanks " . Sasha scoffed .

Sasha sighed and pulled her phone out reluctantly , only to frown at the screen , " I don't have any service " . she told her friend .

Dana checked her phone only to find that , her battery is low she held her phone up as proof , " I'm on , like two percent " . Dana returned with a sigh .

" I got a bad feeling " . Davina said with a frown , " like something awful is gonna happen " .

" me too ! " . liv and Bonnie breathed out warily .

" I feel like I'm watching the opening of a horror movie ! " . Matt whispered to Tyler and Jeremy who both nodded in agreement .

Sasha sighed and exited the car to wander around in search of a phone service , and Dana who stayed in the car zoned out for a moment , only for the sound of Sasha screaming to crash her back to reality , she immediately lowered the volume of the radio and lowered the window to stick her head out and called out to her friend , " Sasha , what are you doing ? " .

" what's happening ? " Marcel said with a curious frown .

" I'm sure that either one of our students are taking Revenge or ... " . Alaric started before trailing off and continuing hesitantly , " the next monster is attacking its first victim " .

His word brought wariness and fear to everyone .

When no answer came , Dana angry expression turned scared but she continued to shout in fake bravado , " Sasha , if you and conner are boning in the wood , I'm going to kill you " . she threatened .

Dana heared the sound of rustling from a nearby bush and got scared , she started to hyperventilate and hurried to roll up her window and tried to see if Sasha was anywhere near , she suddenly jerked when something heavy fell on the roof of her car and made a large dent on its ceiling , her hands flow to the steering wheel and she looked like she was a second away from speeding away , when her eyes fell on something in the wood and she broke out in a terrified scream , just as the sound of snarling filled the air , " Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh " .

" I think whatever making this noises and attacking this two girls is our next monster " . Marcel said warily .

I just returned from the Hospital , God medical school is hell on earth , I'm dying here , I didn't even get to read this damn things and I'm posting it as it's , I may come back and rewrite it another time , anyway I'm not ready for a third meltdown . no chapter ever given me so much trouble . that aside I'm facing writer block , and it's not for lack of words or plot but ... I just found out that some author is plagiarizing my stories without even referring my name or my permission .

Anyway the next chapter won't be until the end of the month as I need to watch the episode and write it myself , I deserve reviews for my efforts alone . I will post the next chapter of the hallow moon reraising as soon as I'm finished with it , which depending on my my writing block .
