A new recruit has been brought into Team Rainbow and is regarded as one of the best PMC operatives Six has recruited to the team. However, aside from his combat skills, he is rather reclusive. What goes on among the members of Team Rainbow could very well be affected by the latest recruit, and that recruit is Aiden Mitchell.

16. 2 Years Later: Update Hello Again

Hi all.

As a forewarning, don't get your hopes up upon seeing there's been a recent update or sudden new chapter to add to this story as this is more just a personal update after being off the grid on this site for more than a couple years by this point, possibly going on three for all I know.

As of this post, I'm mainly just taking the time to check back and offer thanks to those who still come back and read this from time to time in its forever incomplete state. Recently, I was in talks with a friend and was reminiscing on the old days when I used to actively write material for this fanfic and wanted to take a trip down memory lane and check my old writing. It's crazy to think that it's been four years since this work was first posted and two years since I posted my last update in regards to the current status of The Storm of Life.

As of late, I'm actively writing again though on a different platform nowadays (AO3) and if anyone is interested in keeping up with my works again, I'm on there as TheLoneMercenary with works under Final Fantasy 14 and most recently, Genshin Impact, which is going to be my next long-term project. I've been pretty content posting on there nowadays but I want you all to know that I never forget you lot and the appreciation, support, constructive criticism, and enthusiasm you all had when this story was red hot. I've been toying with the idea of maybe doing a one-shot work as maybe some sort of "After Years" scenario to show where all the pairings I had/had planned have wound up but it's currently up in the air.

In any case, offering thanks once again to those who keep coming back to read The Storm of Life on here. God knows that it gave me some nostalgia re-reading some of the chapters on here (and also a bit of cringe but it has been some years lol), but yeah. If you guys want to keep up with me once more, again, I'm on AO3 nowadays with the same username.
