Flashback: Just after Lily confronted Anna
"Your back," James said surprised as his wife reappeared half an hour later.
"I told you I would be back didn't I?" Lily said
"Well yes you did" James muttered
"I'm just going to cut to the chase James" Lily instructed "I'm pregnant"
"What?" James said, "You cheated on me?" he yelled "You were so mad when I told you about Anna and you've been stepping out on me as well who with?" he demanded
"No one," Lily said "It's our baby, you and I love" she smiled
"That's not possible we haven't been intimate in months- "James said before he was cut off
"Because you've been busy screwing that side whore Anna" Lily finished "But still it's your baby" James looked confessed "Maybe this will explain" she smiled as she handed him a piece of parchment. James's face paled as he read the letter.
Dear Mr. Potter
My name is Lisa McCoy I work at London wizarding memorial and we recently took over the fertility clinic that housed your original sperm sample that was used to make your embryos. The clinic was a complete disaster and we have just not finished sorting through all of their mistakes
Your original sperm sample was split into six five were used for embryos. One was misplaced and we just found it now. We are so embarrassed. If you wish we are happy to continue to store it free of charge. If not just come and see us.

"Lily this is a violation" James screamed
"Keep it down Henry is an upstairs idiot" Lily growled
"Fine" James snarked as he cast a privacy spell "How far along are you?"
"Just past the two-month mark," Lily told him
"That's further along than" James started quietly
"Yeah I know," Lily said understanding what he was thinking "What are we doing about Anna?" Lily asked
"We?" he inquired confused
"Yes we James we're married with a son and another child on the way" Lily stated "Don't we owe it to Henry to try and make things work, you know what growing up between two households affected Alice it didn't matter how close of friends the four of her parents are" she reminded "And I'm not giving up our marriage our over nearly a decade if not a decade long relationship just because some squib slut thinks she can break up our marriage because I'm not going down without a fight"
She loved James that much was true, and she wasn't going to risk losing custody of her son. She would do whatever she needed to do to guarantee her marriage stayed together and she would do whatever she could to avoid a scandal.
"You're going to write to Anna" Lily demanded "And tell her things are over"
"What about-?" James began
"If you want the babies we will raise them alongside Henry and our new baby" Lily informed him "If anyone asks we will tell them we used another surrogate before finding out that I am pregnant, Anna wouldn't dare oppose you I mean unless she wanted to get out that she's a slag and a home wrecker besides we are the parents to the Boy who Lived and if we needed Dumbledore one of the greatest wizards of all times would surely back us up"
"Lily I- "
"They would be heirs to the house of Potter whether or not I like it in time I'm sure I learn to love them" she smiled sweetly not meaning what she was saying "Surely we owe it to Henry to try and work things outright?"
"I guess" James gave in
"Good now here's what you're going to write" She instructed telling him what to write as he scribbled every last word onto the first letter that read.
Dear Darling Anna
I have to inform you that this is it I have to try and make things work with Lily she is my wife.
I love her deeply. I have always loved her.
As lord of the house Nobel and ancient house of Potter, my children are heirs. Meaning that I shall raise them along with my wife. If you do not relinquish custody of the triplets I will take you to court and as the father of the Boy Who Lived Lily says we are guaranteed to win.
They will know Lily as their mother, and you will have no contact with them.

"Well, I think I figured out why James stayed with Lily," Frank said suddenly
"What?" Alice asked holding her six days old sons "Really?"
"Yeah this was printed in the daily prophet," Frank said handing her over the latest copy of the daily prophet
Boy Who Lived to be a Big brother!
Dear readers, it has come to our attention that Lady Lillian Marie Evans Potter {27} and Jameson Fleamont Potter head of the house of Potter {27} are expecting a new baby! That's right everyone the Boy Who Lived is going to have a brand new baby brother or sister. Lily Evans Potter announced that she is currently 16 weeks pregnant.
We here at the daily prophet are wishing the Potter the best of luck this time around. This is the second farthest Mrs. Potter has made into a pregnancy. Lily Potter has suffered ten miscarriages over her ten-year-long relationship with her husband James Potter seven occurring between July 1978 and November 1979 and the last three within the past four years. Mrs. Potter has yet to give birth to any baby. She's married to an important pureblood from a Nobel family, and she wasn't even able to unlike so many other wives of Pureblood Lords provide him an heir.
According to medical information obtained Mrs. Potters first seven miscarriages occurred July 23rd, 1978 three weeks along with a baby unknown, Mrs. Potter hadn't even known she was pregnant until she had her miscarriage, September 30th, 1978 six weeks along with a baby girl, December 15th, 1978 seven weeks along with another girl, February 26th, 1979 seven weeks along with a baby boy, June 6th, 1979 eight weeks along with another baby girl, August 30th, 1979 four weeks along and as with the first pregnancy she hadn't even known she was pregnant until she lost the baby of unknown gender, November 18th, 1979 nine weeks along with the baby boy.
Her most recent miscarriages occurred March 5th, 1983 fourteen weeks along originally with triplets two girls and one boy but one of the girls was absorbed by the baby boy at around ten weeks then she miscarried four weeks later, May 17th, 1974 thirteen weeks along with a baby boy and her most recent loss was the farthest along she has ever made it in a pregnancy she was 20 weeks along with twins a boy and a girl ending in stillbirths.
Of course, Mrs. Potter isn't the only one who has had trouble having children there are several other cases like Mrs. Potters for example Marianne Fortescue nee lee the late wife of Florean Fortescue who died in childbirth suffered ten miscarriages one consisting of twins by the age twenty-six before she gave birth to her first living child and six miscarriages two consisting of twins between the births of her six children from 1955-1959 and Marianne's daughter Juliet Fortescue {30} who over the past thirteen years has suffered 14 miscarriage the first being when she was 17 just a few months after her only stepsister Alice 14 at the time of the miscarriage welcome twins at age 13 just a month before her 14th birthday and the latest a few weeks ago. Both Juliet and Marianne's cases were looked after by Eloise Prewett Fortescue the second wife of Florean Fortescue and the Stepmother of Juliet, she was off and on girlfriend of Florean's and a close friend who dealt with Marianne's five successful pregnancies.
Eloise is a very experienced Midwife and healer who has seen cases like this before and is believed to be wanted to handle Mrs. Potter's case the only question is will she accept as she is the mother to Alice Longbottom and Lily and Alice seemed to have a falling out two years ago. Rumors have it that the Potters are departed to get Eloise on their case as Lily has never had a successful pregnancy.
Now you might be thinking how Mrs. Potter could have never given birth when she has seven-year-old triplets Henry, Harriet, and Harry. This reporter did some digging and discovered that The Potters used a surrogate. Lady Alyssa "Alice" Longbottom nee Prewett Griffiths Fortescue {27} Lily Potter's former best friend and Harriet, Henry, and Harry's Godmother.
Although Harriet and Harry haven't been seen in the past two years the last time we saw them was at the triplet's fifth birthday party. Harriet and Harry reportingly spent a lot a time at the Longbottom's home with Lady Longbottom, her husband Lord Francis "Frank" Longbottom of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Longbottom, Deputy Head of Magical Law Enforcement, and his parents the Patriarch and Matriarch former Lord Longbottom Elroy Longbottom {68} and his wife Augusta Longbottom nee Fawley {64} as Sirius Black the triplets godfather is always with the other three Potters at all times.
Lady Longbottom volunteered to be the Potter's Surrogate in January 1980 apparently saying to the couple "That she was perfectly content with how her family was and she would be honored and thrilled to help them start a family." She was implanted with five embryos and three of the stuck then on July 31st Alice gave birth to the Potter's triplets. During her surrogacy, Mrs. Longbottom managed to get pregnant with her own biological child by experiencing superfetation which is when a second new pregnancy occurs during an initial pregnancy.
The Potters are asking for the public to respect their privacy during Lily's pregnancy as Mrs. Potter will be under twenty-four-hour surveillance by a midwife to try and guarantee everything goes smoothly this time around. We here at the daily prophet give our best wishes to the Potters and really hope that Healer Eloise Prewett Fortescue will take the case. On another note, where in the world are Harry and Harriet Potter, and why haven't they been seen for the past two years?

"Well, that explains why he left Anna" Alice signed "He couldn't leave Lily not why she was pregnant even if that was at the expense of Anna and their triplets" Alice actually felt sort of sorry for James stuck between the obligation to Lily his now pregnant wife who he had loss thirteen children within the course of ten pregnancies and his son Henry or Anna the women he loved who was caring his triplets. Alice didn't know what she would do if she was in his unfortunate situation. Though she would never find herself in that situation as one she's a female she can't impregnate anyone two she loves Frank and doesn't think she would ever stop loving him and three she knows what its like to be cheated on and would never cheat on Frank she would like a logical person either have couples therapy scheduled more frequently to help sort out their problems or tell him.
"Yeah" Frank nodded everything began to make sense Lily must have told him she was pregnant when he returned back to Potter manor to tell her about his affair. "
"It makes sense everything is so clear now" Alice nodded agreeing with her husband pausing looking like she was lost in thought for a moment.
"What is it Lessie? What's worrying you?" He asked
"They noticed that Elijah and Genevieve are gone" she sighed "I know that it was bound to happen eventually but- "
"Ali" He cut her off "The Potters abandoned them in an orphanage giving up their parental rights they were with us for two years Har- Elijah could have been claimed back within those two years and Vivi could have been claimed back within the first year but they didn't they lost all rights to them"
"Bu- "
"No we did everything legally and right we waited two years and then we adopted them, blood adopted them the Potters have no claim to them even if we hadn't blood adopted them they are OUR children, not the Potter and there is no way that if they were even stupid enough to try and take them away from us they would win they have no right to them and even if they had dumbledore backing them up we have your family, my family, The Malfoys, the Lovegood's, the Blacks and other friends many also powerful purebloods that don't really like the Potters and just put up with them that would surely back us up" Frank continued
"Your right your always right" she teased her husband rolling her eyes
"Well, I wouldn't say I'm always right, but I usually am" Frank winked Alice laughed understanding what her husband was saying
"Henry" she murmured suddenly "How do you think Henry is?"
"I don't know Ali" we have no way of knowing but James and Lily wouldn't never hurt their golden child" he assured her
"Do you think my mum is home?" she asked suddenly
"Well, it's nine in the morning on a Tuesday so probably she doesn't start work till ten why?" he asked suspiciously "What are you thinking?"
"Nothing nothing" she smiled "I just need to see her"
"Ok," he said
"Do you want me to bring the kids with me or- "she began
"Al I'll be fine alone with them" he assured her
"I know" she stated, "But I'm bringing Eir and Aeson I'm sure mama would like to see her newest grand twins again."
"That fine" he stopped before quickly resuming "You might also want to bring Ruby with you"
"Yeah your right" she nodded "Thanks love I'll be quick" she kissed him quickly before climbing out of bed "I love you"
"Love you too darling" he smiled
Prewett Griffiths Manor
"Mama" Alice called out
"In here darling" she heard Eloise respond
"Mama" she smiled
"What are you doing here?" Eloise asked, "Oh there's my grand twins" she smiled spotting the twins "Ruby what a lovely surprise!"
"Grandma!" Ruby exclaimed running to her
"Hello love" Eloise picked her up "Now what are you doing here?"
"How's Julie?" she asked
"She's dealing" Eloise assured her daughter "I would just give her some distance having a family came really easily for you and it must have been difficult watching you have the twins I know her Mother Marianne struggled watching your father grow his family while she and Florean had problems"
"Mum I need to ask you something," she said bluntly
"Anything Hun," Eloise said putting Ruby down who went back to her mother's side immediately and went to hold on of the twins. Alice knew her mother missed having babies in the house.
"I read the Daily Prophet rumors have it the Potters want you to overlook Lily's pregnancy you are the best in your field, and you have experience in situations like Lily's, so I was wondering if whether or not the rumors were true?" Alice asked her mother
"Yes the Potters want me to overlook Lily's case through the years of friendship with you they know about my experience with cases like there, for example, Marianne" Eloise confirmed "Why?"
"Do you know if you're going to do it or not?" Alice questioned
"I'm not sure I actually wanted to ask you if you would be ok with it given your history with Potters and what they did" Eloise mentioned not even wanting to think about the things they did "I have an experience like you said and they have loss thirteen children over ten tries- "
"And you know what it is like to lose a baby" she stated finishing her mother thought
"Yes I do, besides it pays well so would you be ok with me taking the job?" Eloise asked she wanted her daughter's thoughts to know she was ok with it she didn't want to jeopardize her relationship with her daughter.
She and her daughter didn't have the best relationship for the first thirteen years of Alice's life not until her first pregnancy. Although she wasn't exactly a fan of her daughter's situation it did bring them together and she was thankful for that. She admitted that she neglected Alice for those first thirteen years focusing more on being a good stepmother and mother to hers and Florean's kids at the expense of Alice and Andrew even forgetting Alice's birthday two years in a row thinking back she didn't even know how that happened as she mourned them for the first eighteen years of there life never forgetting but still managed to forget their triplet birthday.
Alice was and still is the black sheep of the family an outcast. On Alfred and Elenor she had fourteen paternal brothers and thanks to her and Alfred's drunken foolishness she had three full brothers and through her and her marriage to Florean Alice had six step-siblings and eleven maternal half-siblings. On her side, Alice, Andrew, Scott, and Steve are the only children who don't have Florean as their biological father and on Alfred's side, she's the only girl.
It was no wonder to her now that Alice had felt isolated got her wondering if Alice's pregnancy with the twins and being physical with Frank back then was really unplanned or an out of rebellion. Alice's behavior made sense the piercings she had done on her ear, eyebrow, and nose, the using her metamorphmagus abilities to change her hair outrages colors like neon blue, seeming's as she doesn't need hair dye and the dark gothic makeup were all cries for her mother's attention. It made sense to her how Alice tried to split her time between her kids equally not wanting any of them to feel left out and out of place just like she did.
"So are you ok with it," she asked again
"On one condition" Alice smirked
"Name it love" Eloise smiled
"I need you to do me a favor." She stated "It's important to me"
"Ok what's this favor?" she asked
Alice explained everything to her.
"Of course, I'm sure I can get the Potters to agree to that darling" Eloise nodded "I am by far the best in my specialty and if they really want me to help them I'm sure they will be persuaded"
"Thanks, Mama," Alice said she was hopeful. She really needed her mother could get the Potters to agree.
