Chapter 26
Potter Manor
James Potter's Study
"James, Alice just owled they'll be here shortly" Lily called out
"Ok who's coming," James asked
"Alice, Frank, and their children the ones that aren't at Hogwarts right now," Lily said
"Ok" James smiled worryingly. He was nervous to see them again he hadn't seen them since Anna told him she was pregnant and he, in turn, told her he was going to tell Lily about their affair which to be fair he did tell Lily he just failed to return to Longbottom Manor back to Anna. But it wasn't his fault Lily was pregnant that was her fault and hers alone. Hopefully, Alice would give him a chance to explain himself before she lashed out at him for what he did to Anna, his darling Annalise. "But I thought it was just Alice coming," he asked
"Well yes but I invited her children to hang out with Henry and I thought it might be nice for you to spend time with Frank," Lily said
"Oh, that nice" he tried to keep his voice as neutral as possible. He would actually have to spend time with Frank quite possibly time alone with him. What if he said something stupid or offensive he knew how protective and defensive Frank is when it come to his family especially Alice his wife. Those two have been together for fifteen years if not more and spent the majority of that time very happy besides for that one instance. Maybe if anyone could understand what he was going through it would be Frank.
"Right, they'll be here very shortly" Lily reminded
"Do you mind if I invite Sirius over as well?" James asked
"I guess that wouldn't hurt" Lily sighed
"Ok I'll write him," James said
Just as James sat down at his desk a snowy grey owl flew down and dropped a piece of parchment with the St Mungo's seal.
"Lily I think the list from Mrs. Fortescue arrived" James bellowed
"Really," Lily asked entering the study
"Yes" James confirmed
"What does it say?" she asked
"Let's find out shall we dear," he said saying the last part bitterly
Dear Mr. and Mrs Potter
After some extensive talk with my colleagues and friends, I have compiled a list of Healers who I think would be perfect to assist me with Mrs. Potters Medical condition. The team I have complied are Healers Richard and Alexandra Brown, Juliet Fortescue, and Zander Persellian. They are all extremely qualified and skilled and Richard and Alexandra both also have experience in cases of extreme numbers of Miscarriages.
The people who will be as we agreed that the healers on your case shouldn't be separated from their families are:
Richard thirty-seven years old and Alexandra thirty-three years old is married with three children Kyle three years old, Miranda five years old, and Lavender seven years old. Alexandra is also currently pregnant with her fourth child she's twelve weeks along so you have someone who can relate to you.
Juliet Fortescue is thirty, along with her two roommates Sean thirty-three, and Julian thirty. Sean and his brother are extremely close and wouldn't be able to deal with not being able to see Juliet or each other whenever they want. In Julian's case even though Juliet is dealing with her recent loss, Julian is her emotional support, and you know how important having support is in tragic situations like Juliet's.
Zander Persellian twenty-eight, his wife Georgina twenty-nine and their five children, Margret age nine, Magdalena age seven, Maria six years old, Magnolia four years old, and Micah two year old.
Eloise Prewett Fortescue 58 years old, My husband Florean Fortescue also fifty-eight years old, and my eighteen-year-old daughter Theresa who recently graduated from Hogwarts.

Healer Eloise Prewett Fortescue
Lily laughed out loud for a moment before regaining control over herself
"What's so funny?" James asked curiously shocked to see his wife laugh without a care in the world
"Oh, nothing I just forgot how close in age Theresa and Hyacinth and Elliott are there what around two to three years between them it just hit me that Theresa for two years at least Elliott and Hyacinth went to Hogwarts with their some of their aunts and uncles including Rhys and Theresa and Theresa went to Hogwarts with some of her nieces and nephews its sort of funny going to Hogwarts with your aunt." Lily explained "It just never hit me how close in age they are"
"I never realized that their Hogwarts years overlapped," James said
"I know," Lily said "Are you going to write to Sirius," she asked "I mean the Longbottom's will be here shortly and if Sirius is going to come you might want to give him as much notice as possible"
"Right, I have to write to Sirius," James said pulling out a piece of parchment and quill from his desk drawer and began writing.

Lily invited wait for it Alice over to catch up and possibly fix their friendship. Shocking right? Anyway, Lily also invited Frank and Alice's children over, I think Lily wants Henry to have some decent company that's not interested in his fame.
But that's not why I am writing you I want to invite you over to join us, Frank, is also coming and well I don't want to be alone with him that guy intimidates me he is six foot nine, well built, athletic and a former Auror who I have recently pissed. So, as you can understand I would rather not be alone with him.
So, if you could please join us they'll be arriving shortly

Sirius Black's Apartment
Sirius Black was sat down in the kitchen reading the daily prophet reading the latest issue The Boy Who Lived to be a big brother. Why hadn't James told him about Lily being pregnant? James had told him about Anna and his affair, about Anna being pregnant and he knew about Lily's previous pregnancies and how they ended in tragedy so why wouldn't James tell him about Lily and him conceiving again he knew James wanted more kids especially after he lost Harry and Harriet. So why did he have to find out about his best friend possibly being a dad again through the daily prophet? They were brothers in everything besides blood.
He knew Lily's latest pregnancy was high risk and Eloise Prewett Fortescue may be in charge of making sure Lily's pregnancy goes smoothly so he wondered if she would agree or not one hand Eloise was extremely experienced and Eloise herself had suffered a miscarriage and had a daughter Juliet who like Lily suffered constant miscarriages never once achieving a successful pregnancy so she could understand Lily's pain and on the other hand Eloise was Alice's mum and Alice and Lily were not really on good terms the two of them hadn't spoken in over two years and he knew how protective she was of her daughter and their relationship not wanting to do anything to jeopardize their relationship. Eloise had to work hard to rebuild her relationship with Alice so he knew if Alice was even the slightest bit uncomfortable with it there would be no way she would do it and he also knew that instead of taking care of Lily Eloise could be looking for the root of Juliet's fertility issues.
A letter was dropped on the kitchen table with the Potter seal it was probably from James if he was writing to inform him about Lily's pregnancy he was too late. Sirius opened the letter and read it.

When Sirius read the letter, he thought of a few things. One Alice was coming over to catch and there was a small chance that Lily and Alice could rekindle their friendship. That was strange and James was right that was shocking. It made sense that Lily would also invite over Alice's children he knew that Henry didn't have that many friends, well friends and their families that were not using him for fame.
He was interested to know that Frank was also coming he knew that things between them were also not the best not after Frank found out about the horrible things James had said to Alice over the years and how James treated Anna abandoning her pregnant and trying to at Lily's request take custody away from Anna. He understood being intimated by Frank just looking at the guy.
It made sense that James would want him there to make sure things didn't get out of hand, as a buffer. But he was mad at James but then again he could use this to his advantage.
Sirius grabbed a piece of parchment and wrote back
To Prongs
I guess I could come. But we will be having words I your best friend in the world and your brother how couldn't you tell me you and Lily were expecting. I had to find out through the Daily Prophet for god sake!
But sure, I'll come I guess it will be nice to see Alice and Frank again, and maybe if things work out they could help get me in contact with Moony. I miss him, don't you. I've tried several times in the last two years to get back in contact with him, but I've never gotten a response. So Maybe Alice and Frank can talk to him see if they can convince him to meet up with me.
You know you miss Moony maybe we can get the Marauders back together

"Sirius wrote back," James said
"Really," Lily said
"Yeah he said he'll come," James said "Although he mad that he had to find out about your pregnancy from the Daily Prophet"
"What do you mean he had to find out about my pregnancy through the Daily Prophet," Lily asked looking confused
"Well, I didn't tell him," James said
"Why wouldn't you tell him he is going to be the baby's godfather isn't he?" She asked
"Well yeah but- "he started
"But what I'm sixteen weeks along and the healers said the stillbirth was just bad luck" She set him off "Sirius is your brother in everything but the blood he should not have found out about being an uncle again through the Daily Prophet he found out through a newspaper article!" she exclaimed "Also how did the Daily Prophet find out about my miscarriages and Alice being our surrogate, they even knew about how far along I was and the babies genders exist for the ones that we didn't even know the sex of the two babies. How could they possibly know all about our losses we concealed them from practically everyone." She spoke
"I know maybe they somehow got a hold of your medical records and maybe you were seen at the fertility clinic and they somehow found out and got their hands on the records." James said "The journalist at the Daily Prophet can be ruthless think about Rita Skeeter"
"But they knew about what Alice said about wanting to help us start our own family and being perfectly content with her own family, Alex McCoy knew about Alice experiencing superfetation," Lily said "Like how he would know exactly what Alice said "
"Don't know Lily" James said "But journalists have no respect for privacy especially people like us in the spotlight like us"
"Yeah your right as soon as Henry was rightfully declared the Boy Who Lived, having been the only known person to survive the killing curse and us being spared by Voldemort ourselves it makes sense that we are in the spotlight" Lily agreed
Longbottom Manor
Bedroom of Alice and Frank Longbottom
"Hey Hun, you ready?" Frank called out
"Yeah I am ready," Alice said coming out of the bathroom wearing one of Frank's sweaters the blue one, and a skirt that went down just above her knees. She avoided tight clothing she was only six days postpartum and tight clothing made her extremely uncomfortable.
"Ok let's go check on the kids" Frank suggested
Hey, it's a letter from Lily "Alice exclaimed seeing the snowy grey owl known as Snowbles
"What does it say" Frank questioned
Dear Alice
Just wanted to let you know so there are no surprises that Sirius will be joining us for brunch. James wrote Sirius asking him to come over I think he is intimated by Frank and nervous at the idea of possibly being left alone with him.
I guess it sort of makes sense about James being intimated by Frank's looks your husband is tall with wide shoulders, he has a strong body and is a great duellist. But your husband is a kind man unless you piss him of, but Frank has no reason to be angry with James right.
On another note, Sirius is hoping that if this goes well you could possibly help him get in contact with Remus. He really seems to miss him and wants to meet up. Sirius has expressed that he has tried several times over the past two years to try and get Remus to meet up with him but Remus has not responded to a single letter completely ignoring them but that doesn't sound like Remus maybe he just has not got the letters right?
Yeah so anyway just wanted to let you know. Do you think that's a possibility though seeing Remus again do you think he would be open to the idea?

Frank laughed "What?" Alice questioned
"I highly doubt that Remus would even be open to the possibility of meeting up with either the Potters or Sirius especially after how they left things" Frank pointed out
"Yeah, they really didn't end their friendship on the best of terms, did they? He was just as mad as I was about the whole fiasco maybe even angrier than I was" Alice agreed
"Close second" Frank decided "He was a close second possibly tied with my mother she did not seem happy"
"There is no way Remus would be open to the idea of meeting up with the" Alice decided
"Yep I mean I was hesitant only agreeing to come because you're going and the reason you actually decided to try a contact Lily was that you are concerned for Henry's wellbeing" Frank added "It would take a lot of convincing to get Remus to agree and one of the only ways Remus might actually decide to meet up with either the Potters or Sirius would be as a favor to you"
"Yeah" She nodded
"Though Lily is wrong I definitely have reasons to be pissed of at James," Frank said changing the subject
"Yeah you do Baby" she smiled "Try not to injure James love I want things to go well I do miss Lily it's hard not to with our history but mostly I want to make sure my godson is happy he doesn't look like it in The Daily Prophet honestly as each issue comes out featuring something or other about the Boy Who Lived in every picture he looks unhappier in each of the pictures that comes out"
"He does and I promise that I won't seriously injure James" Frank agreed
"Frank" Alice scolded
"What" he smirked
"I want things to go well so you have to be on your best behavior control your temper," Alice said "So please do not cause James any kind of harm"
"Fine I'll be on my best behavior" he sighed Pulling his wife in for a kiss "Control my temper?" he questioned raising an eyebrow
"Well- "she tried
"Watch my temper look who's talking the quick-tempered redhead with anger issues, you tend to lash out I mean remember what happen when Lily told you that she and James sent Genny and Eli to an orphanage, you did not take that well immediately had a go at her I mean she deserved it but still" Frank cut her off
"Hey if you are going to call me a quick temper redhead with anger issue at least put the words hot or incredibly attractive in front of it" Alice smiled giving her husband a quick wink
"My apologies Mrs. Longbottom" He teased. He was the only person she was ok with calling her that she hated whenever someone else called her Mrs Longbottom.
"I guess your forgiven Mr Longbottom" she smirked pulling her handsome husband in for a feverish kiss
