Chapter 10: Pterano's punishment

Topps was very angry that Littlefoot and Chomper and the Rainbow Faces were right from the start the moment the gang had shown the herd that The Stone Of Cold Fire was magic. But, the gang desided that they didn't really need magic and most of the grown-ups agreed with them. They gave the stone to Mama Flyer and had her hide it in a safe place in The Secret Caverns inside The Great Wall in which the gang asked not to know where it will be.

After the stone was delt with and when The Bright Circle was close to leaving the sky, everyone gathered up at Council Rock to discuss Pterano's punishment.

"Quite frankly Pterano, your behaver has been inecussible." Said Grandpa.

"But," Said Bowser. "In light of the fact that you did help save the children, your punishment will be reduced."

"It will?" Pterano asked.

"Yes." Bowser said again. "We've disided for you not to be welcome foot or wing anywhere in The Great Valley. Therefor, you will be banished to The Mysterious Beyond. Until five cold times have passed."

"Five cold times?" Petrie asked. "But that very long time."

"Yes." Said Topps. "And some of us think it should be a lot longer."

"Oh please." Pterano said to them. "Non of the other Far-walkers want anything to do with me. I'll be alone and defenseless in The Mysterious Beyond. Is that really fare?"

"YES!" The herd shouted.

"Let him stay. He very sorry." Said Petrie.

"He may be." Said Mama Flyer. "But it doesn't change what he did and he must be responsible for that."

"But,"

"Petrie. She's right?" Pterano cut him off. "We all must be responsible for our actions. I'll be fine. After those five cold times pass, I'll return to the herd and prove I can be trust worthy without having to be a leader. I know there's much I can prove if given the chance."

Petrie was now upset that he wasn't going to see Pterano for five cold times.

"Good-bye Uncle." He said.

"Good-bye to you too Petrie. And good-bye to the rest of you. I'll miss you all." Pterano said as he took off before turning to Topps. "But of course, there are some others that I shall not at all!"

And then, he was gone.

"I still can't believe you guys were right about that flying-rock." Said Cera.

"It's alright Cera." Littlefoot said to her. "Even though it was magic, we've never needed magic in the first place."

"Yeah. Magic isn't out style." Said Chomper.

"True. What we need with magic when we got each other?" Petrie asked.

"Look. The Far-walkers are leaving." Said Ruby. "Let's watch them go."

As The Night Circle had shown up in the sky, Littlefoot and Chomper ran to the hill where they first saw the Far-walkers show up. And once there, they saw Hank and Linda.

"Quite a sight isn't it?" Hank asked.

"It is." Said Chomper. "Are you leaving too?"

"Any time now." Said Linda.

"I guess you were able to help us was because you have powers from The Stone Of Cold Fire." Said Littlefoot.

Linda looked at him before saying, "How was it magic? I thought it wasn't."

"It was magic." Said Chomper. "How else were we able to show it to the grown-ups?"

"I guess the wrong stone had been sent here." Said Hank.

"What are you," Littlefoot tried to ask.

"It's best that you don't know." Hank quickly said to him.

"As much as I hate to say it, we do have powers from The Stone Of Cold Fire." Linda said sadly.

"But," Hank said again. "The stone didn't really matter at all. It's what you kids did to discover the truth about it."

"I guess." Said Chomper. "But there's still so much we don't understand. could be more then just one Stone Of Cold Fire?"

"And sometimes that stars we see at night are flying-rocks." Said Littlefoot. "Are they all that way?"

"What's going on up there?" Chomper asked.

"Who are you guys?" Both of them asked.

"Littlefoot. Chomper. Both of you have sharp minds." Said Hank. "Quite advanced for your speciese."

"Aha ha ha. We just pay attention more offten." Said Littlefoot.

"Unfortintly, we can not explain what is up there." Said Hank.

"Why?" Chomper asked.

"Well, that will be telling."

"But we can explain this to you." Said Linda. "There is so much more then to what you call The Great Circle of Life then you can possible imagian."

"Where? Out in The Mysterious Beyond?" Littlefoot asked.

"No. As we said to the Three-horn, beyond The Mysterious Beyond." Said Hank.

(Song start)

Hank: Life is not a game my friend. For losing or for winning.

Linda: And when you think you've reached the end,

Both: It's only the beginning.

The two watched as the Rainbow Faces rised their hands to the sky. Creating a light that shined around them and took them to the sky.

Hank: Beyond The Mysterious Beyond.

Linda: Beyond The Mysterious Beyond.

Hank: You know that nothing ever ends there.

Both: And you might find that you have friends there. Somewhere beyond, The Mysterious Beyond. The Mysterious Beyond. The Mysterious Beyond. The Mysterious Beyond.

(Song end)

With that said, the Rainbow Faces were gone.

"You think we'll see them again someday?" Chomepr asked.

"I have a feeling we will." Said Littlefoot.

Just then, the others walked by.

"What was that strange light we just saw?" Cera asked.

"Well Cera, that will be telling." Said Chomper.

"Telling what?" Ducky asked.

"What do you know that we don't know?" Ruby asked.

"There's much more we don't know about Ruby." Said Littlefoot. "But that's part of the fun. Thinking about how much we still have to learn about."

"Hey. I already know lots." Cera as the gang began to walk away from the hill.

"Me know more than Uncle Pterano." Said Petrie. "He no very smart after all."

"But we are plenty of smart. Right Spike?" Ducky asked.

Spike nodded.

And so, another adventure has come to an end. With many more to learn, the gang believes that they'll be ready for their next adventure soon.

And so, The Stone Of Cold Fire was come to a conclusion.

Even through it was magic and Pterano and the other Flyers were exposed to it using its power, that doesn't mean that they did get their own powers. And even through that it was magic, the gang still believed that they didn't need magic at all.

I'm going to put the series on hold for now. Get back to my other stories. I've got some ideas for some upcoming Tom and Jerry stories. But when I'm ready, The Big Freeze will be next. Until then, see you all soon. And stay safe.
