In the front garden of the condo, Aggie stomped her hoof harder as she twirled her lasso in the air, and threw it ahead of her, "YEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAWWWW!"
Val ran as fast as she could, but the lasso fell around her, and got caught in a tight grip, "Oh no, I've been captured!"
Melody also ran away, but also got captured, "It's the end of me!"
Then Guy Diamond tried to dodge the lasso, but he got caught as well, and the tight grip caused him to fart glitter, "Tell my storyyyyy!"
All the Trolls that Aggie captured got thrown in a square pen. When Aggie threw Guy Diamond inside with the other Trolls, she closed the door, and smirked proudly.
"Hoo-wee, Aggie, you're getting darn good at this here lassoing," Holly chuckled.
"Evuurr since the rodeo, ay feel so alive!" Aggie then opened the gate of the pen to let her friends out. It was revealed she was practicing lassoing, "It's darn good ta take on some Country Western mannuurr on me." The only Troll who wasn't part of Aggie's practice was Laguna as she came out from the condo building with a bag of her study materials. Aggie greeted her with her normal accent, "Hi, Laguna, where are you going?"
"I'm going to conduct my research on the Magic Techno Trolls today," Laguna said.
"What?" Dante arched a brow in confusion.
"Laguna, what are you talking about? You're a Techno Troll. You're the same as the Magic Techno Trolls," Aggie pointed.
"Actually, Techno Trolls are different from Magic Techno Trolls. That's why I want to conduct some research on the Magic Techno culture," the anTrollpologist corrected her.
Trollex came out of the pen, and said, "She's right, Aggie. Normal Techno and Magic Techno are different because of their… you know… status of having magic or not."
Laguna then interrupted, "Note: Your highness, having magic and non-magic isn't the only difference. I believe there are other things we don't have in common for the Magic Techno Trolls, and that's why I'm starting today."
"Why are you guys staying focused on differences? What about similarities? You guys have something in common with the Magic Techno Trolls," Aggie said.
"But Aggie, I thought differences are important to every Troll. That's what makes us… us, and living together in harmony," Prince D reminded.
"I know that, but sometimes, having the same interest makes a bond between people, just small similarities," the Magic Musical Troll reasoned
"It's true. Like Val and I. We love Glitterborne Chronicles," Poppy grinned while wrapping an arm around an embarrassed Val, but the other Trolls were silent while staring at her.
"Okay, that's a similarity I'm not interested in, but still," Aggie then turned to the original topic, "If you guys stayed focused on differences more than similarities, we don't know if we're gonna form a common bond."
Laguna placed her finger under her chin as she was thinking, "Hmm, you know what? You're right, Aggie. Maybe I can conduct a research is we have in common with the Magic Techno Trolls,"
"I think I'll come along," Trollex said, "As the King of the Techno Trolls, it's my responsibility to see if it's worth it to be friends with our magic counterparts."
Synth rushed to him while wrapping an arm around his brother, "Count me in there, bro. This is gonna be so…"
Unexpectedly, both Synth and Stereo imitated party horn sounds.
"Yeah, I'm coming along too. It won't be bad to be friends with different Trolls with the same music," Stereo added.
"Okay! And I know where you guys should get started. Follow me!" Aggie declared as she walked off, followed by the Normal Techno Trolls.
On their way, when Aggie led her Techno Troll friends to a place where they can start knowing the Magic Techno Trolls, they noticed a tree trapped by caution tape.
"Hey, Ags, what's that over there?" Trollex asked.
Aggie looked at where Trollex was pointing, and replied, "Oh, that's a quick chocolate milk powder where a delicious apple tree grew. The apples there are one of the most delicious apples nearby, but don't go there. Quick chocolate milk powder might sink you."
As they continued moving, Trollex just stared at the quick chocolate milk powder, thinking how deep it could be. Laguna also wrote that down on her clipboard.
After taking the bus, the 5 Trolls arrived where the MMTs were having fun with water.
"The Techno Water Amusement Park?" Stereo asked.
"Yep!" Aggie nodded as she led her friends at the age of the biggest pool in all of Harmonious Land, where MMTs raved underwater, "Bottom floor, Rave pool! Try to keep up!" Aggie twirled before diving down.
Trollex, Synth, Laguna and Stereo glanced at each other with shrugs before diving into the pool.
They swam as deep as they could with their fins pushing them under. When they made it down, they landed with their fins touching the dance floor. They saw that it looked the same as the last time they've been here. Not only Magic Techno Trolls, but other Magic Musical Trolls were having a rave in her.
"Hey guys, you remember Shimmer, do you?" Aggie came down to the floor first than the Techno Trolls do as she approached them with Shimmer.
"Of course we do!" Trollex extended his arm for a handshake.
Shimmer took a hand, and shook it rapidly, "Nice seeing again, Your Majesty!"
Trollex yanked his hand away, feeling dizzy with Shimmer's handshake.
Just then, Captain Raven swam by while she was enjoying the rave, "Ahh, if is it the Normal Techno Trolls themselves! Visiting the Rave pool. Looks like we're starting to form a common bond with them here, Trolls!" she announced while chuckling as the other Magic Techno Trolls cheered in excitement, "So, what brought you here to our rave party?"
"Well, our anTrollpologist Laguna Tidepool here wanted to study about your culture as Magic Techno Trolls," Synth explained.
"Oh, you want to learn more about us? Oh, we have tons of things you want to learn, like our favorite food, how we rave, how we control water… underwater!" Shimmer demonstrated by using her water powers to push a swimming Magic Techno Troll backward. He didn't know what's going on, but something pushed him away.
"Hmm, interesting," Laguna murmured while writing it down on her clipboard.
"Well, Captain, if there are a lot of things, we want to know about the Magic Techno Trolls, why don't we spend the day here doing things you all like to do. You know, become friends? Forming a common bond? Or forming ties with our tribes?" Trollex suggested with a calm smile.
"Oh yes, a field research! Just what I need for my observation," Laguna nodded with excitement.
"Yeah, and forming friendships is a good start of our ties between our tribes," Synth added.
Raven smiled while crossing her arms, "Well, I know we're the Magic Tech-no Trolls, but to that we say…"
"Magic Tech-yes!" All Magic Techno Trolls shouted.
"There's always 'Magic' in the beginning," Stereo said quietly while chuckling.
Up on the surface, Raven and the Normal Techno Trolls were on top of the biggest waterslide in Techno Water Amusement Park.
"One thing we Magic Techno Trolls love to do while making new friends is water sliding!" Raven screamed happily as she dived in, and slid down a gigantic crazy waterslide, and fell into the Rave Pool. She then hovered back on top with the Normal Techno Trolls.
"Sliding? That's a killer water slide!" Trollex exclaimed.
"I know. Totally killer! Come on, try it!" Raven grabbed Trollex, and threw him onto the slide.
Trollex wasn't ready to go into a crazy water slide ride as he cried in fear, until he reached the pool, almost drowning him
"Long live the king," Synth sobbed as he dramatically pretended that his brother died with fun.
In other medium-sized pools, the Magic Techno Trolls were floating on the surface of water with their tail fins touching the water while their legs crossed, and their arms were resting on their knees.
The Captain of Harmonious Land was doing the same thing while explaining, "In Tailditation, you can only float with your tail when you cross your legs, relax your arms, and feel the happiness and confidence inside you. Do you feel happy and confident?"
Next to her were Synth and Stereo as they tried to copy what the Magic Techno Trolls did. The two had difficult time doing Tailditation. They can do Treaditation, but Tailditation was new to them. It's unfortunate that they don't have extra legs for leg-crossing.
"Man, how did you do this?!" Synth exclaimed.
Synth used one of his fins to tailditate while crossing his other fin, but he sank into the pool, while Stereo crossed her fins, but sank as well.
Later, Shimmer then laid down on a relaxing chair with Laguna next to her on another chair. Another Magic Techno Troll placed electric eels on Shimmer's back, "Man, you should try this. Nothing gets your body right like electric eel massage. Just relax, and let it all in."
When another Magic Techno Troll came towards Laguna, he rubbed two electric eels together, making sparks on their noses, and about to place them on Laguna's back.
Laguna's eyes widened in fear, "I did not sign in for this Aah!" She quickly ran away in horror.
Later, when Aggie bought a bottle of flavored water and drank it, she saw her Normal Techno Troll friends got exhausted from their experience.
"Guys, are you okay?" she asked,
"We're done, Aggie!" Trollex yelled while fixing his hair "We'll never make a common bond, because the Magic Techno Trolls and the Normal Techno Trolls will never have in common," he then marched off.
"I have to agree with King Trollex, Aggie. We can't keep up with their activities like we used to back in Techno Reef." Stereo said with her hair wet.
"Okay, then I guess you guys will have to go on having the rest of our lives without making friendship ties with our tribes, and we'll never be together again," Aggie smirked.
This made Trollex stop marching off as he realized if their tribes won't form a bond, he and Aggie won't be together, and that's what he didn't like at all. He loved Aggie so much, and he couldn't bear being apart from her, "You know my weakness, girl. Fine. We'll go back, and try harder," The king of Techno said as he told his brother, and two Techno Trolls, "Come on!" They followed him to the Rave Pool.
Back at the bottom of the Rave Pool, the Magic Techno Trolls were raving along as Trollex approached Captain Raven while his fellow Techno Trolls were behind him
"Hey, Captain Raven," He called as Raven turned to him while dancing along to the beat, "Look, I was impatient back there figuring our similarities and differences between our tribes, but I wanna work through it, and adapt my life here in Harmonious Land. What do you say?" He pulled out two glowsticks (one is green, and the other one is pink) as Captain Raven gasped in excitement, "As the King of the Normal Techno Trolls, I declare all Normal Techno Trolls and Magic Techno Trolls have fun!"
The other Magic Techno Trolls cheered happily as some of them approached Synth, Laguna, and Stereo to show them what they do.
On top of the waterslide, Trollex tried to make this work as he dived into it, and slid down with Aggie behind him, but he lost his way from the slide as he fell on the edge, and crashed into the pool first. When he got up, Aggie was on the edge, and helped him get out of the pool, and made him try it again.
At another pool, while Raven demonstrated Tailditation again, though Synth and Stereo shrugged as they don't know how to do it without an extra tailfin or extra pair of legs. Raven thought about it, then got an idea. She pointed to her hair as a gesture that the two Normal Techno Trolls should use their hair as tail, and their fins as their legs.
When Synth and Stereo tried to tailditate… or hairditate for their case, they almost sank into the water, but Captain Raven kept reminding them to find happiness and confidence. When they tried it, they still sank.
At Laguna's, a Magic Techno Troll was about to place two electric eels on her body, but Shimmer was there to help her calm. When the eels electrified her body a bit, Laguna felt so relaxed, and didn't feel any pain from being electrocuted.
When Trollex tried to slide again, Aggie was there behind him as the two slid together into swirling, zigzagging, and bouncing slide, until they hit the pool.
Synth and Stereo successfully hairditated while Raven did Tailditation.
Later at night, when Trollex came out of the pool to dry himself with a towel, Synth, Laguna and Stereo approached him as they all met up at the benches.
"Trollex, bro! It's been a mash-up back there!" Synth exclaimed happily.
"Yeah, and I made a couple of friends today," Stereo added.
"So am I! And I completed my research about the Magic Techno Trolls!" Laguna showed her clipboard.
Trollex chuckled, "I guess giving the Magic Techno Trolls a chance to share their culture with us wasn't so bad after all," He and his fellow Techno Trolls decided to leave the Techno Water Amusement park as they headed towards the exit, "We learned a lot from them."
The next morning, Trollex came out of the elevator in a happy mood. He walked out of the door as he threw a peach in the air, and used his hair to cut them into pieces before falling onto the plate.
The other Trolls saw how happy the Techno King was as he took a bite on the slice of peach.
"Looks like someone's in ayy darn good mowod!" Delta chuckled.
"Aggie was right, Delta," Trollex said, "Letting those Magic Techno Trolls share their culture with us is a good idea."
"They have different ways to rave, have fun, and make new friends!" Laguna reported.
"Their Tailditation, it's like Treaditation, but different," Synth applied.
"And everyone questioned a lot of things about me because of… well, glitter around me," Stereo giggled.
"So, are there any similarities with them?" Branch asked.
"No, not exactly. But who cares, right? Maybe there's tiny similarities that our tribes will form a new friendship someday," Trollex smirked before eating another slice…, until he saw something horrible, and gasped.
Synth chuckled at his brother's expression, "Bro, it's like you saw a ghost! What's wrong?"
Trollex grabbed Synth's shoulders, and he turned him to see behind him. The other Trolls also turned around
Some Magic Techno Trolls tiredly poured coffee on their feet and tail as they didn't care how hurt they were, "Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow…"
"Oh! I see what's going on. The Magic Techno Trolls spent all day and night, teaching you guys everything what they had, and now, they didn't get enough sleep to start their day," Barb guessed.
More Magic Techno Trolls walked tiredly as they didn't see where they were going. They almost got hit by vehicles, and some bumped their heads on trees and lamp posts.
"No, you're wrong. They can't all be like this!" Trollex exclaimed worriedly.
"Shimmer!" Laguna saw her Magic Techno friend as she rushed to her, "Oh, thank the sea! You seem okay!"
"Of course! Why wouldn't I be? Wait," Shimmer looked down, and noticed she was wearing mismatched socks, "Hmm. I don't even wear socks. Creepy, huh?"
"It really is happening! Your lives are being thrown off in, in…" Stereo wanted to finish the sentence, but he was cut off by Captain raven, who walked by in front of their front yard.
"In a million horrifying ways, yes." She finished the sentence, revealing that she's still wearing her evening gown and mismatched socks.
"AAHHH! This is a disaster!" Synth yelled.
"I should tell Aggie about this," Shimmer said, "Do you know where the apple tree is?"
"The… Apple tree? Where the delicious apples grew nearby?' Trollex hoped that it's not the same apple tree that Aggie pointed yesterday.
"Yeah. I think I saw Aggie going there to pick apples. They are the good kinds… if Trolls can survive picking them without…" Raven tried to recall that memory.
"But that's where the Quick chocolate milk powder is! I gotta help her!" Trollex said as he quickly zoomed off to find Aggie.
He went to the direction where Aggie took them yesterday where they found the apple tree. He hoped he wasn't too late.
"Ags! Aggie!" Trollex called Aggie's name, until he stopped and heard her screams.
"Help!"
When Trollex arrived at the spot where the apple tree is, he found Aggie drowning in the quick chocolate milk powder, trying to get herself out.
"Aggie!" He screamed in horror as he extended his hair for Aggie to reach to get her out of the quick powder, but as far as Aggie extended her arms to her boyfriend's hair, she couldn't touch it. It didn't last long as Trollex brought his hair back to him, "I can't reach!"
"This is it for me, Trollex. It's the end of me! Just tell my story, especially when I realized I love you!" Aggie cried, accepting her fate.
But Trollex couldn't let that happen. He can't lose Aggie now. Without other way to save her, he had an idea as he jumped into the quick powder next to her.
"Trollex, what are you doing?!" Aggie asked.
Trollex replied, "I'm helping my girlfriend. You can float out of this if you Tailditate. Just feel the happiness and confidence inside you. Do you feel happy and confident?"
"What?! Hon, you know I just learnt that yesterday. I can't master that overnight!" the Magic Musical Troll screamed in panic.
"Ugh, just shut up, and look at me," Trollex cupped Aggie's face, and made her look at him, "Just feel the happiness and confidence inside you. What makes you feel happy and confident?"
Aggie tried to feel the happiness and confidence inside her as she couldn't think of something that made her happy and/or confident, but someone, "You."
Trollex was surprised that he's the source of Aggie's happiness and confidence. Aggie frowned a bit, afraid that her boyfriend couldn't accept it. But, to her surprise, Trollex leaned forward, and kissed her. Aggie's eyes widened before slowly closing them, kissing him back as the two completely sank into the quick powder.
But then, a large bubble inflated from below the quick powder, and… POP. Both Trollex and Aggie came out of the quick powder with Aggie tailditate, and Trollex hairditate, both holding their hands to hold on.
When they got out of the quick powder, Aggie wrapped her arms around Trollex.
"Thanks for saving me, Trollex!" she cried happily.
"Uh, Ags, we're in a public place," Trollex reminded.
"Hey, you kissed me. What's the difference?" the Master of All Music smirked.
"Fair enough," the Techno King shrugged as he hugged his girlfriend back, "I guess I am your happiness and confidence," Then, they broke the hug, "Hey, Aggie, I'm sorry. You were right. Normal Techno Trolls and Magic Techno Trolls are also the same. We have the same love for rave, our love for Techno music, and if we feel like… not ourselves, our lives are being-thrown off in a million horrifying ways. I guess I didn't see that."
"It's okay, Trollex. You're still learning," Aggie smiled, "And you're also right that we have differences too. But it doesn't mean we don't make a common bond, and be friends. When we share each other's cultures and interests, we can form a bond in any way. And we can make ties between our tribes one day," Aggie's words made her and Trollex blushed a bit, "You know, there will be another rave later. Do you wanna join?"
"Yeah. I mean, I have nothing to do today. I'm taking a day off from my job, so…" Trollex nodded.
Aggie gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, "I'll see you at the Water Amusement Park."
Trollex was in a lovestruck after Aggie giving him a kiss. Aggie continued to smile at him as the two stared at each other for a minute, until they realized they heard apples singing at them while forming a heart shape around the two Trolls with the branches of the tree.
Aggie groaned as she manipulates the tree with her plant magic to get back to its original form, "alright. Enough with the goo-goo eyes! Let's get out of here before someone sees us."
When Aggie walked off, Trollex watched her while holding his cheek where Aggie kissed him. He smiled, and hoped, one day, if their tribes bond, and they were allowed, they will reveal their secret relationship to the Magic Musical Trolls. But he still have to keep it a secret for now.
Later, in the Rave Pool, the Normal Trolls and Magic Musical Trolls were dancing and raving together, seeing that despite being different, they were also the same.
So, this is my new chapter.
Since I didn't write my own spin of "Branch Out Of Water", I decided to make my own version this episode here in season 2, except the concept is different.
Tailditation is similar to meditation or "treaditation" by using their tail, while hairditation used by hair. For the techno Trolls' case, since they don't have extra tails to tailditate, they used their hair as their tail while using their tail fins to cross their legs.
The quick chocolate milk powder was a reference of Nesquik Sand from Wreck-It Ralph. The singing apple was also a reference from Wreck-It-Ralph.
When Synth said the phrase, "Long live the king" is a reference from the Lion King.
