Stories have been around the world ever since the beginning of time itself. Everyone has a story to tell, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Stories are everywhere, and breathe life into the world.
But what will be unraveled today, is the very first story. The beginning of everything.
The story began once the first blades were forged. The tale was passed down from generation to generation, preserved to the finest detail.
In the beginning, the guardian of the world created by the Book of Omnipotence, sought worthy protectors. To protect his beloved Wonder World, which he himself was unable to protect himself. He sought out champions, heroes, those worthy to be called guardians of the Wonder World. To achieve this, he began to observe the world, scouring every last corner of it to find those that would help him in this desire.
The first of the chosen guardians was a powerful and ferocious dragon of red. The roars of this mighty creature could make anyone tremble, in fear of his absolute might. Call ten, call a hundred, call a thousand men. None of them would be able to slay this almighty beast, who's awesome power was never meant to be overcome. Understandably, the dragon was quite disagreeable and reluctant to join at first, but accepted the guardian of the Wonder World's offer once he himself witnessed their sheer power firsthand.
The second of the chosen guardians was a miraculous lion of blue. Its mane was a deep hue of indigo, it's roar rivalling that of the dragon. Its pride and power were traits to admire, only rivalled by its loyalty and compassion. When the guardian of the Wonder World reached out to this majestic creature, the lion of blue almost immediately agreed to support him in this plight of his. The reason? He felt sympathy for the guardian, and resolved to help him in this personal quest of his.
With that, the guardian chose a third protector, a human woman garbed in yellow. Much of her was shrouded in mystery, but the tale that always followed her was a legend that she had calmed a king for a thousand and one nights. Like the lion of blue, the woman in yellow agreed to follow the guardian. She was intrigued by this divine figure, and decided to follow him out of a desire of her own. As a storyteller by trade, she wanted to discover more stories to satiate her own mind.
And thus, the three guardians had been selected. They gathered in a certain secluded spot in the world, before swearing their loyalty to the guardian of the Wonder World. The guardian bestowed upon them his power, and the three chosen had become the Three Kings of the Wonder World.
The dragon of red became Great Red, the King of God Beasts.
The lion of blue became Aryeh, the King of Animals.
The woman in yellow became Scheherazade, the King of Stories.
But they did not just leave the world, without leaving a memento behind for the old home. Before they left the world with the Guardian of the Wonder World, they left behind a new power for the Sword of Logos.
The Sword of Logos is a secret organization of swordsman and warriors who made a vow to keep the peace in the world.
With their noble souls, they were the perfect choice to pass down power to.
They bestowed small fragments of their power to the organization, and left behind three books.
Great Red's book was the Brave Dragon, a story about a God Beast with incredible power, capable of destroying everything.
Ayreh's book was the Lion Senki, a story about the noble king of the Animals, marking a new chapter in its history.
And Scheherazade's book was the Lamp Do Alangina. Unlike the other two, this was the tale of Aladdin and his magic lamp, a story many already knew.
With the power from the three kings, the swordsmiths of the Sword of Logos created weapons with the new power. Three swords were forged, each from the power of the Three Kings of the Wonder World.
Kaenken Rekka, the sword of flames created from Great Red's power.
Suiseiken Nagare, the sword of water created from Ayreh's power.
And Raimeiken Ikazuchi, the sword of lightning created from Scheherazade's power.
With the three swords forged, they soon all found themselves wielded by swordsmen worthy of their power.
Wielding the Kaenken Rekka was Saber, the Swordsman of Flames.
Wielding the Suiseiken Nagare was Blades, the Swordsman of Water.
Wielding the Raimeiken Ikazuchi was Espada, the Swordsman of Lightning.
While all powerful on their own, the true power of the three swordsman was when they were together as one. They were an almighty force that could not be stopped, no matter how great the evil, just like the Three Kings of the Wonder World before them.
The part of the world where the Three Kings left to go to the Wonder World became a sacred grounds. From the rock, a building was created; the Edifice of the Three Kings. The holy grounds became instrumental and significant to the Sword of Logos, only furthering their will to protect the world that they lived upon.
And so it is written. This story has been told countless times, and was passed on countless times. The Sword of Logos continues to protect the world from the shadows, preventing it from falling into ruin.
Yet this story has been told countless times with no change. Every swordsman has heard it before, and they will pass it down to the next generation and so on.
Despite this, the story seems to be unfinished and lacking something to truly conclude it.
Will there be a new chapter in this story to tell? Or perhaps a new story will be born? The only one with the answer is time itself.
But we shall close the book for now. It is time to begin another story, one that finds itself twisted into this very tale of old...
So, due to me being unsatisfied with how my previous Saber fics went, I am trying something I feel could be new. Namely, I'm thinking of making Saber a female, as I feel female riders aren't really treated well.
With that being said, this is more a prologue for the fic itself, meant to explain some of the world before we get into the juicy bits, so please hold on until we get to it. With that being said, thank you for being understanding.
