The Ghost was low on power and fuel as it floated through the vastness of space, where Hera rotated her fist around in a circle on the cockpit's viewport, next to her to defrost it before placing her hands over the other, shivering.
"Sabine, fuel status," Hera requested Sabine, who was sitting in the co-pilot seat as she sighed.
".05," Sabine answered, "We're almost down to fumes."
"Sorry, guys. Have to divert more power from the thermal subsystems. Reducing heat to two percent," Hera apologized as she began to reduce the heat in the Ghost from one of the systems above her.
"Our intel on this fuel source better be solid," Kanan said as he drank a cup of caff in his hands as he sat in the Ghost's rear cannon, "I'm losing feeling in my fingers."
"Saw the report myself," Hera said as Chopper rolled into the cockpit holding a datapad in one of his metal arms, "Somewhere in this belt, the Mining Guild's been refining clouzon-36 for the Empire." Chopper grunted as Hera finished speaking, handing the datapad to Sabine.
"Whoa," Sabine said as she took the datapad from Chopper, "One shipment of that stuff could fuel us and all the ships in Phoenix Squadron for a cycle."
"Empire is scheduled to pick up their shipment today. We just have to get there and find it first," Hera added as Chopper grunted.
"The asteroid field is scrambling our sensors," Sabine sighed as she used the datapad Chopper gave her.
"Well, I'm getting nothing on the old visual scanners," Satele said from the Ghost's nose gun after blowing, causing her to exhale fog from her mouth, due to the ship's temperature before she heard a faint wailing in the distance from the vastness of space.
"All right. Cut the chatter. Keep your eyes peeled for that refinery," Hera ordered everyone.
"Does anyone hear that noise?" Satele asked as she continued to hear the faint wailing sound she heard a few seconds ago.
"The only thing I hear is my brain freezing," Zeb groaned from the Phantom as he had his hands over his head.
"There. The noise. I hear it again," Satele said as she heard the wailing again, "It's, It's getting louder."
"I don't see anything," Kanan told her as the wailing sound got louder, "What's it sound like, Satele?"
"It's, it's hard to describe. Kind of sad, I guess," Satele answered, "But… I mean, how can you not hear it? It's coming from all around us." Sabine shrugged as she said that.
"Satele, there's nothing," Hera told Satele, dismissing her claim of hearing something through the vastness of space, "Sabine, check the scanner again."
"Uh, don't have to. Look," Sabine said, pointing in front of them and as she said that, Kanan gasped as he and everyone else saw a space whale-like species flying through the vastness of space in front of them with four hind tentacles for a tail.
"Whoa," Satele said in amazement as she's never seen a creature like the ones flying in space before her and Chopper grunted as he rolled away from Sabine and Hera.
"Brace yourselves," Hera warned after gasping as the space whales flew past the Ghost with some of them accidently hitting the side of the ship as they flew past the Ghost, causing Satele to grunt as well as causing Chopper to fall towards the door as he grunted.
"What the bloody blazes are those?" Zeb asked, grunting a bit as the space whales continued to fly past below and above the Ghost.
"Purrgils," Hera answered, groaning a bit before clicking buttons above her, "They'll rip the hull apart. Prepare to fire. We gotta drive them back."
"Don't shoot! They'll pass. Just let 'em do do what they do," Kanan said, not wanting to harm innocent life forms.
"What they do is destroy starships like ours," Hera told him.
"We can't waste power fighting these things," Kanan warned her on the Ghost's comm system.
"What choice do we have?" Hera argued.
"Or we could just get out of their way," Sabine suggested.
"We either run into them or the asteroids. Take your pick," Hera told her, causing Chopper to grunt a response.
"Try flying with them instead of against them," Satele suggested as she looked up at Hera.
"Uh, that's not a half-bad idea," Sabine said, realizing that her sister had a point, "Good thinking, Sat."
"Fine," Hera relented, knowing that both Mandalorians had a point before muttering to herself, "I can't believe I'm doing this."
"It's not the strangest thing we've done," Kanan told her.
"Yeah, that doesn't make me feel any better," Hera muttered before activating the Ghost's thrusters and flew past the purrgil before she swung the ship around in the direction the purrgil were headed towards.
"I think they're calming down. I'm not hearing them," Satele said as the Ghost floated between a few of the purrgil.
"That was a good instinct, Satele," Kanan told her, "How did you know?"
"It just seemed like the right thing to do," she answered, looking behind in her seat.
"OK, we're low on fuel, surrounded by asteroids and caught in a swarm of purrgil," Hera told them, "How has our situation improved exactly?"
"Hello? Are we shooting them or not?" Zeb asked as the Ghost continued to fly with the purrgil, "'Cause here comes a really big one."
"Wow. These creatures are amazing," Satele said as the 'really big one' as Zeb put it flew past her, "Who would want to shoot them?"
"Hera, if you gave her the chance," Kanan answered as Satele got off of her seat and looked at the purrgil's eye.
"Kanan, you don't know what you're talking about. I do," Hera told her boyfriend.
"Well, since I'm so uneducated, why don't you explain your problem?" He asked her.
"These creatures are a menace. A big lumbering menace," Hera began to explain as Satele pulled her hand out to try and connect with the purrgil using the Force, but the purrgil started to wail as she did this.
"Uh, something's upsetting it," Satele told everyone.
"Maybe it's Hera," Zeb suggested as the purrgil began to fly upwards.
"No, it's not Hera," Kanan said, turning the Ghost's rear cannon around as he heard a spacecraft approaching and saw two TIE fighters approaching them, "TIE fighters. Two of 'em. I need a better angle."
With that said, one of the approaching TIE fighters fired upon the Ghost.
"Hang on!" Hera told them as she piloted the Ghost upwards as Kanan fired the rear cannon, destroying one of the TIE fighters as the rear cannon's turbolasers hit one of them.
"Those TIEs have been modified," Sabine noted as the only remaining TIE fighter flew past them and that it was colored yellow with its wings having two of its solar collectors removed on both of its wings, "They're not Imperial."
"Well, they're acting like it," Kanan told her as the TIE fighter swooped back around and headed towards them.
"I've got him. I've got him," Satele said, clicking the gun controls of the nose gun's cannons before widening her eyes as an alarm went off and turned around, "Hera, I lost my cannons."
"Rerouting auxiliary power from the Phantom," Hera said as she began to reroute power from the Phantom and into the Ghost's nose gun.
"Oh, Karabast!" Zeb muttered as the power in the Phantom was switched off as the Ghost's thrusters began to go dark.
"Hera!" Satele yelled as the TIE fighter fired its turbolaser, hitting the Ghost's nose gun as she still couldn't fire and screamed as the TIE fighter headed towards her and the cannons soon came back online as it's targeting system powered back on and she instantly began firing the cannons as the TIE fighter flew to her side and destroyed it and sighed as she slumped back in her seat.
"Oh, see? If we shot at the purrgil, we wouldn't have had…" Kanan started to say before Hera switched her comm system off, not wanting to hear what he had to say.
"Those fighters were Mining Guild," Sabine told Hera.
"They must be from the refinery," Hera realized, "You think you can track where they came from?"
"Maybe," Sabine answered, "Give me a minute."
"As I was saying, it's a good thing we didn't waste energy shooting at the purrgil," Kanan told Hera as he entered the cockpit a while later as Chopper left the room and placed his arm over the top of the seat behind the pilot's seat.
"I heard you the first time," Hera told him as she turned the pilot's seat around to face him.
Below Hera and Kanan in the nose gun, Satele was observing the Purrgil as she looked out the window, watching them and sensed that something was wrong, "Something's happening," she said as she saw the Purrgil began to turn around and she turned around to look at Hera above her, "They're turning around. I think we should follow them."
"Following them is the last thing we should do," Hera told her as Kanan sat in the seat behind her, "Sabine, did you find out where the fighters came from yet?"
"I did," Sabine answered.
"Good. What's our heading?" Hera asked her.
"Follow the purrgil," Sabine answered.
"What?" Hera said with disbelief in her voice.
"Yeah, I hate to tell you this, but the purrgil are heading right where I calculated those fighters came from," Sabine explained.
"That's so interesting," Kanan said, sarcastically as he leaned forward.
"All right. I guess for now we follow the purrgil," Hera relented as she turned her seat around, while Satele climbed up the ladder that leads to the nose gun.
"Hey, for what it's worth, I've got a good feeling about this," Satele said, holding onto the top of the ladder with one of her hands as Kanan crossed his arms as Hera turned the pilot's seat back around and pushed a lever forward as they began to follow the purrgil.
"Go check your cabins. Make sure everything is switched off. We've gotta save every little bit of fuel," Hera ordered Kanan and Sabine before they went to leave the cockpit as they saw Zeb heading towards the cockpit.
"Come on, big guy," Kanan said to the Lasat.
"It's colder back there," Zeb groaned as the door to the cockpit closed.
"I never imagined there were creatures in deep space," Satele said as she approached Hera.
"When I was young, I was told amazing stories of creatures that live in the stars traveled between the worlds. Old pilots said it was the purrgil who inspired us to jump from system to system," Hera explained to Satele as the Mandalorian crossed her arms, "But I don't believe it. The purrgil are dangerous. They wander into Hyperspace lanes, crash into ships. I've lost more than one friend that way."
"Well, maybe they don't realize they're putting people in danger," Satele suggested, "Maybe it's like Kanan says, you know. They just do what they do."
"Right now as long as they don't come between me and my mission I really don't care what they do," Hera told her.
"Fair enough," Satele said, chuckling a little when the alarms started blaring from the scanner as both they and the purrgil began to approach a planetoid with a crater in the middle of the planetoid with something that looked like blue-green gas glowing from the crater.
"Scanners are picking up an energy source from that planetoid ahead," Hera said, checking the scanner.
"Do you think it's the refinery?" Satele asked her.
"We're about to find out," Hera told her as they got closer and closer to the crater as Satele sat in the co-pilot's seat as they saw a refinery connected to one side of the planetoid's crater, "There it is. The refinery."
"I wonder why the purrgil are headed that way," Satele told her.
"Works out for us," Hera said, "Between us and all these asteroids the Mining Guild will never see us coming."
"The automatic doors aren't so automatic anymore," Zeb said as he opened the cockpit's door manually with his hands, grunting and holding it for both Kanan and Sabine and let go of the door after they entered as he followed them into the cockpit.
"I've rationed what energy we have left," Hera told everyone.
"What's your next move?" Kanan asked Hera as the cockpit's doors sealed shut behind them.
"I want to get a secure position to plan our attack," Hera answered as Sabine walked over to one of the computers on the side and hovered had finger over a button, while Chopper rolled over to the astromech port and plugged his scomp link into it, "Sabine, Chopper, ready a short controlled burst from the engines. In three, two one. Now!"
With that said, the Ghost began to accelerate towards the crater before landing on one of the asteroids that was hovering over the large crater, while some of the purrgil swam in a circle underneath the asteroid.
"OK. So how exactly are we gonna pull off this raid with our limited resources?" Zeb asked.
"Well, give me a second and I'll tell you," Sabine said as she pulled out a pair of electrobinoculars and placed them over her eyes as she zoomed in on the refinery and saw two Mining Guild TIE fighters stationed on the refinery's landing bay, "OK. More fighters. That's not good." She then looked at the edge of the refinery and saw an E-Web repeating blaster cannon being guarded by two of the Mining Guild employees, "Anti-ship cannon, also not good. But… aha." She soon noticed a Rodian standing on a platform looking close and below the platform and saw six red and silver colored canisters that were being transported by members of the Mining Guild, "There's the Empire's shipment. OK, lots of guards around but I think we can drop down there and scoop it up and go."
"Forget the scoop job. We have just barely enough fuel to get down there," Hera told her, "We have to land."
"Refuel on the platform?" Zeb said with confusion and disbelief as Sabine removed her pair of electrobinoculars from her eyes, "They'll blast us to bits." Satele then placed her own pair of electrobinoculars over her eyes as he said that, "We need a diversion."
"I've got one," Sabine announced, "The gas in that pool in unrefined clouzon-36. Highly explosive in its pure form. We drop a few charges. The blast will provide all the diversion we need."
"In the chaos, we grab the fuel," Kanan added.
"And that huge fireball will destroy the Empire's ability to refine more," Hera said, realizing what they were getting at, "I like it. Satele, you hear the plan?"
"Yeah, drop a few charges in the gas to start a chain reaction damaging the Empire's ability to refine more of the gas in this location," Satele said, telling them what the plan that they just thought up was as she watched one of the purrgil with her electrobinoculars before she removed them from her eyes, "Uh, they're using the cannon to shoot the purrgil. Why would they bother?"
"Speaking of, how do we get past that gun undetected?" Sabine asked.
"We jump," Kanan answered as Satele placed her pair of electrobinoculars back over her eyes.
"Excuse me?" Sabine asked, not believing what she heard him say.
"We're in the upper atmosphere. We can glide on the catwalk. With all the purrgil around we can probably slip by unseen," Kanan explained as Zeb crossed his arms.
"Sounds like a dangerous plan," Zeb stated.
"Don't worry, buddy. You're staying here," Kanan told the Lasat as he placed his hand over Zeb's shoulder.
"Sounds like a good plan," Zeb said, going back against what he said seconds ago.
"The purrgil and the gas are connected," Satele muttered to herself before turning to Zeb, Kanan and her sister who were leaving the cockpit, "Hey, uh, guys."
"Not now, Satele. You've gotta prep for the mission," Hera told her.
"But I think the purrgil want the fuel," she explained.
"Well, so do we," Hera reminded her, "Get going."
Meanwhile down at the refinery, a male brown skinned and furred alien with protruding eyes and a small tentacle-like appendages surrounding his mouth and he was from a species known as Moyn and was one of the Mining Guild bosses and was the boss of the refinery and was named Yushyn, he was walking forward towards the E-Web cannon on the catwalk as one of the Rodians was operating the cannon, while another Rodian was standing behind the E-Web cannon.
"Why are those flying leeches back?" Yushyn asked the Rodian in front of him, "Insent two fighters to deatroy them."
"Pilots haven't reported in, sir," the Rodian answered, "Perhaps they've run into trouble."
"These creatures have eaten enough of our fuel," Yushyn told him, "I don't want to hear our cannons stop firing until all of those things are dead."
With that said, Yushyn left and the Rodian that was operating the E-Web cannon began to fire the cannon again.
Back on the Ghost, Satele had her helmet under her arm with her jetpack on her back as she stood next to Sabine in the cargo hold, who was holding a modified stormtrooper helmet that Kanan gave her with Chopper standing next to them as Kanan approached the twins.
"Sabine, do you have the helmet I lent you?" Kanan asked Sabine and as if on cue, Sabine handed the stormtrooper helmet to him and looked at it and saw that it looked like it had the face of a Loth-cat painted on it, "What? You said you just wanted to look at it."
"I did look at it. And it looked bad," Sabine told him as she placed her helmet over her head.
"If you lent it to me I'd probably have done the same thing," Satele told him as she placed her helmet over her head as well, "Besides, I think it looks great."
"Satele, why do you have your jetpack with you?" Kanan asked her as the ramp lowered.
"It's so I can use my rocket on one of the TIEs in case the plan goes sour," Satele explained.
"Good thinking, Satele," Kanan told her.
"Yeah, that's good thinking, Sis," Sabine said, agreeing with their master as she and Satele placed their thermal detonators over their belts.
Kanan began to run off the ramp with both of his Padawans and Chopper following him and the three Force-wielders entered freefall with Chopper grunting as they continued to fall through the atmosphere toward the refinery's catwalk below them.
"Wow," Satele muttered as two purrgil flew down with them which she pulled her hand towards it before it backed away after the one next to her sister bellowed.
"Five seconds Kanan said as they got closer and closer to the catwalk and landed a distance from the rodians using the E-Web repeating blaster cannon with Chopper activating his rocket booster as he landed on the catwalk, while Kanan and Satele used the Force to slow down and landed near Chopper from behind and Sabine tried doing the same thing as her sister and their master but failed.
"Kanan, Satele, help!" Sabine yelled as she flew past the catwalk, but luckily for her Satele pulled her up and she panted as she got on the catwalk, "Thanks, Sis. But aside from that I'm gonna have to work on that."
"Me and Kanan are gonna make sure you do after we get get the fuel back to Phoenix Squadron," Satele told her.
"You two, look out!" Kanan said as he ignited his lightsaber after one of the Rodians noticed them as one of the Rodians began to fire a blaster pistol at them as Satele grabbed hers from her armor's belt and ignited it as well and they began to deflect the Rodian's blaster bolts with them, while Sabine took her WESTAR-35s out and began shooting at the rodian with them, "So much for our stealth mission! Sabine, Satele toss the detonators."
"On it," Sabine said as she grabbed the detonators from her belt and clicked a button on it.
"Wait! We can't use them!" Satele said as she turned around and stopped her as the detonators dropped on the catwalk and deactivated the detonators as she grabbed them.
"Satele, are you crazy?" Kanan asked as he saw what Satele did.
"We can't blow up the gas!" Satele explained.
"Please don't tell me this is about the purrgil, Sis," Sabine said, knowing full well what her sister was talking about.
"It is," Satele said, confirming her sister's suspicions.
"Hold that thought," Kanan told her, "Sabine!" He then ducked as he said that and Sabine fired her WESTAR-35s at the rodian with the blaster bolts hitting him in the chest while the Rodian operating the E-Web repeating blaster cannon started firing upon them as this happened, Kanan Force jumped onto the top of the doorway on the catwalk in front of the Rodian and deflected the blaster bolts with his lightsaber.
"Hey!" Satele said as she stood in front of the rodian and extended her arm out as she Force pushed him off the Catwalk, causing the Rodian to scream as he fell off of the catwalk.
"OK. Explain yourself," Kanan said as he jumped off of the doorway and landed in front of her.
"OK. The gas and the Purrgil are connected," she explained, "We can't blow up the gas without hurting them."
"Hmm," Kanan said as he knew Satele had a point.
"Kanan, what's the plan?" Sabine asked Kanan.
"I trust your instincts, Satele," Kanan told Satele, "Now get on that cannon and cover us."
"What exactly are we doing?" Sabine asked as her sister ran over to the E-Web repeating blaster cannon.
"We're going to secure the landing zone," he answered and with that he and Sabine ran back through the doorway to secure the landing zone.
"Uh-oh. There's no explosion," Zeb said as he sat in the co-pilot's seat in the Ghost's cockpit and turned to Hera, "How come there's no explosion?"
"Sabine, what's going on?" Hera asked as she turned on the Ghost's comm system.
"Were improvising, again," Sabine answered, activating her helmet's comlink, "Kanan and I are securing the landing zone while Satele covers us with the cannon."
"Who changed the plan?" Hera asked her.
"The purrgil changed the plan," Sabine answered.
"Not the purgil again," Hera complained, "Are you sure you can secure the landing platform? Once I start heading down there, I can't turn back."
"Hera, if you're looking for a guarantee you are on the wrong mission," Sabine stated, "We'll contact you when the platform is clear."
"Next time, we just plan on changing the plan," Zeb told Hera as the Ghost's comm system was turned off.
"Boss Yushyn, we have intruders on the patrol bridge," a Rodian on the platform above Kanan, Sabine and Chopper said as he activated his helmet's comlink as he watched them run below him.
"Fuel thieves," Yushyn stated from the refinery's control room before turning to a Rodian behind him at one of the computers, "Alert our sentries. Protect the shipment at all costs."
With that said, the Rodian on the platform above fired upon them with an E-11 blaster rifle, causing Sabine, Chopper and Kanan to hide behind a wall of box-shaped containers as Rodians across from them on the same level began firing at them, only to hit the containers instead of Sabine, Chopper or Kanan.
"Where's my cover fire?" Kanan asked Satele through his stormtrooper helmet's comlink as Chopper grunted.
"Working on it," Satele said as she rotated the E-Web repeating blaster cannon before she fired it at the Rodian on the platform above, only for him to move out of the way before she turned it to aim at the Rodians in front of the canisters containing the fuel.
"Careful! Don't hit the fuel, Sis," Sabine warned her sister with her helmet's comlink and with that said, Satele began firing the E-Web repeating blaster cannon towards the Rodians, only for them to scatter before she heard the purrgil bellowing in the sky and saw them swimming in a circle, "Hera, you better get down here. Your landing zone is temporarily secure."
"Then it's a good thing we're here," Hera said on the comlink of Sabine's helmet as Sabine and Kanan looked up and saw the Ghost landing near them with Zeb standing at the ramp wearing a gas mask over his mouth.
"I'll get the fuel," Zeb told Hera.
"Make it fast," Hera said from the Ghost's cockpit.
"Oh. They're back," Satele muttered to herself as she watched one of the purrgil dive down into the clouzon-36 gas and swim in the gas below her and the catwalk before flying back up as it's skin color changed from brown and gray to a bluish-purple with bits of gray and yellow and she was amazed at what she just saw.
"Specter-6, do you copy?" Kanan said on the comlink of Satele's helmet.
"Kanan, I figured it out," she said as she activated her helmet's comlink, "You're not gonna believe this."
"I believe I need more cover fire!" Kanan responded as the Rodians continued to fire at him and Sabine as they hid behind the container again after he fired his DL-18 blaster pistol at them.
"Yes! Right. Uh, sorry," Satele said as she went back to the E-Web repeating blaster cannon as a Rodian from one of the platforms above her sister and Kanan began to fire upon them with another E-Web repeating blaster cannon and she began to fire upon him with the cannon, only for the Rodian to shoot back at her, destroying her E-Web repeating blaster cannon before stepping backwards and screamed as she accidentally fell off the edge of the catwalk and into the clouzon-36 gas below.
Sabine was pushing one of the canisters with Chopper rolling one of the others canisters with Zeb and Kanan firing their blaster and bo-rifles at the Rodians as she pushed one of the canisters onto the ramp of the Ghost, while Hera clicked a few buttons on the cockpit's console, causing the Ghost's rear cannon to turn around and fire turbolasers at the Rodian firing the E-Web repeating blaster cannon at them from above as the Ghost's rear cannon soon destroyed the E-Web repeating blaster cannon.
"Launch fighters," Yushyn ordered as he approached two Rodians on a platform above the rebels.
With that said, two of the Mining Guild TIE fighters lifted off of the landing bay, while Hera ran to the comm system of one of the Ghost's computers in the cockpit, "I thought you said the landing platform was secure," she recalled.
"Temporarily," Sabine reminded her as she entered the cargo hold with one of the canisters, "I said temporarily secure."
"Refuel commencing," Zeb said with Chopper next to him along with the canister that the astromech was pushing and it was this canister that Zeb was using to refuel the Ghost with as he pulled the top of the canister up for a second before pulling it back down as the clouzon-36 gas from the canister began to be transferred to the Ghost.
"Come on, come on," Hera said to herself as she checked the computer.
As one of the TIEs was heading towards the Ghost, Kanan ran towards the box-shaped containers that were in front of him and jumped onto one of the containers before jumping onto the Ghost and ignited his lightsaber as he went into a battle stance as the TIE began to fire upon him and deflected the turbolasers with his lightsaber, "We've got fighters. Satele," he said, calling out to Satele, not realizing that she fell off the catwalk as he looked at the location of where he last saw her, where she was operating the E-Web repeating blaster cannon before one of the Rodians destroyed it as she fell into the clouzon-36 below them.
"Satele! Satele, where are you? Satele? Come in, Satele!" Kanan said on Satele's wrist communicator as she slept on a purrgil with her helmet on the back of the purrgil before it fell down the purrgil a bit and she went to reach for it as she woke up and groaned as she realized that she was about to suffocate and panted as she went to reach her helmet, only for it to fall off the body of the purrgil and she started wheezing as she began coughing before falling on her stomach and began to fall off of the purrgil, only to stop as she reached the Purrgil's eye.
"Help, help me " she pleaded with the purrgil as she opened her eyes again and stared directly into the purrgil's eye and saw that it looked like when a starship entered Hyperspace and was mesmerized by it, "I understand. We want to help you. Let us help you."
With that said, all of the purrgil began to swim upwards but as this happened the purrgil next to the one she was on pulled one of its tentacles out towards her holding her helmet on the tentacle and she slowly reached her hand out to grab it and placed it back over her head.
"Thank… Thank you. You saved my life," she told the purrgil that gave her back her helmet as she breathed heavily.
"We need to find Satele," Zeb said as he fired his bo-rifle at the Mining Guild Rodians.
"She's my sister so I'm worried about her too, Zeb. But without fuel, we can't find anybody," Sabine told him as she fired her WESTAR-35s at the Rodians, while Chopper pushed one of the fuel canisters up the Ghost's ramp.
"Satele's down. We need to get out of here," Kanan said as he deflected blaster bolts with his lightsaber as he continued to stand on top of the Ghost.
"Just a few more seconds," Hera said from inside the Ghost as she was still standing in front of one of the computers as she watched the ship getting refueled.
"Times up," Kanan stated as he went into the combat stance known as Ataru as the two TIE fighters appeared before them as they hovered in front of the Ghost as Sabine and Zeb were pushing two of the canisters up the ramp into the ship as they saw the two TIE fighters and Yushyn on the platform above them.
"Surrender, thieves. You are at my mercy," Yushyn demanded of the rebels.
"I can't believe we're gonna lose to this guy," Kanan muttered in disbelief.
"What's your answer?" Yushyn asked them.
"Kanan, don't worry. We'll be right there," Satele suddenly said on the comlink of Kanan's stormtrooper helmet.
"We?" Kanan asked with confusion as he activated his stormtrooper helmet's comlink and just as he asked that the purrgils flew up from the clouzon-36, one of them destroying one of the TIE fighters as they flew into it.
"I don't believe it," Hera muttered in disbelief as she watched the purrgils help them from the Ghost's pilot's seat in the cockpit.
As the rest of the purrgil flew up and stopped as they floated above them they saw Satele standing on one of the purrgils and that purrgil was the one who gave her back her helmet with her lightsaber in her hand as she ignited its blade.
"We found Satele," Zeb said as he and Sabine saw Satele standing on the back of one of the purrgil as Sabine gasped in shock.
"Blast those disgusting things!" Yushyn ordered the Rodians standing next to him and they began firing their blaster rifles at the purrgils, only for Satele to deflect the blaster bolts with her lightsaber and she flipped down her helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder as she saw a TIE fighter swoop around towards her and locked onto it with her helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder as she bent down and launched her jetpack's rocket at the TIE fighter, destroying it instantly before she flipped her helmet's macrobinocular viewplate's rangefinder back up.
"How's the Ghost?" Kanan asked Hera from the Ghost's viewport outside the Ghost as he saw her run back from one of the computer systems, checking the refueling process to the pilot's seat.
"We're back in action," Hera answered as she sat back down in the pilot's seat.
"This is the last one," Zeb said as he was pushing the final canister after Sabine pushed hers up the ramp, "Go. Go!"
The Ghost then began to lift up as Hera activated the ship's engines as they lit up.
"Forget the beasts. Stop that ship!" Yushyn ordered the Rodians and with that said, tue Rodians began firing upon the Ghost with their blaster rifles as it began to leave with Sabine running into the cockpit before sitting in the co-pilot's seat and began to co-pilot the ship, while Kanan stood outside the cockpit's viewport, deflecting blaster bolts with his lightsaber. "Hold them off. I'll cover you," Yushyn then began to run from the purrgil, who were flying towards him and soon cornered him from his front and behind as the one behind him used its tentacles to grab onto the building as both purrgil growled as they approached him. "Keep away. Keep away!" He went to jump off the railing next to him, only for purrgil behind him to grab him with its mouth before flying back down into the clouzon-36 along with a few other purrgil.
The Ghost began to fire turbolasers at the refinery before firing two missiles at the refinery, flying away from the refinery as it began to blow up with the purrgil, including the one Satele was riding on followed the Ghost and soon the purrgil that Satele was riding on came up next to the Ghost and she hopped off of the purrgil and onto the Ghost before placing her hand on the purrgil's eyelid before removing her hand from it as the purrgil flew away.
"It wasn't like anything I've ever experienced," Satele told Kanan with their helmets under their arms as they entered the Ghost's cockpit as Sabine was still in the co-pilot seat but now had her helmet removed, while Zeb sat in the seat behind Hera with Chopper standing next to him as Satele pointed to the side of her head, "I could see what they were thinking."
"You must have established a deep connection with them," Kanan explained to her.
"I guess so," Satele said as she knew he was right, "I could see they need gas to breathe and travel. The crater wasn't their home just one stop on a long journey."
"I have to admit, without the help of the purrgil we never would have gotten off the ground again," Hera admitted as Satele approached her.
"Whoa. Look," Sabine said as she saw the side of the purrgils' tentacles begin to light up as the same type of blue as Hyperspace.
"Can it be?" Hera asked herself as one by one each purrgil jumped into Hyperspace, confirming Hera's suspicions.
"It is true. They can travel through Hyperspace," Satele said as she realized what Hera said about the purrgil inspiring early space travelers to create the Hyperdrive was true.
"We better get moving, too," Kanan chuckled.
"Back to the fleet?" Sabine asked Hera as she turned to her.
"How 'bout we follow the purrgil?" Hera countered as she overcame her animosity towards the purrgil and the Ghost then jumped into Hyperspace to follow the purrgil.
