Hypnotized By You-Ch 11
Derek walked back to the others and smiled as he told them that they were moving Penelope to her room, they all then followed the nurse up the corridor. When they walked into her room Penelope looked up and said, "sorry that I worried you guys" and JJ and Emily walked over and hugged her tightly.
When they pulled away they said, "congratulations" in unison", Penelope slid her hand down to her stomach and said, "yeah, a baby, it's still hard to wrap my fingers and head around, ya know"?, JJ nodded her head and said, "we remember what that was like, we were both nervous when we first heard that we were pregnant, weren't we Em"?, Emily said, "ohhhh we soooooooooo were" causing the three women to laugh.
The team stayed about an hour before they headed home leaving Derek and Penelope alone, Derek stood smiling down at her and said, "is their anything I can do for you"?, she scooted over and patted her bed and said, "can you lay with me"?, he toed off his shoes and said, "I'd love to baby girl" as he laid down beside her and wrapped his arms around her lovingly.
As the couple laid wrapped in each others arms they laughed and discussed their future and that future would start with their wedding, their very in the near future wedding. They decided that they wanted a small wedding with a justice of the peace with their team and family by their sides.
Before Penelope drifted off to sleep Derek kissed her gently on the lips and said, "don't worry I'll make it happen", she grinned tiredly and said, "I love you" before closing her eyes and drifting off. Derek had quickly sent a group text letting the family know of their plans and asking for their help before he joined his baby girl in sleep.
The next morning she was released and they were currently headed back to Dave and Frans, Fran had sent them a text asking them to come join them and the others after she got released from the hospital. When they walked through the door Penelope smiled as JJ said, "are you two ready to get married"?,Derek and Penelope looked at each other and smiled and then said, "yes" in unison as they walked over to join their family.
Dave explained that they would be getting married in front of the justice-of-the-peace at noon so the girls took Penelope upstairs to help her get ready as the men did the same for Derek. Penelope was ushered into a tub filled with bubbles that she ohhh so happily accepted and as she soaked the girls filled her in on her dress, flowers, the reception and of course their honeymoon.
Around 11:30 the whole family loaded up in several SUVs and headed toward the court house, Derek and Penelope were excited to get there, they couldn't wait to get married. As they made their way up the steps at the court house Derek intertwined fingers with her and said, "are you ready to become Mrs. Derek Morgan"?, she grinned and said, "more than you will ever know handsome" causing him to laugh as they walked through the doors.
