Hypnotized By You-Ch 16
Over the next several months Derek and Penelope adjusted to their lives together both as husband and wife and as expectant parents to be. Penelope was still working full time and loving every minute of her pregnancy and so far it was smooth sailing for the analyst.
Today was to be Penelopes last day of work because she was going on maternity leave, her due date was only a few days away and she was working hard to get everything ready for her temporary replacement. She had picked out her replacement a beautiful girl named Terena Hodges, she was amazing and knew her stuff, not as good as Penelope but really good at her job none the less.
Penelope was pushing herself back from her babies when she was hit with a sudden pain, she put her hand on her stomach and said, "easy sweetie, be good to momma okay". She then stood up and started making her way toward her door, she stopped when she was hit with another pain and this one was different from the other one because it radiated all the way around from her stomach to her back.
Her attention was pulled to the door when she heard Derek say, "you okay goddess"?, she looked up at him and said, "handsome I think you might oughta get me to the hospital". He ran over to her and said, "why, what's wrong, are you alright"?, she said, "I've started having pains and I'm thinking that they are contractions".
He nodded his head and said, "okay baby girl, let's get you to the hospital" as they walked out of her lair and up the hall toward the elevator. As the doors opened JJ and Reid stepped on and then turned as they heard Derek say, "hold the elevator, hold the elevator".
JJ said, "what's wrong"?, Derek said, "baby girl thinks she's in labor", Emily, Hotch and Dave were walking out of the bullpen and heard what Derek said and they quickly made their way toward the elevator. Hotch said, "I'll call your doctor and let her know that you're on the way", Derek and Penelope nodded their heads yes as they stepped onto the elevator.
The ride to the hospital was eventful as a few blocks away from the BAU her water broke, she said, "ohhhh this isn't good, this isn't good, guys my water just broke". JJ said, "it's okay Garcie, it's okay don't worry we'll be at the hospital in a few minutes", Reid looked over his shoulder and said, "how far apart are the contractions Morgan"?, Derek said, "about 3 minutes".
Reid opened his mouth to speak but stopped as they entered the intersection only too see everything blocked off by an accident, a three car accident. Reid said, "uh guys we've got problems here" and Derek said "what's wrong pretty boy"?, he said, "I can't go anywhere, we're blocked by a three car accident, we're stuck here".
Emily, Hotch and Dave who were in the SUV behind them quickly got out and ran up to them to check on Penelope to see how fast she was progressing. Derek said, "the contractions are about 3 minutes apart and they are strong, I mean really strong" and Hotch nodded his head and said, "I'll see if I can't get us some help but just in case I can't, get ready".
Penelope looked up at him and said, "ready, ready for what"?, Emily bit down on her bottom lip and said, "ready to deliver the baby here PG", Penelopes mouth flew open and she said, "you can't be serious". Everybodys attention turned to Hotch who cleared his throat and said, "bad news guys, it looks like we are on our own, the medics can't get here for a while, they had already left this scene with the patients, all that's left here is the clean up and that's blocking any aid in getting here".
Reid looked at JJ and said, "it looks like we're gonna need a few things", JJ nodded her head yes and said, "we'll go get everything" as Reid started naming off everything he was going to need to bring baby Morgan into his world.
