Epilogue 5 Years Later
Derek stood by the bedside of his wife and smiled as she looked down at the chubby face of their newest child Jasmine Francine Morgan, she had been born two weeks late and of course she was born in the middle of terrible storm on the hottest day of the year.
The team was away on a case and Fran and the girls were in Chicago visiting family when Penelope went into labor and delivered little Jazzy. Derek on the other hand had been on paternity leave for only two days when she went into labor and Penelope was oh so glad that he was by her side during the entire ordeal.
After Jasmine was born Derek sent pictures to his family with the heading "MEET JASMINE FRANCINE MORGAN, AKA JAZZY", it was only a matter of a few minutes before congratulation message after congratulation message started showing up, they were so happy for the couple and sad because they were all out of town and couldn't be with the happy couple.
Derek and Penelopes children 5 year old Hank and 3 year of Sophia Grace were at home with their nanny, they had both been so excited to hear that they had a new sister and they couldn't wait to meet her. Now in addition to the birth of Jazzy Reid and JJ welcomed another son Michael who was now 3 in addition to Henry now age 8.
Hotch and Emily also welcomed the addition of their twins Zachary Thomas and Zara Tiffany a few months after JJ and Reid welcomed Michael into their clan. Sarah was now married to a friend of Daves named Arthur Murphy and they are the proud parents of a 2 year old son named Mitchell.
Desi on the other hand is married to a new BAU agent Luke Alvez and they are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl now 1 1/2 years old named Isabella and she is the apple of her daddy's eye. Fran is over the moon with her grandchildren and she takes great pleasure in spoiling each and every one of them.
As Derek sat down beside his wife he said, "you are so beautiful", Penelope said, "oh please, I must look like a mess, I was in labor for 18 hours". Derek leaned over and kissed her gently on the lips and said, "you are my amazing and oh so beautiful wife and I love you with all of my heart/
Penelope looked down at their daughter and said, "she's beautiful isn't she"?, Derek said, "that she is, she looks like her momma", Penelope said, "I can see some of her daddy in her too, she has your little nose and chin for sure" causing Derek to beam with pride.
They sat there side by side laughing and talking for a while before Penelope handed the baby over to him, he put her in her bassinette and then joined his wife on the bed. He wrapped his loving arms around her and said, "rest my love, you're exhausted" she blew out a tired breath and said, "a nap does sound good handsome" as she closed her eyes.
Derek kissed the top of her head and said, "I always have been and I always will be hypnotized by you baby girl, now and forever" he then rested his head against hers and closed his eyes, quickly joining her in a much needed and much deserved nap.
