Chapter 2: Whole New Worlds
Izuku and Darth Gohl made it to the planet Moraband to start Izuku's training. Once they exited the interceptor Izuku was astonished to see a red desert planet. He was on an alien planet.
Darth Gohl then walked up to Izuku. "We have a few things to talk about." Izuku turned around wondering what he was talking about. "We have to discuss training." The apprentice started grinning and asked what should he do first.
"First you shall only refer to me as Master. Secondly, I will teach you how to wield a lightsaber and some Sith abilities. Thirdly, you will learn the history of the Sith and Jedi as well as Aurebesh, the alphabet used out here. Fourthly, you will no longer go by Izuku anymore from today forth you are Nix. Finally, you will take a final test at the end." Izuku then bowed his head in reverence and said, "Whatever you say, Master. I will do my best to succeed in this final test."
The Sith Lord patted Nix's head softly. "Good, the first thing you must learn is the Sith Oath. It is the words you will live by from now on. You will say the Oath every morning when you wake up and before you go to sleep. And now the Oath, say it with me."
"Peace is a lie, there is only Passion.
Through Passion, I gain Strength.
Through Strength, I gain Power.
Through Power, I gain Victory.
Through Victory, I break my chains.
The Force shall free me."
"Now that is out of the way. We can work on your next bit of training." He started to lift a group of boulders with one hand and dropped them. He then asked Nix to do the same thing. "But that's impossible I can't lift those boulders." Darth Gohl told the boy to remember the Oath and to use his feeling to empower him.
He closed his eyes and started to remember all the things his classmates and teachers did. 'I will prove them wrong. I am not useless. I will break my chains.' he thought while lifting the same boulders as his Master.
"Good... Good... keep it up. Once you can't do it anymore find me." Darth Gohl ordered and walked away. Nix dropped the boulders after an hour of using the Force. So as ordered looked for Darth Gohl.
Darth Gohl was meditating in the middle of a room in the Sith Temple. The room was practically all black with red lines decorating the walls with two mats on the ground.
"One hour not bad. Now join me in meditation. Unbottle any emotions you hide, for they give you power."
Nix sat on the cushion and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath in and out. Waiting for his next orders he thought about how he will pay back everyone who wronged him.
Darth Gohl felt the pain of his Apprentice radiating off him. He hasn't felt such anger and hatred in his life. It felt exhilarating to be in the presence of such a pure connection to the Dark Side.
"Now on to the next lesson Apprentice. You must learn to hide your connection to the Dark Side."
Nix suddenly opened his eyes in shock. "Why do I have to hide, Master? If I have this power shouldn't I show it so no one will challenge me?"
His Master started to laugh. As he was calming down he kneeled in front of his Apprentice.
"I will give you a quick history lesson before we continue. Thousands of years ago the Sith ran an empire on this planet. They fought against the Galactic Republic which was protected by the Jedi Order. This lead to a war between the Sith and Jedi. Eventually, a Sith Lord named Darth Bane believed the Sith will collapse due to their greed. So he started the "Rule of Two" a condition that there will only be a Master and an Apprentice. But, we are the backup plan in case the first pair fails, so we must hide our presence."
Izuku looked ashamed and nodded. "How does one mask their presence?"
"This is a trick used to hide from Jedi. It works by using the Force to give a calming aura. It is like a mask for people who use the Dark Side. First, you must clear your mind and be one with the Force. Then you let the Force wrap you in itself. Finally, don't let your emotions overwhelm it, or else it will shatter. You will be practicing this for an hour after you lift boulders until you can't."
Both sat across each other, taking deep breaths and hiding in the Force. After an hour or two they noticed it was a night out. So they looked for some sleeping quarters before going to bed.
Meanwhile Melissa and Master Met just made it to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. They landed in the hanger where droids can be seen maintaining starfighters or Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters taking off on missions.
Melissa was surprised by how advanced the technology was on this planet. They used holograms to communicate, droids with some form of A.I., and ships that travel lightyears in seconds.
"Come this way young one we have some people to meet. We are meeting with the Jedi Council. They are the most powerful Jedi Masters in the Jedi Order."
Melissa followed the Jedi into a large room with 12 people sitting in a circle. Some were alien others looked human. Behind them were windows that showed the planet's surface. A planet that is covered in skyscrapers and flying cars.
She and Master Met stood in the middle of the room. Everyone was staring at her quietly judging how she might act. But Melissa stayed calm and quiet until one of them spoke.
"What is your name young one? Mine is Master Yoda." asked a small green old man with long pointed ears.
"Melissa Shield, sir. I am 8 years old from a planet called Earth. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said into a respectful bow.
"I am Master Mace Windu, I will pose a quick test before we continue forward. Master Met can you please step out for a bit?" asked an African looking man
He pulled out a tablet of some sort and asked her to say what she sees on the tablet. It went from a ship to a gun, to a person, and finally a cup.
The Council then called Master Met back into the room. She stood behind Melissa as the Council prepared to reveal what is to be done with Melissa.
"We have decided. We will allow Melissa to become a Padawan Learner. She has a strong connection to the Force. But, you will not be trained like the other Padawan Learners due to your age. You will be trained by Master Met until you are knighted."
Melissa respectfully bowed and thanked the Masters for allowing her to become a Padawan. Then hugged Master Met for meeting her on I-island.
After they said goodbye to the Council Master Met showed Melissa her room. It was a small room with a futon for sleep and a pillow to meditate on. The only color Melissa can see in the room is a light tan.
Master Met then showed Melissa where they will train. It was another circular room, similar to the Council Room but smaller.
"We will practice basic use of the Force daily as well as basic lightsaber forms. But, first I will teach you the Jedi Code. You will live your life by the Code. Please repeat after me:"
"There is no Emotion, there is Peace.
There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge.
There is no Passion, there is Serenity.
There is no Chaos, there is Harmony.
There is no Death, there is the Force."
"You will memorize the Code by repeating it each day before you get out of bed to when you go to sleep. Here we will practice focus because Jedi must stay focused or they will be consumed by their emotions and fall to the Dark Side. You will practice focus by lifting a ball for as long as you can for an hour"
They then walked to the Jedi Archives run by Madame Jocasta. Madame Jocasta was an old lady with light tan robes. She helped other Jedi look for information.
"Now onto the next part of your training. You will be studying Jedi history. Every day you will spend an hour in the Archives reading the history of the Jedi Order. During the hour I will have Madame Jocasta teach you to read and write Aurebesh"
"What is the Dark Side master? Can they also use the Force?" Melissa asked. The Jedi Master went to eye level with her new Padawan. "The Force is energy young one. The Dark Side is the dark aspect of the Force. The people who use the Dark Side are called the Sith. You will read more about them tomorrow when you read the history of the Jedi Order."
Melissa couldn't wait to start but it was very late. Melissa went back to her room. She just noticed how empty the room was. It felt very minimalist almost like a monk.
She went to bed thing how lucky she was. She gave up on being a hero and devoted herself to helping her dad in Support. Now she can help more people of different species too.
