I hope everyone enjoys reading this!
Within the walls of the Circle of Magi it was forbidden for a Templar to become involved romantically with any one of the mages but Cullen Rutherford was in a relationship with one.
The mage was a man named Harry Potter, he was in his early twenties and had been taken to the Circle of Magi when he had been eighteen years old. He had black messy short hair, had beautiful green eyes, wore glasses, and had a unique scar on his forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt.
It had started out as curious and cautious looks between them both whenever they had passed each other by, soon followed by awkward flirting when they had been alone. Until one day Cullen had taken the mage Harry Potter away to a room in the tower where he knew that no one ever went and confessed his romantic feelings to the young mage and kissed the other man on the lips.
Things had then shortly developed quickly for them both.
Stolen kisses between duties, make out sessions, they had even had made love to each other. Every time they did anything together, they would be somewhere where they were certain they would not be found out.
They had fallen in love and though what they were doing was dangerous if they were ever caught while they were alone together, they had been happy...or at least as happy as a person could be while living in the Circle of Magi.
One night it seemed that their luck had finally run out for the both of them for they were called individually to speak with the people of authority in the tower.
They hadn't been caught but it had been close and one night when they met alone together Harry was all seriousness but there was a sort of sad look in his eyes as he looked at Cullen.
"What's wrong Harry?" Cullen asked Harry.
Harry didn't answer for a moment.
"We can't do this anymore Cullen…I love you but this has to stop"
Cullen didn't protest, he knew of the risks and the risks for Harry were greater than for him.
"I…I…understand" he said and he did understand, he knew that there was a chance Harry would be forced to become a Tranquil if they continued their relationship. The Rite of Tranquility was the worst fate imaginable for a mage, the worst punishment and Cullen did not want it to happen to Harry. He didn't want Harry to be stripped of all emotion, magic and free will.
Harry kissed Cullen and Cullen kissed Harry back. The kiss was short…too short for Cullen's liking but it had to be that way.
Cullen wanted to hold Harry in his arms, to comfort him somehow but he knew that there was nothing he could say or do that could make anything better.
From then on Harry and Cullen pretended that they had never been romantically involved and returned back to how things were before they began their relationship. Neither man was happy with this but it was the way how things had to be.
