(Vincent's Pov)
"DON'T YOU HI ME VINCENT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" I hear her yell and I pulled the phone back from my ear a bit and I sighed.
"I was stupid I know… I know, I was just angry and it-."
"Angry doesn't cut it, we could have talked you know that." She says.
"I just… I don't know any more I know it was dumb, I should think things out." I tell her.
"Yea you think… where are you now?" She asked and I looked around.
"A bridge, I don't know I just drove." I muttered.
"Meet me at the Motel, you and I are going to talk face to face, I don't care you need to talk these things out, our glad the cops didn't chase your dumbass." She says and I nod in agreement.
"Yea… ok I'll um… how you going to get there?" I asked.
"I'll walk."
"No, it's late."
"Then I'll ask my dad to take me, or even Duck, just get there and I'll meet you there." She says.
"Ok… yea." I muttered and I hung up and called Brody again.
"Vincent." I hear Brody say.
"Hey um… sorry for scaring you with all that I um… I don't have a proper excuse for what I did, but I'm sorry." I tell her as I drive this time going the speed limit.
"Your outburst has picked up quick on social media, they're asking us questions now." She says.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean… I mean I just… fuck." I try to speak but I have nothing to say.
"Vincent if you want, I can take some time and we can just talk, you know Ruby and Omar would come too if you need them." She says.
"No, no it's fine I um…. Clementine is going to tear me a new one so." I explain.
"Clementine? The girl from the photo?" She asked.
"Yea she uh… she was the one who called me. When I asked you to give me ten minutes… she uh… she was the one who called." I say and I drove more.
"She's a good person?" She asked.
"Yea, she's really good, nice, she uh she's the reason I'm staying in Georgia actually, she's sweet." I tell her.
"Seems like you have a crush on her."
"NO! I mean… no she's just a friend, I uh… honestly don't want her to be involved in this… hell me even staying here and hanging out with her I guess I already brought her in this mess." I ramble off and I sighed.
"Do you trust her though?" She asked.
"Yea, I do trust her." I drove more and more and finally got to the motel and saw a truck.
"I'm going to let you go Brody, I'll call you later." I tell her.
"Alright, just call me when you need to talk about anything." She tells me and we both hung up. I step out the car and I see Clementine run out the truck and she slammed into me and hugged me tightly.
"You stupid fucking idiot." She says and I hug her back then I see Duck come out of his truck and I look at him.
"I heard you on the radio, everything good now?" He asked.
"Yea I just… I hate people like that, that lie about abuse and stuff when it's not true, not saying other people are lying but I know she was." I tell him and he nods.
"You good Clem? Dad want's me back."
"Yea, you can head back, thanks for the lift." She tells him, they hug and he leaves and I look back to Clem as she looked to me, well more so glared at me.
"I…. I am sorry." I tell her and she sighs as she hugs me again.
"Let's just talk about it ok." She says and I nod as we go into the motel room and I take a seat at the desk while she sits on my bed.
"Anything you want to talk on?" She asked.
"She lied because she was jealous, she lied because she wanted to be the victim." I say what's on my mind and I looked to Clem.
"Jealous that you're making friends outside of your group?" She asked.
"I don't know, maybe, I just know it because I left because of her, she was just demanding but she goes out and cheats and I have to be ok with it because if I make a peep about it, she would get mad and it pissed me off so I just wanted to take a break from all of it, from her and everything." I tell Clementine the whole truth. I couldn't lie to her.
"But you shouldn't have done what you did, you could have gotten others hurt, you could have been hurt, you could have gotten into an accident and then what?" She asked.
"I don't know, I guess I just…. Your mom thinking, I was a bad guy and not wanting me to hang around you because she didn't get my side of the story and I know I would have yelled at her and I didn't want to because at the time I knew that, that would have been wrong… I was angry and I acted like a god damn idiot I know I did and I regret it, it's not an excuse and I'm not trying to make one out of this." I tell Clementine and she looked at me.
"Have you thought about maybe talking to a therapist at any point?" she asked.
"I wanted to but if news got out about it then people would have made things up… I wanted to talk about things since my grandfather passed away because he was the one, I could talk to, he really was like a second father to me." I say and looked to the floor a bit and I sighed as I rubbed my neck.
"I told him everything and he would help me out the best way that he could, he helped me with my father and when he died, I just couldn't talk to anyone." I tell her.
"You have me, you don't have to tell me everything, you could talk to a therapist and just…. Just talk it out with someone, and don't do anything so stupid like what you just did tonight." She says and I nod.
"I know, and I'm sorry for causing you and anyone else trouble." I tell her and she looked at me and I smiled a bit.
"Thanks, for talking with me… I will consider the therapist thing or just talking with you… or Brody, Omar… Ruby." I tell her and she nods.
"Thank you." She says and I nod as I take a breath and I think a bit.
"Soo, what do your parents think? I'm guessing they heard?" I asked and she nodded.
"My mom feels bad, because like you said she didn't know your side, and she said she should have known better than to just… believe one side of the story, and my father well he agrees with you and he said that if you wanted to talk to him than you could…. Though knowing him he would make lots of dad jokes to try and make you laugh." She says and I chuckled.
"I still am sorry for scaring you and even Brody, I just don't know what else to say on this matter." I simply tell her and lean back in the chair a bit. We sat in silence for a bit and I looked to the time.
"You have to go home, uh school." I tell her.
"No, we have the rest of the week off, teachers have a meeting and holiday, weird right?" she asked and I laughed a bit.
"Yea. Really weird…. Um but your mom and dad might be worried."
"No, they know I'm here I told them and they know." She says and I nod.
"I uh… don't have much to offer I have some waters in the fridge." I tell her and she nods as I go and hand her one and I got myself one as well.
"You still coming to the game?" She asked.
"If you want me to, yea I'll still come." I say and she nods.
"That would be great." I hear her say and I take a drink.
"Then I'll be there." I tell her. I looked to my phone and saw a post about me.
"Tonight, is eventful from what we heard on the news and we would like to say the Minerva will be held responsible for her actions on the accusation she made of Vincent, and if he want's to take any legal actions then we will not stop him from doing so on this matter. If you are reading this Vincent, we are sorry we didn't know she would make that type of comment about you, we know you would never do anything like that, as for her other comments that were made, we are sorry we didn't step in when we should have, we didn't think it would go this far." I read and I sighed a bit and looked to Clem who looked to me worried and I rubbed my neck.
"Nothing important just uh…. Things posted up." I say and she nods and I sighed as I set my phone on the desk and I looked to her once more.
"You said you had the rest of the week off, besides the game, correct?" I asked and she nods.
"Yea why?" She asked as I thought a bit and looked to her.
"I uh… was thinking that maybe you and I could go into Atlanta for a bit? Not stay or anything just a day out and about." I explained to her and she thought a bit on the request.
"I would have to ask my father but I would like that." She says and I nod at this. I looked at the time and sighed as I got up and she looked to me.
"I um… tired and stuff, I'll take the floor." I tell her.
"No this is your room." She says and I hold a hand up.
"It's fine Clem."
"No… we can share, it won't be bad." She says and I think and I sighed as I nod a bit. I then went and grabbed some clothes to sleep in and I took a shower. I looked at the wall a bit and slicked my hair back as the water hit me and I shake my head just a bit. I finished my shower and dried myself up and put on my boxers and I walked out as I dried my hair a bit.
"Well didn't think I'd see you like this." I hear Clementine says and I chuckled at this.
"Sorry, it's just a routine I've had." I tell her as I grabbed a shirt and put it on.
"Oh no worries, you do you." She says and I nod and I take a seat on the bed.
"I'm sorry that I yelled at you." She says and I turned to look at her.
"Oh no you had every right to be mad at me, I was an idiot and I'm surprised that I didn't get arrested… I know I was an idiot for doing what I did, hell if you hit me, I wouldn't object to it." I say to her and she looked to me and I smiled a bit at her.
"Still, I was just… scared, I mean hell we barely know each other." She looked at me as I looked to her.
"I'm glad that you care enough for that, I'm surprised myself, I don't know but uh hey we should go to bed it's late and I know we're both tired." I tell her and she nods. I go and turn the lights off and put the AC on a bit to cool the room down. I got under the covers as did she but I made sure I had one cover below me. I looked to the ceiling a bit before I closed my eyes to fall asleep at least. It wasn't long till I woke up again and I felt a weight on my chest. I looked down to see Clementine with her head on top of my chest as she slept and I couldn't help but smile a bit at this. I slowly move to try and not wake her up but of course that failed and she woke up and looked around the room a bit.
"What time is it?" She asked and I looked to the clock and sighed.
"Five in the morning… want to go out for breakfast?" I asked and she nods a bit and I get up as she does. I go and get me some clean clothes and I looked at my phone to see some notifications on social media platforms and I just shut my phone off and I look at her as she put her shoes on. I grabbed my keys and wallet and stretched a bit from tiredness and I looked at her as I opened the door. We went to my car after I locked the door up and we got in the car and I drove to the diner and we were sat at a booth and I smile as Bonnie came up to us.
"Well, hello you two how are you?" Bonnie asked and I smiled.
"Doing ok." I tell her and she looked at me.
"Heard you on the radio, I'm sorry for what happened." She says and I nod.
"It's fine um, but I don't want to talk about it." I tell her and she nods.
"I'm sorry so, the usual for both of you?" She asked and we both nodded to her as she wrote it down and left to put the order in. I looked back to Clementine as she smiled at me and I smiled back.
"So how do you feel?" Clementine asked and I think.
"I'm ok… as can be just… can't really explain it you know?" I asked and she nods then I hear my phone go off and I looked to see it was Brody.
"Oh, hold on." I say and answer the phone.
"Vincent how are you?" I hear her ask.
"Hey Brody, I'm ok, what about you?" I asked and looked to Clementine who looked at her phone. I know it was rude for me to answer my phone but Brody would have worried more.
"I'm fine, so guess what?" She asked.
"Uh, what?" I asked.
"Well, how would you feel if we came to visit you?" She asked.
"I uh, well that would be nice but uh, who is we?" I asked.
"Louis, Ruby, Omar, Marlon, Mitch, Aasim, and I… oh and Sophie along with Tenn. and Willy." She says.
"I uh, yea that... that would be great actually but I uh, don't exactly have a place for all of you to stay." I explained.
"Don't worry about it, we can book rooms at a motel, we looked at one called the Motor Inn." She says and I cough a bit.
"Well, uh, ok than uh, when will you all be coming?" I asked.
"We will land in about two hours; we just got to the airport and have to wait." She explained.
"Oh uh, so a spur of the moment thing?" I asked and I looked up to see Clementine looking at me a bit worried and I shook my head no as to tell her it's nothing bad.
"Well, no not really we had been planning to go to Georgia anyway, but right now Minnie has been acting up and we just needed a break… I can see why you wanted to travel the states." She says sounding tired and I felt bad.
"I uh... yea I can show you guys around a bit uh, my friend Clementine is an excellent tour guide." I say and she hits my leg playfully and I chuckled at this. I finish up my conversation with Brody and we both hang up just in time for our food to arrive and I grabbed my drink and I looked to Clementine.
"So, what's going on, if I may ask?" Clementine asked and I look to her as I set my drink down.
"Brody and the others are coming to Georgia; Minnie is just finally getting to them is all." I tell her and she nods.
"Alright, after what happened last night I can see why, but did they fire her?" She asked.
"I'll ask that when they get here, I don't want that to be a phone conversation." I explained to her and I ate some of my food.
"That's understandable, though now with almost the whole band coming here there isn't going to be any peace and quiet in all honesty." She says and I sighed.
"Yea I didn't think on that." I muttered and she laughed a bit at this.
"But it would be good for you to hang around your friends." She says and I looked to her.
"I mean I suppose… I would like to hang out with you more." I admitted.
"Really?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yea why not?" I asked.
"I mean wouldn't you want to hang around your friends?" She asked.
"Don't get me wrong I would love to hang out with them but I would like for some time to hang with you." I tell her truthfully.
"I see… well we can all hang out for now and I could just spend the night with you so we could hang out more." She says and I nod in agreement at this. We finished the food and I pay for it and leave a tip for Bonnie. We got up and went into my car and drove around for a bit in the town.
"What do you want to do today?" I asked.
"Want to head to the park again?" She asked and I think and nod as I drive in the direction of the park. Once there we got out and sat by the lake and I watched the ducks in the pond for a bit. We would talk a bit about anything, how her practice is going and how school is as well. I hear my phone go off again and I looked to it to see Ruby's name and I answer is.
"Hey Ruby." I say.
"Hey Vincent, we just wanted to let you know that we've landed and will get the rooms, do you want to meet up somewhere?" She asked and I look at Clementine.
"Yea meet us at the Garcia batting cages, we can all go out for lunch by then if you all are fine with that?" I asked and I heard Ruby talking to the others.
"Yea that sounds great so we will meet up around noon?" She asked.
"Yep, that sounds good." I say and look to my watch and saw it was eleven now, so I got up after Ruby hung up and I look at Clementine.
"Batting practice?" I asked and she nods as we head to the batting cages and I pay for our time. Clementine and I then went to our section and I let her go first. She got a few swings in and I smiled as she looked to me and chuckled as she made another swing getting a foul ball.
"You're pretty good Clem." I hear and look to see Javier and I looked to Clem again.
"Thanks Javier." She says as she walked out and I took my turn. It took me a few tries before I could get a good hit after a few more tries at the bat we switched again and I watched Clementine as she got some many more good hits. I then heard someone an I turn to get tackled by someone and I look to see it was Willy along with Tenn.
"Holy hell." I say as I get up and hug both the boys.
"Well, seems more fans are seeing him." Javier says and I shake my head.
"No, they're basically like my little brothers." I say and rub their heads.
"How was the flight?" I asked.
"It was fun, Louis got us on those private planes his dad owns and it was all nice inside." Willy says and I chuckled and looked to Tenn.
"You good bud?" I asked and he nodded.
"Hmm, still quiet around new people." I say and he nods.
"Well don't worry." I say and take him over to Clementine who exited the cage.
"This is my friend Clementine, Clementine this is my little brother Tenn." I introduced and he holds his hand out and Clementine smiles and shakes his hand.
"Nice to meet you." Tenn. says and she nods.
"Nice to meet you too, Vincent has told me a lot about you." She tells him and I smiled at her.
"He has?" He asked and she nods.
"He told me you really like to draw, maybe I could see them one day?" She asked and he nods and smiles and I looked up to see the others.
"Hey guys." I wave to them and they wave back as they come over.
"Clem these are my old bandmates, Brody, Ruby, Mitch, Louis, Marlon, Omar, and Sophie." I say as I pointed to them.
"Guys this is Clementine." I introduced them all and they shook hands.
"Nice to meet you Clementine, finally good to actually meet you in person." Sophie says and I looked to her.
"Thank you, it's nice to meet you all as well." She says and I looked around as I hear someone call out to Clementine and I see Duck, Sarah, Mariana, and Gabe as well.
"Oh, hey guys what's up?" Clem asked and I looked to my friends.
"So, just friends?" Ruby asked as she nudged my stomach a bit and I look down at her.
"Yes, just friends." I stated.
"So, she is single?" Louis asked and I nodded at this.
"I mean yea but she might have a crush on someone at school so I wouldn't try anything." I explained to him and he looked to me and shrugged.
"I like the challenge." He says and I don't know why but I felt a bit angry at that, but I didn't let it show.
"Anyway, what do you guys want to eat my treat." I say and I see Clem look to me as did her friends.
"I heard there was a restaurant down in Atlanta that was really good." Louis suggested and he shows it to me on his phone.
"I uh suppose but isn't that a bit fancy?" I asked as I looked to him.
"I mean yea but we can hang around in Atlanta for a bit as well, just make it a day trip." He says and I rubbed my neck as I thought a bit.
"I uh, sure we can do that, I just need to change." I muttered.
"Alright, we can all go do that." Louis says and I looked to Brody as she looked to me and I rubbed my neck more.
"Alright let's meet up at the motel and we can all head out." I say and they head back to their car and I looked to Clem and her friends.
"I uh... would you guys like to come as well?" I asked.
"No, we don't want to bother, besides my dad is making his famous ribs and I got to help with that." Duck says. And I nod and I look to the others.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind tagging along." Gabe says and Mariana looked at him about to say something but she stopped. I looked to him a bit and he looked back at me.
"I uh." Sarah spoke and I looked at her, she looked a bit nervous.
"You can come if you want Sarah, it's ok." I say to her and she nods.
"Sure, it sounds like fun I just need to call my dad." She says and I nod at this. We got everything settled and we went separate ways as I said I would pick Sarah and the others up after we got dressed, I took Clementine to her home and I rubbed my neck a bit as I saw her parents walk out the house and I sighed.
"Hey it's fine, you can stay in the car if you want." She says and I nod as I do so. She went up to her parents and explained something to them and they looked to me and I looked to the side a bit then to my phone. It was a few minutes later when I heard the door open and I looked to see Clementine getting in and I got a good look at her outfit.
"Nice dress." I say and she hits my shoulder playfully.
"I don't wear dresses much so soak it up." She says and I chuckled at this.
"it's a sight to see though, but if you feel uncomfortable wearing it." I tried to speak but she stopped me.
"I like wearing dresses, when I want to, and right now a dress feels good to wear, so don't worry." She says and I nod at this as I go to Sarah's home to pick her up. She was also in a nice dress but nothing fancy just something simple. She got in the back seat and I drove to the Garcia's home. When there Mariana and Gabe both came out wearing simple clothing that was comfortable and they both got in.
"Alright, to the Motel so I can change, the others should be there as well." I say and they all nodded at this as I drove off again. It took a bit to get to the Motor Inn and I parked my car near my door. The others were already there and I got out and headed into my room, and I looked to see Brody coming up to me and I let her in so I could change and we could talk.
"You good?" Brody asked and I nod.
"Yea, I am, trust me." I tell her.
"I just want to make sure you are." She says and I nod.
"Thanks." I tell her truthfully; I was grateful that she wanted to talk to me on this but then again, I was upset with myself that she was worried about me. I grabbed one of my nice dress shirts and I took my other shirt off and put it on.
"You know we're here to help, we should have stepped in the moment Minnie said those things." She says and I come up and hug her.
"Hey it's ok, trust me I understand why you didn't want to be involved and I do not blame you or any of you guys for not talking on it, in all honesty you shouldn't have to it's mine and Minerva's issues, not yours." I tell her.
"But I still should have said something." She says and I cup her face and make her look at me.
"No you shouldn't have, I don't want you involved in this, I don't want you to deal with any of this, I know you Brody you are a very kind and gentle girl and when you get mad you are hell on wheels I know how protective you are when it comes to friends and family… now I'm tell you, I do not want you involved, I will handle this, and if I need help I promise I will call you when I need it." I tell her and she nods a bit and I smile at her as I let her face go and I grabbed my tie and tightened it around my neck. Once done we headed out and I see Clementine and Louis talking and Clementine turned to look at me. She then came up to me and fixed my tie a bit and I smiled at this.
"Alright, we can head out now." Marlon says and I nod as we all got in the cars and I drove to Atlanta. We got to the restaurant and parked the cars next to each other and I got out along with the others. We all headed inside and it seemed that Louis made a reservation so we were seated in the party area, Clementine sat on my right side and Brody sat on my left, then it was Marlon, Mitch, Aasim, Ruby, Sarah, Mariana, Gabe, Willy, Tenn., Sophie and Louis sat next to Clementine. Once seated we were given menus and we gave them our drink orders.
"So how did you and Vincent meet up?" Louis asked and I looked to him.
"He made a stop at my Grandparent's pharmacy shop when I had my shift there." She explained.
"Oh? So, nothing special." He stated.
"Uh, no just normal day at work for me. I told him about some places he could go visit while he was here and the Motor Inn for a night's stay but it turned into more than a night." She says and I nod at this.
"What made you want to stay longer?" Louis asked and I look at him.
"Nice small quiet town, plus I wanted to look around check out the scenery and all, it's a nice place in all honesty, especially the hiking trails, got to see a few chipmunks here and there." I explained.
"Seems nice, maybe Clem should show us around hu?" He asked and she nodded.
"Sure, if that's fine with everyone else." She says and I nod at this and I looked to the menu a bit and they come back with our drinks. We all ordered something off the menus and handed them back to the waitress as she left to put our orders in and I looked to Clem.
"So, do you like baseball?" Louis asked her.
"Love it, I play at my school hoping I can get a scholarship from it too." She says.
"Oh, that's interesting, what do you want to study?" He asked.
"Not entirely sure really, on one hand I want to play professional baseball, but I would go for my degree in sports medicine if I went that route." She explained.
"What about you three what do you want to study?" Ruby asked the others.
"I want to be a writer or photographer." Sarah says to her and I nod at this.
"I want to work with music in some way always have." Mariana says.
"Oh well I can help you out if you want." I suggested.
"Well, I want to work with gaming." Gabe interrupted us and I nod a bit at this.
"Those are all interesting choices; I hope you all get to have your dream jobs." Ruby says and I nod in agreement. We talked for a bit on anything we could think of and I talked to Mariana about helping her out with music if she wanted that to be her job. It took a bit for the waitress to come with our food and they set it in front of us. I looked to Clementine as she got her plate and I smiled as we all ate and talked for a while.
"So, Vincent are you going to be going back into music?" Gabe asked and I looked to him.
"I uh, don't think I will."
"Come on Vincent we can go back on tour and have fun like old times." Louis says.
"It wouldn't be bad if you came back." Marlon said as well and I rubbed my neck.
"No, I'm good, if I want to go back I will but for now, I'm fine, besides I want to go see my parents at some point." I explained.
"Well, you haven't tried to see them yet, you've been here for a while." Louis says and I look at him and I sighed a bit.
"I just wanted to stay somewhere nice is all." I say to him and he looked to me and I feel a hand on my lap and I looked to see Clementine as she ate her food like it was nothing.
"Oh, come on Vincent, just come back we all miss you." Louis says and I rubbed my neck.
"Louis, let Vincent have some time." Brody says.
"He's not doing anything; he hasn't seen his parent's yet so that can't be an excuse." He says and I looked to him.
"I just want a break is all, look I'll think about going back to the band but right now I'm fine, hell I haven't been stressed out in a long time." I tell them.
"We're all stressed we knew that would happen when we decided to be a band." Louis says and he looked a bit pissed.
"You didn't make it any easier, making us take gigs left and right, going out to parties to keep an image, it just… I couldn't take it any more and then Minerva with her shit I most defiantly couldn't deal with it anymore." I tell him.
"You act like she kept offering you drugs and alcohol." He says and I look at him.
"Wait… did she?" I hear and I look at Brody.
"I don't want to talk about this anymore, I don't want to fight on this, just lets all hang out and have a good time." I say.
"Alright." Louis says dropping the subject and I take a bit of time before we finished our food. I paid for the food and I left a tip as well as we all headed out and just took a walk around the city a bit. I stayed near Clementine and Brody was talking about one of the fans she met.
"Anyway, what else have you been up to Vincent?" Brody asked and I looked at her.
"Nothing really, been hanging out with Clementine here." I say as I point to said girl.
"Have you been having fun?" Brody asked.
"Oh yea, Clementine showed me all the fun places, I like the batting cages, and then there's the park." I tell her.
"Hm, you stopped playing baseball though when… I'm sorry." She says, I know what she was going to say exactly.
"My grandpa would be mad if I didn't play a few rounds once in a while, besides I have time now." I looked to Clementine as she talked to Sarah and we all decided to head back to our cars.
"Well, we will see you at the Motel Vincent." Brody says as she hugs me and I nod as I hug her back. We all left the city and I took Sarah home, then Gabe and Mariana, and lastly, I was heading to Clementine's home.
"Do you want to spend the night with me again?" I asked and I looked to her then to the road.
"If you want me to, I'm ok with that." She says and I nod as I drive more.
"Do you want me to stay?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yea, we could talk and stuff I don't know." I say to her and I looked at her.
"I would… when we can… I would like to go to the park again." I say and she looked at me.
"In the middle of the night?" She asked and I nod at this.
"If that's ok with you." I tell her and she nods.
"As long as we are safe, I'm ok with it." She says and I nod as I get her to her home. I see her dad come out the house as she got out the car. She went over to him and made some hand gestures and I see him look at me and nod at Clementine. She goes into the house and Lee comes up to my car so I step out so as to not be rude to him and he looked to me.
"I'm sorry for what my wife had said yesterday night." He says and I look at him.
"I don't blame her but you shouldn't be apologizing." I tell him.
"I think you deserve it… after what was said on the radio…. I felt bad and well." He tried to say and I look at him.
"I know how parents can get sometimes, you were worried about who your daughter was hanging around with, I understand completely if you had any ill thoughts about me after that, even when I was on, I wouldn't blame you." I tell him honest about what I was saying.
"Is, everything ok?" he asked.
"I think things are fine now." I tell him.
"Clementine talked to you?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yea… yea she did, I don't want her getting involved with all this in all honesty." I tell him.
"I know, but Clementine has a big heart and with that she gets involved with things she didn't want to get involved with in the first place." He explained and I nod at this. Clementine comes out of the house she had changed her clothes and had a bag so I grabbed it for her and placed it in my trunk. I looked back to her father and we shook hands, then Clementine gave him a hug and I opened the door for her t sit in. once I go to my side I started the car up and headed to the Motel and I sighed a bit.
"Dad gave you a talk?" She asked.
"More like an apology that I told him he didn't need to." I tell her and she nods at this.
"I can see how he thinks, especially after last night but he didn't need to apologize." I say and I looked to her then back to the road. We finally get to the Motel and I see the others and I think a bit as I helped Clementine get her bag and we set it in the room and I hear someone knock on the door and I go answer it to see Ruby and Brody.
"Hey, there is a pool in the back want to join us?" Ruby asked and I looked to Clementine.
"Uh I'm ok with that, you?" I asked Clementine and she nods in agreement and I looked back to them.
"We'll be out in a bit." I tell them and they nod as they head out and I closed the door. I turned to see Clementine as she was going through her bag to grab any swim clothes I supposed and I go and lay on the bed a bit.
