(Vincent's Pov)
I woke up to a phone ringing so I sit up from the couch and stretch a bit. I then look around to see it was Clementine's phone that was going off so I look to her then I shake her shoulder gently.
"Clem, Phone ringing." I mutter as she wakes up and I lay my head back a bit on the couch as she grabbed her phone to answer it.
"Hey dad…. No, I haven't been on social media…. Wait what?" She asked then grabbed the remote to the TV and went on YouTube to look at the news channel that was live currently.
"Today we have Minerva here with us on the show to talk about her relationship with her old band 'The Walking Dead' and about her new relationship." The man says and I get up and watch the TV some more with Clementine.
"Well, I just want to say that I'm glad to be here and I also want to point out that I am part of a new band we call ourselves 'Delta', and yes I am in a new relationship with someone but I'm not giving names just yet, they don't want to be in any of this and would like to keep it a private matter at the time." She says and I hear my phone ring and I answer it.
"Are you watching the news?" I hear.
"Yea I am Brody the fuck is she doing?" I asked.
"I have no clue, all I heard was that she got in a new band and now she is in a relationship with someone, Louis said he heard from the meet and greet that Minerva was going to be on the news for a while until your interviews." She explained and I nod as I watched the news more.
"So, since you are in a new relationship you are going to forget Vincent?"
"Oh Yes him and I are old news, I just hope him and his girlfriend are still up for the interview next week."
"Oh, so they are in a relationship?"
"Come on you've seen the new photo that was posted on my old bands Instagram page? Clearly, he looks like he's in love, he gave me that same look when we were together, I have no idea why he keeps denying it."
"That's because I'm not in a relationship you dumb… fucking hell." I sighed as I looked to the TV again.
"Do you know anything about his new partner?"
"Oh yes, her name is Clementine, she's a senior at Macon High School, plays baseball, it's on her social media page, she even linked her Instagram on the photo they first took with Vincent, I can see why he left me for her."
"Wait you think they knew each other before the break?"
"Oh, I know they were, see Vincent wanted to say I was a cheater but I never did, him on the other hand might have while we were still together, hell Clementine has been to one of our concerts and I do believe they met up at one point, but enough about that, let-." I shut the TV off after that and I lean back in the couch and groan a bit.
"Fuuuuuck." I mumbled as I get up from the couch and take the popcorn bowl into the kitchen. I leaned on the counter a bit as I talked to Brody.
"I think we should do the interview early." I tell her.
"I hear you on that, do you need help?" She asked.
"Just… can you come for some sort of support or something, I know Clementine would come but." I tried to explain.
"Yea I can come just tell me when you schedule it is all, we can bring Ruby too." She says and I nod. We both hung up and I head back to the couch and I laid back and looked at the time. I think for a bit and send my address to Brody and invite her and the others over for the day. When that was done, I looked up to Clementine as she rubbed my head a bit and I sighed.
"I'm sorry."
"What for?" She asked.
"Minerva… she didn't need to talk about you, and especially give your information out." I say to her.
"Oh, trust me my mom is probably on that right now, but I did put that stuff publicly on my social medias." She says as she looked at her phone and I looked to the door a bit.
"The uh... the band will be over in a bit just a heads up." I tell her.
"You don't need to tell me, it's your home." She says and I nod.
"Still just so you know." I tell her. While we waited, we went and checked on the chickens and we fed them as well, it was funny to Clementine when one of the chickens decided they would try and chase me around the coop and I could hear her laugh at this. As I tried to get away I ended up falling and some of the chickens came over to get any of the feed that dropped so I get up from my spot and I looked at her as the chicken began to peck at my boots.
"Oh, you think it's funny hu?" I asked and she nods as she covers her mouth as another chicken came up to peck at me and I sighed.
"I think they like you." She says.
"I don't think they do… or at least my boots they don't like." I sighed as I spread out more of the food so they would leave me alone and amazingly enough they did.
"I think they just wanted food." I hear her say as I walked up to her and we closed the coop up and I look at her.
"I think that too, but I still think they don't like me." I say as we go and put the feed up and I looked to Clementine as we hear two cars pull up. And I look to see the band walk out their cars and I waved at them.
"Explain why Vincent has feathers in his hair?" Ruby asked and I just pointed to the chickens.
"Devil Birds." I simply tell her and she laughed.
"Boy I grew up on a farm, they're nice." She says.
"Not these ones they hate me already." I say and she laughed and Brody came up and took some feathers out my hair and I sighed.
"I'm not a little kid." I muttered.
"Sure, you aren't." she says and I move back a bit and looked to the chickens as the rooster decided to do what all roosters do and make that god awful sound.
"I think your rooster is broken." Louis says.
"Whatever, anyway what do you guys think?" I asked as I showed off my new home.
"Looks good, seems like it fits you." Marlon says and I nod. We all head inside and I go get everyone a drink and then I go to grab a new shirt from my car, I take my dirty shirt off and I head inside the house.
"Oh, my aren't you feeling relaxed." I hear and flip Louis off as I put my clean shirt on and go throw the dirty shirt in the washer. I then come over to them.
"So what are we going to do about Minerva?" Mitch asked as I sat on the floor near Clementine.
"Nothing." I tell them.
"What do you mean nothing?" Marlon asked and I look at him.
"That's what I mean, nothing, I mean what can I do?" I tell them.
"Call her out on her shit that's what you're supposed to do Vincent." Mitch says and I look to him then down at the floor as I pull my legs to my chest.
"Trust me I want to get back at her but right now I just… I'm doing the interview at some point I might do it tomorrow or hell even today." I say to them.
"Do it today, just rip it off like a band-aid." Louis says. I then look to him then to everyone else and I sighed a bit and place my head on my knees.
"I just want to know why she's doing this…. Ok… ok we an try for today or tomorrow."
"Alright dude, call them up." Aasim says and I grabbed my phone.
"Would your mom be ok with this?" I asked Clementine as I looked to her.
"I'm sure she will, especially after what Minerva said.
"Alright… alright." I muttered and dialed the number to the radio station.
"WABE News."
"Hey yea this is Vincent, I uh… I was kind of wondering if you guys wanted to do the interview early?" I asked and looked to the others.
"Oh, yea we are actually Minerva wanted to try and do one today we were just about to call you." They said and I stand up.
"I uh… yea sure we could do it today if that's fine with you guys that is." I say and I walked around a bit then looked to the others, Louis giving me a thumbs up.
"Sure, how does five sound?" They asked and I looked at my watch to see that was just two hours away.
"Yea sure, Five sounds great." I tell them. They then hang up and I look at my friends as they looked to me.
"I uh… five tonight." I tell them then sit down on the couch.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Clementine asked and I looked to her and nodded.
"Yea, I'll be fine… but uh… it wouldn't hurt if you all came." I suggested.
"Of course, we will come you idiot." Ruby says and I chuckled a bit at this. We all got ready to head out and I looked to Tenn and Sophie and I rubbed my neck a bit.
"You know you guys don't have to come." I tell them.
"I think we shouldn't especially with how Minerva is acting." Sophie says and I nod a bit.
"Uh well, help yourselves to anything in the fridge or whatever…. Uh the movies are all right there." I tell them as I point to the entertainment center and they nod. Just as I was about to walk out I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked to see Sophie.
"I'm sorry for what Minerva is doing." She tells me.
"Don't be, it's not your fault…. Just relax, ok?" I tell her and she nods a bit and I head to my car where Clementine was waiting. We both get in and I start driving as the others follow me.
"You doing, ok?" Clem asked me and I nod.
"Yea just… I'm taking Louis's advice but it's scary, especially with her… I didn't want to do an interview with her at all because I didn't think she would be this way you know?" I asked.
"Trust me, I had to deal with Gabe and him annoying the hell out of me after we broke up, it's not as bad as yours but I know ex's can get annoying." She explains and I nod in agreement.
"Not that I'm trying to compare the two situations it's just… she's annoying you but also hurting you still even after you both broke it off." She says and I laughed a bit as I see her turning red from embarrassment.
"It's ok Clem." I tell her and she looked at me.
"I think that's the first time you called me that… unless I just wasn't paying attention." She says and we both laughed.
"It's a nice nickname." I say as I drove more.
"I need to give you one than, but I don't think I should call you Vince, I already know someone with that name." She says and I look to see her thinking.
"I don' need a nickname." I tell her.
"I'm still going to think of one." She says and I nod. We all finally get to the WABE News Station where I see Clementine's mom and I sighed a bit as I get out of the car and we all head over to her.
"Woah, the whole band is here." Carly says and I looked to them then her.
"Moral support… mostly." Ruby says to her.
"Well, that will be great, so let's head in and we can get things started up, also remember, no physical fighting at least, we told Minerva the same thing, and if things get to overwhelming we can stop the interview when you ask us to." Carly explained the rules a bit and I nod as we start walking inside the building. It looked a little plain but what do you expect from all this, we were taken to a booth and I looked to Clementine and I rubbed my neck.
"Clementine, you and the others can stay in this room while we talk, you can watch the TV with the live stream we have set up." Her mom explained and they all nod as another News Member takes them to the room and Carly takes me into the room and I see Minerva sitting there. She turns to me and smiled a bit and I just went to the other side of the table and looked to her as Carly took a seat at the far end of the table. We were given Mics, and headsets as well and I put my stuff on and looked to Carly as she gave a thumbs up saying they were live.
"Hello and Welcome to the WABE News, we are also streaming tonight and our two guests are Minerva and Vincent both Ex-Band members of 'The Walking Dead', now we have some set rules that have been explained to both parties and they must follow the rules as well, so let's begin, how are you both doing today?" Carly asked and I looked to Minerva and let her talk FIRST.
"I'm doing just fine thank you Carly." She tells her and looked back to me.
"I am fine as can be thank you." I say.
"Alright, so first question we have for you both is, what exactly happened to cause your relationship to break?" Carly asked and I looked to Minerva.
"I guess I was just a bad boyfriend, probably didn't give her enough time I mean with the gigs and everything we didn't get the time to actually go on dates like a normal couple." I say and I think that's partly true we never did get to spend a lot of time but mostly it was due to her cheating.
"What do you have to say Minerva?"
"I think he's right, he was a bad boyfriend, not enough time either, I mean with him being one of the creators of the band he would have made time for us to just relax… like he's doing now." She says.
"I'm only able to relax because I left."
"And why did you leave the band?" Carly asked and I look to her then to Minnie.
"… Problems… I just had problems." I say.
"Oh, with your drug habit?" Minnie says and I look to her.
"You know I never did drugs." I tell her.
"Oh, but you did, I have a video of you taking drugs." She says and I looked to her then to Carly then to the table and I take a breath.
"Look the video that she has of me is when I had to take my Testosterone shots, I had to take them and they were given to me by my doctor, then they came up with a pill that you only need to just take one and you're all good for a year… those are all they are, hell I have videos of me going month by month of how my voice changed when I was on it everyone has seen them, I never lied to my fans about me being trans." I explained.
"No, I'm talking about this one." She says and shows the clip and it was also on the computer as well.
"Come on Vincent just try it, it won't hurt."
"What the hell is it?"
"It's just something to help you relax man."
"What like Melatonin?"
"Sure man, just like that, try it man you won't regret it."
"I don't know."
"Dude you'll be fine, have I ever lied to you?"
"No, but still."
"Come on just do it once."
"Alright I guess."
"Care to Explain that?" Carly asked and I looked to her then to Minnie. I honestly didn't know what to say really and I gripped my pants a bit.
"I know it looks bad." I tried to say.
"Looks like you're lying about taking drugs, like I said you were."
"That was one god damn time." I say and hit my hand on the table.
"Ok calm down." Carly says.
"Is that the withdraw getting to you?" Minnie asked and I look to her.
"I didn't… I didn't know what it was, I thought it would help me relax ok, but all it did was make me want to, I can't remember, all I know is, is that was the only time." I explained.
"Yet you lied to your other band mates about this." Carly says and I look to her.
"I didn't want them to worry, I didn't want them to think I was a bad person but I swear that was the only time, if you want to talk about a drug addict, you should talk to Minerva, she has videos of herself doing blow on her phone." I tell them.
"He's lying on that, tell me Vincent when was the last time you got your fix… does your new girlfriend know you're just an alcoholic druggie?" Minerva says and I look at her.
"I think we should stop."
"No…. no, I want people to hear this… first off, I am not dating anyone, I'm just a single man wanting to just have some friends that aren't in the band or care if I'm famous, I wanted to relax and leave the band because of you Minerva, you've caused me nothing but fucking misery with the blackmailing, the constant threats, the cheating, everything… for fuck sake I… I'm ashamed to say that I still have feelings for you, the old you not this… you and I were so close when we were in school together, what happened? Was it because I changed to be who I really wanted to be? Were you that ashamed of me that you have to fucking ruin me… you've done it, I mean hell I wanted to ram my car off a bridge when I called in the first time and made myself look like a damn fool on the phone… I've tried to… hurt myself because of you because in my mind I though 'Gee, wouldn't it just be great to see Grandpa again and not deal with all this bullshit'." I say and both the women look at me.
"Vincent."
"NO!" I yelled and looked at her.
"You lied and people believed you…. Without hearing my side… without waiting till this interview and… and it made me just want to punch something or do something…. It makes me hate you and I wanted to be the civil one here, I didn't want to do this interview in the first place because I didn't think I would have to be on the news to call you out on those lies." I tell her and she looked to me.
"You, said I cheated on you, not ONCE have I ever done that, you wanted to say I'm with Clementine, but I'm not…. God forbid if she actually did have feelings for me, or if any woman did for that matter, I still would have stayed with you, but you…. You went after all these guys…. Because they… they had something I didn't." I say and look to her.
"You know it and I know it… when you were pregnant what did I tell you?" I asked her and she looked at me.
"Go on tell them what I told you Brody and Ruby were there to hear it so no point in lying." I tell her and she sighed a bit.
"You asked if you wanted us to take a break… so we could raise the baby." She says.
"Exactly… I was willing to raise another mans child, because I wanted you to be happy… I would have been a great dad; I would have but you never gave me the chance to do that." I tell her.
"Vincent, you have no idea what it was like." She says.
"What it was like? Are you fucking kidding me?" I asked her.
"I didn't want you to stop doing what you loved." She says.
"But you did, here I am, retired from music, I can't preform anymore, you've already screwed my image up who the fuck would want a supposed druggie to work with them… fuck I don't think I could even get a normal job after all this shit." I tell her and she looked down then at me.
"You want to Know another reason I left the band?" I asked her and she looked to me.
"You… You use to be what made me want to write music… when we did our duets together… but you constantly cheated on me… told me that you would tell people I was a drug addict… you use to be my inspiration for my songs because…. Because I thought you were the only one for me, yea it's fucking cheesy to say that but it's what I thought… but now… I can't write anything, I have nothing, and I didn't want to disappoint the fans… not after all the work Louis, Marlon, Brody, Ruby, Aasim, Sophie, Omar and You put into it… I didn't want to ruin it for you guys, and I thought we broke off on at least maybe some good terms but I guess not." I tell her and I lean back a bit in my chair.
"I uh… do you both want to continue?" Carly asked and I looked to her then to Minnie.
"Yes, we can." She says and I nod.
"So, Minerva…. We noticed you started to say all these things when Vincent posted up a photo with a girl… were you jealous?" Carly asked carefully and I looked to Minerva.
"… A little yes I was a little jealous." She says.
"Why, we aren't even dating, I'm not even dating anyone." I tell her.
"You looked happy in that photo… and then the group one, you looked at her just like you use to look at me, you looked so…. You looked like as if you were a blind man seeing for the first time." She says and I looked to her and I didn't say anything.
"Vincent?" Carly asked.
"Hm?" I asked and I looked to her.
"Are you ok?" She asked and I nod.
"Yea… I'm fine… I think I am done… I said what I wanted to say." I tell her and I get up and take the headset off and I walk out the room. I walked out the building and I hear someone call my name as I get to my car. I turned around to see the whole band and Clementine and I looked at them.
"I'm just tired." I say and I get in my car but I don't shut the door.
"Vince." I hear and I look at Clementine.
"I just… want to go home and sleep… I'll drop you off." I tell her and I looked at the front window of the car a bit and I rubbed my neck as she told the others to go ahead and then she got in my car and I was about to turn it on but she stopped me and I looked at her.
"Are you sure you're, ok?" She asked me and I moved my hand down and just looked at the front of the car a bit.
"I am… I just… don't know what else to say."
"After what Minerva said?" She asked and I nodded.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked and I didn't say or move at all.
"Vince?" She asked again and I rubbed my neck.
"You know we are friends, right?" I asked.
"Of course."
"And I don't want to date you." I tell her.
"I know that."
"But not because you aren't pretty, because you are, and you are smart and kind and…. Everything a guy could ask for… it's just… I can't explain it." I tell her and she made me look at her.
"Vince, I'm your friend, I'm not looking to be in a relationship with you if that's what you're worried about, Minerva just makes things up from what I heard and saw today especially… and you still have some feelings for her, that won't go away for a long time, trust me it took a while before I lost all feelings for Gabe when we dated, and he still might have feelings for me." She says and I chuckled a bit as she let my face go and I sighed a bit.
"I'm sorry she brought you into this, I guess she was just mad because I was happy when I wasn't with all of them… don't get me wrong I miss the band dearly and I would love to hang out with them and still write music like I use to… but things are just complicated… especially after that video you all saw… I don't think even Brody would want to talk to me anymore." I say.
"What happened in that video isn't who you ae today, you made a mistake, I know that, and I think they do too." She tells me and I rubbed my face a bit.
"How did the others react?" I asked.
"They couldn't say anything, I don't think they wanted to after that video…. I think Mitch was pissed." She says and I groan.
"Not at you, I think it was because of the guy in the video giving it to you." She explained and I looked to her.
"You know we all went to a school for troubled kids, right?" I asked.
"Yea, but I didn't think much on it." She says.
"Mitch… he grew up around drugs… he actually was really good when it came to chemistry because of it… he hates the stuff because people would ask him if he could make some or give them some it was peer pressure that he didn't give into… I would understand if he was mad at me… for God's sake I barely remember doing that stuff." I say to her.
"Let's get you home." She says.
"I got to take you-."
"No, Carly said it was fine for me to go with you… I think she understands but I do have to call her when we get there and all that parenting stuff." She says and I chuckled a bit and I start the car up and drive. We kept quiet on all of this and I leaned my arm on the window as I drove to my home, I hear Clementine's phone go off and she looked to it and I looked to her and then my phone starts to ring so I answer it.
"Hey." I say as I put both hands on the wheel.
"Hey Vincent, Tennessee was wondering if AJ and him could spend the night at your house." Sophie says and I think a bit.
"I uh... have to ask his parents."
"Don't worry Lee just texted me saying it's ok." Clem says and waves her phone a bit.
"Ok… uh I'll go get him than, are… are you guys staying over too?" I asked.
"If you want us to, but we have to head out in the morning, we have auditions coming up." Sophie says and I nod.
"Ok… that's cool, we can just have a small party." I joked and I started to drive to Clementine's house.
"Alright, well everyone is here now, we will see you in a bit." She says and we both hang up the phones and I looked to the road. When we finally got to Clementine's house, I saw Lee and AJ standing at the door and I get out the car along with Clementine and I walked up to them and I looked to Lee as Clementine took AJ to the car.
"Everything alright?" He asked.
"I think so." I tell him truthfully.
"You know, I was accused of something that sent me to prison." He says and I look to him.
"Now, I know the situations aren't the same exactly but I know how things are when it comes to people… so you made a mistake so what, life throws things at you and you learn from it." He says and I nod.
"Vincent, trust me… things will get better in the end but don't get down because of it… get back up, you've done so good so far, right?" He asked.
"Yes sir."
"Then there you go… just take it slow, things will pass over and it will just be history, I mean not everyone remembers all the things from the past." He says and I nod.
"Thank you, sir."
"Call me Lee." He says and I nod and he pats my back a bit.
"Thank you, Lee." I say to him.
"Well, I'd best let you seems AJ is excited to spend another day with his new friends." He says and I nod as I wave to him and I head to the car. I drove all the way to my home and AJ jumped out the car as Tenn. and Willy came out the house and they went to go look at the chickens and I think for a bit.
"Hey you think your friends would come over for today?" I asked.
"Sure, I can ask them." She says and I nod as she goes to call them and I take a breath and I head into the house to look at the others as they sat in the living room. I heard the door open and saw Clementine come in and I rubbed my neck a bit.
"Sooo." Louis says as he looked to me and I looked away.
"Go on, yell at me, do something." I said as I looked to them and they looked back at me.
"Why?" Mitch asked and I looked to him.
"I.. I don't know." I say and look to them.
"Vincent… the guy in the video… did you really know him?" Brody asked and I nodded.
"When I was still with Minerva, she introduced us to each other… I can't remember his name anymore because… he… left-." I tried to say what I wanted to but I knew the answer and sighed as I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a drink. I came back and looked up to see my friends looking at me.
"He must have been the father when… you know…. It's over now anyway, I'm done with it." I wave it off then there is a knock on the door and Clementine answers it and her friends come in. we all decided to order some pizza due to the younger boys asking many times and we all went outside since there was still some light out due to the interview not being that long anyway. Clementine, Duck and I decided to have a look around the farm a bit as the others talked.
"The hell is this?" I asked as I kicked a big white block.
"Dad told me it was a salt lick at one point." Duck says.
"Yea but don't lick it, it's gross." Clementine says and I look at her and cross my arms.
"Did you lick it?" I asked and she looked away and I smiled.
"I don't know." She says quietly and I chuckled as AJ and Tenn. ran up to us.
"She did and then she made me lick it, thinking it was like potato chips." AJ blabs out to us.
"You little." Clementine says and chases after him and they are both laughing and I laughed at this as well.
"I heard what happened… well I saw the stream…. You doing good?" Duck asked as we walked more.
"I guess… not sure what will happen tomorrow but right now I am as ok as I can get." I tell him.
"HEY PIZZA IS GETTING COLD!" Louis yells and we all head over to get some. I leaned back on the wall of the house as we all ate inside and Louis was telling Clementine's friends something.
"So, Vincent here, use to sing girly love songs." He tells them and I sighed as they all looked to me for confirmation.
"He's right, I was a sucker for girly love songs." I admitted.
"Oh, wait I have one… if it's ok for me to play it that is?" He asked me and I knew why he would.
"Sure, why the hell not, not like they don't know I'm… well who I am." I say and he jumps from the couch and runs over to the TV and hooks up his phone to it. I follow him as everyone looks to the tv and I grabbed the remote and hold it away from him.
"Prepare to be amazed." Louis says dramatically as I turned on the TV and it showed me in my Jean vest, with a bright pink shirt under it, I was wearing my old faded black jeans and of course my old work boots. I was sitting next to Louis as he was showing me something on his laptop and I nodded at this.
"Ok, you have to sing this."

"Ok is the Camera going?"
"Yep."
"Oh my god you two were adorable." Sarah says and I watched the film more.

"THAT'S IT!" I then got up from my spot on the floor and started to chase Louis around in the video and everyone was laughing at this. I looked to Clementine as she wiped the tears from her eyes and I smiled at this then looked back to the TV to show Louis giving me a nuggie and I think a bit.
"So you're old name was Violet?" Gabe asked and I nodded.
"Yea… that's why Louis asked if he could show the video." I tell him and I sit on the armrest of my couch.
"Why did you… I don't want to be rude when asking." He says and I look at him.
"I don't want to talk on it, not now." I tell him and he nods and I watch as Louis plays more video's and I look at Clementine as she got up and went o get a drink so I follow her.
"Enjoying the show?" I asked and she looked to me.
"Yea… you look so happy." She says and I look to see the clip of me and Louis jumping off Mitches bed with our air guitars and I smiled at this.
"Yea… didn't think I'd actually make it this far…. I think ten-year-old me would just look at me now and…. Be shocked I guess." I tried to explain.
"… Do you want to hang out tomorrow? After I finish school that is." She says and I look at her and I nod.
"Yea, that would be great." I say and she smiled at me.
