Chris' first day at school didn't proceed as 'smoothly' as shown. The truth is that it was delayed for a particular reason.
Lydian Principal Office
The three individuals were seated around the desk's office of the school's principal. On one side; said principal, a new one mostly unaware of the deep end of the Lydian purposes and happy to remain so knowing what happened to the previous establishment and principal.
On the other side, the new transfer student; Yukine Chris and her current guardian; Kazanari Genjūrō. The former had been called to the school regarding a matter concerning the new student that had yet to begin her first day.
And, on the desk, was the reason for this urgent meeting, Chris school's bag and, displayed on its side; its rather dubious and alarming content.
"So, as Yukine-san guardian, I would like you to explain it to me." The principal initiates. "Half dozen of Anpan, two onigiris, two cartons of milk, some kind of communicators, pepper spray, a set of knives and- What was that?" she stops herself, looking at her supposed "new student" after hearing her mutters something.
"Those are throwing knives, they don't have any handle so they can't just be compared to regular knives," Chris clarifies.
The principal's eyes twitch briefly at being corrected over such matter. "A set of throwing knives and two guns with extra magazines." She stressed the last words.
Chris remains silent, coking her head to the side in confusion before looking at her guardian, shrugging at the concerned look she receives.
"I'm' actually curious myself, Chris-kun. The knives aside, I wonder what lead you to the thought it would be okay to bring weapons to school.
Chris narrows her eyes at him indignant. "How was I supposed to know that?!" She snarls at him.
""It's common sense, obviously!"" Both adults bark back.
The girl greets her teeth at the mutual answer given to her. "I have been homeschooled until now, I told you it would be the first time I set foot in an actual school and that I was nervous. You gave me a damn movie where other kids carry weapons at school, so of course, I would get my owns!" She retorts.
"Yukine-san, I don't know what kind of schools were represented in this movie recommended to you…" the principal sent a brief glare at the sole male in the room before resuming, enjoying him fidgeting a bit under her gaze. "But this is a normal school, there is no need for such… items, with you," the principal replies calmly.
Chris deflates at the words. "The concerned items are only the weapons, right? The food is still fair game?"
The woman let out a sigh before giving a small smile, after all a basic misunderstanding was the reason for this situation. "Yes, Yukine-san. The food is… like you would say, 'fair game' alongside the pepper spray. Though, a bit overboard. Just, please, don't use it on other students."
"Can do," Chris replies, reaching out for an Anpan and beginning munching on it after opening it, ignoring the aggravated look thrown at her.
"Kazanari-san, while I don't know the full extent of Chris' situation, I believe that such incident won't happen again?"
"It won't, I'm taking everything with me and will keep an eye on her," he responds, prompting Chris to roll her eyes, knowing that he can't really stop her to get her hands on other weapons.
"Great! Then I will take you up on that. Yukine-san, I will escort you to your classroom." The principal stands from her chair before ushering her guest outside after Genjūrō had gathered the dangerous items, hiding them on his person.
Once outside the office and walking, the commander voices the question bothering him for a moment. "By the way Chris-kun. How did you get your hand on these?"
"Took them from one of your agents," the girl answers flatly with a mouthful of her snack.
Genjūrō's brows furrow at the answer. "If it was the case it would have been signaled."
"I doubt someone on leave for sickness would notice pieces of her gears missing until she is back."
The commander could only stay stunned at the replies, that the girl who barely enter their ranks was able to find such loophole. 'I will have to revise the policy regarding that matter,' he thought to himself before separating from the two to head back to HQ.
"Here we are Yukine-san," The principal announces once in front of the door of her classroom. "Now remember that there are only normal students in there… well mostly," She adds before reaching for the door.
She turns around once more toward the girl. "Oh, right. Welcome to Lydian Yukine-san."
And with that, she opened the door to Chris' new life.
