Paper Hearts: The Legendary Door

Sora, Donald, and Goofy are back to continue their second adventure, but arrive back at the Mushroom Kingdom, this time, Rogueport, where they meet Mario again. They're now on a journey to find the seven Crystal Stars to unlock the Thousand-Year Door for the legendary treasure while dealing with the mysterious X-Nauts. Will they find the treasure and Peach? Rated T for violence.

9. Chapter 8: Shadow Showdown

Chapter 8: Shadow Showdown

Sora, Mario, Donald, Goofy, Goombella, Koops, Flurrie, Tatsu, Vivian, Bobbery, and Ms. Mowz transport out of the X-Naut Fortress and are now in what looks like a metallic room.

"Did it work?" Donald asked.

"Are we back in Rogueport?" Vivian asked.

"I think so..." Sora said, but just then, they hear something from outside.

"What was that?" Ms. Mowz asked.

"It came from outside." Koops said.

The group leave the metallic room and are now in the ruined town area of the Rogueport sewers.

"Ah, Mario! Sora!" A voice said and they see Professor Frankly and Toadsworth.

"Over here, lads!" Toadsworth said.

"Oh, Professor!" Goombella said.

"And Toadsworth's here too?" Goofy asked, as they approach the two.

"You brought the last Crystal Star from the moon, yes?" Frankly asked.

"That's right!" Sora said, grinning and Mario nods.

"And get this, the X-Naut's fortress was there too." Tatsu said.

"I see, so that would mean Princess Peach was there too?" Toadsworth asked.

"Uh, well..." Vivian stops talking.

"She WAS there, but their boss took her to a place called the Palace of Shadow." Flurrie said.

"Ah-HAAAAA! Just a bit ago, I smelled some rank air and both Toadsworth and I went for the Thousand-Year Door." Frankly said.

"Indeed. Some caped fellow went through the door with Princess Peach." Toadsworth said.

"Seriously?!" Goombella asked shocked.

"But how is that possible? The door can't open without all seven Crystal Stars." Bobbery said and Mario nods.

"But we're sure of it. I saw it with my own eyes." Frankly said.

"This is truly a bad feeling and the Princess is in danger!" Toadsworth said.

"Then, what're we waiting for? We gotta get to the Thousand-Year Door now!" Sora said and Mario nods.

"Yes, indeed. Toadsworth and I shall be heading there. Do follow us." Frankly said, as they leave.

The group follow Frankly and Toadsworth through the ruined town and later arrive back at the Thousand-Year Door and find the two.

"Splendid timing!" Toadsworth said.

"The villains must have found another way to get through the door." Frankly said.

"Mario!" Donald said and Mario nods, as he gets on the pedestal.

The glowing circle appears, as all seven Crystal Stars appear and a quake occurs.

"Whoa, everythin's shakin'...!" Goofy said.

"Hey, look! The door!" Goombella said, as the Thousand-Year Door glows with stars and the door starts to open, revealing a portal.

"Whoa..." Sora said.

"At long last, the way to the Palace of Shadow has opened." Frankly said.

"Let's get moving and save Peach before they do something to her!" Sora said and they nod.

"We can't let that demon awake!" Vivian said.

"Mario, you ready?" Sora asked and Mario nods.

"In we go!" Donald said, as they go for the opened door, which closes after they go through.

(Field Theme: Palace of Shadow)

(Palace of Shadow-Foyer)

The group are now in the Palace of Shadow and enter what looks like a long foyer.

"Dude, this place looks nasty..." Tatsu said.

"Yeah, it does, but what choice do we have?" Koops asked.

"We gotta get through this place before that cataclysm happens!" Ms. Mowz said and Mario nods.

"Well, here we go! Let's do this!" Sora said and everyone nods.

The group begin moving through the foyer and go through a long hallway, but then, Hookbat Heartless appear and attack, only for Sora to attack with his Keyblade while Mario jumps while Donald casts Thunder while Goofy uses Tornado while Goombella uses Headbonk while Flurrie uses Body Slam while Tatsu uses Ground Pound while Vivian uses Shade Fist and they defeat the Heartless and keep moving through the foyer and later arrive somewhere else.

(Palace of Shadow-Stairway Hall)

The group arrive at the stairway hall of the palace and keep going while dealing Dry Bones, Bully Dog Heartless, and Bullet Bills and start going downstairs until they reach the lower levels of the halls, where they come across more enemies, only for Sora and Mario to use the Diamond Star to use Earth Tremor to defeat the enemies and they find a door and open it, taking them to a different room.

(Palace of Shadow-Corridor)

The group arrive at a corridor of the palace, but they come across spikes rising from the floor, only for the group to avoid the spikes and keep going while dodging more rising spikes, as well as dealing more Heartless and other enemies, such as Swoops and Dull Bones and later head for the next area. The group are in a different area of the corridor, where they come across spinning flames, which they dodge and continue through the corridor and they later find another door and open it, taking them to a different room.

(Palace of Shadow-Room of Bones)

The group are now in a huge room full of bones all over the floor and they find a locked door, but as they go for the locked door, something appears, blocking the way, revealing to be a giant Heartless that looks like a dark red skeleton with glowing yellow eyes, wearing a black hooded cloak with blue, green, and purple flame like designs, bony claws, carrying a giant scythe with a red skull at the top of the scythe with the curved blade being dark blue while the handle is black, and the Heartless symbol is on the hood of its cloak.

(Boss Theme: Sinister Shadows)

"Wak! A Heartless!" Donald said, taking out his staff.

"Ugh, it's blocking our path too!" Goombella said.

"Yeah, well, we're gonna MAKE it move!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade while Mario gets into his fighting stance.

The skeleton Heartless rises its scythe and then slams the handle on the ground, making bones animate and bringing many Dry Bones to life and they surround the group.

"Nice army, chump, but you're dealing with US!" Tatsu said.

"There's no strength in numbers and you'll soon see!" Bobbery said.

The group confront the Heartless known as Sombre Perte and Sora delivers three slashes with his Keyblade while Mario uses Power Bounce and jumps on the Heartless many times while Donald casts Blizzard while Goombella uses Multibonk and headbonks many times, but Sombre Perte throws its scythe at the whole group, dealing damage and then uses the Dry Bones to throw many bones at the group as well. Goofy uses Charge to strike at the Dry Bones and Sombre Perte while Koops uses Power Shell to attack the Dry Bones, defeating them and then strikes at Sombre Perte as well, but Sombre Perte summons blue, green, and purple flames and sends them at the group, dealing burning damage. Vivian uses Shade Fist to retaliate and causes burning damage on the Heartless while Tatsu uses Muli Egg and throws many eggs to do damage, only for Sombre Perte to deliver a giant slash at the group with its scythe, dealing lots of damage, and then uses its power to create more Dry Bones, but Bobbery uses Power Bomb to cause exploding damage on both Sombre Perte and the Dry Bones. The Dry Bones throw more bones to attack the group while Sombre Perte vanishes and then reappears and slashes at the group with its scythe, but Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap to attack the Heartless while Flurrie uses Lip Lock to steal some of the Heartless' health, but the Dry Bones throw more bones at the group while Sombre Perte summons blue, green, and purple flames around the group and then causes a fiery exploson on the group. Mario uses Hammer Throw while Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes all over, getting the Dry Bones and Sombre Perte and delivers the final dash attack.

Sombre Perte casts a poison spell on both Sora and Mario, poisoning them and dealing damage, but Ms. Mowz uses Smooch to heal them while Donald casts Cure to heal as well while Vivian uses Fiery Jinx and creates her fiery explosion on Sombre Perte, dealing burning damage, but Sombre Perte summons a skull on Vivian, creating a curse, such as poison, burning damage, dizziness, and confusion. Koops uses Shell Shield to protect the group while Bobbery uses Bomb Squad and sends mini bombs to cause explosions on the Heartless, but Sombre Perte creates more Dry Bones, as well as Red Bones and then throws its scythe at the group, dealing more damage, only for Flurrie to use Body Slam to crush the Heartless. The Red Bones throw their bones at the group while the Dry Bones do the same while Sombre Perte vanishes and reappears and slashes with its scythe, but Goombella uses Headbonk while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado, but Sombre Perte summons more blue, green, and purple flames to send at the group, dealing burning damage, only for Tatsu to use Stampede and sends out a herd of Yoshis to run over the Red Bones, Dry Bones, and Sombre Perte, defeating the bones. Sombre Perte casts its skull spell on Tatsu, Goofy, and Goombella to cast curse spells, such as freeze, slowness, and sleep, but Sora uses Ars Arcanum and delivers many bashes with his Keyblade and then delivers more bashes and delivers the final bash while Mario uses Ultra Jump and jumps high into the air and delivers a spin jump attack, but Sombre Perte casts a spell to make itself very powerful.

"Oh, no!" Vivian said, using Veil to get the group under.

Sombre Perte uses its power to unleash massive blue, green, and purple flames, but does no damage, as they group return to the surface, but Sombre Perte summons more Dry Bones and Red Bones and then delivers a giant slash with its scythe at the group, dealing damage, but Bobbery uses Bomb while Flurrie uses Gale Force to get the Bones away, only for Sombre Perte to throw its scythe at the group, but Tatsu uses Ground Pound and multi strikes at the Heartless. Sombre Perte vanishes and reappears and slashes at the group with its scythe, but Koops uses Shell Toss while Vivian uses Shade Fist and causes burning damage, only for Sombre Perte to unleash more curse skulls to try and curse the group, only for Ms. Mowz to use Love Slap, but Sombre Perte conjures more blue, green, and purple flames to cause burning damage. Goofy uses Goofy Turbo while Goombella uses Multibonk, but Sombre Perte casts poison on the group to cause poison damage, only for Donald to cast Thunder, but Sombre Perte casts a spell to make itself more powerful again, only for Vivian to use Veil again before the Heartless can unleash massive blue, green, and purple flames to deal damage, but nothing and as the group return to the surface, Mario uses Power Jump and delivers a very powerful jump attack while Sora uses Blitz and delivers three powerful leaping strikes, but Sombre Perte delivers a giant slash with its scythe at the group, dealing more damage, but Sora and Mario use the Crystal Star to use Supernova and create a very powerful explosion on Sombre Perte, dealing very powerful damage and they finish off Sombre Perte, ending the battle.

"Whew, tough Heartless, but we pulled through!" Sora said, grinning and Mario nods.

Sombre Perte struggles its balance, as it drops its scythe, which vanishes and Sombre Perte's bones begin to fall part, becoming a pile of bones with the cloak on the bone pile while a giant heart flies out, as the pile of bones and cloak vanish.

"That was some Heartless..." Koops said.

"What a freakshow." Goombella said.

"You said it, Goombella!" Donald said.

"Least we won't be dealing with that again." Ms. Mowz said.

Sora goes for the locked door and uses his Keyblade to unlock it.

"C'mon, let's keep going! We still have a long way to go." Sora said and they nod.

The group go for the now unlocked door and open it, taking them to a different room.

(Palace of Shadow-Stairway Hall 2)

The group arrive at another stairway hall and begin climbing down the stairs while fighting off more Heartless and other enemies, such as Boos, Dull Bones, and Bullet Bills and they later reach the lower section of the hall and they come across another door and open it, taking them to the next room.

(Palace of Shadow-Stairs of Confusion)

The group arrive at the next room of the palace, where they find many stairs, much to theor confusion, but they find torches to help guide them to know which stairs to take, which are lower stairs, upper stairs, upper stairs, lower stairs, upper stairs, and lower stairs and after taking the right stairs, they find another door and open it to take them somewhere else.

(Palace of Shadow-Courtyard)

The group are now outside the palace and are now in an old courtyard with a giant fountain and flowing water.

"We get out of one weird room, only to find another?" Sora asked.

"It's really big here..." Flurrie said.

"Like we're in some underground city..." Bobbery said.

"Well, it IS located underneath Rogueport. This must've been sealed for many years." Goombella said.

The group explore the courtyard while fighting off Chain Chomps, as well as Bully Dogs and while exploring, they find another door leading to another part of the palace, so they open the door to go back inside.

(Palace of Shadow-Hallway)

The group arrive at a very long hallway of the palace while dealing with more Heartless and other enemies and after going through the very long hallway, they find a door and go to the next room.

(Palace of Shadow-Dragon's Den)

The group arrive at a very big, but dark room.

"Gawrsh, this place sure is big..." Goofy said.

"Just what kind of room is this?" Vivian asked.

"Who are you?!" A voice demanded.

"Huh?" Sora asked, as they see something coming their way and it's a giant black dragon.

"No one's disturbed me in aeons! Who dares defile this sacred place?!" The black dragon demanded.

"Hey, is that...Hooktail?" Donald asked.

"But...how? We totally beat it before!" Goombella said.

"Did something bring it back?" Koops asked.

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! You DESTROYED my precious younger sister?! No wonder she hadn't written to me recently..." The black dragon said.

"Wait, Hooktail was your sister?!" Sora asked.

"I guess I can see the resemblance..." Goombella said.

"Quake in fear, mortal fools, for I am Gloomtail! I will avenge my sister by taking your lives and gnawing on your bones!" Gloomtail said.

"Heh, you can try, Gloomtail, but we beat Hooktail before and we'll take YOU on!" Sora said, as the group get ready to fight.

(Boss Theme: Vs. Gloomtail)

The group confront Gloomtail.

"Ahhh, my first meal in ages, but which to devour first? Oh, well. I suppose I'll toy with you for a while." Gloomtail said.

Sora aerial attacks at Gloomtail with his Keyblade while Mario uses Power Bounce and jumps on the dragon many times while Donald casts Thunder while Goombella uses Headbonk, but Gloomtail breathes green flames to try and poison the group. Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield while Koops uses Shell Slam and delivers a powerful shell attack at Gloomtail's foot, but Gloomtail bites at the group, dealing some damage, only for Ms. Mowz to use Love Slap at Gloomtail's foot and deals damage to the dragon, who retaliates with breathing blue flames at the group. Tatsu uses Ground Pound and delivers multiple bounce attacks on Gloomtail while Flurrie uses Body Slam, but Gloomtail bites at the group again to deal damage, only for Bobbery to use Bomb and deals exploding damage, but Gloomtail breathes more green flames to try and poison the group, who manage to block. Vivian uses Shade Fist and causes burning damage while Sora casts Blizzard, but Gloomtail tries to bite at the group again, only for Mario to use Quake Hammer and delivers a powerful quaking hammer strike.

"Hmm, you're tough for morsals, but try and handle THIS!" Gloomtail said, jumping high into the air and causes quaking damage.

Flurrie uses Lip Lock and delivers kissing damage while stealing some of Gloomtail's health while Donald casts Fire while Vivian uses Fiery Jinx and causes fiery damage, as well as burning damage, but Gloomtail breathes more blue fire to try and burn the group, who block the attack. Ms. Mowz uses Tease to try and confuse Gloomtail while Tatsu uses Multi Egg and throws three eggs at the dragon, who retaliates with stomping his foot at the group, only for Koops to use Shell Shield to protect the group from the stomping attack. Gloomtail jumps high into the air again and delivers another quake attack, but Bobbery uses Bomb Squad and sends out mini bombs to deliver exploding attacks while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado, only for Gloomtail to try and poison the group with his poison breath again, but Goombella uses Multibonk to bonk on the dragon many times, but Gloomtail tries to bite at the group. Mario uses Spin Jump and double spin jumps on Gloomtail twice while Sora uses Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade four times and then delivers the final Keyblade throw.

"You're just too tough to snack on! I would never be able to show my face again if I was bested by you whelps... I'll just have to use THIS!" Gloomtail said, powering himself up.

"That doesn't look good!" Donald said.

"Hold on!" Vivian said, using Veil to get the group under.

"Here I go! MEGABREATH!" Gloomtail shouted, breathing a massive flame, but nothing.

The group return to the surface, but Gloomtail tries to stomp on the group, only for Ms. Mowz to use Love Slap while Bobbery uses Super Bomb and deals exploding damage, but Gloomtail jumps high into the air and delivers a massive quake attack, but Vivian uses Shade Fist to deal burning damage. Gloomtail breathes blue flames to try and burn the group, who manage to block and Tatsu uses Stampede to make a herd of Yoshis run over the dragon, dealing damage while Flurrie uses Body Slam to deliver crushing damage, only for Gloomtail to deliver biting attacks, but Koops uses Power Shell to strike at Gloomtail's foot. Gloomtail powers himself up again, only for Vivian to use Veil again before Gloomtail could use his Megabreath attack, but fails and Goombella to use Headbonk while Goofy uses Goofy Charge, but Gloomtail jumps high into the air and causes more quaking damage, but Donald casts Aero, only for Gloomtail to breathe more poison to try and poison the group. Sora aerial slashes at Gloomtail with his Keyblade while Mario uses Hammer Throw, but Gloomtail breathes more blue flames to try and burn the group, only for Sora and Mario to use the Garnet Star and use Showstooper and they deliver a powerful blasting damage on Gloomtail, as they deliver the final attack on the dragon, ending the fight.

"No... NO! I can't...expire...!" Gloomtail said, as he falls.

"Heh, you're no different from Hooktail!" Sora said, grinning.

Just then, something comes out of Gloomtail's stomach and it's what looks like a chest.

"Huh?" Donald asked.

"Dear me, he coughed out a chest." Flurrie said.

"What's in it?" Tatsu asked.

Sora opens the chest, revealing to be a star shaped item.

"What's that for?" Bobbery asked.

"I dunno, but I think it might be important." Sora said and Mario nods.

"Well, if there's nothing left to do here, let's get outta here." Goombella said, as they leave the room.

The group return to the courtyard and while exploring, they examine the stone Chain Chomps, so Bobbery uses his bomb ability to destroy the stone Chain Chomps, revealing pipes, so Sora and Mario use the pipes to take them to the other side of the courtyard and find switches and use them to make a pedestal disappear, revealing what looks like a boat panel.

"I betcha we can use that." Goofy said.

"Yeah, maybe." Sora said.

Sora and Mario use the boat panel to become paper boats and start moving across the water and reach what looks like a tower and enter it.

(Field Theme: Star Tower)

The group are now in the tower and find many doors, as well as a spiral staircase.

"This place is huge..." Koops said.

"What do we do here?" Ms. Mowz asked.

"I guess we'll have to take a look around and see." Sora said and Mario nods.

The group go for the first door and look around, as Flurrie uses her wind to blow away something, revealing a chest, so Sora opens it, revealing a star piece and then go for the next door, where they go through a wall and find another star piece and take it. The group head for the next door, where they find two red blocks and so Mario hits one block three times while Sora hits the other two times and they get another star piece and then go for the spiral staircase, taking them to the upper section of the tower. Using the next door, Vivian uses Veil to reveal a block, which they use to reveal another star piece and then go for the next door, where they find another star piece by destroying a wall. As they go for the next star piece, they find stone blocks, which Mario destroys with his hammer while Sora destroys other blocks with his Keyblade and they claim another star piece. In the next door, they find many Bones, which are Dull, Dry, Red, and Dark Bones and defeat them to claim the next star piece and after gathering enough star pieces, they climb up the spiral staircase, taking them to the third floor.

"Hey, look up there!" Donald said, pointing at sphere of stars.

"Absolutely titantic." Bobbery said.

"What could this mean?" Vivian asked.

"I dunno, but look!" Sora said, pointing at a stone pedestal with a star shape.

"Wait, it might match that star thing we got after beating Gloomtail." Goombella said, as Mario takes out the star key and places it on the pedestal.

Just then, many more pedestals rise with shapes that match the star pieces, so Sora and Mario place the star pieces on the pedestals, making the star sphere glow and start moving.

"It's moving, so something should happen..." Ms. Mowz said, but then, a quake occurs.

"Wak! Now what?" Donald asked.

In the palace halls, the floors start going down, creating stairs that lead to a lower door at the end of the hall.

"What was that?" Koops asked.

"I dunno, but we should go see." Sora said and Mario nods.

The group leave the star tower and return to the courtyard and make their way back to the second part of the palace.

"We've been waiting for you, Mario and Sora..." A voice said.

"Huh?" Sora asked.

"Oh, no... That voice..." Vivian said, as Beldam and Marilyn appear and Frankly and Toadsworth arrive at their side.

"Huh?! Professor?!" Goombella asked shocked.

"And Toadsworth?!" Donald asked also shocked.

"What's going on? Why're you guys with them?!" Sora asked.

"Thank you SOO much for opening the door for us. Yes, that was nice! Thanks to your do-gooder predictability, my plan is progressing very smoothly..." Beldam said.

"Sis, h-how dare you!" Vivian said.

"And whaddya mean about us opening the door for YOU, hag?!" Goombella demanded.

"Yeah, we didn't do it for you!" Tatsu yelled.

"Mwee hee hee hee hee hee! Ahh, so you still don't see it? Such fools." Beldam said.

"What're you talking about?" Sora asked.

"The 'Professor Frankly' and 'Toadsworth' you were with when you opened the Thousand-Year Door...were none other than these little freaks-in-sheets!" Beldam said, as Professor Frankly reveals to be Doopliss while Toadsworth reveals to be Doopley.

"You two AGAIN?!" Sora asked.

"Ugh, not you sheet freaks!" Tatsu said.

"Um, yeah, my name's Doopliss and he's Doopley, but..." Doopliss was cut off.

"Mwee hee hee hee hee! Yess, we got you to have us arrive here. Many thanks." Beldam said.

"What've you done to the real Frankly and Toadsworth?!" Ms. Mowz demanded.

"Oh, those two are just sleeping off nasty bumps on the heads in a closet somewhere. Poor things! Once we finally get rid of you here, our plan will be nearly complete! So, ready for the end, dearies? You and that traitor Vivian have a date with eternity!" Beldam said.

"Guh-uh!" Marilyn said.

"That's right, Slicks! Eternity!" Doopliss said.

"Yeah, and we'll have our sweet revenge too!" Doopley said.

"Shut up, freaks!" Beldam ordered.

"Oh, right, right, sorry..." Doopliss said.

"She's so mean..." Doopley said.

"Heh, YOU guys take us on?! I don't think so! We beat you guys before and we'll do it again!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade.

"It's YOU that's goonna taste defeat, Beldam! Not us!" Koops said.

"They're right, Sis! And this time, I'll punish YOU!" Vivian said.

"Come, my sort-of-lovelies! Marilyn! Freak-sheets!" Beldam said.

"Guh-uh!" Marilyn said.

"I said my name's Doopliss!" Doopliss said.

"And I'm Doopley!" Doopley said.

(Boss Theme: Vs. Shadow Sirens)

The group confront the Shadow Sirens and the Duplighost brothers.

"Okay, my sort-of-lovelies! Today, we take down, Mario, Sora, and their goon squad for good! If I catch any of you slacking, you'll be in for maximum punishment come tomorrow!" Beldam said.

"Guh-uh!" Marilyn said.

"Okay, okay, okay!" Doopliss said.

"Fine, fine, fine!" Doopley said.

"Ready to shut them up?" Ms. Mowz asked.

"Yep!" Sora said and Mario nods.

Sora casts Thunder and strikes at all four of them while Mario uses Multibounce and gets the four as well, but Doopley delivers a spinning dance attack at Sora while Doopliss delivers a diving attack at Mario while Marilyn unleashes lightning while Beldam unleashes a blizzard spell, but Donald casts Fire at Beldam while Goombella uses Headbonk on Doopley. Doopley uses his shapeshifting ability on Sora and takes his form again and then attacks Sora with the Keyblade while Doopliss also uses his shapeshifting on Mario to be Mario again and delivers a jumping attack on the plumber while Marilyn charges her attacks while Beldam casts a spell to weaken Goombella and Donald. Tatsu uses Gulp on Doopley and spits him out at Doopliss while Bobbery uses Super Bomb and gets all four, but Doopley uses his shapeshifting on Goofy, taking his form and delivers a shield bash at Koops while Doopliss uses his shapshifting on Vivian and uses Shade Fist on Bobbery while Marilyn delivers a shade attack on Mario while Beldam casts a spell to make her stronger. Ms Mowz uses Love Slap on Marilyn while Koops uses Shell Slam to get the four, only for Doopley to transform into Donald and casts Thunder on the group while Doopliss transforms into Bobbery and delivers a bomb strike on the group, only for Goofy to use Goofy Turbo to get the four, but Marilyn unleashes more lightning while Beldam delivers a shade attack on Mario, dealing ice damage. Vivian uses Shade Fist on Beldam, dealing burning damage while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado on the four, but Doopley transforms into Ms. Mowz and delivers a slap attack while Doopliss transforms into Goombella and delivers a headbonk, but Tatsu uses Stampede and sends a herd of Yoshis to run over the four enemies, but Marilyn unleashes lightning while Beldam casts poison on the group. Bobbery uses Bomb Squad to send out mini bombs to explode on the four while Flurrie uses Lip Lock on Doopliss and steals some of his life, but Doopley transforms into Sora again and throws the Keyblade while Doopliss transforms into Mario again and attacks with the hammer, only for Koops to use Power Shell to strike at the four. Marilyn charges herself while Beldam casts her spell to make Koops, Flurrie, and Bobbery weak, but Ms. Mowz uses Tease on Doopley to confuse him, allowing Goombella to use Multibonk on the Duplighost to deal multiple damage, but Marilyn delivers a shade clap attack on Goombella while Beldam unleashes her blizzard magic to cause ice damage. Donald casts Blizzard on the four, only for Doopley to transform into Flurrie and delivers a body slam attack while Doopliss transforms into Donald casts Fire while Marilyn unleashes lightning while Beldam casts poison to poison the group, but Mario uses Quake Hammer on the four while Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes all over while getting the four and delivers the final dash attack. Doopley reverts back to his form and delivers a spin dance attack while Doopliss delivers his diving attack while Marilyn delivers her shade clap attack while Beldam also delivers her shade attack, causing ice damage, only for Sora to use Fire Raid, getting the four while Mario uses Ultra Jump and gets Beldam.

"Had enough, hag?" Sora asked, grinning.

"Gah! Curse you, Sora! Curse you, Mario! This is SOOOOO annoying!" Beldam yelled.

Doopley transforms into Goofy again and delivers a shield tornado attack while Doopliss transforms into Bobbery and delivers a bomb blast attack while Marilyn charges her attacks while Beldam casts a spell to make herself stronger, but Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap on Doopley while Bobbery uses Bomb while Vivian uses Fiery Jinx on the four and they defeat Doopley and Doopliss. Marilyn unleashes more lightning while Beldam casts her blizzard spell, only for Tatsu to use Multi Egg and throws three eggs at Marilyn, making her weak while Flurrie uses Body Slam on Marilyn, who retaliates with delivering a shade clap attack while Beldam casts poison on the group, but Koops uses Shell Slam on the two and they defeat Marilyn. Beldam casts her spell to make the group weak, but Goombella uses Multibonk and bonks on Beldam multiple times while Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield, only for Beldam to deliver a shade attack while dealing ice damage, but Donald casts Fire on Beldam, dealing burning damage, but Beldam casts poison to poison the group again. Mario uses Power Bounce and jumps on Beldam many times while Sora uses Blitz and delivers three leaping attacks with his Keyblade, only for Beldam to cast her spell to make the group weak and then unleashes her blizzard spell to deal ice damage, but Sora and Mario use the Ruby Star to use Art Attack and draw many circles around Beldam, dealing damage. Beldam tries to cast poison on the group, only for Ms. Mowz to use Love Slap while Bobbery uses Super Bomb while Vivian uses Shade Fist while Tatsu uses Ground Pound while Flurrie uses Lip Lock while Koops uses Shell Toss while Goombella uses Headbonk while Goofy uses Goofy Charge while Donald casts Fire while Mario uses Power Smash while Sora delivers three attacks with his Keyblade and they finish off Beldam, ending the fight.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Beldam said.

"That's for treating Vivian horribly, ya hag!" Sora said.

"Ugh... At this rate... She'll never..." Beldam stops talking.

"Uuuuuhhhhh..." Marilyn said.

"Oooof..." Doopliss said.

"Ooooooowwwww..." Doopley said.

"I'm sorry, Sis..." Vivian said.

"Still, what did Beldam mean by her plan being almost complete?" Goombella asked.

"I dunno, but they're outta the way now, so let's keep going." Sora said and Mario nods.

"Yeah. Let's leave these palookas." Donald said.

The group head for the door and head back for the hall of the second part of the palace, where they find the stairs.

"Whoa, the floor was stairs last time!" Koops said.

"I guess that must have happened back at that tower." Ms. Mowz said.

"Well, whatever the case, shall we?" Flurrie asked and they nod.

The group go downstairs and are on the lower floor while fighting off many Heartless and using Flurrie's wind, they find a way to go back upstairs to find a hole and go into it, taking them to another room.

(Palace of Shadow-Room of Gears)

The group arrive in a room full of gears and find a switch and use it to create a platform and use it to get across and they head for the same hall, but with blocks and using switches, they make blocks drop and use them to get across and they go for the next door.

(Palace of Shadow-Endless Pit)

The group arrive at a room full of pits and with Mario using his Ultra Jump, they use pipes to avoid the pits and they open another door, taking them to another room.

(Palace of Shadow-Room of Gears 2)

The group arrive in another room of gears and find a switch so Bobbery uses his bomb ability on the switch, making platforms appear, allowing the group to get across while fighting off Hookbats, Bully Dogs, Embers, and Swoops and they come across a pattern of stars. As they go upstairs, Sora uses his Keyblade to unlock the room and they go to another room and using their roll ability, they find red switches and use them to light certain stars to make the same pattern, making something happen and they see a gear spin. Using the spinning gear, the group head for the next part of the gear room, where they find a stone block and Mario uses his Ultra Hammer to destroy it, revealing a wooden panel, so Mario uses his Spin Jump to go down and they leave the gear room.

The group return to the palace's halls and using the airplane panel, Sora and Mario become paper airplanes and glide down to reach the next door that's locked, so Sora unlocks it and they go for the next room.

(Palace of Shadow-Grand Hall)

The group arrive at a grand hall, but Sora gets a strange feeling.

"Guys, is it me or does it feel like we're gonna encounter something big?" Sora asked.

"No, you're not the only one, Sora." Vivian said and Mario nods.

"But whatever's gonna happen, we stick together." Goofy said.

"Goofy's right, lad! We've come this far, so we shan't turn back now." Bobbery said.

"Right! We can handle anything!" Sora said and Mario nods.

"There's the door." Koops said, pointing at a big door.

"Beyond that's gonna give some chills down one's spine..." Ms. Mowz said.

"Yeah, but we might as well, start moving." Goombella said, as they go for the big door and open it, taking them to a different room.

(Palace of Shadow-Throne Room)

The group enter the palace's throne room and look around.

"Gwarsh, this room DOES give a bad feelin'." Goofy said.

"Just what's in here?" Goombella asked.

"Guess we'll find out." Sora said and Mario nods.

The group make their way through the throne room.

"Gaaaack ack ack ack ack ack ack!" A voice laughed.

"Huh?" Donald asked, as they see someone sitting on the throne and it's Grodus.

"We finally meet, Mario and Sora! I've been looing forward to this, I must admit!" Grodus said.

"G-Grodus!" Vivian said.

"You know this guy, Vivian?" Sora asked.

"So, this chump's the leader of those X-Nauts?" Tatsu asked.

"Yes, correct! I am the supreme leader of the secret society of X-Nauts! I am Grodus! But I'm getting ahead of myself. I really must express my thanks to you first..." Grodus said.

"Thank us? Why?" Donald asked.

"Isn't it obvious? You have gathered together all of the Crystal Stars I was seeking." Grodus said.

"Oh, no!" Goofy said shocked.

"So, that last Crystal Star we found on the moon..." Goombella stops talking.

"What did we DO?!" Sora asked.

"Gaaack ack ack ack ack ack ack! You just now realize, do you? Yes, instead of taking the few Crystal Stars you fools had bumbled into... It was far easier to just let you find them all and open the Thousand-Year Door for me. How kind of you to bring them all here to me! All I had to do was entrust the last Crystal Star to my least competent underling!" Grodus said.

"So, you were using Crump the whole time?" Koops asked.

"Yes, but I don't suppose he had any idea of my plan. Whether he beat you or lost to you, the Crystal Stars would be together and mine either way! Pure genius! Now, I thought the Shadow Sirens would do a little more to slow your progress, but it appears they were so useless that even a small task was beyond them... No matter. Now I get the pleasure of sending you fools to oblivion!" Grodus said.

"We should be careful with this guy." Ms. Mowz said.

"Yeah, he looks nasty." Sora said.

"Once you fools are out of my way, no one else will stop me! Grodus will rule the world!" Grodus said.

"That's NOT gonna happen!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade while the others get ready to fight.

"Gaaack ack ack ack ack! Come then and stop me, if you dare!" Grodus said.

The group confront Grodus.

"Meet your ends, you meddlesome fools! Know my power!" Grodus said, creating four small orbs around him to create a barrier.

Sora casts Thunder on the orbs, destroying them and bringing down Grodus' barrier, allowing Mario to use Power Bounce and jumps on the X-Naut leader many times while Goombella uses Rally Wink on Sora, allowing him to use Blizzard Raid and throws his ice coated Keyblade four times and then delivers the final ice coated Keyblade throw, but Grodus casts lightning magic at the group, dealing damage while creating two more orbs. Vivian uses Fiery Jinx on Grodus and his orbs, destroying them while Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap and slaps the X-Naut leader many times, only for Grodus to cast fire magic to deal burning damage on the group while creating two more orbs, but Goofy uses Goofy Tornado and strikes at Grodus and his orbs. Grodus casts ice magis to try and freeze the group, only for Flurrie to use Body Slam while Tatsu uses Ground Pound and multi bounces while Koops uses Shell Toss, but Grodus casts a spell to make himself able to counter against direct attacks while summoning more orbs to create another barrier to protect himself. Bobbery uses Power Bomb to blow up the orbs, destroying the barrier, allowing Donald to cast Blizzard, but Grodus casts another ice spell to try and freeze the group, only for Sora to counter with casting Fire while Mario uses Fire Drive and uses his hammer to send a fireball at Grodus, dealing burning damage on the X-Naut leader.

"Hmm, you've the mettle to push me this far, but NO MORE!" Grodus yelled, casting a time spell to freeze the group.

"Ugh, can't...move..." Sora said frozen.

"Gaaack ack ack ack ack ack! Take THIS!" Grodus yelled, casting more lightning magic on the group, damaging them.

Later, the group manage to get their movement back and Koops uses Shell Slam while Bobbery uses Bomb Squad and sends mini bombs to explode, but Grodus casts another fire spell to burn the group and creates three more orbs, only for Tatsu to use Stampede to send a herd of Yoshis to run down Grodus and his orbs, destroying them, but Grodus casts a spell to make himself more dodgy. Flurrie uses Lip Lock on Grodus to steal some os his health while Goombella uses Multibonk and bonks on Grodus many times, only for the X-Naut leader to cast his direct counter spell, but Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield at Grodus, who retaliates with casting more lightning at the group while creating more orbs to create his barrier. Donald casts Aero to get rid of the orbs and the barrier, allowing Vivian to use Shade Fist to deal burning damage while Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap, but Grodus casts his time stop spell again to freeze the group, allowing him to cast another fire spell to deal burning damage, but Sora delivers three slashes with his Keyblade while Mario uses Power Smash, only for Grodus to retaliate with casting another ice spell to freeze the group while creating more orbs create another barrier, but Sora and Mario use the Ruby Star to use Art Attack and draws circles around Grodus' orbs to get rid of the barrier and then Sora casts Blizzard on the X-Naut leader, dealing ice damage.

"ARGH! You will NOT stop me! Take THIS!" Grodus yelled casting another time stop spell to try and freeze the group again.

Donald casts Thunder to stop Grodus' time spell while Goombella uses Headbonk and bonks on Grodus twice, but Grodus casts lightning on the two while creating more orbs to create his barrier, only for Vivian to use Fiery Jinx to get Grodus' orbs, destroying them and his barrier, but Grodus retaliates with casting his fire spell to deal burning damage on the group. Ms. Mowz uses Tease to try and confuse Grodus, allowing Koops to use Power Shell, but Grodus casts another direct counter spell while creating three more orbs for protection, only for Tatsu to use Multi Egg and throws three eggs at Grodus to try and weaken him, only for the X-Naut leader to make himself more dodgy while creating another barrier from his orbs. Bobbery uses Power Bomb to destroy the orbs and his barrier, allowing Goofy to use Goofy Turbo, but Grodus casts more lightning at the group while creating more orbs to protect himself, only for Flurrie to use Gale Force to get rid of the orbs, but Grodus casts another ice spell to try and deal ice damage on the group. Mario uses Ultra Jump and jumps high into the air and delivers a powerful double jump on Grodus while Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes all over while striking Grodus and delivers the final dashing strike, but Grodus casts another time stop spell to immobilize the group again and then casts more lightning magic to deal damage, only for Mario and Sora to use the Garnet Star to use Showstopper and deliver a powerful bashing blast attack, dealing excellent damage on Grodus, damaging his dome head and one of his goggles.

"ARGH! FOOLS!" Grodus shouted.

Full of anger, Grodus casts another fire blast spell to try and deal burning damage on the group, only for Ms. Mowz to use Smooch to heal the group while Bobbery uses Bomb to deal exploding damage on Grodus, who retaliates with casting more ice magic to deal ice damage and freezing the group, but Vivian uses Shade Fist to deal burning damage on the X-Naut leader. Grodus casts another dodgy spell while creating more orbs to create his barrier for protection, only for Tatsu to use Stampede to send a herd of Yoshis to destroy the orbs and the barrier, allowing Flurrie to use Body Slam to deal crushing damage, but Grodus retaliates with casting another direct counter spell to counter against direct attacks and prepares to cast another fire spell. Koops uses Shell Shield to defend the group from Grodus' fire magic while Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield, dealing damage, but Grodus casts more lightning to strike at the group while creating more orbs to create his barrier, only for Donald to cast Thunder to destroy the orbs, allowing Goombella to use Multibonk and bonks on Grodus many times. Grodus retaliates with casting his time magic again to freeze the group once more and then casts more ice magic to deal freezing damage, only for Sora to use Thunder Raid anad throws his lightning coated Keyblade while Mario uses Power Jump and delivers a powerful jumping strike, but Grodus retaliates with casting fire damage to deal burning damage, only for Mario to use Spin Jump and deals double jumping damage while Sora uses Ars Arcanum and delivers many bashes with his Keyblade and delivers the final bash and they finish off Grodus, who kneels in defeat.

"Gah...! No..." Grodus said.

"Maleficent, you're not, Grodus!" Sora said, grinning.

"We got 'im!" Goofy cheered.

"You are more than you seem... But this is not finished! I saw even this possibility." Grodus said.

"Pardon?" Bobbery asked.

"What're you talking about?" Donald asked.

"Gaack ack ack ack ack! Watch THIS!" Grodus said, as something appears in the throne room and it's Peach in a green barrier.

"...Where am I?" Peach asked, but sees the group. "Mario! Sora!" Peach said.

"P-Peach?!" Sora asked shocked and Mario is also shocked.

"She IS here!" Vivian said.

"Make one step, and she will breathe no more!" Grodus threatened.

"You wouldn't...!" Koops said.

"Now, take THIS!" Grodus yelled, casting lightning on the group.

"AAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH!" Sora cried in pain.

"NO! MARIO! SORA!" Peach cried.

"Gaack ack ack ack ack ack! AGAIN!" Grodus yelled, casting more lightning on the group.

"AAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Sora screamed in pain again.

"NO! STOP IT!" Peach cried.

"What're we gonna do?" Donald asked.

"If we do something, he'll hurt her..." Tatsu said.

"Ugh, no choice, we're just gonna have surrender..." Sora said.

"Sora!" Donald yelled.

"Resorting to blubbering, are you?! Enough! Meet your ends!" Grodus said, as he's about to cast another spell.

Just then, a shake occurs around the throne room.

"Now WHAT?!" Ms. Mowz asked.

"Wh-What's THIS?!" Grodus asked.

"GWAAAAAAAAAAAAR!" A voice screamed, as something drops down from the room's ceiling and lands on Grodus, revealing to be Bowser.

"B-Bowser?!" Peach asked shocked.

"Ugh, that was surprising... Didn't think I'd fall... Have I put on weight?" Bowser asked.

Someone jumps down from the room's ceiling and it's Pete.

"And to think you've been callin' me Fatso, Fatso!" Pete said.

"Your Chunkiness! Are you hurt?" A voice asked, as someone flies down, revealing to be Kammy Koopa on her broomstick.

"Huh?" Bowser asked, as he sees the group.

"B-Bowser?!" Goofy asked shocked.

"AND Pete?!" Sora asked also shocked.

"Hey! Why're Mario and Sora HERE?!" Bowser asked.

"And wouldn't ya know it, the Boat-boy King's nimrod lackeys ARE here too!" Pete said.

"AND Princess Peach!" Kammy Koopa said, seeing Peach.

"I dunno what's goin' on here, but I'm puttin' an end to this right NOW! Mario, Sora, first I'll pound you two, then nab the Princess, AND the treasure!" Bowser said.

"What a bunch of hogwash!" Bobbery said.

"I know! All this AND Bowser too?!" Goombella asked.

"And now we have to deal with Pete too?!" Donald asked.

"Awwww, what's the matter, losers? Worn out from battle? This is easy pickings!" Pete said.

"Gwar har har har har har har har har! You're right on that, Fatso! Today's the day I finally flush a plumber down the drain and get my revenge on that stupid brat!" Bowser said.

"Ugh, let's get this over with!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade.

The group confront Bowser, Kammy Koopa, and Pete.

"Gwar har har har har har har har! What's a finale without a Bowser appearance? A cruddy finale! Now, hold still while I trounce you and take my Peach!" Bowser said.

"Mario! Sora! You sniveling bugs! This is it for you! Mweh heh heh heh heh heh!" Kammy Koopa said.

"Finally, I get to HUMILIATE you nimrods once and for all! Maleficent's gonna have a field day with THIS!" Pete said.

"Don't get too excited! You guys got beaten before and we'll take you on again!" Sora said and Mario nods.

Sora casts Thunder on Bowser, Kammy, and Pete while Mario uses Power Bounce on Kammy and jumps on the Magikoopa many times, but Bowser breathes fire at the group, dealing burning damage while Kammy casts a spell to make herself stronger while Pete goes for Sora and delivers a slamming attack, but Donald casts Blizzard at Kammy while Goombella uses Headbonk and bonks on Pete. Bowser delivers a jumping attack on Donald, making him not use his magic while Kammy uses her magic to cast lightning to strike at the group while Pete takes out a bomb and throws it at Goombella, dealing explosive damage, but Goofy uses Goofy Charge and strikes at Bowser, Kammy, and Pete while Koops uses Shell Slam and delivers his powerful shell strike at the three villains. Bowser retaliates with a bite attack on Koops, dealing poison damage while Kammy casts a spell to heal herself, Bowser, and Pete while Pete conjures a barrier to protect himself, but Flurrie uses Body Slam on Kammy while Tatsu uses Multi Egg and throws three eggs at Bowser and Kammy to weaken them. Bowser breathes more fire at the group while Kammy sends a magic blast to strike at Tatsu while Pete sends out mini bombs to explode on the group, but Vivian uses Fiery Jinx on the three villains to deal burning damage while Bobbery uses Bomb on Kammy while Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap on Pete, but Bowser jumps on Ms. Mowz to take away her abilities while Kammy casts her magic to make Pete stronger while Pete goes for Vivian and slams his fists on her.

Vivian uses Shade Fist on Kammy to deal burning damage while Koops uses Power Shell and strikes at the three villains as well, only for Pete to take out another big bomb and throws it at Koops, dealing explosive damage while Kammy sends out a magic blast at Vivian, but Flurrie uses Lip Lock on Pete and steals his health, only for Bowser to jump on Flurrie and take her abilities away. Ms. Mowz uses Tease to confuse Bowser, allowing Goofy to use Goofy Tornado to strike at both Bowser and Pete, but Kammy uses her magic to heal the two, only for Goombella to use Headbonk on the Magikoopa, but Bowser bites at Goombella to poison her while Pete sends out small bombs to deal exploding damage. Mario uses Quake Hammer to cause quaking damage on the three villains while Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes all over, getting the three villains as well and delivers the final dashing attack, but Bowser breathes fire at both Sora and Mario while Kammy casts more lightning magic to strike at the two while Pete delivers a slamming attack on Mario, who retaliates with Tornado Jump and delivers a tornado jump strike while Sora casts Blizzard at both Bowser and Kammy, dealing ice damage, but Bowser breathes more fire while Pete throws more bombs.

"Gwar har har har har har har har! I am FEELING it! Today might be the day!" Bowser cheered.

"Lord Bowser! Lord Bowser! Rah rah rah rah! Get 'em!" Kammy cheered.

"Hahahahaha! When this is over, Maleficent's gonna gimme a hefty reward! I can just see it!" Pete said.

"Don't count us out just yet!" Sora yelled.

"Yeah, we're still standing!" Goombella said.

Flurrie uses Dodgy Fog to make the group dodgy while Koops uses Shell Toss to strike at Bowser, who retaliates with jumping on Koops to take away his abilities while Pete conjures a barrier to protect Kammy, who uses her magic to heal herself and the two, but Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield at Bowser, who bites at the knight and poisons him. Ms. Mowz uses Smooch to heal Goofy while Vivian uses Fiery Jinx to deliver a fiery explosion on the three, dealing burning damage, but Pete sends out small bombs to deal exploding damage while Kammy casts another spell to make Bowser stronger, but Donald casts Aero to strike at the three villains, only for Bowser to breathe more fire to deal burning damage. Tatsu uses Stampede to make a herd of Yoshis run over the three villains, dealing damage while Goombella uses Multibonk on Bowser and bonks on the Koopa King many times, but Bowser tries to bite at Goombella, who manages to block, only for Pete to deliver a shoulder charging attack at the group while Kammy sends out two magic blasts at the group, but Bobbery uses Bomb Squad to send small bombs at the three and they explode. Pete conjures another barrier on Kammy, who casts a spell to make Bobbery weak while Bowser breathes more fire, but Sora uses Blizzard Raid and throws his ice coated Keyblade at the three four times and then delivers the final ice coated Keyblade throw while Mario uses Multibounce and jumps on Bowser, Pete, and Kammy, only for Bowser to try and jump on Mario while Pete tries to slam at Sora, but the two heroes use the Diamond Star to use Earth Tremor to cause quake damage on the three villains.

"Hmph, so, Mario and Sora! You still have some fight in ya! Not bad!" Bowser said.

"We're full of surprises!' Sora said, grinning.

"Well, that ends now, ya Keyblade brat!" Pete said.

Bowser tries to bite at the group to poison them while Kammy casts lightning at the group to strike them while Pete sends out small bombs to deal explosive damage, but Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap on Kammy while Bobbery uses Power Bomb to explode on the three villains, only for Pete to deliver a shoulder charge attack while Kammy casts a spell to make Bowser stronger, only for Vivian to use Shade Fist on Kammy, defeating her. Bowser jumps on Vivian, who manages to block, but Pete takes out two big bombs and throws them at the group to explode, but Tatsu uses Gulp to get Bowser and spits him out at Pete while Flurrie uses Lip Lock on Pete and steals some of his health, bit Pete retaliates with slamming at Flurrie while Bowser breathes more fire to deal burning damage on the group. Koops uses Shell Slam on both Bowser and Pete while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado and the two defeat Pete, only for Bowser to try and bite at both Koops and Goofy, but Donald casts Blizzard at the Koopa King while Goombella uses Headbonk and bonks on Bowser twice. Bowser breathes more fire to deal more burning damage, only for Mario to use Power Bounce and jumps on Bowser multiple times while Sora uses Blitz and delivers three leaping strikes at Bowser with his Keyblade, but Bowser tries to bite at Mario to deliver posion damage, but Mario retaliates with Power Smash and delivers a heavy strike with his hammer while Sora uses Ars Arcanum and delivers many bashes at Bowser with his Keyblade and then delivers the final Keyblade bash and they finish off Bowser, ending the fight with the trio of villains.

"Whew, that was an unexpecting turn of events." Sora said and Mario nods.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! How could this happen...?!" Bowser asked.

"No FAIR! I wanted to WIN for once...! Maleficent's gonna punish me...!" Pete said.

"Hoooo... That was hairy!" Goombella said.

"You said it! I still can't believe Pete was here the whole time!" Donald said.

"Yeah, not surprised he'd actually team up with Bowser." Sora said.

"Well, whatever. Least rocked their world!" Tatsu said.

"Agreed. These miscreants shan't trouble us further." Flurrie said.

"Since we've closed that chapter, let's get Peach." Vivian said and Mario nods.

"Huh?" Goofy asked, looking around.

"Stop gawking and let's go!" Donald yelled.

"But, where'd Grodus go?" Goofy asked.

"Huh?" Ms. Mowz asked.

"Wait, wasn't he under Bowser when he fell through here?" Koops asked, looking to see Grodus is gone.

"But if he's gone..." Sora was cut off by a scream.

"That was the Princess!" Bobbery said, as they see Grodus leaving through a hole behind the throne.

"Hey, get back here!" Sora yelled.

The group chase after through the throne room and head for the hole.

(Palace of Shadow-Underground Stairway)

The group are now in an underground stairway and go downstairs to chase Grodus and they find a door and open it, taking them somewhere else.

(Palace of Shadow-Queen's Tomb)

The group arrive at an underground tomb with many candles that light with orange flames.

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!" Peach screamed.

The group find Peach and Grodus, as they're near what looks like a coffin at the end of the tomb.

"Tood bad for you, Mario and Sora! You're too late!" Grodus said.

"What's goin' on?!" Donald demanded, taking out his staff.

"Let Peach go NOW!" Sora ordered, taking out his Keyblade.

"Gaack ack ack ack ack ack ack ack! Look well, fools! In the coffin behind me sleeps the legendary treasure! This tomb holds the soul of that ancient demon, the wielder of destruction... It will possess Peach's body and bring back the most powerful witch in millennia!" Grodus said, shocking the group.

"P-Possess...Peach...?" Koops asked.

"No way... It's just like when..." Sora stops talking, as he remembers Ansem possessing Riku in Hollow Bastion.

"Mario... Sora... I'm so sorry... Sending that map...caused all this trouble..." Peach said.

"Gaaack ack ack ack ack ack ack ack! With the power of the demon, no one will stop me from ruling this pathetic world! The world will be MINE at last!" Grodus said.

"Forget it!" Sora yelled, as the group try to attack.

"TIME STOP!" Grodus shouted, stopping the group. "Now, arise! ARISE, MY SHADOW QUEEN!" Grodus commanded, as he casts a spell to make the orange flames die and black flames appear on the candles.

Just then, the coffin opens, revealing to be what looks like a giant purple shadow witch with a giant crown emerging from the coffin.

In Rogueport, the sky begins to darken with shadows, much to everyone's confusion.

In Petalburg, shadows begin to darken the sky as well, much to the confusion of everyone.

"Uh... Er... Whuh... Wh-What's going on?" Mayor Kroop asked.

"The sky..." Koopie Koo stops talking.

In Boggly Woods, the sky darkens with shadows, as well as the Great Boggly Tree, much to the cofusion of the Punis.

"B-Brother...?" Petuni asked.

"The sky... It's..." Punio stops talking.

In Glitzville, the sky turns dark with shadows, as everyone looks around in confusion.

"What's all this...? The sky is...turning dark..." Jolene said.

In the Palace of Shadow, the Shadow Queen is revived.

"Who hasss called me back?" The Shadow Queen asked.

"It is I, my Shadow Queen!" Grodus said.

"You? Very well, where is the vessel?" The Shadow Queen asked.

"It is here! The girl, who lies before you!" Grodus said, addressing Peach.

"Yessss, a fine vessel. Now..." The Shadow Queen goes for Peach's body and begins to possess her.

In Twilight Town, a quake occurs, scaring the Twilighters.

"EEEEEEEEEEEK!" One of the Twilighters screamed.

In Keelhaul Key, as the quake occurs, Pa-Patch and the Toads run in fear.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH 'ELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Pa-Patch screamed.

In Poshley Heights, Pennington examines the quake going on.

"What's all this then?! Am I to deduce that this...is the end of the world?!" Pennigton asked.

In Fahr Outpost, the Bomb-ombs run in fear by the quake, which stops.

"What...was that? Something terrible has happened..." The Mayor said.

Somewhere in the Palace of Shadow, Frankly and Toadsworth feel a quake happen.

"Dear me... That was some earthquake..." Toadsworth said.

"No... This cannot be... Could the dark power have truly awakened?" Frankly asked.

"Does that mean they're too late...?" Toadsworth asked.

"No... Unthinkable!" Frankly said.

(Theme: Shadow Queen's Theme)

Back at the tomb, the Shadow Queen has full possession of Peach, as she's now wearing a black and dark purple dress with a black cloak, long dark grey gloves, red jewel in the center of the dress, and a dark gold crown.

"Muh huh huh huh huh huh... Witness my rebirth! My soul has not yet fully accustomed to this vessel... But I will learn to control this body soon enough..." The Shadow Queen said.

"P-Peach..." Vivian said.

"No..." Sora said.

"Yes, my glorious witch queen! Destroy these impudent fools!" Grodus commanded.

"Who are you to command ME? What sort of being are you?" The Shadow Queen asked.

"What?! I thought you were bound to obey anyone, who awoke you! Enough of this prattle! Do as I say or I shall send you to the DEPTHS!" Grodus threatened, but the Shadow Queen unleashes black lightning to destroy Grodus' body, leaving only his dome head.

"Wak! She destroyed him!" Donald said shocked.

"You would do well to learn your proper place, slave. NO ONE commands me!" The Shadow Queen said, using another black lightning bolt to destroy the dome head.

"Betrayed by his own plan..." Goombella said.

"My powers are not fully restored... But, they will come in time..." The Shadow Queen said.

"Just why is this happening?" Sora asked.

"My queen!" A voice said, as Beldam and Marilyn appear while Doopliss and Doopley arrive. "You have returned to us!" Beldam said.

"Ahhhh, Beldam... What ages have passed? So, you are truly the one, who has brought me back, yessss?" The Shadow Queen asked.

"Yes, my queen! I searched for a pure maiden you would inhabit. As I did, I spread the rumor of a great treasure. Then led the fools, who had gathered the Crystal Stars here to open the seal." Beldam said.

"Yessss, you have fulfilled your duties admirably." The Shadow Queen said.

"I am not worthy, my queen..." Beldam said.

The Shadow Queen sees the group.

"And who are these...beings that stand before me?" The Shadow Queen asked, as the group try to stand firm. "Yesssss, they do not appear to possess power, but they may be of some use. Become my faithful servants and I will not harm you." The Shadow Queen said.

"What do we do? We can't just serve her." Goofy asked.

"No way!" Goombella said.

"We're NOT gonna serve you! We're gonna stop you and get Peach back!" Sora said, pointing his Keyblade.

"I see... So you defy me... How...amusing... Then, you wretched fools... You shall see the error of your ways!" The Shadow Queen said.

(Boss Theme: Vs. Shadow Peach)

The group confront the Shadow Queen.

"You are fools to oppose me and that foolishness must be punished." The Shadow Queen said.

"Guys, I don't know if I wanna hurt Peach..." Sora said.

"I know what you mean, sweetie, but if we don't do something, the world's lost..." Ms. Mowz said.

"Just...don't think of it as Peach!" Donald said.

"Donald's right! We gotta fight with everything we have!" Vivian said.

Sora delivers three slashes at Shadow Peach with his Keyblad while Mario uses Spin Jump and delivers a double jumping attack while Donald casts Fire while Goombella uses Headbonk, but Shadow Peach unleashes black lightning at both Sora and Mario. Goofy uses Goofy Turbo and strikes at Shadow Peach while Koops uses Shell Toss, only for Shadow Peach to use magic to raise her attacks and defense. Flurrie uses Body Slam while Tatsu uses Multi Egg and throws three eggs to try and weaken the dark queen, who retaliates with summoning dark hands to grab Tatsu and send him into the darkness to deal damage, but Vivian uses Shade Fist to deal burning damage, only for Shadow Peach to unleash more black lightning to strike at the group. Bobbery uses Bomb to deal explosive damage on the dark queen while Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap and slaps many times, only for Shadow Peach to use dark hands to send the group into darkness to deal damage, but Mario uses Power Smash while Sora casts Thunder and strikes at the demon queen.

Shadow Peach uses her magic to raise more attack and defense, only for Goofy to use Goofy Tornado while Koops uses Shell Slam, but Shadow Peach unleashes more black lightning at the group, but Bobbery uses Bomb Squad to send out small bimbs to explode, but Shadow Peach uses dark hands to send the group into darkness to damage them. Vivian uses Fiery Jinx to deliver a fiery explosion to deal burning damage while Flurrie uses Lip Lock to steal some of the queen's health, only for Shadow Peach to conjure a giant shadow hand to deliver a slamming attack, but Tatsu uses Ground Pound and multi strikes at the demon queen, who retaliates with unleashing more black lightning. Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap while Donald casts Blizzard, only for Shadow Peach to raise more attacks and defense, but Goombella uses Multibonk and bonks on the dark queen multiple times, but Shadow Peach uses dark hands to send the group into the darkness again to deal more damage. Mario uses Ultra Jump and jumps high into the air and delivers a powerful double jump while Sora uses Blitz and delivers three leaping strikes with his Keyblade.

"Peach, you have to fight the darkness!" Sora said.

"Hmm... So, you are not weak. Maybe you are less useless than you appear..." The Shadow Queen said.

"Enough, give Peach back!" Donald yelled.

"This body is too unfamiliar to me... Yesss, TOO unfamiliar... Let me assume my true form and show you true power..." The Shadow Queen said, as she transforms and unleashes her shadow soul.

"Oh, no..." Vivian said.

"This does not look good.." Bobbery said.

(Boss Theme: Vs. Shadow Queen Phase 2)

"In this form, your attacks are like those of a child to me. Be honored... You will perish with the honor of having seen true terror and power! Muh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh!" The Shadow Queen said.

"We're not gonna back down because you changed form!" Sora said and Mario nods.

Sora delivers three slashes with his Keyblade while Mario delivers two jumping attacks, but their attacks do nothing, so Donald casts Blizzard while Goombella uses Headbonk, but still nothing.

"Our attacks...aren't doing anything..." Sora said.

"Was this you idea of an attack? Foolish!" The Shadow Queen said, as she summons black lightning to attack the group.

Goofy uses Goofy Tornado while Koops uses Shell Toss, but their attacks do nothing, as the Shadow Queen uses her shadow hands to slam at the two and then unleashes more black lightning, only for Flurrie to use Body Slam while Tatsu uses Ground Pound, but their attacks still do nothing.

"It's not workin'! Our attacks ain't doin' nothin'!" Goofy said.

"Muh huh huh huh huh huh! Now witness true power!" The Shadow Queen said, as she uses her shadow hands to slam at the group again and then unleashes a breath attack to unleash poison.

Vivian uses Shade Fist while Bobbery uses Bomb while Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap, but their attacks still do nothing, as the Shadow Queen uses her shadow hands to slam at the group and unleashes more black lightning to strike at the group, but Mario attacks with his hammer while Sora triple attacks with his Keyblade, but still nothing.

"Muh huh huh huh huh huh! What troublesome little pests you are..." The Shadow Queen said, using her shadow hands to drain the group's health, healing herself.

"I...feel weak..." Koops said.

"She did something to us..." Donald said.

"Muh huh huh huh huh huh! I have recovered from any slight damage you may have caused earlier. Now...you will be punished for your resistance..." The Shadow Queen said.

"What should we do? This can't be the end?" Flurrie asked.

"No... There has to be way to stop her!" Sora said.

Unknowing to them, the hooded Organization member watches from behind to see the group struggle against the Shadow Queen.

"Well, well, could this be the end of Kid Keyblader? If he's gone, this could derail our plans... Still, let's see how this'll end." The hooded Organization member said, vanishing in his dark corridor.

"I will ask you again... Will you serve me? If so, I will forgive you for this." The Shadow Queen said.

"Serve you, yeah, right!" Goombella scoffed.

"Are we to truly betray the ones, who believe in us?" Flurrie asked.

"I told you, we're NOT serving you and never will! We will find a way to defeat you!" Sora said and Mario nods.

"Muh huh huh huh huh huh... Very well. You will perish." The Shadow Queen said.

Just then, a bright light occurs around the tomb.

"Huh?" Goofy asked.

"What...? What IS this?" The Shadow Queen asked, as the Crystal Stars leave Sora and Mario.

"The Crystal Stars?" Sora asked.

"What's goin' on?" Tatsu asked, as the Crystal Stars fly out of the tomb.

In Rogueport, a light circle appears around the gallow, as the seven Crystal Stars gather around and fly into the dark sky.

The Diamond Star returns to Petalburg.

"Hmm, what's this shiny thing?" Kroop asked.

"Mayor, it's the Crystal Star! But I thought Mario and Sora had that thing." Koops' dad said.

"Hmm, I wonder, kids, if this is related to the sky getting dark and whatnot..." Kroop said.

"Hmm, you may be right, but I don't know... But if anything's happened to my boy Koops, Mario, and Sora..." Koops' dad stops talking.

"Oh, dear... Koops, you're okay, right? You promised you'd come home..." Koopie Koo said.

The Emerald Star returns to Boggly Woods in the Great Boggly Tree.

"The Crystal Star!" Punio said.

"What in the world...? What's THAT doing here? This is mysterious, VERY mysterious..." The Puni Elder said.

"Snap out of it, Elder!" Punio said.

"Brother! Mario and Sora are in trouble! That's what the Crystal Star's here to tell us! I KNOW it!" Petuni said.

"...You might be right, Petuni! I can hear it! The Crystal Star's trying to tell us! It's telling us Mario and Sora are trying to save the world and they're in trouble!" Punio said.

"Mario, Sora, Flurrie! C'mon, Don't gove up!" Petuni cheered.

"Yeah! You can do it, guys!" Punio cheered, as the other Punis cheer as well.

The Gold Star returns to Glitzville.

"Gonzales... Knight... No, Mario and Sora... I know you're fighting far away now. For us... The Crystal Star has told us of your last and brave stand..." Jolene said.

"We can't do much to help you, but we're thinking of you. All of our wishes are for you... For your victory." Prince Mush said.

"Unh! Yeah! Yeah! Feel it! RAWK out, Gonzales and Knight! RAAAAAAAAAWK! Listen to me, Gonzales and Knight! Anybody, who's beat are not ALLOWED to lose!" Rawk Hawk said.

"That's right! You! Star! Tell those shrimps that beat us never give in!" Red Harrier said.

"FIIIIIIIIIIGHT!" Green Harrier said.

"We're sendin' you guys all our strength, G-Man and K-Man! You feelin' the love, my men? GONZALES! KNIGHT!" King K. cheered.

"Fight on, Mario, Sora!" Jolene said.

The Ruby Star returns to Twilight Town.

"Don't you give up, Mario and Sora!" Dour said, as the Twilighters cheer.

"Yeah, never give in!" One of the Twilighters said.

"Mario... Sora... You two may feel like it's getting rough, like the tides have shifted against you, but if you lose, the world will plunge into darkness. Don't give in!" Another Twilighter said.

"Vivian was her name, right? I'm a bit worried about the girl that was with Mario and Sora... She seemed so innocent..." Another Twilighter said.

"They'll be fine, all of you. Mario and Sora will never give up! Those two will stand true. I still remember how they took care of those monsters that cursed us. We must have faith in them. We must believe...that light will return in our world." Dour said, as the Twilighters keep cheering.

The Sapphire Star returns to Keelhaul Key.

"Mario, Sora, don't give up!" One of the Toads cheer, as well as the other Toads.

"C'mon, you bilge pumps! I can't bloomin' 'ear you!" Pa-Patch said.

"Fight, Bobbery! FIIIIIIGHT!" The first Toad cheered and the other two Toads cheer as well.

"ONCE MORE!" Pa-Patch shouted.

"GO! GO! GO!" The first Toad cheered and the other two Toads cheer again.

"Admiral Bobbery! Show them what a real sea bomb's made of, mate!" Pa-Patch cheered.

The Garnet Star returns to Poshley Heights.

"I hope they're doing okay..." Silverbob said.

"Do not fear, my dear! Luigi and his sidekick are my finest pupils! I'm quite sure they'll prevail!" Pennington said.

"Well, I worry nontheless... I so hope there is a future in which my little Bub can grow and prosper..." Silverbob said.

"Well then, I suppose all we can do is give them a rousing cheer, hm? Yes, I'm quite sure they can hear us through this star." Goldbob said.

"Right on, Dad! GO, GONZALES! GO, KNIGHT!" Bub cheered.

"Mario, Sora, you lovely things..." Toodles said.

"Huh? M-Mario? S-Sora? G-Gonzales? Kn-Knight? N-Not Luigi? And is this Sora not his sidekick?" Pennington asked.

The Crystal Ctar returns to Fahr Outpost.

"We are assembled, Mayor!" One of Bomb-ombs said.

"Da!" The Mayor said, as they go for a row of Bomb-ombs. "Good work, my comrades! Now, let us do it! Ready and..." The Mayor stops talking.

"MARIOOOOOOO! SORAAAAAAA!" The Bomb-ombs cheered.

"Mario... Sora... You both can do it!" The Mayor said.

In the Palace of Shadow, the group begin hearing cheers of many people across the world.

"What's goin' on?" Donald asked.

"I hear voices..." Koops said.

"Yeah, me too... They're so many..." Sora said, as the cheers go on.

"Gawrsh, it's almost like they're rootin' for us." Goofy said.

"Yeah! They're sending us their positive energy and wishes!" Goombella said.

"Very incredible..." Flurrie said.

"Just what ARE these wretched voices...?" The Shadow Queen asked.

"Hey, look!" Vivian said, pointing at something, as a light appears around the Shadow Queen.

"What is this...light?!" The Shadow Queen asked, as the light surrounds Peach's body.

"Mario... Sora..." A voice said.

"Huh? That voice..." Sora said.

"Peach?" Ms. Mowz asked.

Peach's spirit appears to the group.

"Mario... Sora... I..." Peach stops talking.

"WHAT?! You wretched girl! You DARE disobey ME?!" The Shadow Queen demanded.

"Mario... Sora... Take... Take the last of my power..." Peach said, as she uses her power to heal the group entirely.

"WOW!" Sora said.

"I feel BURSTING with energy!" Tatsu said.

"You brat! Obey me at once!" The Shadow Queen yelled.

"Farewell, Mario... Sora... I believe in you..." Peach said, as she disappears.

"PEACH!" Sora said.

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Very cunning, Princess! No one will undo ME! Know me as your QUEEN!" The Shadow Queen yelled.

"Guys, let's do this! This is our final stand!" Sora said and Mario nods.

(Boss Theme: Vs. Shadow Queen Final Phase)

The group confront the Shadow Queen for the final battle.

"This is it!" Donald said.

"Let's finish this!" Goombella said.

"ENOUGH! This ends NOW!" The Shadow Queen shouted.

Sora uses Blitz and strikes at the Shadow Queen three times with his Keyblade while Mario uses Power Jump and delivers a very powerful jump while Goombella uses Rally Wink on Sora, who casts Blizzard while Donald casts Fire, dealing burning damage while Koops uses Shell Toss while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado while Flurrie uses Body Slam while Tatsu uses Ground Pound while Vivian uses Shade Fist while Bobbery uses Bomb while Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap and they do damage to the demon queen.

"Impossible! How can you HARM ME?!" The Shadow Queen asked.

"Ha! Now we got your number!" Sora said, grinning.

"Time to suffer, Queen!" Vivian said.

"FOOOOOOOOOOOOLS!" The Shadow Queen shouted.

The Shadow Queen unleashes black lightning at the group and then uses dark hands to drag the group into the darkness, damaging them, but Sora casts Thunder at both the Shadow Queen and her dark hands while Mario uses Fire Drive and sends a fireball with his hammer, dealing burning damage while Goombella uses Headbonk and delivers her bonking attack, but the Shadow Queen retaliates with using her shadow hands to slam at the group. Donald casts Blizzard, dealing ice damage while Koops uses Power Shell to strike at the evil queen, who unleashes more black lightning to strike at the group and then uses her shadow hands to steal some of the groups' health to heal herself, only for Vivian to use Fiery Jinx to unleash her fiery explosion and deal burning damage on the Queen and her hands. The Shadow Queen raises her attack and defense and then uses her breath to deal poion damage on the group, but Mz. Mows uses Smooch to heal the group while Tatsu uses Multi Egg and throws three eggs to weaken the Queen, who strikes back with using her shadow hands to drag the group into the darkness to deal damage, but Bobbery uses Bomb Squad to send mini bombs to explode. The Shadow Queen unleashes more black lightning and then sends her shadow hands to rush at the group to do damage, only for Goofy to use Goofy Turbo to strike at the Queen and her shadow hands while Flurrie uses Lip Lock and steals some of the evil queen's health, but the Shadow Queen uses her hands to slam at the group, only for Sora and Mario to use the Diamond Star to us Earth Tremor and deliver a powerful quake attack.

"Muh huh huh huh huh huh! You do not know what you have done!" The Shadow Queen said, as she powers herself up.

"Oh, no! Look out!" Vivian said, as she uses Veil to get the group under.

"Prepare to DIE!" The Shadow Queen yelled, as she gathers dark magic and unleashes a powerful wave of darkness, but fails to attack the group.

The group return to the surface, only for the Shadow Queen to use her shadow hands to steal some of the group's health to heal herself, but Bobbery uses Super Bomb and explodes on the Queen while Flurrie uses Body Slam, but the Shadow Queen retaliates with using her breath to try and get the group to sleep, but manage to block and Tatsu uses Stampede to send a herd of Yoshis to charge at the Shadow Queen and deal damage. The Shadow Queen unleashes more black lightning and then uses her dark hands to send the group down to darkness to deal damage, but Koops uses Shell Slam while Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield, but the Shadow Queen charges her attack again, making Vivian use Veil once more to get the group under, as the evil queen charges dark magic and unleashes her wave of darkness, but fails to attack. Ms. Mowz uses Tease to try and confuse the Queen, allowing Donald to cast Aero to strike at both the Queen and her shadow hands, only for the Shadow Queen to use her shadow hands to steal some of the group's health again, but Goombella uses Multibonk and bonks on the evil queen many times. The Shadow Queen raises her attacks and defense and then uses her shadow hands to slam at the group, only for Mario to use Power Smash with his hammer while Sora uses Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade four times and then delivers the final Keyblade throw, only for the Shadow Queen to unleash more black lightning and then uses her poison breath, only for Sora and Mario to use the Ruby Star to use Art Attack and draw circles to do damage.

The Shadow Queen uses her shadow hands to run down at the group again to deal more damage, only for Flurrie to use Dodgy Fog to make the group more dodgy while Vivian uses Shade Fist and deals burning damage, but the Shadow Queen retaliates with using her shadow hands to slam at the group and then uses her shadow hands to drag them into the darkness to deal damage, but Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap and slaps at the demon queen many times. The Shadow Queen unleashes more black lightning and then uses her breath attack to try and make the group sleep, only for Goombella to use Headbonk while Bobbery uses Bomb and deals exploding damage, but the Shadow Queen charges her attack once more, only for Koops to use his Shell Shield to protect the group, as she charges her dark magic and sends out her dark wave to deal massive damage. Tatsu uses Ground Pound and multi strikes at the Shadow Queen while Donald casts Fire to deal burning damage, but the Shadow Queen raises her attack and defense and then uses her shadow hands to steal some of the group's health, only for Goofy to use Goofy Charge and attacks the Queen and her dark hands, but the Shadow Queen uses her shadow hands to slam at the group and then sends her shadow hands to run down at the group to deal damage. Sora casts Thunder to strike at the Queen and the shadow hands while Mario uses Ice Hammer and deals ice damage with his hammer, only for the Shadow Queen to charge her dark magic attack once again, but Sora and Mario use the Garnet Star to use Showstopper and deliver a powerful bashing blast attack, dealing great damage.

"Muh huh huh huh... No... This...cannot...be..." The Shadow Queen said.

The Shadow Queen gathers her dark magic and then sends out her dark magic wave to deal excellent damage on the group, but Ms. Mowz uses Love Slap and slaps the dark queen many times while Bobbery uses Power Bomb and deals excellent exploding damage on both the Queen and her hands, but the Shadow Queen uses her shadow hands to slam at the group and then sends them into darkness to deal damage, only for Vivian to use Fiery Jinx and unleashes her fiery explosion to deal burning damage. The Shadow Queen unleashes black lightning and then unleashes her poison breath to poison the group, only for Tatsu to use Stampede to send his herd of Yoshis to charge at the evil queen and the hands while dealing damage while Flurrie uses Lip Lock and steals some of the wicked queen's health, but the Shadow Queen raises her attack and defense and then slams the group with her shadow hands. Koops uses Shell Slam and delivers his powerful shell attack on the Queen and her hands while Goombella uses Multibonk and bonks many times, but the Shadow Queen unleashes more black lightning and then sends her shadow hands to run down at the group, only for Goofy to use Goofy Tornado while Donald casts Thunder to strike at the Queen and the hands, but the Shadow Queen charges her dark magic attack once again. Sora and Mario use the Crystal Star to use Supernova and unleash a very powerful explosion attack, dealing excellent damage on the Shadow Queen, who retaliates with gathering more dark magic and sends out her dark wave attack on the group. Mario uses Ultra Jump and jumps high in the air and delivers his powerful double jump while Sora uses Ragnarok and delivers a power aerial slash with his Keyblade and then fires powerful magic rays at both the Shadow Queen and her shadow hands and they deliver the final attack on the Shadow Queen, ending the final battle.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" The Shadow Queen screamed in defeat.

"And just like that, light prevails over darkness!" Sora said, grinning while Mario nods.

"I can't believe it... We did it!" Koops said.

"Oh, boy!" Donald cheered, jumping up and down.

"Impossible... Unthinkable... How could I... I cannot be defeated by lesser beings such as these...! I had just been reborn in this world... I cannot... I must not..." The Shadow Queen said.

"Oh, it's over for you, Shadow Queen! Darkness will NOT take over the world!" Sora said.

"You fool...! Your light may have prevailed... But in the end...darkness is always endless...! AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEE!" The Shadow Queen screamed.

"MY QUEEN!" Beldam cried.

"GUUUUUUUUUUH!" Marilyn cried.

The Shadow Queen vanishes into darkness while Peach's body falls to the ground, as her black dress is back to her pink one while the black flames on the candles disappear, as the orange flames return.

"It's over..." Goombella said.

"Finally..." Vivian said.

"NOOOOO! Let's get out of here, Marilyn!" Beldam said, as she sinks into the ground.

"Guh-huh!" Marilyn said, as she also sinks into the ground.

"C'mon, Doopley! We're outta here!" Doopliss said.

"Yeah, okay!" Doopley said, as they leave the tomb.

"Princess Peach!" Sora said, as she walks over to the unconscious princess and examines her.

"Is she okay?" Ms. Mowz asked.

"Hey, Mario, good news! Peach is okay! She's not even hurt!" Sora said, grinning, making Mario jump for joy.

"What good news this is!" Bobbery said.

Just then, Peach wakes up.

"Mario... Sora... It's all over then..." Peach said.

"Yeah, it is." Vivian said and Mario nods.

"I'm so sorry, everyone... Who knew all this would happen?" Peach asked.

"You have nothing to apologize for!" Flurrie said.

"Yeah, none of this your fault, Princess. We didn't even know about all this." Goofy said.

"What matters is it's all over." Sora said, grinning.

"Thank you! All of you!" Peach said.

"It's still too bad that whole treasure thing was bogus..." Tatsu said.

"Yeah, Beldam lied about the whole thing!" Donald said, crossing his arms.

"Ah-hah! There you are!" A voice said, as they see Frankly and Toadsworth arriving at the tomb.

"Hey, you guys're okay!" Goombella said.

"Yes, quite!" Toadsworth said.

"Can you believe those brutes?! They came after two old people!" Frankly said.

"But we still made it here. The Professor and I were so worried, you had no idea." Toadsworth said.

"By the look of things, I'd say we're in the clear! You kids are the real thing!" Frankly said.

"And you guys seemed to make it alright too." Sora said.

"Yes, indeed, my boy and I'm so happy to see the Princess is safe as well." Toadsworth said.

"So, anyway... Without further ado... Take a good look at THIS!" Frankly said, taking out a big chest.

"No way...! That's..." Koops stops talking.

"Yes, we found this on the way here! This must be the treasure we heard rumors about! My theory has been correct all these years! There really WAS a legendary treasure!" Frankly said.

"Oh, boy!" Donald cheered.

"That is SUPER awesome!" Goombella said.

"I'd say all's well that ends well." Goofy said and Mario nods.

"Now, with everything accomplished, shall we leave this wretched place?" Toadsworth asked.

"Agreed." Flurrie said.

"Let's go home, everyone..." Peach said.

Later, it's nighttime in Rogueport and everyone is on the docks, as Mario, Peach, and Toadsworth are ready to leave.

"So, you're leaving then?" Frankly asked and Mario nods. "That's a shame. Having you around really did wonders on my research." Frankly said.

"Oh, Professor, we'd never let you monopolize Mario and Sora for your research anyway! After all, you DID say I could be your research assistant for the next term!" Goombella said.

"Hmm, yes, that's right. Thank you, Goombella." Frankly said.

"Sora, Donald, Goofy, you have to be leaving too, right?" Peach asked.

"Yeah, we still have to take on Organization XIII and we still gotta find Riku and the King." Sora said.

"We gotta skedaddly really soon." Goofy said.

"Hey, look!" Donald said, pointing at the treasure glowing.

"This is..." Sora stops talking, as his Keyblade appears.

The crown symbol appears under Sora, as he's in a twilight space, as the treasure reveals what looks like a keyhole and Sora uses his Keyblade to unlock it, creating a bright light.

"Huh? What is going on then?" Frankly asked.

"Well, time to go! A new path's opened and it's time to continue our own adevnture." Sora said.

"We'll miss ya guys, but I had lotsa fun!" Goofy said and Mario nods.

"Mario... Sora... Donald... Goofy... Even after you leave this place. please don't forget about us. We, in turn, will wish that you find all the best in your future." Frankly said.

"NEVER ever give up, Mario and Sora! That's the most important thing I learned from you guys! Thanks for everything! Just promise you'll think of me now and again." Goombella said.

"Ummm... Mario... Sora... Thanks to you guys, I finally found courage and inner strength. I dunno how to say this, but...I think I like myself more since I've known you guys. I also feel closer to my dad. It's really hard to put in words, so...thank you!" Koops said.

"My dear, dear Mario and Sora... Because of this adventure, I feel like I'm ready to make my comeback in the theater! This journey has given me many things to express on stage! With these new themes, I am so ready for that wonderful spotlight once more! Please do come see me once we've finished rehearsing! Bring Peach too, of course!" Flurrie said.

"Gonazles... Knight... No, I gotta stop doing that! You're Mario and Sora! No matter what, you'll always be Gonzales and Knight to me! I was born in the Glitz Pit and Gonzales and Knight are and always will be the CHAMPS! Let's meet again, guys and I mean it!" Tatsu said.

"Uhhh, Mario, Sora... Thank you two for being so kind to me... Sora, I feel like I'm starting to lo... No, never mind. Your heart is for someone else, I'm sure... And, Mario, I think you and Peach make a good couple. I'll never forget my time traveling with you two. Don't forget me either, okay?" Vivian said.

"Well, old boys...it was most agreeable that I had the chance to meet you. If not for you, then my dear Scarlette would still gaze down on a broken bomb... Now, I'm off to sea once again! I know Scarlette would have wanted it that way... Let's see each other again, Mario and Sora and this time, let it be on the high seas!" Bobbery said.

"Well, it's time to depart, my little cheese hunk and my cheese boy...but this is not a farewell. You're all welcome here anytime. Since you're welcome, you should come see me anytime you please, sweeties! You boys be careful and until then, adieu!" Ms. Mowz said.

"Well, the boat's coming." Toadsworth said.

"MARIOOOOO! SORAAAAA!" A voice called.

"Huh?" Sora asked, as he sees Punio and Petuni arrive carrying mushrooms.

"We made it!" Punio said.

"Punio, Petuni." Donald said.

"Take these with you! We brought 'em so you'd have something to eat while you go." Punio said.

"They're very fresh too!" Petuni said.

"Heh, thanks, guys!" Sora said, as he, Donald, Goofy, Mario, and Peach take the mushrooms.

"Everyone... If not for all of you, the world would have fallen into a horrible darkness, but your brave hearts strove for peace...and saved this world! I don't know how to thank you, but know that the entire world is in your debt!" Peach said.

"What? Nonsense! We're the ones, who should be thanking you, Princess! If you hadn't come to this town, we'd all be puppets for the Shadow Queen and Grodus and even worse, the Heartless! That thought gives me hives!" Frankly said.

"Look! Your Highness! The boat!" Toadsworth said.

"Well, guess this is it, Mario! I promise, we'll meet again and work together if something happens!" Sora said, taking out his hand, but Mario gives the boy a hug instead, so Sora returns the hug while Donald and Goofy join in.

The boat arrives at the dock and Mario, Peach, and Toadsworth get on the boat, which departs.

"Well, there they go." Donald said.

"Guys, thanks for everything! No matter what, you guys are in here!" Sora said placing his hand on his chest.

"We'll sure miss ya, but I'm sure we'll come back one day!" Goofy said.

"Yeah! I had a lotta fun!" Donald said.

"Sora, Donald, Goofy, thank you all for what you have done for this wretched town... We cannot simply thank you enough!" Frankly said.

"Take care, guys!" Goombella said.

"Never give up on your goals!" Koops said.

"Do come back anytime, dearies!" Flurrie said.

"Next time we meet, Knight, I wanna fight ya one day!" Tatsu said.

"I'll really miss you guys..." Vivian said.

"If life blasts at you, blast right back, old boys!" Bobbery said.

"Tee hee! Until next time!" Ms. Mowz said.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy leave the docks, as the rest watch them leave and later, Sora, Donald, and Goofy head for the Gummi ship.

"You guys ready?" Sora asked.

"Yep!" Donald said.

"Ya know, the start of it was kinda rough, but I think I'll miss this place." Sora said.

"Don'tcha worry! We can come back and visit Goombella and everyone again!" Goofy said and Donald nods.

"Yeah." Sora said, smiling.

The trio get on the Gummi ship, as they prepare to depart from Rogueport.

Mario and Peach are on the boat, as it sails for the Mushroom Kingdom.

"They are all such lovely people, aren't they? I don't have much good memories of Rogueport, what with the kidnapping and all...but it really is a vibrant town full of love for life." Peach said and Mario nods. "Mario, I was frightened when the X-Nauts took me, but TEC was really there for me and helped me get through it all. I always knew you'd come and help me as well. Same for Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Thank you, Mario... I should start listening to Toadsworth from now on." Peach said and sees something, which is the sun rising. "Mario, look! Rogueport's shining! It's beautiful!" Peach said, watching the sun rise.

As the Gumi ship departs from Rogueport, Goofy sees the sun shining.

"Sora, look!" Goofy said.

"Huh?" Sora asked, looking at the sun rising. "Heh, I guess there's a light in a dim place..." Sora said, grinning and watches Mario's boat sailing across the water while the ship leaves the world of Mushroom Kingdom.

Well, there's the eighth and final chapter for the story and boy, oh, boy, was this a VEEEEEERY LONG one! Very fitting to make it as epic as possible! The end has come for ths story and I had a lotta fun writing this with two of my fave games. I hope you enjoyed this story as a whole as well and had a very ride as I did!
