I sign thinking about school I didn't want to go back not now I grab a candle putting it down on my dresser I look out my window seeing flames going up big flames I went in the hallway
"Marilla what's going on?" I ask her
"Grab your jacket and put water in the bucket there's a fire in town time to get it out" Marilla said
I did As told and got plenty of water and put in the cart as we made our way to um...Gilbert House?...
"its the Gilbert house?" I ask Marilla
" Well Yes " Marilla said
Oh no oh no no I thought The boy who called me carrots is In trouble I thought We reach the house Diana , Ruby, Billy, Matthew, Jerry , Rachel, and other town tried to help the house go down
"What's going on?" I asked
"Gilbert house on fire they tried to lower it down" Diana said I saw Marilla standing next to John Blyth ... Covers I thought and ran inside the house with covers
"Anne! No no no no! Come back ... ANNE!" Diana scream
"Diana what's wrong" Her mother ask her
"Anne went inside the House" Diana said
"Oh boy" Rachel said
I went who I think what's Gilbert room looking
"Anne?" Gilbert said through the window putting out water
"what's something you need ... Quick!" I said
"My family portrait of my mom..." He trail off I didn't let him finish as I got it I put covers down I went downstairs and saw a gold medal pack away I got that too and put it in my dress pocket I quickly got out the house landing on the floor
"what's happening" Matthew said
" What's Happening " Jerry said
" I tried to stop the flames ... Covering the door helps" I said couching Marilla patted my back

" Now I know you guys clothes are burn dust so Matthew will give you clothes to lend tomorrow we will go shopping I'll push John so no school tomorrow " Marilla said

"Well you did" He smirk ill wipe that smirk off I heard the water go on I felt my pockets I took out the pictures portrait and the gold medal That will wait I'll give to him for Christmas as Christmas coming up I layed in my bed candles on I put the medel in my closet I heard the water stop he out out wearing Matthew clothes his hair was still wet its better that way your hair I thought out loud
"Thanks" I heard Gilbert say

" I heard you said you said You liked my hair wet" Gilbert said smirked I threw a pillow at him
"Three pillows nice" He said putting it down on his bed he went to lay on his stomach turning his head towards me looking at me
"Was you able to save my family portrait" Gilbert ask
"Yes" I said handing it to him he took it looking at it
"thanks I don't know what I'll do if it burn down" Gilbert said

"Anne..." he said

" When are you planning to go back to school ", Gilbert said

" and what about Billy he teases me calling me dog... Where's you collar... Eat this and that" I said
" don't tell anyone this but he's just doing that because he likes you he told the group one time I was pissed I wanted to fight him he calls you dog because your tough " Gilbert said
" Well he doesnt show it" I said huffing
"Because he never will he doesn't show feelings he just do I want him to like you", Gilbert said
" I pay him no attention anyways" I said
" Can you come back to school its lonely there with BIlly mess " Gilbert said
"the girls will see me talking to you", I said
" Let them you don't have to follow there rules Hell they don't follow there own rules Prissy talks to the teacher... And Ruby tried to talk to me as I said no they are doing you wrong its not fair and Diana even talk to Moody when your not there plus you have me" Gilbert said
" Fine ok... Just don't make it obvious oh and we shared lunch trade... " I said
"me to ill share my sweet bread I made homemade" Gilbert said
"I'll love to with jelly and butter" I said yawning
