Hello, my lovely readers. I know it has been quite a while since I have written anything. my motivation has been zero to none and life has been throwing me into the ground. But I am back and with a short story that is literally going to be nothing but fluff and lemons. I am working on other actual stories but I hope you guys enjoy this one for now.
This will be a mix of different characters and pairings. If you don't like it, then don't read it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, that right stays with JK Rowling.
Chapter 1
The brunette speeds through the halls of Hogwarts, her destination clear in her mind as she clutches the fading parchment tightly in her hand. The note had been clear and straight to the point, like most things with him tend to be. Her heart thumps wildly in her chest as her mind races about what he could want with her at this hour.
For 5 years she has been roaming these halls, when her insomnia became too much or if the girls in the dorm became too much to handle. Almost every night she is roaming these historic halls but about a year ago changed everything for the Gryffindor.
FLASHBACK
Hermione was staring down at the crowded entrance hall as students flocked in and out, some standing in group chatting as everyone waited for the doors to the Great Hall to open. Things had been going weird all year as two foreign school breached the halls of Hogwarts. One particular boy our of both of the foreign schools had packed up the courage to ask her to the Yule Ball, his excitement over her acceptance only visible in his eyes. His heels clicked together as her hand had been taken in his, a soft brushing of his lips along her soft skin and pulled a faint blush to her cheeks.
However, now, standing at the top of the stairs, her chocolate eyes scanning the crowd for the Bulgarian, her stomach starts to sink as she realizes in horror that he is not there to escort her. Feeling nausea start to set in, she grips the railing of the banister, ready to turn tail and flee back to her dorms, a familiar blonde Slytherin raises it upon himself. He strides to the bottom of the stairs and turns his eyes up to lock eyes with her, an almost magnetic pulled passes between them and it causes her to slow take the first step down the staircase. She gingerly and elegantly glares down towards him, her eyes never leaving his as he graces her with a rare but genuine smile. She reaches the bottom of the stairs and he bows to her in typical Malfoy tradition, turning so his arm is extended out to her. A pleasant smile spreads across her face as she links her arm with his and they slowly started walking towards the Great Hall.
"Thank you for the save Draco, I was about to turn tail and run." She whispers the words to him, her eyes darting around the entrance, painfully aware that all eyes were on them. He pulls her closer to him and let's out a gentle sigh, his eyes never leaving the great mahogany double doors in front of him.
"I couldn't let the most beautiful girl here tonight walk out on the ball now could I?" He no longer cares that their friendship is now out in the open. He didn't care that their friends were now staring at them with looks of betrayal. All that mattered tonight is them, and the fact that they can now openly be around each other after tonight despite what others may think.
As his words sink in, she turns her head towards him with a bright blush tainting her already rosy cheeks. They stop just behind Fleur and her date as they wait for the doors to open. The hall is deadly silent as, at least, the doors creek open and the champions, save for Draco, start striding down the makeshift isle created by the other students. There are audible gasps around the room as they spot the two most known enemies walking down the isle together, arm and arm. The Gryffindor can feel piercing eyes on her, knowing that Harry, whom is right behind them with Padma and Ron, who is blended into the crowd with Pavarti, are probably boring holes into her, attempting to set her on fire.
Draco leads them to a clear spot on the dance floor away from the other champions and turns her to face him. He gives her a reassuring smile as they take up their positions. Draco gently grasps her waist with one hand as her delicate one slips onto his shoulder. He takes her other smaller one within his as their arms gently extend to the side in a comfortable and relaxed pose. She smiles lightly back to him as their eyes lock and everyone seems to fade away. The music starts and Draco starts leading them around the dance floor in a delicate but gracefully glide, avoiding the other champions as if they weren't there.
The rational side of Draco's mind screams at him that exposing their friendship wasn't the brightest idea but he shuts it off in favor of the more mushy side that tells him he couldn't leave the gorgeous girl to be embarrassed. Krum standing her up was unexpected but the way she is looking at him now tells him that she isn't particularly bothered by it.
Hermione effortlessly glides with the handsome man holding her, proud that the private lessons she had been taking with Draco, under the watchful eye of the potion master, are paying off. She was going to use the lessons for her dance with Krum but in the face of her embarrassment, her happiness to be with Draco outweighs the stand up.
For the next four hours, Hermione and Draco dance to the upbeat music like no one is watching, broad grins on their faces as they enjoy the relaxing atmosphere around them. At one point, the music had slowed down to a slow song, her arms slithering around his neck as his snake around her waist, pulling her flush against him. With the look she is giving him now, the flush of her cheeks, the broad smile, and the twinkle of happiness within her eyes causes Draco's heart to clench painfully. Unable to hold back his instinct, he slowly leans down towards her, carefully watching her reaction for any signs that she wants him to stop. When he doesn't find any, he carefully touches his lips to hers, the contact sending sparks through his body, eliciting a shiver to run down his spine.
Hermione bites back the moan that is trying to escape as her and Draco's lips touch at last. The feeling is unlike anything she has felt before as her arms tighten and she feels his tighten around her waist. The electricity shooting down her spine causes her grip onto him tighter as she gently nibbles on his bottom lips, a groan slipping from his throat. With great difficulty, he pulls his mouth from hers, leaning his forehead gently against hers as they catch their breath. Her eyes chocolate eyes open to meet his storm grey ones and the passion she finds behind the swirling storm causes her breath to hitch. Draco leans back slightly as they start back swaying to the music, a nervous grin displaying itself on his face.
"Hermione," he starts as his nerves started to get the better of him. "Would you do me the great honor of becoming my girlfriend?" His nervousness seeps into his eyes as he watches the emotions play out on her face.
To say she is shocked would be an understatement. Though, she can't say that she is unhappy about it either, a shy smile curling her lips upward as she fearlessly meets his eyes. Noting his nervousness, she takes a deep breath and nods.
"Draco, I would love to be your girlfriend." A wide, ecstatic grin spreads across the blonde Slytherin's face as he pulls her as close as possible, leaning down to gently place his lips upon hers again.
END FLASHBACK
Ever since that night, they have been almost inseparable. They still have their spats, of course, it is them after all, but things are going surprisingly well between them, for which she is pleasantly thankful. breaking out of her thoughts, she stops in front of the wall that holds the room of requirement. She passed in front of the wall three times, changing that she needs to find Draco Malfoy before the door starts forming. Once is has finished, she slowly pushes the door open, a gasp of admiration springing forth as she steps inside.
Draco is standing in the center of the room, his hands clasped behind his back and a wide grin on his face. The room around him is impressive, her eyes scanning every detail with wonder. The walls are decorated in a delicious ruby color, silver trimmings along the edges of the walls make the color pop. The carpet is a wonderful dark green with a gold trim outlining it. On one side of the room is a large four poster, with light purple drapes hanging from it, tied to the poles of the bed. The comforter is a gorgeous midnight purple with different shades of purple throw pillows. On either side of the bed is a mahogany nightstand with a modern looking lamp on both. At the foot of the bed sits a fluffy ottoman that is the same ruby color of the walls with silver trim. On the other side of the room is a kitchenette with dark grey cabinets and marble counter tops that have wisps of purple and black flowing through them. On the outside of the kitchenette is an attached bar top that has three mahogany stools with fluffy midnight purple cushions sitting under it. In between the bed and kitchen on the wall is a beautiful roaring fireplace with natural river rock and mahogany mantle. In front of the fireplace sits a mahogany coffee table with a glass top, a box of chocolates and two wine goblets sitting on top of it. In front of the table is a dark green couch with gold trim around it and fluffy ruby pillows with silver trim. On the either side of the couch, turned towards the fireplace at an angel are two ruby sitting chairs, the trim silver and a dark green pillow with gold trim on each. Large mahogany bookcases line the walls on either side of the fireplace, buckling under the weight of the overstacked books and tying the whole room together wonderfully.
"Wow," Hermione breathes as she takes in the room and then locks her eyes back on Draco, a pleasant smile gracing her features as she approached him. He wraps her up in his arms and lays his cheek on the top of her head as they both sigh out their stress. The Gryffindor leans back and the blonde lowers his head to capture her lips in a sweet kiss that steals her breath.
"I'm glad you like love, I admit I was a little nervous at first." He chuckles as he rubs his nose with hers briefly before pulling back slightly to look her in the eyes.
"Like it? Draco I love it!" She beams at him as he leads her over to the couch. They situation down as he pulls the box of chocolates to the edge of the table and then leans forward again to grab the wine goblets.
"So, I have something special planned for tonight.." Draco says nervously as Hermione brings a wine goblet to her mouth and takes a sip. She quirks a curious eyebrow at him as he also takes a sip from his own goblet. The nervousness is rolling off of him in waves and she gently lays her hand on his arm in reassurance. He turns his head smile lovingly at her before he pulls the box of chocolates of the table and into his lap.
"Close your eyes.." He demands softly and her eyes cloud with question. He motions to the box and something seems to click for her before she nods and silently closes her eyes as instructed. When he is thoroughly satisfied that she isn't peeking, he opens the box and picks a random chocolate from its place. He gently pressed the chocolate to her lips, prodding them as if asking her to open them. She gently wraps her lips around the chocolate and takes a bite, chewing it slowly to savor the taste.
"That tastes like caramel." Her voice is quiet and curious as he smiles, though knows she can't see it.
"Correct. Next one." He pulls another chocolate from the box and places it at her lips. She takes a bite and moan gently. Her favorite, milk chocolate.
"That one is milk chocolate." He praises her again, his eyes dark with desire as the quiet moan had escaped her lips. He picks another from the box but this time, brings the candy to his own lips, taking a bite and chewing it before swallowing it down. He then gently placed his chocolate covered lips to hers and she squeaks lightly before responding.
Draco slowly runs his tongue along her bottom lip, causing a gasp to escape her and he takes the opportunity to push his tongue into her mouth so she can taste the chocolate on his tongue. As his tongue soothes over hers and a low groan escape his throat when her tongue slips around his. They kiss like this for a few minutes, their lips locked together and tongues battling for dominance before he finally breaks away to take in a large gulp of air. He looks down at Hermione, his breath catching in his throat as he catches sight of her flushed cheeks and broad smile. The glow from the fire is reflecting off her hair, giving her a radiant glow.
She is gorgeous, how did I get this lucky?
Her cheeks flush a little darker as she notices him staring at her, her self consciousness trying to get the better of her as she smiles gently.
"What are you staring at?" Her voice is soft and gentle as she tilts her head slightly, giving him another gentle smile as she waits for his answer. Noticing that he has been starting for a few minutes without saying anything, he awkwardly clears his throat and gives her a broad grin back. Draco shakes his head softly before bringing a hand to rest on her still heated cheek.
"Nothing, you are just gorgeous and I can't help but stare." If possible, her cheeks flushes hotter at his words and the brunette gives him a shy grin.
"You're not so bad yourself." The blonde smiles widely and leans in to plant another kiss against her slightly swollen lips. She meets him half way and weaves her fingers into his silky hair, his own tightening around her waist once more. The battle against each other's mouths for dominance, his teeth gently nipping her bottom lip. She gasps in surprise and he takes the opportunity to slip his tongue inside her mouth once more. She moans gently at the contact and his pulls her towards him a little more, cutting out the last remaining space between them. Finally, the two have to come up for air and Draco leans his forehead against hers as they pant. He pulls back slightly to grin at her as the questions slips.
"So, another strawberry?"
