chapter 1: Welcome home.

Today is gonna be a good day thought olliver cartwright.

The young boy ran around the park near his house. He let the wind go through his sandy blonde hair done in a simple bowl cut just like his dads at that age.

"Olliver! Time for dinner!" the voice of his father called from their house which was within the boy's line of sight.

"Coming dad!" the boy ran back home with a wide smile on his face. Today was his mother's birthday and that means they were gonna have cake. The best part is that his birthday was in two weeks and he was gonna get a whole cake to himself.

Though the cartwright was as big as the other houses in Washington D.C. it sure did feel like home to orrin and his son.

The young boy jogged up the stoop and met his father at the door.

"Olli there you are, come set the table with me before mommy gets home." orrin said, the man was dressed in a white button up shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. His hair was cut to business length and was the same color as his sons.

"daddy what am I getting for my birthday?" Olliver asked, his eyes scanning the room for potential present hiding spots.

"You'll have to wait for two more weeks before you get your presents." Orrin chuckled to himself and shook his head. He never forgot what it was like when you were kid. "are you excited? you're turning the seven and I hear you're classmate suzy is gonna be there."

Olliver blushed at that, he liked suzy even though girls were supposed to be icky; he thought she was kinda cute. "yeah, I guess it's cool. Did suzy really say she'd be here?"

Orrin looked at a picture of him and his wife at the beachhouse. His mind going to when he first met her in high school. Love is a crazy ride and he was glad he had got on.

The boy began to place the forks on the table while his father handled the plate.

"olliver, I got your report card today." the man said, placing the final plate.

"you did? How did I do?" a nervous edge took the boys voice. He seized up with worry.

"well there is no way to tell you this…" Orrin sighed as he walked up to the fridge and pulled out an envelop from the top and then pulled out the card. "… you got straight A's"

The man beamed with pride for his son. He was so much smarter then him and he couldn't be happier.

"daddy, you're crying." Olliver noted walking up to his father. He tugged at his pants leg.

"tears of joy my son. You know when I was your age, I was a real dummie… I once got my tongue stuck to a frozen swing set."

"Like that christmas movie you showed me." the boy giggled at that.

"exactly, and I was always getting into trouble with my best friend." orrin stopped when he said that. He remembered reagen well… she was a good friend.

"what happened to your friend."

"well she was really smart champ, she got to skip all the grades and graduated high school at the same time that I started middle school. She is probably onto bigger and better things."

"I hope she is happy."

"Me too champ… me too." Orrin looked out the window as the golden sunlight faded and the night began to descend on the city.

Three rapping knocks at the front door caught the pair's attention.

"Now who could that be?" orrin took a couple hesitant steps toward the door… he didn't know why but he was nervous.

The man opened it and revealed a girl in a stylish red dress and a familiar face. She had a duffle bag stained at the bottom over her shoulder… it seemed to be dripping and the stain looked like rust.

"Oh my god, reagan." he recognized her as his childhood friend. "what are you doing here?"

The woman in front of him smirked as she forced her way past orrin. She looked around the house and scoffed. "this is where you live… it's a dump. No offense orrin but you should've considered something more suiting a king like you."

The man was confused and his son was terrified as the boy ran to his fathers side. "daddy, who is this lady?"

"she's my friend… the one I told you about." Orrin said half-believing his words as he looked at reagan, he was shaking in his boots especially when she looked at him like that.

A creepy smile made it's way on her lips and a predatory look in her eye made both the boys uneasy.

"i'm so glad you remembered me orrin. You know I'm sorry for abandoning you… worst mistakei ever made… now come're and give me a hug."

The woman opened her arms and trotted toward orrin.

"stay back." orrin began to back away, something wasn't right… this wasn't reagan. He could swear he heard the clicking of gears when she walked. What was she.

"you're hurting my feelings orrin… don't you and Ollie want your presents." reagan reached into her duffle bag and pulled out a stack of papers.

"what are those?" orrin asked his voice trembling.

"oh these? Just controlling shares in the company you slave over in a cubicle for… a 90% controlling share in fact." she beamed taking a couple more steps as Orrin hit the wall. The woman slammed her hand against the walls and taking a long stare into orrin's eyes. "you have such a beautiful smile… why not show it to me."

"please reagan, we don't want any trouble… just tell us what you want and go." orrin's voice was shaking, his hand on his boys back trying to keep his son behind him.

"I want… you. I want us to be a thing and I want to give you the world." reagan said leaning dangerously close to orrin's face. She then cupped his cheek in her hand then tried to pull him close. He resisted her grasp as her lips began to form.

"No… no!" orrin fought against her grip but eventually she managed to pull him into a long kiss. She ran her hands up and down his back. Groping the nervous man in a lustful hug.

"Wow, that. Was. Magical. I felt sparks fly." Reagan chuckled to herself then began playing with his cheek. "was it good for you?"

Her voice seemed insecure, desperate.

"reagan you need to go… I have a wife and a son." orrin replied.

Reagan began clenching her fist and then turned her back to him. She stomped toward the other side of the room and stood in front of the coffee table. She smashed both her fists through it and causing both glass and wood splinters to spray across the floor.

Olliver hid behind his father and began to sob softly as the woman turned her head toward orrin frowning.

Reagan turned her head downward and a new smile returned to her face… a warm smile. "oh oh no, olliver don't cry, I'm sorry, mommy just got a little upset." she then reached into the bag and pulled out something which she hid behind her back.

"Now a little bird told me that you like canaries and I happen to be an inventor so… surprise!" reagan whipped her hands forward to reveal a robotic canary. It chirped as it peaked at reagan's hand. "come on, you can pet it… it's waiting for your embrace… like me."

"daddy I'm scared." Olliver held his father close tears running down his eyes.

Another frown on reagans face and irritated moan. "alright, I get it, you don't want to leave that bitch behind… that's why you're not showing me your undying gratitude…. Well no need to worry about that because…" reagan reached into her bag and pulled out the severed head of a blonde haired woman, a fearful grimace permanently on her face.

"Oh god, sam!"

"Mommy!"

Sam threw the head at the wall smashing a picture of the family together and then she bared her teeth.

"you don't seem to understand what I'm capable of doing for you… to you." reagan held her fists at her side.

"I threatened and killed your bosses to claim those shares, I slaved over a hot workbench to make this canary, and I worked tirelessly to embezzle money from every account on the planet in order to make us the richest family on earth and what thanks do I get for all my effort. Crying and whining! Oh mommy's dead, get out of my house you monster, we'd never love you… waah waah, get over it." she said the last bit in a mocking tone as she was halfway to olliver and orrin.

"Ollie what I want you to do is run… now!" Orrin demanded watching his wreck of a son nod his head.

"what about you?"

"I'll be fine now go!"

"No, Ollie sweetie, don't run… I'll catch if you do and then I'll have to punish you." Reagan said in a pleading tone.

"stay away from him!" Orrin charged the woman and struck her with his fist. A metallic clang resounded when his fist met her face and his hand hurt like hell. Orrin screamed as all the bones in his hand were broken.

"you shouldn't have done that orrin… now I need to make an example of you." reagan grabbed the man's throat and lifted him. "you know I expected a better reaction. I mean you were best friends with the real reagan and all I really wanted was to be loved by a family… but I guess I'll have to seattle with a loving son. It's a shame I wanted to give you the world on a silver platter but you forced me to put you in the ground."

Orrin choked in the robots grasp, he thrashed trying to break free. He turned his head toward olliver with tears In his eyes. "Olli–"

A snapping sound ended the man's senteance, his body went limp in reagans hand.

"that's a shame but now I know who really loves me." she turned her head toward olliver who stood frozen.

"Ollie, come here, give me a hug… I've had a bad day and I need it." she cooed taking a couple steps.

Olliver looked at his fathers body lying next to his mom's severed head as he began to cry… he fell down paralyzed.

"Baby, I'm sorry you had to see that but sometimes mommies and daddies fight. But you saw that he struck me first and I had to defend myself… I'm not a bad person… I'm your mother." robo-reagan loomed over the boy and leaned down to pick him up.

She lifted him and cradled ollivier her arms like a newborn. "there, there, ssshssh… stop crying, I'm here… I love you."

The boy was an inconsolable mess lifted him up.

"sweetie, I said, I love you… when mommy says she loves you, you say it back." the threatening edge returned to The robots tone.

The boy snorted as he felt reagans hands tighten around him. "i-i love you t-too."

The robot loosened her grip and smiled. "see was that so hard?" she then kissed his forehead and began to walk out of the house.

"w-where are we going?" ollivier asked through his sobs.

"Home, dear, you will no longer be some random kid but a prince in the new world order and when the world bows to me… it will be yours… I promise." reagan looked up in the night sky and smiled then back to olliver who held close to her breast crying.

She ran her fingers through his hair and smiled. "he's all mine now… and I'll never let anyone take him."
