Who: Rebecca, Don, Molly
When: The first Halloween after moving aboard the ship.
What: Don and a kid. DON AND A KID ALONE.

"No, I don't like it!" Don grumbled, pulling the last tie tight behind Rebecca. "Not at all, take it off!"

Rebecca chuckled and adjusted an elbow length glove, "What's wrong with my scrubs?" She could have picked a much worse costume after all! "At least I'm not in the corset?"

"This...this!" Don noted, gesturing to the whole getup, "I don't like it."

'It' being her nurses outfit. She'd even gone for a hospital nurse instead of the other options, all baggy scrubs and mint colors instead of prim white and red! She even had a face mask! "You'll explain it when I'm back?" she offered. She loved the way the tips of his ears twitched back when he was annoyed or grasping at thoughts. Expressive ears, those. Almost as expressive as the tail!

Said ear-twitcher was gritting his teeth and reaching up to touch her face gently, "Be careful," he admonished.

"Of course, you be careful too. It's nearing the witching hour after all!" she laughed and leaned up to kiss his nose before heading down the gangplank to the waiting car. They needed some inside perspective on Khan's building, and Don was a bit conspicuous. Who better to sneak into a company Halloween party then? Where 'sneak' meant she had an actual invitation, through a 'date', an accountant no less. A man who was zero threat to Don. The theme was 'profession costumes' so...no danger at all, right?

No danger.

Except to Don, because the moment the doors closed and the engines fired up again there was the tell tale 'wheeeeeeee HALLLOWEEEEEEEN!' battle cry before a little cub in a bedsheet threw herself at the pirate. "Is mom going to get candy for us?!"

"Ah..." Don noted, looking down at the girl wrapped around his waist. "...she'll be back later yes? Is that your costume?"

"I'm a super hero!" Molly laughed and grinned up at the man. Funny how many teeth a bear could display huh? "When is she coming back?"

"Later?" he offered. "She's on a date yes-no? Ah, a fake date! TOTALLY PRETEND. She is a spy."

"For Halloween?"

"Yes, a spy nurse for Halloween!" he admitted triumphantly. He had to think about it that way right? She was doing this for him, she was a very dedicated girlfriend! And Khan was a very dangerous man. "Now tell me about this, all of this, your are a bedsheet hero?"

"I am Princess Power and this is my Magic Cape!" Molly grinned and finally let go of the pirate. "And you are all the evil minions!"

"Evil? Me? And Minion? Surely not!" he grinned. "I am the evil king! They are MY minions! And you...you are my prisoner!" He snarled suddenly and swoooped down to scoop her up, bedsheet and all.

"What? What no!" Molly laughed and flailed her arms, fighting to escape until she managed to bop Don's noise. Oh, "oops...sorry."

"Ack!" Don bit his tongue when she hit nose, the double shock of pain making his eyes cross, though he managed not to drop her. Bonus points for that right? "Ow...now the king is angry. The evil king is very angry! Run." He opened his arms so she could drop down and run off squealing.

Once she was safely away he bent over to cradle his nose. Ow ow ow ow ow. Right, the loud speaker. "Ahem, attention crew, this is your captain, Don Karnage. You are now all evil minions, and there is a super hero loose on the ship. Play nice and let the hero tie you up or something!" Ow ow ow ow ow NOSE!

His poor nose. He was hating Halloween this year, yes. Hating it a lot. Maybe he should crash a high profile party? That would be the properly piratical thing to do yes? Perfectly piratical in fact, if he could get the ship past the gun placements at Cape Suzette he could have it hover down at the windows of the level the party was at in the tower and...

...and...

"What are you doing back already?" he asked of the fuzzy child tugging on his shirt. "I was imagining and you interrupted a very good imagining!"

"I tied up all the bad guys! You're left!"

"Already?!"

"They helped!"

...oh. Of course they did. "Well, what else do you do on Halloween?!" He asked, tail twitching. "You tied up my crew yes? What's left?"

"I can defeat you?" Molly offered. "And...then we can go Trick or Treating?"

"Trick or Treat? What is this? What is this you speak of?" He had no idea what she was on about! And..."You think you can trick me so easily? I am an evil king, yes-no? You cannot tie me up!" He stepped out of the loop Molly was slowly working around his leg and grinned at her.

"Awwww but you gotta lose!" Molly pouted and stomped her foot. "Evil loses!"

"But I'm also a pirate! We cheat!" He laughed and reached down to tickle her as he thought things over. "Now tell me all your secrets! All the hero's secrets yes?!"

"I...no! No I can't tell you the secret!" Molly giggled and curled up as best she could in her cape trying to dodge the tickling. "It's a secret!"

"But I am evil, haha!" Don grinned and snapped his teeth above her, still tickling mercilessly. "Tell me all the secrets of Trick or Treat!"

"That's not a secret!" Molly yelped, "that's just Halloween! Everyone gets dressed up and goes door to door and get's candy!"

..."WHAT?!" There was a day where piracy was legal?! WHY HAD NO ONE TOLD THEM?! Hmmm, the ship could not get past the big guns, but there were smaller islands and..."You! Untie my crew! We must go do this Trick or Treat!"

Molly blinked as the tickling stopped, they simply sprawled on the deck a bit. "You can't make me! And Trick or Treat is for kids!"

"Oh?" Don grinned and poked her once more for good measure, "are you saying my crew are all grown up smart adults?"

She had to think about that one for a minute. They had helped her tie themselves up..."No? They're kinda...not grown ups. We can go trick or treating?!"

"Yes, YES WE CAN FOR I AM DON KARNAGE AND THIS HALLOWEEN IS FOR PIRATES!" Once he got his crew untied. "You get the men in the back I'll get the ones in the front yes? Go!" IT WAS TIME TO PILLAGE!

PILLLLLAGE!

And be back in time to pick up his girlfriend yes. He met her the gangway, a sack of candy at his feet and a sleeping Molly across his shoulder. The poor girl just didn't have the stamina for extensive candy gathering at her age. She'd grow into it! "And you!" Don pointed, grinning. "For you I have an answer!"

Rebecca blinked and untied her facemask, more tired than anything else. Was he sugar high? Really? "Alright?"

"It is a terrible costume because it is a terrible costume on you! You deserve beautiful things!and this is not a beautiful thing! This is terrible cloth!" Ha! Take that logic! HE WAS WINNING THIS NIGHT!

It was a beautiful Halloween!
