Chapter 11: Something Ventured, someone framed.

hey everyone it's me another chapter covering events from the show with my own twist and tristan finding his new family and reconcile with old familt members… only four more chapters until the next clue in my poorly made arg… who is tristans boiling isles family members.
"eda! Stop it!" Tristan exclaimed pushing the spoon away. It was filled with a potion that made the imbider attracted to the first person they'd see… but it wasn't sexual or romantic attraction but maternal affection kinda like imprinting on a figure.
"let me feed you this potion young man… I need you to see me as your mama once and for all." eda complained grabbing tristan's hand and pulling him close to her.
"No! Stop I- gulp." a spoonful of drink goes down tristans throat. "uh oh."
Tristan's head felt fuzzy but he looked at eda different and he felt himself warming to her. Tristan then begin making small human type chirps. He then walked toward eda and rubbed his head against her chest and felt safe.
Eda placed her hands on his head and began singing a lullaby. She smiled as tristan fell asleep in her arms.
Luz meanwhile was filming the whole thing with a smile. "oh, he's truly your baby now."
Eda chuckled to herself. "Not yet, he still needs a little milk."
"Milk from what?"
Eda used magic to bring a sippy cup filmed with white milk and held it to tristans mouth. He began suckling as eda feed him.
"eda what are you feeding him?" Luz asked worried about where the milk came from me.
"Mothers milk, powerful bonding agent… now he's my baby.
Tristan began coughing after finishing the milk. He then looked at eda confused. "why am I being held close to mom's breast?"
"oh, you called her mom! It worked!" Luz was having a cute overload.
"what worked luz? What else am I to call my mother." Tristan looks at eda and scratched his head. "mom, my head feels fuzzy and I don't feel right."
"Oh sweety, the potion is having side effects come here and let momma make you feel better." Eda then kissed his forehead and the boy smiled.
"oh, it's too precious." Luz said videotaping it all. "you're gonna turn him back to normal right?"
"yep, the potion passes after 24 hours and then he'll just have memories and those my dear apprentice will remain with him forever." eda began rubbing the boys tummy and he giggled.
"Mom, that tickles… I love you." Tristan replied, his voice sounding like he was a kid again.
Luz looked worried but eda raised her hand. "don't worry kid, he just reverts to a more childish and naive version of himself… makes him more loving to the reciepent of the potion."
"whose my little guy… huh, whose mama's special witchlet." Eda asked as she began scratching tristan's back and kissing his forehead rapidly.
"I am, I'm momma's special witchlet." tristan cooed and this made luz laugh.
"he's never acted like this before… he was never like this when we were kids."
Eda beamed with pride at luz's comments. "of course, he had inferior parents… now he has me… that's right you're gonna stay on the boiling isles with me aren't you… forever and forever until I'm dead and gone."
"yeah! I want to stay with my mommy until I'm old and grown." tristan voice was filled with exotic.
The door swung open as gus rushed in a bag under his arms. "Luz I need your help!" he noticed eda having tristan sit on her lap and stroking his chin. "am I interrupting something? Is this a human mating ritual!?"
"What!? No, I'm just enjoying the day with my son." eda replied then turned her head from gus. "and I'd like to get back to it."
"Hey gus fuss, how's honey bee." Tristan asked waving to the boy.
"what's wrong with tristan?"
"Mothers bonding potion… a strong one." luz chuckled videotaping the boy began to trail kisses up eda's neck as the woman giggled.
"Oh, he loves his mother doesn't he?"
"I do! My momma is the best mommy!" tristan rubbed his head against eda's breast. Taking in her love as she patted his hair.
"that's right, now what do you want kid I'm busy?" eda held tristan close as he began to nod off in eda's arms placing his ear to eda's chest.
"I need luz and tristan to verify that a member of my club Is trying to pawn off fake human artifacts at hexside." gus explained sounding distressed.
"Mama, what is an artifact?" Tristan asked, letting out a yawn.
"don't you worry about it sweetheart, just nod off to sleep and momma will handle this." eda cooed glaring at gus for interrupting her baby time.
"please, I need your help."
"Gus, what about the ban? Me and tristan would love to help you but we can't if we're gonna get caught?" Luz explained watching as tristan began teething on eda's dress and then yawn.
"funny you should mention it but I got the ban lifted with my club president authority." Gus lied looking at the display between tristan and eda with fascination… his mother never held him like that at least not to his knowledge and was eda tristans birth mother or an adoptive one.
"ouch tristan, sweet heart be gentle with mommy, she's sensitive." Eda said as tristan took a nibble out of her.
"I'm sorry momma, I love you." Tristan replied yawning again as he fell asleep.
"I love you too, it's nap time."
"But I'm not tired… yawn…" Tristan began smacking his lips then closed his eyes falling asleep in eda's arms as she lifted him up and then walked off taking him upstairs.
"you know what gus, we'd love to help." Luz said.
"great, I'll meet you at hexside at 8 am sharp." Gus exclaimed running out of the door as he had work to do.
Luz smiled "that boy is always in a rush."
"hey luz! Get up here and help me strip tristan."
Luz's eyes went wide "you're not going to… you know… are you?"
"Luz I would never do that to someone while they're asleep. I'm just wanting to share my bodyheat with him… it's neccassary for permabonding."
Luz rolled her eyes and ran upstairs to help eda.

"I can't believe you undressed me." Tristan said arms crossed as he sat next to luz on the staff flying to hexside.
"Oh come on tristan, I stopped once we got to your underwear… and then I left my phone to videotape you sleeping with eda." luz defended herself chuckling.
"yeah, fuck you for that… you let her roofie me and then you videotaped me cuddling up to her like I was a baby and said nothing."
"Hey, I don't act that way for anyone but you… so be grateful you have such an awesome and affectionately mother like me… unlike that woman who refused to tell you that you were a witch."
tristan turned his head away from her and shook his head.
"besides we both know you remember everything you did and if I'm being honest… I really liked when you went for seconds on my mothers milk."
"ugh, I can still taste your nipple in my mouth… so gross." Tristan shivered as he remembered the feeling of his tongue tasting eda's milk.
"hey! Don't be rude… it was beautiful and you know it." eda pointed out as the kids hovered down and reached hexside.
"alright kids, time to go help your friend. Love you tristan." eda said extending her cheek out toward the boy.
"I love you too mama." Tristan mumbled, despite his anger he still saw eda as a mother figure he then kissed her cheek making the woman smile.
The boy then walked away from eda followed by luz. Tristan pulled up his hood and so did luz because gus instructed them to do so for… razzle dazzle.
The two walked up to gus who held his backpack like it was heavy. He was beside willow who looked at the worriedly.
Tristan waved to gus and he smiled. "Hi tristan, how's your mom?"
"shut it gus." tristan growled as he grinded his teeth and irritation returned to his mind.
The boy chuckled nervously pulling on his collar. The bell rang saving the boy from embarrassment as the four walked up the stairs and entered hexside. The kids split up with willow and then they walked to gus's illusion class.
They were stopped by a witch boy who had a weaselly face.
"Hey augustus, you ready to admit that you lied yesterday and resign as the head of the human appreciation club." the weaselly kid said in a cocky tone.
"whose this dork?' Tristan asked glaring at him.
The weaselly kid froze when he heard tristan's comment. "who am I? Who am I!? Who are you!?" the kid kept pushing his finger on tristan as the boy looked down then back at the scrawny kid.
"Boy, you do not want any part of this. I have seen over a hundred techniques on how to break a nerd like you pyschically, spiritually, and mentally… now apologize."
The kid was taken aback but one look at tristan's atheletic build made him shake in terror. "sorry."
"that's better, now gus who is this loser?"
gus glared at the kid "this is mattholomule? He is the guy trying to pass off fake artifacts from the human realm."
"mattholomule! Ha ha ha! That is his name! That's hilarious!" tristan had burst out laughing in the middle of the hall.
A strange reaper like creature came from around the corner and then placed it's hand to it's lips. "sssh." is all it said and tristan felt the hair on the back of his neck.
"ooh, the new guardians… those guys give me the creeps." mattholomule said and tristan had to nod in agreement. "doesn't mean that gus has a human with him… just a big witch."
"um actually. Luz if you will?"
Luz lowered her head to reveal a pair of round ears. "ta-da!"
"a human!?" the boy seemed shocked and tristan chuckled.
"yep, can't wait for her to verify the human artifacts you supposedly have… see you later matt mule… I can do better then that… I have to do better then that."
The three walked off as they went to class. Tristan and luz generally stayed out of way until it was time for the club meeting.
Once they got there they found that the artifacts in question where just junk. Tristan shook his head at the signs passing them off as high tech items.
"This stuff is garbage?" Tristan whispered to luz leaning into her.
"I know, but let's at least try and be nice… remember what happened last time you were mean to potential friends."
The memory of all the bruises luz had given him. "yes ma'am."
"Good, now let's see those artifacts." the girl walked toward the artifacts rubbing her hands together. Luz scans the items and shakes her head disappointed.
"this are all fakes… whoever tried to sell you this garbage Is trying to cheat you." Luz said, pulling her hood down to reveal her ears. "I would know."
"yeah, this matt guy is trying to sell you some bs." Tristan added glaring at matt.
Matt then came forward looking pitifully as she kneeled her head down. "I admit it… I lied… because I just wanted you guys to accept me."
"what?" Tristan rolled his eyes, no way these guys would fall for that excuse.
"I wasn't very popular in glandus and thus I just wanted to impress you guys. I guess I got carried."
"you really think we're gonna believe–"
The whole club began to coo matt and look at him pitifully.
"Unbelievable, luz please tell me–" one look at luz who was snorting with tears running down her cheeks.
"et tu Luz." Tristan facepalmed himself and shook his head.
"it's okay matt, just don't lie anymore and we're golden."
"am I just not being heard here." Tristan knew something was up… he didn't even need his oracle powers to know that matt is buttering up the club for something.
Once the classmates left the clubroom and it was only tristan, luz, gus, and matt. The four students looked at each other.
"so I guess we are done here… wanna hang out at bonesborough." Luz asked walking up to matt who just smirked.
I don't like that.
"sorry I can't and I don't think you can either."
"Why's that?'
A flash enters tristan's mind as he seems luz being grabbed by a tentacle and sucked inside something.
"Luz it's a trap!" Tristan to her too late as a pair of the guardians burst through the door with their crooks.
They grabbed luz and tristan pulling them away. "Hey! We haven't done anything!"
"Banned…" It hissed.
"No gus lifted the ban… tell them." Luz plead to gus who bowed his head ashamed.
"you little worm! You lied to us… when I get my hands on you." Tristan yelled as they lead him and luz away.
They dragged the two into a big door and threw them into a giant room with a pit in the center of it.
"Gus, that little bastard… he lied to us." Tristan kicked the door.
"why would he do this to us? I thought he was our friend." Luz leaned against the wall and sat in a cradled position.
"it's because he's too busy caring about his position. I knew we shouldn't have trusted him." just then a rumbling from below the pit made the teens lose their footing.
"what was that?" Luz asked unaware that a blue tentacle was crawling from under the pit.
"Look out!" Tristan tackled his friend and then ran to get away from the tentacle.
The boy dodged tentacle after tentacle until he was out of breath.
The boy dropped luz and fell to one knee. "go on without me luz, hide… please."
Luz tried to pick her friend up but he was too heavy. "I can't leave you."
"I said go!" Tristan pushed luz into an alcove as tentacle wrapped around his leg and began to pull him under.
Tristan grabbed the railing trying to hold on for dear life. "at least luz is safe."
"Tristan!" the girl ran to the boy.
"dang it." He muttered as she tried to pull him away from the creature.
The two children tried get to away but more tentacles shot up and were about to grapple the two tristan used a spell circle to summon three darts blasting the tendrils away as he and luz ran into an alcove.
Just then the door to the detention room opened. Tristan nodded his head and picked up luz as he dashed toward the door. But once he got there it was already closed. He noticed that the two new arrivals were gus and matt.
"oh good, I can show both of you what happens when someone lies to my friend and gets them in trouble." Tristan wasn't a violent person… not by a longshot but he felt the need to show these two what happens when you piss off a football player.
"Tristan wait! Let them explain themselves." Luz said standing between tristan and the boys who were quivering.
Tristan froze and then took in a breath. "Okay, start talking you two. Make it fast."
"i'm sorry, I didn't mean for any of this to happen."
"why did you lie to us about the ban?"
"Because I wanted to stay in charge of the human appreciation club."
"and for that you were willing to risk me and luz's safety?"
"I didn't mean too… it's just that I don't have many friends because of me being an advanced student and thus I'm younger then other people here."
Tristan understood what gus meant by that and nodded his head. "Okay, but next time don't lie to us… we're your friends and we can help you if your honest."
"agreed!" Luz exclaimed as the creatures tentacles began to shot up and make a grab for the four teens.
Tristan grabbed luz and gus then ran as the creature grabbed matt and pulled him below.
"couldn't have happened to a nicer guy." tristan ran a circle around the pit then once he had done six laps he ran toward the door.
"what are you doing!? You'll squash us!" Gus exclaimed.
"Trust me, we'll be fine." Tristan then stopped just in front of the door allowing the force of his speed to shot open the door knocking it off it's hinges. The three kids left to see principal bump.
"I see you managed to escape detention… well I've been meaning to talk with you all. For breaking the ban and destroying detention I hereby re-ban all three of you… tristan, luz, and eda."
"eda?" The two teens asked.
The witch poked out from behind them covered in different stains. She waved her fingers nervously.
"wait principal bump, it's my fault… if you're gonna punish someone… punish me." gus said making both tristan and luz's hearts jump.
The principal scratched his chin and then nodded his head. "very well, I will allow it but you are no longer head of the human appreciation society."
Gus nodded his head and then turned to his two friends. "does that mean?"
"Yes, luz and tristan can enroll next semester."
"what? When was that an option?" luz exclaimed excited.
"surprise!" both eda and tristan exclaimed.
"you guys!" Luz was on the verge of tears. "you planned to get me back in hexside."
"correction tristan did, he's been angling me for it since the day you got banned and after some hard negotiations… we came to an agreement." eda then narrowed her eyes to tristan looked away with red cheeks.
Luz charged tristan and gave him a hug. "thank you!"
"don't mention it. I'd do anything to make you happy light bright."
"alright kids, it's time for my mid afternoon nap and I'd like to be home in time to enjoy it. and tristan, remember our deal." Eda said the last bit with a cute smile.
As the teens followed their teacher to her palisman staff luz leaned in close to tristan. "what did you offer eda in order for her to get me into hexside?"
"well, I had to promise to… move out of our shared room."
"if you're not gonna be in our room then where are you gonna sleep?"
"...eda's room, in her nest."
Luz mewled and her eyes began to water. "I have to set up a camera in there."
"don't even think about it."
"too late."
"Pick up the pace you two, I want to nap and tristan my dear don't be afraid to cling close to me."
Son of the dragon
yeah tristan has an idea that boscha likes him but he thinks it's so alien that he dismisses it almost entirely… wait until the grom episode for the eda and boscha tensions to take root.

yeah tristan has been on enough status dates with other popular girls to know how to talk to them but hasn't had any experience dating someone whom he actually enjoys being around so that's fun… also yes I love the kronk reference

agreed I found it quite interesting that the sports star mean girl is a potion maker… you'd think she'd be a more atheletic coven like construction or maybe beast keeping but potions adds a good parellel due to eda being potions and luz initially being put in potions. But also, I love boscha and hope she gets a redemption arc… she won't because of disney but I can dream.
