Chapter 2: Searching for the Sins
After the chat about forming the Eight Deadly Sins and the battle against the Ten Commandments we went back to our rooms to enjoy the rest of the night before leaving to search for the other Sins and I decided it was best to get some sleep as early as possible.
"Hey Hadrian wake up" A voice exclaims as I'm thrown off the bed
I look up annoyed to see Meliodas chuckling.
"Really?" I ask grumpily as I get up.
"Yep, now it's time to start learning how to use your demon powers" Meliodas tells me excitedly, as if he was the one learning how to do it
"Fine then, I'll get dressed and head down" I tell him as he leaves my room.
Heading downstairs I see Meliodas talking with Merlin
"I never thought we would have a group to take down the Ten Commandments" Meliodas says surprised
"The biggest surprise to me is the fact that a 4 year old is going to be one of the members, and you have to admit for a 4 year old he's not to bad when it comes to magical power" Merlin admits
"Yeah, and he's not even the son of the demon king like I am" Meliodas says
"Really, you're the son of the demon king?" I ask in surprise
"Oh, uh Hadrian I didn't notice you there… Yes, yes I am the son of the demon king" Meliodas says disappointed in himself and he seems scared about my opinion.
"That's so cool, doesn't that mean you're my prince?" I ask curious
Merlin chuckles at that while Meliodas looks at me in shock
"You're fine with me being the son of the demon king?" Meliodas asks
"Well I just learned that I'm a demon so it's not that big of a deal if my friend is the son of the demon king. As long as you're nice and you care about others then I don't care. And my friends call me Harry so you can call me that" I say happily
even though I never had friends I thought to myself bitterly
Both Meliodas and Merlin look at each other and then back to Hadrian.
I forgot he may be incredibly intelligent for a kid his age, but he is just that. A kid. Merlin and Meliodas thought with a fond smile.
After eating breakfast Meliodas takes me to a secluded area to try and use my demonic powers while Merlin stands to the side and watches.
"Alright Harry, to use your demon powers it requires negative emotions such as anger, i want you to use that anger and bring it out" Meliodas tells me. Nodding, I close my eyes and try to think of something that makes me angry. After a few minutes i start getting annoyed,
There is Lily and James, the way they treated me. The way they ignored me, forgotten me, and how everyone only cared about the famous child. I thought angrily as my anger began to grow and the anger from within burst out, and before I knew it I felt massive amounts of energy flowing through my body, opening my eyes I see Meliodas smiling while Merlin is looking at me curiously.
Merlin then snaps her fingers and a mirror appears in front of me. My green eyes are now replaced with pure black and I have a small black mark on my forehead right above my eye (S1 demon mark the first time it is seen).
"Congratulations Harry, you have awoken your demon powers, this is the first step to becoming a powerful demon" Meliodas says with a small smile but also with a little strain in it.
"No, a powerful Sin" I reply which makes Meliodas smile brightly.
That's a good kid Meliodas thought fondly
After activating and deactivating my demon form Meliodas started working on improving my swordsmanship.
"Now Harry I need you to keep moving when your fighting, you can't stay still when fighting you need to learn how to move otherwise you won't improve and you will become an easy target" Meliodas lightly scolded
"Ok, I'll do better" I say as we continue once more.
I want to be a good member of the team I thought with determination
After a long period of training, I find myself indoors taking in deep breaths trying to regain my breathing and slow down the beating of my hearts.
"You did well Harry, you should go and get some rest" Meliodas says to me.
Nodding, I leave and decide to head to bed so that I won't have to worry about falling unconscious before I go to bed.
General Pov
"What's on your mind?" Meliodas asks noticing Merlin's thinking face
"I might betting more of an idea on what Harry's magical power is" Merlin says
"Really what?" Meliodas asks curious
"Not much except that it's a passive power, but it's definitely not a weak one. When we learn what it is we could exploit it and he could become quite a powerful member of the Sins we just got to know what it is and what requirements are needed to do it" Merlin explains with a thoughtful look
"How strong was he in demon form?" Meliodas asks
"He was at a power level of 1795" Merlin answers.
"Ok then" Meliodas replies.
That is surprisingly good for a child at such a young age Meliodas thought
The next morning Hadrian comes down and sees Merlin going through some books. Curious he walks over to her and looks over her shoulder to see what she's reading
"You know not every lady likes it when a boy looks at her things" Merlin says cheekily
"Oh, sorry about that" Hadrian apologizes
I didn't think I was being rude I thought worried
"You got nothing to worry about, but it is just a warning and these books are actually for you to read while we're heading out to find the other Sins" Merlin replies handing Hadrian his books.
All of the books were about tips and beginner magic giving him the ability to start learning magic.
"I'm curious to see your potential, and how far you will grow" Merlin says cheekily as she strokes his cheek. They then hear horses neighing off in the distance.
"I think it's time for us to go now" Merlin says as she leaves
One training session he went from 795 to 807 it actually isn't bad but I hope he can get stronger faster, i know he's young but he's supposed to be a Sin and all sins need to reach a power level of over 3000, at the moment he is only at 1807 at his best, just hope his magical power is as strong as I think it is Merlin thought to herself as she walks towards the carriage that they will be taking to find the first Sin.
By Midday the Dragon, Boar and Phoenix Sin are now traveling and heading towards a prison which currently holds the future Fox sin of Greed, Ban.
During the ride Hadrian was going through one of the books Merlin gave him so that he can improve on his magic. The book he was reading was about magic itself, when it was born and some other info on it.
Reading the first book took a lot longer than Hadrian expected due to how massive it was and also how long it would take to try and understand it, and after a few hours they finally reach the prison holding 'Undead Ban'. When entering the entrance to the prison some of the guards warned us to leave, well they did until Merlin told them they were there on the orders of King Bartra, which they reluctantly agreed to take the 3 of the Sins to him. Upon arriving at the cell door Merlin decided it was best to look at some things while Hadrian and Meliodas went to free Ban.
"He's immortal we have tried to execute him 33 different times but all have failed, he's not Human" The guard told us
"Really, what a coincidence. Open it" Meliodas orders which causes Hadrian to smirk at the inside joke. The doors then begin to open and Hadrian and Meliodas could see Ban chained up and covered in dirty and damaged clothes.
"What another execution? I'm not going to get up so just do it here" Ban replies tiredly, Then Ban sees the both of us, he looks at us like he's going insane.
"What you're just two kids" Ban says confused
"It's time to step out Undead Ban" Meliodas says
"I'm not taking orders from a kid" Ban exclaims annoyed
"Guess I'll just have to throw you out of here" Meliodas replies calmly
"Just because you're a kid doesn't mean I'm holding back" Ban says and he then charges at Meliodas hitting him in the face, Meliodas retaliates by punching Ban back sending him flying and crashing through the wall of his cell and into the courtyard of the prison.
Ban begins to laugh, with blood all over him
"You really did throw me out" Ban says surprised, he immediately sits up with his wounds gone
"Let's do that again" Ban says excitedly
"If you want a rematch you will have to come with us" Meliodas says. Ban chuckles and nods excitedly.
Afterwards Merlin had Ban get some new and clean clothes and while looking at his options Merlin and Meliodas explained everything to speed up the process. They are now currently at a bar relaxing, at the moment Meliodas and Ban are drinking ale while Merlin is sipping wine and Hadrian is just relaxing and enjoying the banter between the occasional banter between Meliodas and Ban.
"So let me get this straight, the King of Liones wants to form a group of Eight Deadly Sins to fight and protect the Kingdom of Liones, am I missing anything?" Ban asks curiously
"Not really" Hadrian says
"Ok but what's with the two kids?" Ban asks, confused and slightly worried.
"Meliodas is older than he looks while Hadrian here is stronger than many his own age" Merlin says
"How old is Hadrian?" Ban asks drinking his Ale
"4" Meliodas says
Ban does a spit take with ale shooting out of his mouth like a hose
"He acts older than that! Look man I get it he is stronger than a lot of people, but he is just a kid!" Ban exclaims angrily
"He has a power level of 807 and he is still growing" Merlin says, Ban looks at Merlin surprised and turned to Hadrian, then turns back to Merlin
"Damn, he is strong," Ban commented, surprised and impressed.
Afterwards they head out to look for the Lion Sin, The Sin of Pride, Escanor.
Half way through, Meliodas got curious and asked Ban what his magical power was.
"Oh my magical power is snatch, I can take away the physical strength of those i choose" Ban says
"Can you show us?" I ask curious
"Then I guess you are the volunteer" Ban says cheekily as he uses snatch on Hadrian.
Hadrian Pov
As snatch was used on me I felt my strength begin to leave but half a second later I felt power grow within me, the power began to flow through my veins and body, I felt stronger and faster.
I look at myself to see if anything happened to my body but nothing seems to have effected me
"Is that supposed to happen?" Meliodas asks pointing towards my eyes
"No i think that's Hadrian's magical power" Merlin says surprised
"What's going on?" I ask confused
Merlin then snaps her fingers and a mirror appears in front of me and i can see my eyes now have a dark red colour instead of the regular green
"Wait, what happened?" Ban asks confused when he saw my eyes dark red
"Hadrian your power level went from 807 which then dropped to 757 but then it rose when your eyes changed, it seems that you grew stronger and you stored the energy that Ban used to steal your strength which causes you to now be at a power level of 907. Ban try using snatch on him repeatedly" Merlin commands. Ban immediately complies due to curiosity and I feel my body continue to grow stronger but before long that feeling stopped increasing and I saw my body beginning to release a small amount of dark red energy.
"Huh it seems that Hadrian's body couldn't contain any more so it releases that energy to keep him safe" Merlin says surprised
"How strong is he?" Ban asks excited
"Well before he was 807 and the first time you used snatch he decreased by 50 only to increase by 150, but his total power now is 2807" Merlin says amazed
"Wow, I can see why you want him on the team now" Ban says amazed
"But here's the thing, I believe the older he gets and the more his body can handle the more he can contain meaning instead of him increasing his power by a max of 2000 it could go even further" Merlin explains
"That is a scary power for guys like me, thinking you are weakening your opponent but you're only making them stronger, and the worst part is that I got no power increase from that" Ban says, slightly upset that his magical ability has no effect on me.
Thanks to Bartra's vision we will know where and when the Sins will be, so our journey takes us to where the Lion Sin of Pride will be which is a week long ride, so during that time Meliodas helped me with his sword play while Ban help train me with hand to hand combat further helping and improving my combat abilities. During my free time I was reading the books I was given by Merlin at the beginning of our journey.
On the way there Meliodas told us of how some knights were harassing a giant girl just because she was a giant.
Bastards, they think that they can control others, and yet they are among the weakest race out of all the others Fairies, Giants, Demons, Goddesses and then humans who are the overall weakest and yet they act superior because they have numbers. I thought angrily
I know i was once human but i never thought like that I thought angrily
We finally reached the town where Escanor was and is supposed to fight something massive. Ban with some money decided to just drink in a tavern, and I spent time with him despite me being underage and just talking to him.
"So, what was life like before you met the Captain?" Ban asks me
"Hell, my parents ignored me in favor of my twin because she was famous and the birthdays we shared was soon just my twin's birthdays. My godfather didn't give a shit about me and wanted to only spend time with my twin and my godmother is in a coma" I say annoyed
"Sorry to hear that man" Ban apologizes
Ban looks at me sadly, he gives me I one armed hug and I look at him in surprise
"I understand to a certain extent how that feels, my parents beat me while yours neglected you but it still hurts, doesn't matter if it was neglect or abuse it still hurts one way or another. When I was younger I barely had any food to survive and I had to steal to survive, you didn't have any attention which was needed for one as young as you, it doesn't matter if your twin was famous it was just wrong of them" Ban says saddened .
Tears begin to flow down my face as I cry into his chest
Ban held onto me as I told him about how my sister survived an unkillable curse and survived and how soon she along with my parents forgot about me.
I promise you I will never let that happen to you, Hadrian Ban thought with determination in his eyes.
I soon fell asleep after finally releasing all of the stress and sadness from how I was treated. Ban lifts me up and carries me to my bed and carefully puts me under my covers
"Sleep tight, we will make sure you aren't forgotten or feel unwanted like that ever again" Ban says with determination as he closes the door.
The next morning I was awoken by Meliodas who explained that he's going to fight Escanor at his strongest and he wanted me to see what I could achieve if I try really hard.
Nodding excitedly I got dressed and ran to the meeting spot where both would fight.
Once getting there I saw Meliodas and Merlin standing in front of this giant of a man, he has orange hair and he seems to be releasing a ridiculous amount of heat.
"Hello" I greet
"Hello young child, what are you doing here?" Escanor asks looking at me with curiosity
"Oh, he is here to watch the fight between you two" Merlin comments once realizing I was here.
Escanor did not question it and I noticed the sun beginning to reach its peak.
As the sun reaches its highest point, Escanor's body grew and his body lit on fire, he looks at Meliodas before talking about how he feels sorry about people who are incredibly weak and easy to break before he punches Meliodas upwards destroying his scabbard that held his broken sword and the next thing I knew wasthat Meliodas' entire body becomes covered in darkness and Meliodas flies downwards hitting Escanor in the face with his wing, Escanor proceeds to fall and lands down onto the ground Meliodas stomps his dark claw (Foot) onto Escanor's throat, then I heard Meliodas spoke
"If you really want do die, then I'll kill you myself" Meliodas says in a deeper and scarier voice
This is the son of the demon king. Wow, now I really want to get stronger so that I can be a helpful member of the team, I thought to myself.
Noticing my wide eyes Merlin moves closer to me
"You alright?" I hear Merlin ask beside me with concern.
"Yeah, yeah, just seeing the power that Meliodas just showed is amazing" I say in awe, Meliodas then removes his clawed foot from Escanors throat with a smile.
Meliodas then puts Escanor on his back and runs off. I look at Merlin confused; she only smiles and goes after them leaving me behind with a confused expression on my face.
Afterwards I learned that Meliodas took Escanor to see the woman that saved his life when he was only a child and that Escanor grows stronger as long as the sun is in the sky, and the higher it goes the stronger he gets. But when night time arrives he is incredibly weak, only a power level of 10
Damn, he's a lot stronger than me during the day but at night I'm a lot stronger I thought to myself.
Once Meliodas and Escanor returned from seeing the woman who saved Escanors life Escanor joined our group and of course he had questions about me and his look of shock when he learned of my age and power was really funny to me.
"So you're saying that you are going to be a member as well" Skinny Escanor asks me shocked.
"Yes, I just hope that I can be useful to the team" I say slightly embarrassed
"Of course you will, as you get older you will catch up to them, sadly I won't be much help" Escanor says slightly embarrassed
I smile at him gratefully
"Escanor you are incredibly powerful, yes you need the sun but it still doesn't change that. And thanks for encouraging me" I say happily
Escanor looks at me before smiling
"Thank you too" Escanor replies with a smile on his face
After that night we had to head back to Liones, because somehow we will meet our next member, the Sin of Sloth the Bear Sin, King who Bartra says will be easy to convince to join. Upon meeting King we learned that he was thought to have done something bad and he was arrested but thankfully Meliodas freed him by the order of Bartra, but the last thing I expected when I got to see him was a fat man that floats.
What the Hell? I thought.
"What's with the kid?" King asks as he floats
"He's a member and he is currently at a power level of 807" Merlin explains
Immediately he looks at me shocked.
Every bloody time, I get questioned about my age and power and every time results in shock, I'm tired of that. But what can you do, well we learned that our next Sin is the Serpent sin of Envy and she is at Liones and the last Sin is already there meaning that we just have to head back and we'll be fine.
During the trip back to Liones, Ban and Meliodas helped train me while I occasionally read and now put some of the magic into action. The best I could do right now was make a cup float without a focus and that's with difficulty.
Once getting back to Liones we spot a giant about to be killed only for Meliodas to stop it, and it seems our search for the last sin was over. Diane was our serpent sin of Envy, and it was the same girl who Meliodas saved earlier
Who would have thought I thought internally chuckling
Another repeat with my age and power and we finally make it to King Bartra
"Welcome all of you, you have been destined to be part of the group called the Eight Deadly Sins. The first Sin and Captain of the Eight Deadly Sins is Meliodas, the Sin of Wrath, the Dragon Sin. The second is the Sin of Gluttony, The Boar Sin, Merlin. then the third is the Sin of Imitation, the Phoenix Sin, Hadrian. The fourth is the Sin of Greed, the Fox Sin, Ban. The fifth is the Sin of Pride, the Lion Sin, Escanor. Then the sixth is the Sin of Sloth, the Grizzly Sin, King. Then we have the seventh, the Sin of Envy, the Serpent Sin, Diane. And last but not least, we have the Sin of Lust, the Goat Sin, Gowther" The King states introducing all of us.
Afterwards we were asked our choice of weapon and our abilities so we could have our weapons found within the King's vault. After that we decided to hang out and get to know each other, besides Gowther he remained quiet.
"Cheers to the meeting of the Sins" Ban says happily as he drinks
"Yeah!" Meliodas exclaims happily
"Oh this is so amazing!" Diane exclaims happily who is shrunken down thanks to Merlin.
That night there was drinking a bunch of banter as well as laughter.
It was the most enjoyable night I ever had.
As the sun rose the next morning Meliodas started to train me again and Ban helped with hand to hand combat afterwards.
"You have grown quite a bit Harry, your power level at the moment is 839, you keep this up and you could become a very strong member of the Eight Deadly Sins" Merlin complimented, we had a month of time before we receive our weapons from Bartra's Vault so during that time i trained myself as hard as I could in magic and physically.
Omake
"Oh he is so cute" Diane says looking at the 4 year old Hadrian.
"Oh yeah, this is what I think he will be like when he is older," Merlin says, showing a photo of an adult Hadrian.
Diane's nose begins to bleed, noticing this she quickly wipes it off and looks at the 4 year old
"I can't wait for when he is older" Diane blurts out while her face completely red
"Me neither, I can not wait" Merlin says licking her lips seductively

"Good we are in an agreement" Hadrian says cheekily and walks out leaving Zaratras standing there confused
"Oh son of a-!" Zaratras exclaims and Hadrian smirks when he hears Zaratras getting angry at his mistake
Merlin owes me a 20 now thanks to our bet Hadrian thought with a smirk
