Chapter 7: Free Time
Once waking up, Hadrian noticed that someone was to his side, turning Hadrian saw Meliodas sleeping in his chair.
"You have been for an entire day Hadrian" A voice says, turning Hadrian say Merlin standing at the doorway
"He never left your side, I believe he feels guilty for what happened" Merlin says walking into the room
"He shouldn't, I'm a Sin, dangers part of the job" Hadrian says sitting up
"Yeah well we came back in the morning when we heard what happened and to be honest we expected you to be back to normal in a few hours but we forgot your not unkillable" Merlin states
"What made you think I wasn't?" Hadrian asks
"The power you wield at such a young age for starters, and when everyone heard that you already healed with no scars we thought you would be like Ban and already be up, well we learned that you aren't and you slept all day and night" Merlin explains
"Yeah well I got lucky" Hadrian says annoyed
"Berserk Mode?" Merlin asks
"Is that what it was, when the darkness covered my body?" Hadrian asks
"Yes, Meliodas has what's known as Assault Mode, it's similar to berserk mode but far more powerful, in fact most demons don't have that type of power" Merlin explains
"I want an Assault Mode" Hadrian says excitedly
Right still a kid, despite how good the make out sessions are, behind all the fighting and battles deep down he is still just a child Merlin thought
"Maybe but it will be called something else" Merlin says
"Oh" Hadrian pouted
"Ooh how about Destroyer form" Hadrian asks excited
"Oh maybe Xeno Demon" Hadrian say
"Xeno Demon?" Merlin asks with a teasing grin
"Ok, maybe not that" Hadrian mumbles
"I'm certain you will come up with something," Merlin says with a chuckle.
Once Meliodas woke up the 3 went down to see that everyone was enjoying their time and having fun.
"Hey guys" Hadrian greets
"Hadrian!" The Sins yelled hugging Hadrian
"Hadrian it is so good to see you up and ok" King says
"Yeah Harry, even I was worried" Ban says happily
"What's up with the scar?" Hadrian asks confused
"Oh, it's nothing to worry about," Ban says nonchalantly.
"So what's going on?" Hadrian asks
"Oh not much we were celebrating our success against the Vampires, and we heard you took down the second strongest available" Ban explains
"He was tough, who took out the strongest?" Hadrian asks
"It was me, who did you expect?" Escanor asked
"Meliodas" Hadrian says immediately
"What, I am the strongest Sin" Escanor says prideful
"Ok then" Hadrian says waving him off.
After the party Meliodas took Hadrian to the spot where they normally train his demon powers.
"So what are we learning now?" Hadrian asks excitedly
"How to activate and control your Berserk Mode" Meliodas says
"Ok, I'll try to recreate what I did and go from there" Hadrian says.
Hadrian then sits down and closes his eyes, and activated his demon form and slowly it begins to grow, as it continues to grow so to does his power, as it grows Hadrian's body begins to release the dark red energy
Could it be that the magic that makes a person go Berserk Mode activates his magical ability stopping him from becoming a mindless killing machine, imagine if he had Assault Mode, he would have no risk of going completely emotionless unlike me Meliodas thought in shock.
Hadrian opens his eyes revealing black instead of its emerald green, and his face and the side of his torso are covered in darkness, but immediately afterwards it disappears
"That's takes too much out of me" Hadrian complains,
"I'm surprised that you did it" Meliodas says
"So am I, but I don't like it. Takes to much mental energy out of me" Hadrian explains
"Hmm, but if it makes you feel better look at your body" Meliodas says
Looking down Hadrian can see his magical ability active with his body releasing the dark red energy.
"What happened?" Hadrian asks surprised
"The reason Demons are so aggressive is because of the magic which makes them angry is from the dark magic, but you have an immunity towards that, you still get angry but the magic doesn't make it harder to control unlike me and other demons, so you got it easier there" Meliodas explains
"Well that's good to hear" Hadrian says cheerfully
"Yeah it does, but now I'm starting to question if there is anything that can over power your magical ability" Meliodas says.
"Hey Gil" Hadrian greeted
"Hey Harry" Gilthunder greeted
"You have grown man" Hadrian says with a smile
"Not as much as you have from what I've hear" Gilthunder says cheekily
"Hey being punched so hard you vomit out blood isn't nice" Hadrian informed his friend
"That painful?" Gilthunder asks
"Yes, but surprisingly fun" Hadrian says with a grin
"Your a monster" Gilthunder chuckles
"I'm pretty sure that isn't a surprise, after all I'm strong enough to be considered the 3rd strongest Sin and I'm 8" Hadrian says cheekily
"Yeah, I'm so jealous" Gilthunder says
"Maybe, but you got to enjoy your childhood while I spent 4 years of fighting, I began when I was 4 when I met Meliodas and that's when things led me to here" Hadrian says calmly
"I guess so, I do like relaxing and playing, and you fight a lot," Gilthunder says to himself.
"Hey Little Gilthunder, time to get training" Meliodas says happily.
"Ok!" Gilthunder says with determination
Later on Gilthunder took Hadrian to meet Griamore and Howzer
"Oh my god, you are Hadrian aren't you?" Howzar asks with amazed
"Yes I am, if I'm correct your Howzer right?" Hadrian asks curious
"This is so cool! Do you have a tattoo?" Howzer asks hopeful
Hadrian chuckles and pulls up his right sleeve
"So cool" Howzer says
"It is nice to meet you sir Hadrian" Griamore says shy
"Hey don't be like that. I'm just a kid like you" Hadrian says with a smile
"Except smashing through walls is the norm for you" Gilthunder teased looking at Hadrian
"Yes it is, it is fun but sadly you guys wouldn't be able to handle it" Hadrian says pouting
"And I would rather not go smashing through walls and consider it fun. Maybe you hit your head one to many times" Gilthunder teased
"Hey!" Hadrian protested causing the three to laugh.
Later in the day Meliodas and Hadrian are found with Zaratras who is completely drunk after having one mug of mead.
Why the hell is he so drunk? Is he that much of a light weight Hadrian thought confused.
"How can you be so powerful, 'Arry?" Zaratras slurred
"I guess it is hard work and pushing myself to my limits but I guess also luck with my magical ability which is incredibly useful" Hadrian says sipping his hot chocolate
"But why do you drink chocolate, why not mead?" Zaratras asked slurred
"Because I'm only 8" Hadrian informs the idiot
"Ah, I'm feeling a little light headed" Meliodas says after drinking his 39th barrel of mead.
What the hell? Why are you now feeling light headed? Hadrian thought shocked and confused as he looks at the barrels
"Hey Meliodas, how old are you?" Zaratras asks
"I'm 3000 years old" Meliodas says
"Wow, you know not even the demons or Goddesses have lived that long" Zaratras says shocked
"I know but I have tried to end it but the curse wont let me" Meliodas says upset Hadrian looks at his captain and best friend
"Meliodas?" Hadrian asks worried
"Don't worry about it Hadrian, you got nothing to worry about. I'm staying by your side. After all you're my little brother" Meliodas says as he side hugs Hadrian
"Thank you, big brother," Hadrian says as tears threaten to leave his eyes.
Afterwards the three went to sleep in their rooms and the night went by.
Hadrian Pov
Where am I? I wonder, when I look around, all I can see is darkness.
How do I get out of here? I thought as I began to walk in a single direction.
After what seemed like several minutes I began to run, faster and faster I go but there is no light. The world seems to be suffocated in darkness, when all hope seems lost I see light, knowing that there is nothing besides darkness the other way i believe it best to move towards light. As I get closer the world begins to brighten, until all darkness is gone. Looking around I see myself in the middle of a town, but it seems to be night time, and I seem to be on top of some platform. But looking around there didn't seem to be anything of interest until I saw it.
Meliodas floating upwards with his body facing up and a sword through his chest, I immediately ran towards him. I see Meliodas with his demon form active but it's not assault mode, his demon mark only seems to be halfway finished, only half a circle instead of his regular complete circle. Then I look at the sword, a winged silver sword which seems to be glowing white, with darkness where the blade has any contact with Meliodas.
It's keeping him like this! I thought angrily, Grabbing the hilt of the sword all I felt was pain, absolute pain and where my hand touched the hilt, darkness seemed to seep out of my hands and be destroyed by the light of the sword.
No, you will not take him from me! I will save him I thought angrily and I begin to pull harder on the sword and the pain begins to get worse
You will not take the man I look up to, you will not take the man who made me stronger! and you will not take the man who I see as an older brother! I thought with determination and then the blade was pulled out of Meliodas and my vision went white.
My eyes open and I immediately sit up breathing heavily, I then notice my surroundings.
I'm in my room, guess it was just a nightmare I thought sighing before I lay back down tired.
General Pov
Afterwards Hadrian spent some time with the Sins.
Hadrian spent some time with Ban, looking at the Meads and Ales for him and trying to stop him from stealing.
With, King, they both just slept on his pillow and occasionally stared at flowers in the royal palace.
While with Gowther they both just layed down on grass staring up at the sky while Hadrian explained some things about how people view things for a reason or another, Gowther had some trouble understanding but he understood a little bit, thankfully privacy is one of them.
"So privacy is something that should only be for you and those you trust?" Gowther asks
"It's not just trust, just because I trust you to watch my back doesn't mean you are trustworthy with keeping these secrets or the other way around, do you understand?" Hadrian asks
"I believe so," Gowther says.
"It means that some things are just worth keeping to oneself, I'm certain that if you find something you don't like about yourself you would not want someone commenting on it" Hadrian explains
"I see," Gowther mumbles as they look up at the sky.
With Escanor, the two were just talking about the types of drinks everyone likes to have and a few minor stuff.
While with Diane, she showed him her rock creations and what she did when she was younger while he suggested some ideas that she can use.
While with Merlin when they weren't making out or Hadrian wasn't being taught, the two messed around with potions and magical theories, and due to Hadrian being incredibly smart he was able to keep up, sort of.
And with the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, Meliodas. Hadrian spent time with him helping with Elizabeth who has grown into such a troublesome little girl, she began to call Hadrian, Bwotha 'Ary. Which he found adorable.
And the last person Hadrian spends time with was Gilthunder who he started to teach when Meliodas wasn't around and spending time with Howzer and Griamore who have been dubbed the trio of troublemakers which just make Hadrian laugh his ass off despite the trio's protests.
Yep for Hadrian's life in the Eight Deadly Sins was amazing.

"You're a pedophile!" Diane yells at Merlin
"No I'm not!" Merlin protests as she stares down her fellow Deadly Sin
"He was 6 you were a lot older" Diane yells out
"Look then" Merlin says, revealing her true form. Diane raises an eyebrow and stares at Merlin
"Still makes you a pedophile" Diane says nonchalantly.
"It does not!" Merlin protests
"Does to" Diane comments which leads to the two going back and forth
