The next two weeks would go by smoothly. And they did the rooms at both locations painted and furnished. They allowed the children to decorate their rooms. The older ones also painted their choice of colors.
The week of the cycle all came in for the new menu routine and evaluations. Parents could stay to help their children settle into the routine. The older crowd settled in nicely, only a few where marked for possible behavior issues.
Hermione, Poppy and Karen decided for the first cycle they would all be at Azkaban. They had all of the free medi witches and wizards there to help take notes on each person. Professor Snape and Professor Maynard also came to observe. They let all of the younger children change together with medi wizards watching them. They had a small group of the girls together and then a small group of the boys with Remus as pack leader. The professors walked around between the groups supervising in case of trouble. The rest were put in single rooms. Notes had been taken as the hours passed. Remus's only had to growl once or twice to settle disputes among the cubs. The group of girls got along fine. The ones that had been flagged earlier did take the night hard, but with a new routine they thought they would get better. Come morning Hermione snuck in to give Remus his loin cloth and place breakfast trays around for all of the boys. All of the trainees helped with delivering the breakfast trays, and then finished up with their observation notes.
'Well that went better than I could have hoped for.' Minerva spoke, with Poppy and Karen agreeing. 'Can we get everyone out in the main room for a brief meeting? While they eat and rest up.' They all talked about how the night went. One by one people started to leave their rooms and give there take on the night. The night notes where being turned in, Poppy and Karen where very pleased to hear most thought the night went well. The younger children would settle in quickly, the students would get the routine fast so school work wouldn't too disruptive. And only a few of the older ones would need more intensive work. They did all agree that they would keep the boys and girls separated for the school year.
'So is that Tonk's mark or is it…' Severus said as he turned to look at Hermione. 'Isn't she a bit young for you?'
'Um, age is only a number, and yes that's mine, Tonks didn't have the guts to mark her man, but I do. Do you have problem with it?' she sniped back. 'Yes we are dating, yes, it was my choice. He was worried about my safety around so many men during the moon, I decided this was the easiest way to keep him calm.' she looked up at her professor.
'Good to know, you found your alpha bitch, Lupin. Tonks was only good for popping out whelps.' as he turned and walked off with professor Maynard.
'Wow, she is a spitfire.' Maynard grinned.
'If you only knew.' a little jealous of the mark, he would have loved to have that spitfire in his bed, but alas she has been taken.
Hermione turned to look at Remus, 'Did I just do that?'
'Yup, and I think I saw a smirk on his face as he left. I think you might have just impressed him.' as he to smirked. 'Well let's see if what still needs to be done before we leave.
