'Why have I been called in Minerva?'

'Well Hermione, Professor Snape claims Teddy copied your work.'

'What? Which one and how?'

'Well this essay is almost exactly like yours.' he snarled. 'The one about werewolves, you wrote in the 3rd year.'

'Well that was the one for Professor Lupins class, that we didn't need to turn in but I did anyways. I never received it back so how did my son copy it? He has the same books I had, plus the one we wrote. So how many ways do you say with proper food and comforts a werewolf can lead a near normal life? Growing up he saw how I do my job and how I set up and write papers, so he has learned my ways. Teddy do you have your notes?' as she placed her hand out to collect them. 'Look all of his notes in order, ready to be written down.'

'But how did he get this parchment so perfect no marks or corrections?' handing Teddy's paper to her.

'These aren't written, they're printed? Did you use the printer?' looking over to her son sitting in the corner doodling on his pad of paper.

'Yes, I got it all done before… we lost dad, and I printed it out, I just couldn't write it out, then I got into my class books.'

'Oh, right,' Minerva spoke, 'Well it shows he did do the work so Severus please just drop this.' Severus's eye brow went up.

'Well then what are we doing about his disregard in my class room?'

'What is he doing?' Hermione asked.

'He sits in the back of the room and doodles most of the class.' Severus snarled.

'Teddy is this true?'

'Yes, mom I had already written out the ten uses of dragons blood, so I did what I was told, do not disturb the class.' Teddy didn't even lift his head from his work.

'Give me your potions book please,' as he reached down and grabbed it, opening the book to a random page. 'The instructions for Polyjuice potion, please?'

'Add 3 measures of fluxweed to the cauldron (must have been picked on a full moon).Add 2 bundles of knotgrass to the cauldron. Stir 4 times, clockwise. Wave your wand then let potion brew for 80 minutes ,for a Pewter Cauldron. A Brass Cauldron will only require 68, and a copper one only 60.'

'Professor Snape if you have not noticed but my son has a photographic memory, he reads a book once and knows it. And after we lost… Teddy turned to his books, I think he read all of the books for this year. He was told to doodle when he was done so he would not disturb the rest of the class. And to listen for his name at all times, Teddy how much Bicorn horn?'

'Add 1 measure of bicorn horn to the mortar, crush to a fine powder, then add one measure of the crushed horn to the cauldron.' He said not even looking up.

'Well we can't have…' Severus spat.

'Well then you have three choices, you deal with his doodling, I take him home and home school him, or you let him take his OWLS now and test out and move him up to 6th year, he hasn't read them yet so he would have to pay attention in class. So which is it?'

'How advanced is he?' Severus asked.

'Teddy can you come here, please? Now this is a first for you but, this produces a patronus, it is used to protect you from dementors and can be used to send messages, okay' he nodded, 'Expecto Patronum, flick your wand like this.' as she did the wand movement, 'To do this one you need a really happy thought. Can you try it please.' as she stepped back. He waved his wand said the words, to get a small wisp of silver from his wand. 'What memory are you using? The weekend we went to Windamere?' he nodded, 'How about the christmas you broke Harry's back window with your broom.' he smiled and nodded. He tried again, a larger wisp appeared. "Come on I know you can do this, do it for dad.' With that a large wolf jumped from his wand tip, it turned and walked up to Teddy and sniffed his hand.

'Oh,' Minerva stepped back not expecting the boy to get it on his 3rd try.

'Severus, he is as good as if not better than me in potions, you can see that, can't you? I started him cutting my veggies, to your perfect standards, please don't let that go to waste, If you put some effort into him he could become as good as you and be a potion master. You could take him as an apprentice for his 7th year? Or I could send him over to Slughorn to get his masters?'

'You, will not send that boy to that washed up…Fine, I will write an OWL up and if he can pass it he can move up.'

'Yes, I will have all of the teachers do the same, and we can move him up.' Minerva giggled.

'Thank you, I will go get his 6th year books sent up. Teddy I suggest you spend the next few days revising for your OWLS.'

'Yes, ma'am, Oh here aunt Minnie,' as he handed her a drawing, 'This is the one from when you came over and taught me the Animagus charm.'

'Oh, right this is beautiful,' as she turned it for Severus and Hermione to see. It was Minerva's animagus cat. It even had the perfect circles to match her glasses. 'And how is your Animagus doing?' as he changed, he walked over to Minerva for a petting and then changed back. Severus's jaw dropped at the site of the large wolf

'At least got play with dad few times before… I did it to help with the cubs.' as he looked up to Hermione, 'Remember the time I had to lay out Tommy Spinner, because he wanted to boss everyone around? You know he still won't look me in the eyes. I told him he just needed to settle down and we would be just fine but… oh well. When will my test be, Headmistress?' he stepped back into the student roll.'

'What this is Thursday so we should be able to get them ready for Monday bright and early, right Severus?' getting a nod from him.

'Okay I'll go review, bye mum, see you when I see you.' as he kissed her cheek, 'Oh professor Snape. I don't mind if you do.'

'Mind what?'

'Asking my mom out, I know you liked her back then, she asked me the other day if I would mind her dating again.'

'Teddy, What? How?' Hermione sputtered.

*Flashback*

"Miss. Granger, do you have a minute?" Severus said as he came around the corner.

"Yes, I just picked these up," holding up the stack of papers and books.

''Well two things, my Wednesday mornings are free for your potions class if you would like?" receiving a nod, "And if you ever find yourself single again I would be interested in pursuing you. Yes I know not to touch or interfere with you and Lupin. He would ripe my throat out at the mention of this conversation, but I just wanted you to know." He nodded and left, not giving her time to respond.

*flashback end*

'Well, I figured it out while I was sitting here. You always defended the Professor, when I came home complaining about him. You are dress in your dad is coming home today jeans and lip gloss, and his eyes haven't left you since we got here. So he is the one and I'm okay with it.' he pulled the last two doodles from his pad and handed them to Severus and left the office.

'Wow,' Minerva said looking over Severus's shoulder. One was of Hermione the other was of the two of them standing beside each other, 'Boy he is good.' Severus couldn't take his eyes off of them, she was beautiful, did she remember his request? 'Well don't want to be rude but I have another meeting, I will owl you with his results, middle of next week, good to see you again.' as she pushed them out of her office.

'Um, do you think she wanted us to go talk?'

'I'm sorry, you lost Remus?'

'Yes, the beginning of summer he was in some remote French town setting up a WCC Center and he was attacked by some neighboring village that didn't appreciate them putting the center so close to them, like 30 miles is close. But we did get to say goodbye.'

'I'm so sorry, I wish I had known I could have…'

'They kept it very quiet so it didn't mar the WCC reputation.'

'We have had time to come to terms with it, and we are ready to move on.'

'So soon? I would have figured…'

'That I would wait, well we have been a little strained for a while before he left, he wanted more children but I still not ready yet and then I found out I would not be able to have children, because of the cruciatus curse Bella gave me.'

'Wasn't Teddy enough for him?'

'He was but he was hoping for a little girl, and wanted me to try.'

'Did he know?'

'No, I only found out just after he left. When we first got together we did talk about me being not sure about having a baby or being able to, his age, and we had Teddy so we were good. And just after Teddy started school, the house was empty, he pushed a little harder for me to get pregnant. I think I want some more 'us' time, before another baby. We didn't have that time fourteen years ago, he showed up, and we became a family.' Severus's eye brow shot up. 'No I don't regret what we did, it would have been nice to be newlyweds before baby makes three.'

'Well, I'm just putting it out there, I cannot and do not want children.'

'But I have Teddy?'

'Oh I mean little ones running around, Teddy is fine, I can give him a potion book and send him to his room. When we want 'us' time.' he smirked.

'Oh really, you are getting awful cocky over there.' she blushed.

'I'm too old to play games Hermione, I have always been jealous of Remus, I always wanted what he had, a wife to come home too, a life to share and love in my life. So was the permission to date, for me?' not wanting to get his hopes up.

'Well definitely build a friendship back up. Remus was a bit jealous of you and didn't like me spending too much time with you once I got my NEWTS. We can start with a friendship and see if anything comes of it?'

'Yes, I would like that, it's hard to find ladies to have a rational discussion with. Oh and I have read your book about house elves, I really liked it, very insightful.' the bell rang for the next class.

'Sorry, but I need to go get his books, and I have an afternoon meeting. But you can send an owl any time.'
