She screamed.
He tried.
And fate played a very ugly trick on them.
Bogo's tranquility had already been shaken with the information about the theft. The cup with the coffee, something usual that the buffalo did every morning, had been untouched. After informing his agents to go and get the information, he considered drinking the coffee, but the warmth had already given way to cold and so he set it aside. With glasses over the tip of his nose, the papers with information from other cases, where Bogo had an obligation to read and give his statement, were putting him in a bad mood. Not that he wasn't already in an altered mood, but that news of the robbery made him even worse. Plus, he hoped that Judy and Nick would behave this time and obey the simple order. But he knew that wasn't going to happen. Such that, his feeling was confirmed when a panting Cheeta knocked once on the door and didn't wait for Bogo to permit him to open it.
"Chief, Wilde, and Hopps went after them!"
Bogo closed his eyes and took a deep breath, before opening his muzzle.
"Send two agents after them as soon as possible. Let Mark know I need him."
"Yes, sir!"
Saluting, Clawhauser closed the door and ran down the stairs.
Bogo slammed both fists closed on the table.
Always the same thing!
He was furious. He had seen it coming, but he thought this time they would be quiet with a simple order.
The taste was strange. Something like iron. He opened his eyes; his vision was blurry. In addition, a pain in his upper right on the head indicated that he must have been injured. He closed his eyes tightly again and opened them again. The vision started to become clear, but it gave him the feeling that the world was upside down. That's when something frightening caused his sleeping adrenaline to awaken.
It can't be!
It was his thought. A thought that was as true as him being upside down. Where the windows were cracked, and the roof of the car stained with his blood. The belt restrained his body from hitting his back. Since, once he unbelted it, it would be that part of his body that would be protecting a head onslaught causing fainting or even death.
Again, another thought. This one, however, caused terror in his heart. Judy! Where was she? Emerald-green eyes met the passenger seat and there was no sign of the figure of a doe. His heart began to beat at a very fast pace. And, without thinking, he woke up the belt. If God was with him at that moment, he did not ponder to think. Just as he didn't ponder to think about the consequences of unbuckling his belt. However, his back met the roof. Pain coursed down his spine like from a sharp splinter. After catching his breath, Nick maneuvered his body so that his feet were toward the door glass. Leaning his body to his left side, he raised his right leg and, with all his might, struck the glass. This resisted twice, being a police car and the glass being of different thickness, it prevented them from breaking in case they had to deal with gunshots. However, at that very moment, Nick would rather have the normal glass. Three strikes, but only a small hole opened. Even though these were cracked due to the vehicle flipping over, they didn't want to give way.
Come on!
Furious, he invested two more times, the fifth time the glass caved in. Without delay, Nick, at a cost, got out of the vehicle.
It took no more than ten minutes and the two patrol cars drove off at high speed towards Rainforest. The information was given by other officers who had seen a van speeding in that direction.
I hope they are okay!
Bogo had been informed that those thieves were not common. Detailed information was still being investigated. What was known until then, was nothing more than super common. One of them was a mechanic, the other had a little more than a record of times he had been arrested for drug dealing. However, none had the potential, based on this information, to even rob a bank like that.
A poorly told story.
"Boss, we're here!" Alerted Mark as soon as he stopped the car. "But we have a problem."
Bogo took a deep breath. What else to get in his way?
It was well known that in Rain Forest the rain did not give much of a truce. But that day, it seemed to want to be devastating. Or else those thieves took care of it.
The giant tree, thick and wide, stretched over the bridge. And if her architecture had been renovated, this tree will not cause any inconvenience, since they could control it on foot. The problem was that due to the many years and wear and tear, the tree caused it to break.
"Shit!"
The words came out of his mouth without any remorse.
"What do we do?" asked the agent at his side.
"We'll have to find a solution."
It wasn't simple. She knew it. Persuading him with words was out of the question. Judy didn't even know how it all happened. All she knew was that as soon as she opened her eyes, the image of a wolf invaded her field of vision. Pragmatic, white fur and crystal blue eyes, Judy could fall in love at first sight, if that wolf wasn't the thief who caused the theft and death to innocent people.
"Up close, Zootopia's most famous rabbit even has her charm." the wolf spoke, leaning a mocking smile on his muzzle.
Judy had her paws tied behind her back. She felt that her right ankle had been switched, due to the pain it gave her as soon as she tried to turn her foot. In addition, she felt a strange taste in her mouth. Iron. Her lower lip was cut. Other than that, her vision on the left side seemed a different color.
"Hey, we have work to do." the thick, deep voice, caught the wolf's attention.
"You're a killjoy." Eric sounded irritated at being called attention.
Judy merely remained silent and quiet in front of those two. Besides, her paws had been tied tightly. No matter how hard she tried to free herself, the task was proving difficult.
"The rabbit isn't going anywhere, and the fox is probably dead," informed the Bear scornfully.
At such words, Judy's heart soared. It couldn't be. Nick could not be dead at all.
"This junk has always given me trouble," cursed Chris, checking to see what the problem was this time. The hood had been opened. Leaning under the engine, the bear was cursing at that old junkyard.
"I told you we should have brought another car." with his arms crossed, Eric arched his eyebrows in displeasure.
"What's done is done. We need to hurry so we don't get caught."
"With the bridge cut off, they have no other access." Eric laughed.
"Bogo is smart and they are his favorite agents."
"The fox is gone." The wolf shrugged his shoulders satisfied.
"But not the rabbit!" said Chris, turning his head and pointing to Judy lying on her side on the floor, staring at them.
"Can I do whatever I want with her before we kill her?" Eric smiled even wider. His tongue licked his lips in a provocative way that made Judy sick to her stomach as soon as she saw such an attitude.
"Whatever. I need to get this truck moving. If you do, do it somewhere else. I don't want to have bad memories, please."
Having said this, the wolf didn't think twice. Leaving the bear to deal with the van, he approached the doe and crouched down, resting one knee on the ground and one elbow on the other bent leg.
"You're going to be a beautiful doe and cooperate, right?"
"Never!" She spat out the words, her eyebrows drawn together in an angry expression.
"You know that expression of yours turns me on."
Judy's stomach flipped after such words were uttered. Fear of him she was not. The only feeling was disgust.
"Touch me and I'll kill you!"
The wolf laughed heartily as if it were a joke.
"And tell me how, then?"
The difference in size was great. Of strength, too. And with her paws tied tightly together, there was no chance. She knew it, but she couldn't show agreement with that lunatic.
"I'll find a way!" words not clever.
The wolf just smiled. Then he stood up. He leaned over the doe, grabbed her, and put her on his shoulder.
"Before I kill you, let's have a little fun!"
And the two of them entered the deep forest.
To be continued…
