The many escapades of Zarbon: Volume Two
Zarbon learns an instrument
It was a well enough day in the Michigan town of Royal Woods when Zarbon, followed by Gasser and Nikki, approached the Loud family house. "Wow, I can't believe that I'm going on an adventure with you guys this soon," Nikki remarked, "Especially considering that I had just debuted back in the last chapter."
Shrugging, Gasser replied, "Well we're short on manpower right now due to Vegeta throwing a temper tantrum over being excluded from a party. But anyway, let Zarbon make the introductions here since he's familiar with the Louds."
Zarbon, Gasser, and Nikki walked up the steps of the porch and up to the front door. Knocking on the front door, Zarbon waited a bit until the door was opened from the inside by Lucy Loud, the nine-year-old goth girl among the Loud siblings. "Oh, hello Zarbon," Lucy greeted, being familiar with the elite space warrior from another planet, "Were you called in to babysit me and some of my siblings again?"
"No, this is just a social visit," Zarbon began to explain, "Your older sister Luna said she and her girlfriend Sam need to get three people to fill in for friends of theirs in their band as all three friends got sick. As such, I brought myself, Gasser, and Nikki to join the band."
Stepping to the side, Lucy replied as she gestured for the others to come on in, "Luna and Sam are in the kitchen. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go try and brainstorm some ideas on how I can increase my bust size."
"Lucy, sweetie, you're only nine," Zarbon replied as he, Gasser, and Nikki made their way inside and went towards the kitchen, "You are far too young to worry about being a big tittied goth girlfriend." Lucy looked on as Zarbon and the others made their way over to the kitchen.
...
After Zarbon and the others met her and Sam in the kitchen, Luna led all of them out to the garage. "Okay dudes," Luna began, "We've only got a week before the Battle of the Bands, and me and Sam's band mates aren't going to be recovered by then, so Sam and I will have to train the three of you."
"Who's ready to rock?!" Sam cheered as she pumped a fist into the air.
At Luna's instruction, Zarbon, Gasser, and Nikki went over to take a look at all of the instruments that there was to choose from. "I'm seeing a lot of options that are suggesting that we're going to be practicing music of a pagan folk variety," Gasser spoke up.
"Yeah, that's the theme of this upcoming Battle of the Bands," Luna admitted, "Not what the band usually does, but we do need to win one more Battle of the Bands event to qualify for the national Battle of the Bands championship."
Nodding once in understanding, Zarbon and the others all went back to looking at all of the various instruments that Luna and Sam had out for all of them to pick from. Gasser ended up with a pair of bongos, Nikki got an acoustic guitar, and last but not least, Zarbon got an ocarina.
Seeing that all of the recruits now had an instrument each, Luna nodded once before saying, "Good. Now all Sam and I have to do is train you guys in playing your chosen instruments." Luna and Sam began with Gasser, who was sitting cross-legged on the floor in the garage with the bongos in his lap. At the instruction of Luna and Sam, Gasser played a short, rhythmic bit of music on the bongos.
The two Royal Woods native girls nodded in approval. "Not bad, Gasser," Sam remarked, "Not bad at all." Turning to look at Nikki, Sam said, "Alright, Nikki. You're up."
"I actually have some history in playing the acoustic guitar," the Asian-Canadian teen girl remarked, right before playing a decent bit of music on the guitar, getting some impressed looks out of Luna and Sam in the process.
"Hot damn, you dudes are naturals at this!" Luna declared, clearly amused with the results thus far. Turning to look at Zarbon, Luna remarked, "Alright, it's your turn, Zarbon."
Holding up his ocarina, Zarbon said, "Well alright then, here it goes." Zarbon then proceeded to play a short but very good bit of music on his ocarina. It was also, unbeknownst to Zarbon, the exact bit of magic ocarina music that caused the weather to change to stormy rainfall, although it did take a couple of seconds to get going.
As Luna, Sam, Zarbon, Gasser, and Nikki looked outside via the garage door which was all the way up, Luna's younger brother Lincoln came into the garage, partly soaked from the rain. "Who had just played the Song of Storms on an ocarina?" Lincoln partly demanded, "Because this rainfall is going to be a long and hard pain in the fanny all day today."
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!" Zarbon cried out in aroused, sensual pleasure as he raised a hand, "Guilty as charged, Lincoln."
The sole Loud boy sighed in a mildly exasperated tone. "Well then you will be the one to explain to me and Luna's sister Lynn why her sport event today is going to have to be cancelled, Zarbon."
Author's notes;
Here we see Nikki getting out into the field right off the bat despite debuting literally in the previous escapade, due to Zarbon and his group being short handed due to Vegeta throwing a hissy fit over not being invited to a party. Zarbon gets to flex some musical muscles, although in all fairness his choice of the ocarina might not be the most optimal given what he did the first time he had played it. Well anyway, Cell and the others will appear next time to continue one of the ongoing arcs here.
