Zarbon's earring quest (part 3)
Zarbon, with Aizawa on his left and Lilimon on his right, followed along behind Tanjiro and Inosuke as they were making their way over to the home of the daughter of the woman who had mugged Tanjiro for his special earrings last Black Friday. The woman gave the earrings to her daughter as a gift on Christmas, and now Tanjiro was about to get them back after so long.
"Remind me again why Lilimon and I are here?" Aizawa asked dryly.
"Because we needed spot fillers due to Zenitsu and Nezuko both having been killed at Lilimon's party, " Zarbon explained, "Remember? We're still looking into gathering the Dragon Balls so we can wish back everyone who had died at the party."
"Which we will do after we handle the issue of business immediately before us," Tanjiro said, then pointed to the house in front of everyone and added, "We just go in, get my earrings, forcefully if need be, leave, then look into the matter of the Dragon Balls to wish back Nezuko, Zenitsu, and all of the other folks who had died at the party."
Inosuke nodded in agreement with Tanjiro's plan. "It's a simple smash and grab. Sounds easy enough." Pounding a fist into his open hand, Inosuke said, "Let's break this bitch!"
Tanjiro nodded tentatively at Inosuke. "Only if need be. If we can still get my earrings back without having to physically rough the girl up, then I'd like to try for that."
Aizawa nodded approvingly of Tanjiro's mindset here. "You can keep your head leveled. That's good." With Tanjiro leading the way, the party of five made their way into the home of the girl who had Tanjiro's earrings.

A short while later, the girl who had Tanjiro's earrings was tied down to a wooden chair via Aizawa's capture weapon as Aizawa, Zarbon, Lilimon, Tanjiro, and Inosuke all looked down at her. "What do you guys all want with me?!" the girl cried out of clear fright.
Tanjiro took out a photo of himself wearing his special earrings. Showing it to the girl, Tanjiro said, "See the earrings that I'm wearing in this photo? Your mom mugged them from me last Black Friday, then gave them to you as a gift on Christmas!" Putting the photo away, Tanjiro went on, "All that I'm wanting with you is to get my special earrings back. They're a very important heirloom to my family, so if I can get them back, my party and I will untie you and we'll leave."
Giving Tanjiro a curious look, the girl replied, "Wait, my mom mugged those earrings off of you? She told me that she had bought them off of a stranger that she encountered while she was shopping on Black Friday."
"Well your mom's a fat fucking liar," Lilimon retorted dryly, "Anyway, just give us Tanjiro's special earrings and we'll untie you and leave."
Gently shaking her head, the girl said, "Sorry, but I can't do that."
Looking around, Lilimon saw that the girl's computer was on and that it was open to a Photoshop program, where the girl was editing a photo of herself. "Oh my goodness!" Lilimon remarked with a knowing hint in her tone as she went over to the computer. Sitting down, Lilimon edited the girl's photo, her back blocking the view of what she was doing from the others in the room. Finishing her work, Lilimon continued with the same knowing hint, "You never told us that you used to be..." Lilimon then turned aroune to show that she had edited the girl's photo to make the girl super fat. "...Four-hundred pounds overweight!"
The girl screamed in fright as she saw how Lilimon's editing of the photo had made her very obese. "Please don't put that up on the internet!" the girl cried, practically begging, "I'll be ruined on social media!"
"Then give us Tanjiro's special earrings," Lilimon demanded, flatly and dryly.
"I told you that I can't!" the girl said, "I gave them to my boyfriend when he saw them and expressed interest in them!"
The others all looked at the girl curiously. "You gave them to your boyfriend now?" Tanjiro remarked.
Jerking her head to gesture at something, the girl explained, "I got a framed photo of us together over there." Tanjiro went over to the table that the girl jerked her head at, found the only framed photo that was on the table, then picked it up to look at it. When he saw who was in the photo with the girl, Tanjiro let out a surprised gasp of shock.
"It's Muzan!" Tanjiro exclaimed upon seeing the lord of all demons in the photo with the girl, "Her boyfriend is Muzan!" Turning to look at the rest of his group, Tanjiro said, "This goes in way deeper than I had imagined!"
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!" Zarbon cried out in aroused, sensual pleasure, "Don't worry, Tanjiro, you can count on us!" Tanjiro nodded to the group in thanks, grateful that he wasn't going to have to confront Muzan alone.

What's this? Muzan has Tanjiro's special earrings? What nefarious scheme could the lord of all demons be planning this time? We'll have to see the next time this arc continues, because the next chapter, which has Cell and the others, will see them take care of some important business.
