So, here it is, after four months, the first trial is about to begin. Honestly, I'm nervous. This is the first time in a long time that I've done one of these, so I just hope I haven't lost my touch. This chapter won't be as long as the Daily life, but I plan it to be longer than the investigation. Also, for those who want to know who stands next to who during the trial, from left to right, these are the positions:

L to R in the circle, the last one is on the opposite side of the first name mentioned: Shigaraki, Ruby, Dio, Natsuki, Max, Deliah, Neil, Monika, Harry, Velma, Jaune, Nikki, Shaggy, Daphne (Dead), Erina, Izuku.

Anyways, I'm stalling. Now, time to get to the trial… oh boy, a lot of people are going to hate me for this, aren't they…

Welcome to…

[Karmic Justice for the unjust – Camp Trial]

[Play: Boy's Life in Despair]

"Glad you all could make it!" Monokuma said his voice chipper as Shigaraki looked around the trial room. The walls were painted as if they were inside some kind of fever dream, flowers and red stripes everywhere. It looked like something out of an early 1960s cartoon. In the center of the room, there were 16 different pedestals, all of which looked like witness stands. All of them had names on them, one for each person. However, there was one that caught everyone's attention.

"H-Hey, is that—?" Shaggy's question was answered by Velma, who glared at the bear.

"What. Is. That?" Velma growled as Monokuma laughed. The reason as to why Velma was so mad was because, where Daphne's stand was, there was a portrait of Daphne with black ribbons drooping over the picture and a giant pink X scrawled over the picture of the Ultimate Fashionista.

"Oh, that? Well, I figured it would be unfair if one person were left out just because they died, so… why not have them here in picture form? Sure, they can't talk or say who did it, but it's the thought that counts. Trust me. I've been doing this over, the maximum of ten years, maybe more, so I know what I'm doing," Monokuma said, waddling up to a massive throne behind all of the stands.

"That no-good rotten—" Velma was stopped by Shaggy, who placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't. He's trying to get a reaction out of everyone. Let's just head to our stands and get this over and done with. The longer we're here, the longer it'll take for Daphne to get the justice she deserves," Shaggy stated, walking over to his stand.

One by one, everyone followed in his place. Shigaraki had a full view over everyone else, but in return, they all did as well. To his left stood Ruby Rose, and to his right stood Izuku Midoriya. Everyone had either a nervous, annoyed or angry expression on their face. Some even had a look of indifference.

Everyone was here for a reason, that much was for sure, and that reason was to put the killer to justice and have Daphne be avenged for her death. As soon as everyone got ready and Monokuma plopped down on his throne, a devilish smirk came across his face.

"Oooh~! I'm so excited! I haven't done one of these in… well, in about a year! I can't wait to see the looks of Despair when you figure out who did it! Now, with all the B.S. out of the way, let the Camp Trial BEGIN!

[ALL RISE: COURT IS IN SESSION]

[Play: Class Trial: Dawn Edition]

"A-hem. Before we actually begin the Camp Trial. There are a few things I need to go over. That way, everyone has a basic understanding of how this will go. Since this is the first time, I'll explain everything in detail. This is a simple case of "Whodunnit." During your investigations, you have collected evidence of your own accord. Everyone here has different evidence or truth bullets, as I call them, so this is a battle of everyone's truth and everyone's lies. After the trial is over, everyone will vote on a person they believe is the Culprit. Everyone except the blackened gets to leave if you pick the right person. But if you choose the wrong person~! Well, it's the complete opposite, the blackened leaves, and everyone else gets punished. Now, with the needlessly long explanation out of the way, let the trial commence!"

When Monokuma finished explaining, people started side glancing at one another. A wave of silence hit the room as, finally, after a minute, Jaune spoke up.

"So… does anyone know what to do first? 'cause I sure as hell don't," the blond stated, rubbing the back of his head with a confused expression on his face.

"Well, who did Monokuma give the file to? I don't remember being told the basic information, so whoever has the Monokuma file, speak up." Natsuki spat, crossing her arms as Shigaraki let out a sigh.

"Yeah, I suppose. Alright, I'm only gonna say this once, so listen up. As we all know, the victim was Daphne, she died due to blunt force trauma, and the weapon was a heavy blunt object. She died at 10:00 PM, and, well, we all know when and where we found her. It's also important to note that she was stabbed in the back of the head with something sharp as well, so we have two weapons to figure out," Shigaraki explained as everyone took in the information.

Another wave of silence went over everyone as, after another minute, Neil spoke up.

"Well, uh… as one of the people who didn't actually go into the G-Greenhouse, what exactly are the weapons?"

"I can tell ya that one, there was a bloody rake and a mallet," Max stated as Dio hummed.

"So, we have two weapons, one a sharp object, and one a heavy blunt object. That was relatively simple. However, I have a question for Monokuma," Dio asked as Monokuma hummed.

"Oh, already? Well, give it a shot, Mr. Brando, whaddya got for little old me?" Monokuma asked as Dio sneered.

"Right, well, if you already know who the killer is, why not just punish them now? Clearly, you know, otherwise, this wouldn't be a fair trial, wouldn't it? Why hold this stupid trial if you already know?" Dio questioned as Monokuma laughed.

"Well, of course, I know who did it. However, the point is for you guys to figure out who did it amongst you. I'm just a spectator, to be honest. After all, as the host of this game, I can't just not watch my own game to make sure no one breaks the rules! I'd be a bad host!" Monokuma said as Dio hummed.

"Interesting, okay, good to know…." Dio said as Nikki was the next one to speak.

"Uh, okay, I'm not the only one confused here, right? If the stabby-stabby guy or gal killed Daphne at 10:00 PM, then how did they leave the Greenhouse?" Nikki questioned as Ruby snapped her fingers.

"Yeah, that's actually a good question. How did they leave? The last time I checked, it's against the rules to sleep anywhere but the cabin area. So how did they leave?"

"Well, let's find out, that's what we're here for, are we not?" Monika said, a solemn smile taking the place of a frown. Shigaraki tensed. This wasn't going to be good.

Let the first argument commence!

[Play: V3 Argument {BREAK}]

Ruby: So… how did the killer leave the greenhouse?

Max: They could have just left through the door, there, easy, no need to argue.

Shaggy: Uh, I hate to break it to you, little man, but the door to the Greenhouse locks at 10:00 PM, so that's not possible….

Max: Shit…

Izuku: Maybe they were able to pick the lock?"

Monika: I highly doubt that, if they were able to pick the lock, then why wasn't the lock broken?

Jaune: Maybe they broke a window?

[Shigaraki & Jaune: CONSENT]

"I agree with Jaune, and I have the proof to back it up," Shigaraki stated as Jaune gave a surprised expression.

"Wait, seriously? I was just guessing. Maybe I am smart after all! Suck it, Professor Port!" Jaune said, a proud smile on his face as his comment went ignored.

"In the greenhouse, nearby the body, there was a shattered window, meaning that the killer most likely broke the window to get out. Because, otherwise, they would be forced to stay in there till the day came up, and they wouldn't be able to sleep, because if they did, they would be punished by Monokuma for breaking the rules." Shigaraki explained as Neil hummed.

"Okay, but… what did they use to break the window then? Depending on what kind of glass it was, a simple rock wouldn't be able to break it, so…?" Neil questioned as Shigaraki hummed. He knew what it was, so…

I GOT IT!

Truth Bullet used: Glass residue on mallet

"Because of the glass residue on the mallet. When I was doing my investigation, and I felt across the face of the weapon, I cut my finger on glass residue. Not to mention, how else would it get any glass shards on there without it being used to break it?" Shigaraki stated as Dio nodded in approval.

"Very well, you made your point. But now, here's the question, how did the mallet and the rake get to the greenhouse. Items don't just teleport from one place to another like that. If I had to guess, our blackened most likely planned right after the motive at 7:00 PM, so they had plenty of time to set up. So, why don't we have that as our next point of contention?" Dio stated with a smug smile on his face.

Let the second argument commence!

[Play: V3 Argument – TURN UP THE HEAT]

Dio: So, does anyone know where these weapons came from?

Natsuki: If we fuckin' knew, we would've told you already, jeez…

Erina: Well, you don't need to be rude about it.

Velma: But he does make a point, where did the weapons come from?

Deliah: Maybe someone had weapons in their cabin?

Harry: Why would someone have weapons in their cabin, specifically a rake and a mallet? That'd be completely pointless.

Ruby: As a weapon enthusiast, I am offended by your remark!

Shaggy: I think I know where they came from. They came from the shed adjacent to the greenhouse.

[Shigaraki & Shaggy: CONSENT]

"I Agree With That!"

BREAK!

[Play: Class Trial: Dawn Edition]

"I knew you would. After all, you were there, weren't you?" Shaggy asked as Shigaraki nodded.

"Yeah, an hour before the murder, I decided to do some snooping around, and I had completely forgotten to look into the shed by the greenhouse during our initial investigation of the camp a few days back. In the shed, there was a mallet rack and a rake in the corner, along with other gardening supplies. And wouldn't you know it, this murder uses both objects from the shed, a mallet and a rake," Shigaraki explained as Erina smiled.

"Very well, but now that we know this, I think it is safe to say that we can say who the killer is, right, Shaggy?" Erina said with a coy smile on her face.

[Play: Class Trial: Space Edition]

"WHAT?!" Shaggy shouted, an angry tone to his voice as he balled up his fist. "EXCUSE YOU! Are you saying that I, one of Daphne's friends, killed her?!" Shaggy growled as Velma recoiled.

"Shaggy, calm down!" Velma said, glaring at Erina. "I have to ask, why would you think Shaggy did this?" Velma questioned as Erina folded her hands under her chin, a dark look in her eyes.

"Oh, but I'm not the only one who thinks this, am I right, Dio?" Erina asked as Dio snickered.

"You'd be correct, darling. How would Shaggy know right away that the tools for the murder were originally in the shed? Not to mention, we saw him leave that area right around the time of her death. Unless you care to tell us wrong, then I'd have to say that we're ready to—"

"Now hold on there, dickhead. I can vouch for him," Shigaraki snarled, glaring at Dio, who scoffed.

"Oh, how so?" Dio questioned, crossing his arms with a condescending look in his eyes.

"Simple, If you bothered to stay there long enough, I was right behind him, that, and we left 30 minutes before she died, you dolt. It was 9:30 when I returned to my cabin, as did he. I was right behind him, so how on earth could he have turned around and gone back to kill Daphne when A. She wasn't even there yet, and B. How was he supposed to get around me not seeing him? Unless you can answer those two questions, then your accusation is based on NOTHING." Shigaraki spat as Dio and Erina looked at one another. A nervous glance was shared before Erina tried to speak up.

"Well… um… I…" Erina stammered before looking down. "Drat…"

"Are you seriously going to just—"

"Well, they got us, right? Sorry about that, it's just, I was so sure we were right, my apologies," Erina interrupted, apologizing as the tension in the courtroom died down, though only a little bit.

[Play: Class Trial: Dawn Edition]

"Okay, so now that we got that stupid shit out of the way, can we continue as normal, or are we going to have another schism like that again?" Max questioned as Izuku hummed.

"Well, there is something on my mind, Shigaraki, and it has to do with what you just said. Why exactly were you in the shed?" Izuku asked, a puzzled expression on his face as Shigaraki facepalmed.

"It's like he didn't hear me…. God, what a waste of my time," "I literally only went there because that was the only thing I had yet to check out during our self-imposed tour of the island. I don't know what more I can tell you, brat. I went there at 9:15 PM, was seen by Shaggy, then left at 9:30 PM. Though, I do want to note that nothing was missing at that time, so either the killer followed us there or had been hiding there the whole time, waiting for us to leave," Shigaraki stated as Izuku nodded.

"I see… got it, it's just, damnit," Izuku muttered. Shigaraki raised an eyebrow when a sudden realization came over him.

"Did he ask me that because… he wanted to see if I was the killer?! Jeez, that kid really does hate me. I don't blame him, but sheesh."

"Anyways, moving on, let's talk about something more… pressing," Harry said, getting everyone's attention.

"Okay, what is it?" Ruby asked.

"Well, why did Daphne go to the greenhouse in the first place? That's something that has been bugging me even before the trial. We know Daphne wasn't dragged into there mostly because of a lack of drag marks, and all the blood was in the greenhouse. So… she had to be there for a reason. So, what was the reason?" Harry asked as no one answered.

No one seemed to have an answer. However, after a few more seconds, Velma spoke up.

"Actually, I… I might know," Velma said, a dread-filled look on her face as Shaggy raised an eyebrow.

"Wait, you know why she went to the greenhouse?" Shaggy asked as Velma nodded.

"I hate to be the one to rush things along, but if you know, please, for her sake, tell us. Why did she go to the greenhouse?" Monika asked, a concerned expression on her face as Velma sighed.

"Well, Daphne and I had an argument a few moments before she went. It was… about the motive. I wanted to rescue the hostages, while Daphne said she didn't care. I got mad at her, and… well, she stormed off to the nature area with the greenhouse. Before leaving, they told me that they had someone they were planning to meet. They didn't say who, but… that was the last thing Daphne said to me before they left. It was also the last time I'd see her… alive," Velma explained, her expression turning sombre as Deliah gave her a sympathetic look.

"It's okay. At least now we're going to put Daphne's killer to justice here," Deliah said as Velma smiled, though only slightly.

"Thanks…"

"Okay, now, on a completely unrelated note… what about that rose?" Jaune asked, catching everyone's attention.

"Rose? What rose?" Ruby asked as Jaune raised an eyebrow.

"You guys didn't see? On the body, there's a rose on her legs. It seemed inconsequential at first, but a part of me wonders why it's even there in the first place?" Jaune questioned as Monika raised an eyebrow.

"What does a rose have to do with any of this? Shouldn't we be focusing on other things?" Monika asked as Jaune shook his head.

"Yeah, Yeah, I know. But… it's just. It's a weird place to put a rose, you know? You usually only place a rose on a body when you're giving your regards, and last I checked, killing someone doesn't mean you like them. Which means there has to be some hidden meaning behind the rose, right?" Jaune explained as Velma hummed.

"A calling card? Are you suggesting that the person who killed Daphne was a serial killer?" Velma asked as Deliah went pale.

"A-A serial killer?" Deliah stammered a scared expression on her face as Jaune shook his head before shrugging.

"I mean, I guess, but no one here is the "Ultimate Murderer," or the "Ultimate Serial Killer," or the "Ultimate Killing Fiend," so I don't think that a serial killer lurks amongst us," Jaune stated as Izuku scoffed.

"I mean, does Shigaraki count as a serial killer? He has killed before, so—"

"Oi, shut it, brat. I'm pretty sure the answer is obvious. By the law, I'm considered a serial killer, a kidnapper, a psychopath, and a domestic terrorist. I think it's a given considering my Talent being The Ultimate Criminal Mastermind," Shigaraki interrupted as Izuku recoiled.

"Right…"

"Okay, aside from that outburst, let's go back to the rose. Now that Jaune has mentioned it, he's right. Unless the killer was remorseful for their actions, which they clearly aren't if we're still here, then perhaps we should look into the meaning of the rose a bit more," Erina suggested as Neil nodded.

"I second that motion," the scientist stated as Shigaraki sighed.

Let the third argument commence!

[Play: V3 Argument: BREAK]

Nikki: I don't see why the rose is so important… I mean, it's just a rose, right?

Jaune: No, I'm sure that there is more to it than that!

Shaggy: But what is there to say? It's just a simple little rose, right? How could it possibly link to the killer?

Harry: Maybe Daphne picked it? I don't know. I'm just throwing stuff out there…

Max: Clearly, the killer picked it, dumbass. That's what this whole argument is about! Sheesh…

Ruby: What if it just… Fell off?

BREAK!

[Play: Class Trial: Sun Edition V3 {Ver.B}]

"Huh? What, it's possible!" Ruby defended, puffing her cheeks as Shigaraki shook his head.

"Nope, not at all. I was in the room the longest with the body, and I inspected the rose more carefully when Velma, and later then, Max, left the greenhouse. When I gave it another look over, I saw that there was blood on the rose, but it was a different consistency and dryness to Daphne's blood," Shigaraki explained as Velma raised an eyebrow.

"That's a bit of stretch. How can that be possible?" Velma asked as Shigaraki smirked.

"Velma, I think this is the third time I've said this, but I'm a criminal. You learn to watch for things like that. I'm basically a mini-detective when noticing small, inconsequential details. It doesn't help that my crew is filled with an arsonist, a psychopathic murderer, a weeb with delusions of grandeur, and a guy with a dissociative identity disorder," Shigaraki stated with a borderline emotionless expression.

"Okay, so let me get this straight. You're saying that our resident killer got their blood on the rose, right?" Natsuki asked as Shigaraki nodded.

"Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. What of it?" Shigaraki asked as the fuchsia-haired girl sighed.

"How, though?" Natsuki questioned as Shigaraki deadpanned.

"You're seriously not asking that, are you?" the teal-haired man asked, his eyebrows lowered in disbelief.

"Yes, I am," Natsuki stated, crossing her arms.

"One word for you: Thorns." Shigaraki answered, giving the teen a "are you stupid" look as Natsuki looked away, clicking her tongue.

"Tch! I- Nevermind," Natsuki said, dejectedly as Shaggy spoke up next.

"Okay, so the killer got their blood on the rose. What now? It's not like we can analyze it and DNA search it through a database, unless, of course, we can?" Shaggy asked as Shigaraki shook his head.

"No, that's not my point. I don't think the rose was put there on purpose. My thinking is that perhaps the killer picked the rose, intending on hanging onto it, but dropped it when they pricked their finger, and decided that it looked better on Daphne's body as a way to mislead everyone, then take it back. Plus, if they had the rose, it would've been obvious as to who the killer was," Shigaraki explained as Jaune huffed.

"Well, that answers my question, I guess. But now what?" Jaune asked as Deliah spoke up.

"How about we ask the big question in the room, aside from who the killer was. Who did Daphne go up to meet?" the brunette asked as Harry snapped his fingers.

"Hey, there we go! I was wondering that. Whoever met up with Daphne HAS to be the killer!" Harry stated, the revelation coming through everyone.

"Okay, so now we need to go over some alibi's, and just in case, someone who can verify their alibi's. Those who don't have an alibi, or have one, but it can't be verified, will be on the chopping block," Monika stated, crossing her arms. "I'll go first because I was with the most people, or at least in the vicinity of most of the people. From what I can recall, I was in the kitchen with Natsuki in the cafeteria building. In the main room of the cafeteria, I distinctly remember Jaune and Ruby being there. This was just after the motive had been announced," Monika stated as Natsuki nodded.

"Yup, I can verify that as fact. We were in the kitchen baking to keep our minds off of the motive," Natsuki stated, glancing at Ruby. "I can also vouch for them, as I saw them through the door window," Natsuki said, as Ruby and Jaune nodded.

"Same goes with us. We can verify for them too. So we're clear," Ruby stated as Velma spoke up.

"Before I argued with Daphne and went to my cabin, her, Shaggy, and I were walking around the camp talking about the motive," Velma explained as Shaggy hummed.

"Yup, I broke off later and saw Shigaraki at the shed, then he and I went back to the cabins. He went into his place while I spotted Deliah and Harry talking on Harry's cabin's stairs before going into my own," Shaggy stated as the blond nodded.

"I saw Shaggy out of the corner of my eye, even waved at him, so he's not lying," Harry confirmed as Dio spoke up next.

"I was with Erina at the beach," Dio stated as Erina nodded.

"Yup, yup. I can agree with that. I wanted to talk to him in private, and since most everyone else was in the cabin area, we chose to talk there," Erina explained as Max cursed under his breath.

"I… I don't have an alibi. All I can say was that I was wandering around…." Max groaned as Neil shuttered.

"I stayed in my cabin…." The scientist muttered as Nikki smiled.

"I was climbing things to annoy Monokuma!" Nikki said as Izuku looked away.

"And I was walking around, same as Max. I don't have an alibi," Izuku claimed as Jaune slammed his hand down like a hammer into the palm of his hand with a smirk.

"Great, so we got four suspects! That's shorten's things down a bit!" Jaune smirked as Shigaraki shook his head.

"No, we have three," Shigaraki corrected as Jaune raised an eyebrow.

"Huh? How?" the boy asked as Shigaraki sighed. Did he really have to explain it?

Truth Bullet used: Neil's Hemophobia

"Neil is Hemophobic," Shigaraki explained as Ruby raised an eyebrow.

"Don't you mean Homophobic?" Ruby asked as Shigaraki shook his head.

"No, Hemophobic, the fear of blood, specifically, large amounts of blood. It makes him faint. If he were the murderer, he most likely wouldn't have been able to stay awake long enough to finish it. Any amount of blood would cause him to panic and run. So we can safely say that Neil is NOT the Culprit," Shigaraki said as Monika hummed.

"So that leaves Nikki, Max, and Izuku. Let's tackle them in descending order, so Nikki is next," Monika said as everyone turned to face the blue-haired child.

"As I said, I was climbing around and on stuff to annoy the bastard bear. Someone's gotta keep him on his toes," Nikki said, a smile on her face as Monokuma growled.

"Yeah, that little shit! I should punish you for it too, but it's not against the rules!" Monokuma snarled as he covered his mouth. "Oops, my bad," Monokuma said as Shigaraki shrugged.

"Well, that was easy," Shigaraki said as Harry raised an eyebrow.

"You're just going to take it at its face value? He's the guy who put us here, and you're just going to believe him?" Harry asked as Shigaraki nodded.

"Yup. He doesn't have any reason to lie, so I'm taking his word for it. This just leaves Max and Midoriya," Shigaraki stated as Max scoffed.

"Seriously, I—"

"HOLD ON!"

Everyone looked at Neil, who had an annoyed look on his face. "I don't do this often, so I'm going to make damn sure you listen to me. Max is not the killer!" Neil shouted as Shigaraki raised an eyebrow.

"But he's still a suspect. We have to look over everything, otherwise—"

"I don't give a shit! Max is not the killer, and that's final!" Neil interrupted Shigaraki as the teal-haired man's sweatdropped.

"Shit, he's not gonna listen, is he…." Shigaraki thought, glaring at the boy. "If he wants to defend his friend so badly, he better have enough proof for it because the last thing I want is to be punished by Monokuma because of this brat's insistence." Shigaraki narrowed his eyes as he began to prepare himself mentally.

"Shut the fuck up and listen, you pint-sized brat. I've got the proof you're looking for. It might not be enough proof, but it's something!" Shigaraki snarled as Neil recoiled.

"W-What?!"

"Wait, you actually have something on Max, Tomura?" Natsuki asked, surprised as Shigaraki sighed.

"Yes, I do. Nikki, do you remember the testimony you told me?" Shigaraki asked as Nikki stared blankly for a second before realizing.

"Oh! You mean when I saw Max walk out of the forest muttering about something with a rose?" Nikki said as her expression slowly shifted into one of realization. "Oh… oh wait… Max, no, you didn't…." Nikki said, her eyes widening as Max recoiled.

"W-What! Fuck no! I didn't kill that bitch!" Max shouted as Monika hummed.

"I don't know. Seems kind of suspicious to me. After all, the way you're acting makes me think otherwise," Monika said as Max snapped over to where she stood to look in her direction.

"Fuck off, if you were accused of killing someone, you'd have every right to be as defensive, if not more so, than I am!" Max snapped as Shaggy glared at Max.

"Hey, Nikki, what time did you see him come from the forest at?" Shaggy growled as Nikki looked at Max, teary-eyed as she stammered.

"10:00 PM… I think…" Nikki muttered, blinking a few times as Neil slammed his hand on his podium.

"Max, come on, tell me you didn't do it!" Neil demanded as Max just festered in anger, mumbling incoherently.

"You son of a bitch! You killed her, you mother fucker!" Shaggy yelled, anger in his eyes as Dio scoffed.

"Honestly, that seems right to me," Dio said, crossing his arms.

"If Dio thinks so, then I believe it as well! Max is a cold-blooded killer!" Erina stated, her expression becoming serious.

"I knew it. I knew you were trouble right from the get-go!" Natsuki snarled.

"I honestly can't believe you, you little brat. I hope you burn in hell for what you did, not to mention that yellow fabric matches your shirt. Wow, I can't believe I didn't see it sooner." Velma sneered.

"Serves you right," Izuku stated, crossing his arms.

"Let's just vote now and get this jerk out of here. The less I see of his face, the better," Deliah stated, glaring at Max.

Monokuma was about to speak when suddenly.

"WAIT!" Shigaraki shouted, causing everyone to look over at him.

"What do you mean 'wait,' we have our Culprit right here!" Natsuki growled as Shigaraki shook his head.

"You guys are jumping the gun far too quickly on this. This type of rash decision will only get us punished and let the killer go free!" Shigaraki stated as Dio scoffed.

"You're the one who supplied the proof, Tomura. Are you changing your mind that quickly?" Dio asked as Shigaraki frowned.

"It was one piece of evidence, a singular one, not two, not three, not all, but one. I get that we've been down here for a while, but we can't just jump these sorts of things!" Shigaraki stated as Ruby spoke up.

"Yeah, come on, guys, maybe he pricked his finger on a rose bush or something else!" The teen stated as Jaune nodded.

"That, and he's just a little kid, I don't think he can do stuff like that in the first place," Jaune said, a determined look in his eye.

"I want to believe in my friend. I don't think he did it!" Neil stated as Nikki wiped the tears starting to form in her eyes away.

"Y-yeah, Max can't be the killer. I refuse to believe it!" the blue-haired girl declared.

"And I personally think it makes no sense for him to be the killer," Harry started, crossing his arms. "There isn't enough proof, at least not yet."

"I agree with Harry, I don't think Max did it, no offence to the boy, but I don't think he's capable," Monika stated. The court was evenly divided, and as soon as it happened, Monokuma laughed.

[Stop OST]

"Is the court split down the middle! Oh boy! It's time!" Monokuma stated, a wheel appearing in front of him.

"Time for what?" Velma asked as Monokuma's right eye gleamed, pulling a key out from behind him.

"It's time for… a DEBATE SCRUM! When half of the court doesn't agree with the other half, it's called a split jury, so now, we'll hold a debate. Whoever wins the debate, in my opinion, will have the rest of the trial in their hands! Team Shaggy says Max is the Culprit, while Team Tomura says Max isn't the Culprit! Now, time to split it all up!" Monokuma said, putting the key into the wheel and turning.

[Play: DEBATE SCRUM]

As soon as this happened, the stands began to lift out of the ground, causing a few of the people on them to regain their balance. The stands were divided up into teams.

Team Shaggy: Shaggy, Velma, Izuku, Dio, Erina, Natsuki, and Deliah – Max Is The Culprit!

Team Shigaraki: Shigaraki, Nikki, Neil, Max, Harry, Ruby, Jaune, and Monika – Max Isn't The Culprit!

DEBATE!

Shaggy: How can he not be the Culprit? Shigaraki already said it himself!

Shigaraki: No, I didn't, you idiot. I only mentioned that he pricked his finger on a thorn!

Velma: He has absolutely no way of denying it. If he didn't kill her, why hadn't he said anything sooner!

Ruby: It's hard for him to do so when everyone shouts over top of him like you guys were!

Izuku: He pricked himself on a rose thorn, right? Well, that rose on Daphne works just fine, doesn't it?

Nikki: What if he just pricked his finger on that rose, then came back to the main area, and that's when the killer struck!

Dio: I don't think that's possible. Besides, that yellow fabric seems to point towards him.

Max: In case you haven't noticed, dipshit, I wear a BLUE hoodie over top of my YELLOW shirt!

Erina: Why else would Max be in the area that Daphne was, if not to meet up with her and kill her!

Neil: To get away from you crazies! That's why! Max doesn't like being around people he doesn't trust!

Natsuki: Well, wise guy, when people don't trust others, they kill them!"

Monika: Not all the time. If that was the case, then half of everyone would be dead already if that were the case.

Shaggy: But Max is different from all of us! The kid even taunted that he could kill someone!

Jaune: I'm pretty sure Max said that to spite Monokuma!

Deliah: Spitingthe bear or not doesn't change the facts! Max is evil! He killed Daphne, and there's nothing to say otherwise!

Harry: That's pretty hypocritical, considering Shigaraki is evil. Does that mean HE killed Daphne? No, I don't think so!

Team Shigaraki: ALL YOU HAVE TO PROVE MAX AS THE CULPRIT IS A SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE AND FAULTY EVIDENCE AT THAT! THAT'S CONJECTURE! THAT IS OUR ARGUMENT!

FULL COUNTER! BREAK!

As the stands went back to their original spots, Shigaraki crossed his arms. "Now, can we please go back to the topic at hand?" Shigaraki asked as Izuku scoffed.

"Whatever, the fact you defended the killer is reason enough to ignore you, but for the sake of the trial, fine," Izuku stated, glaring at Shigaraki as the man smirked.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, brat. Now, Max did prick his finger on a rose, but I have to ask Max something, and please be honest with me here. Were you at the crime scene when the murder happened?" Shigaraki asked as Max froze.

"What! After you—"

"Answer the question, Max. I'm not saying you did it, just answer my question, please?" the teal-haired man asked as Max stared at him for a second, a tense moment of silence rinsing over the trial room as Max finally sagged his shoulders.

"Yes. Yes, I was. Yes, I did prick my finger on the rose. There, are you happy?" Max grumbled as Shigaraki nodded.

"Yes, but now I have another question. Did you attack Daphne with the rake?" Shigaraki asked as Max bit his lip.

"Tomura! What are you—"

"Quiet, Nikki, let him answer. I swear I'm going somewhere with this!" Shigaraki interrupted, glaring at Max. "Well, did you?" Shigaraki asked, his tone of voice serious as Max simply nodded.

"Okay, good, then that explains the rake. It also proves you're not the killer," Shigaraki stated as Velma shouted.

"What! How does it not! In what way does it not prove Max as the killer! He just admitted to being there and attacking her!" Velma shouted as Shigaraki stuck his finger up, getting her to stop talking. Shigaraki paused to think.

"What proves that Max couldn't have done it…."

Truth Bullet Selected: Bloody Mallet!

"Because the mallet was the killing blow. Not the rake. The Monokuma file even states that the killing blow was from a heavy blunt object, not a sharp object," Shigaraki clarified as Dio raised an eyebrow.

"And what's stopping him from lifting the mallet, to begin with, hmm?" Dio asked as Shigaraki smirked.

"I'm glad you asked that. During my investigation, Max was the one who showed me the mallet. When he showed it to me, he had to drag it behind himself because he couldn't lift it. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that a kid his age, with a body type like his, do you really think that he could lift a mallet that heavy? No, I didn't think so," Shigaraki stated as Dio sighed.

"Fine…" Dio said, crossing his arms.

"However, that still doesn't mean that Max couldn't have swung it at her with all of his strength. I refuse to believe that he couldn't have done it. He had all the right tools there with him. What was stopping him from finishing the job?" Shaggy asked as Shigaraki sighed.

"Alright, fair enough. So, let's say, despite everything, and despite his clear physical limits, that Max did, in fact, hit her with the mallet and somehow broke the window, and let's say, for whatever dumb reason he had, he took off his hoodie before stepping through the broken window and got his shirt stuck on it. Let's say he didn't notice, allowing it to tear, him being able to be the killer stops there for one key fact," Shigaraki stated as Shaggy raised an eyebrow.

"How so? What could possibly stop him from being the killer?" Shaggy demanded, staring down Shigaraki as the teal-haired man closed his eyes.

"I know exactly what it is that prevents Max from being the killer…."

"Well, you want your answer, here you go. Shoeprints. The shoeprints outside of the greenhouse, to be exact. Thanks to Deliah's knowledge about shoe sizes from buying shoes for her friends, she can tell just about any shoe size from the shape of it alone. She was able to deduce that the size of the shoeprint was 26-centimetres. Now, unless Max has 26-centimetre sized shoes, then I doubt that he could've made that shoeprint," Shigaraki explained as Shaggy narrowed his eyes.

"Alright then, Max, what is your shoe size?" Shaggy asked the boy as he levelled a blank stare at Shaggy, who stared back.

"You seriously aren't letting this go, are you, pal?" Max asked as Shaggy's stare turned into a glare, causing Max to sigh. "Fine, whatever, the last time I checked, my shoe size was 20 centimetres. Happy now, hippy-dippy dick?" Max spat as Shaggy let out a breath of air.

"Alright, I give up. He's not the Culprit. All I have is one question, why did you attack her in the first place? You didn't have anything for the motive, right? So why—"

"Because I was suspicious of her on day one," Max interrupted, causing Shaggy to raise an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" Shaggy asked as Max clicked his tongue.

"Tch, after the trial, we have a killer to catch, right?" Max asked as he looked at Shigaraki. "Hey, crusty, what's next?" the boy asked as the teal-haired man hummed.

"Actually, I do have something, an accusation. Because I think I know exactly who the Culprit is now, thanks to a little thinking and speculation on my part," Shigaraki stated as Nikki recoiled.

"You do! Well, who! Who is it!" Nikki practically shouted as Shigaraki sighed. Taking in a deep breath, he scanned across the rogue's gallery of people.

[Play: To Survive]

"It's come down to this. There's only one other person I can think of that matches the evidence as to who the killer could possibly be. To be honest, I was skeptical of them for the whole time, but now… now I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it's… YOU!"

Silence, there was only silence. No one said a single word. After a short amount of time, Izuku let out a small chuckle.

Izuku exploded into a laughing fit. Though it wasn't out of malice, it was… genuine. There was no hint of malice or ill intent. He just… started laughing. Everyone in the trial room were all shocked.

"Hey man, this isn't funny. Knock it off!" Harry said, startled as Izuku wiped a tear from his eye. He faced the rest of the trial room, letting out a sigh.

"Okay, that was funny, Shigaraki. But seriously, who did you say the Culprit was?" Izuku asked as Shigaraki narrowed his eyes, facing the green-haired boy.

"I asked you a question, Midoriya. Answer me. Because if you don't, you're on thin ice," Shigaraki stated as Izuku chuckled again, only this time it was with less confidence.

"Uh… what am I supposed to say? No? I because I that'd be the truth. I didn't kill Daphne, Shigaraki," suddenly, Izuku's face became stone cold, with no expression, no emotion, just a blank stare as he looked at the criminal mastermind.

"Really now, because all the evidence is pointing towards you, you know that? The yellow fabric matches your shirt, and the other potential Culprits don't have feet large enough to match the shoeprints. And in case that wasn't enough, there's still one more piece of evidence that links you to the crime, even if it's only minor," Shigaraki stated as Izuku balled up one of his fists, an annoyed expression on his face.

"Okay, tell me then, villain, what exactly do you have on me, a HERO, someone who goes out of their way to save people's lives, that somehow makes me out to be a killer!" Izuku's voice rose, anger strewn on his face as Shigaraki plucked out a piece of Midoriya's hair, said piece of hair was close to his scalp. The sudden action caused him to flinch as Shigaraki looked at it.

"Yup, it matches," Shigaraki stated as Izuku's eyes narrowed.

"What the hell are you talking about? What do you mean 'it matches,' huh!" Izuku snarled as Shigaraki smirked.

"You have green and black hair, right?" Shigaraki asked as Izuku shook his head, confusion taking over his face as Shigaraki narrowed his eyes. "Do you or do you not have green and black hair, Midoriya Izuku?" Shigaraki asked, this time with a more demanding voice as Izuku huffed.

"Yes, I do, though recently all my black hair has been falling out and being replaced by green hair. What does it matter to you?" Midoriya spat as Izuku smirk became a smile.

"Then that settles it," Shigaraki stated as Izuku got mad again.

"What settles it! For god sake, stop being so cryptic and just tell me! Tell us! What the hell are you talking about!" Izuku shouted as Jaune rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yeah, man, what are you going on about? You're being awfully cryptic," the blond asked as Shigaraki's smile widened.

"Oh yeah, I know exactly what piece of evidence will help me out here…."

"That's just conjecture! Complete and total bullshit! There is No. Fucking. Way. That a single piece of hair is going to make me the killer of some girl I don't even know!" Izuku shouted as everyone looked at him with alarm in their eyes.

"And there you have it! That's your proof, Midoriya. The reason why you, and you alone, could only be the killer is that you took Daphne's shoes off when you killed her as a sign of respect," Shigaraki said, causing Dio to raise an eyebrow.

"That's your blow away proof? That he took off her shoes? Please, do enlighten us. Why is that so important?" Dio asked sarcastically.

"Very well, I will," Shigaraki said, confusing Dio.

"Huh? That was rhetoric—"

"For those who don't know, if it is possible, in Japanese culture, when someone takes a dead person's shoes off, it's a way to guide the spirit of the deceased person into the afterlife, so they don't haunt our plane of existence. While it is typically only done for when a suicide happens. It's for the same purpose regardless. No one else here would know that sort of thing because no one else here is Japanese. Midoriya and I, on the other hand, are, so it would make sense for someone to do that if they were and knew about our culture," Shigaraki explained, causing Dio's jaw to drop before closing it and as Midoriya glared at the teal-haired man.

The two stared each other down until Shigaraki spoke again. "You won't back down from your stance, will you. Fine then, I'll have to wrap everything up then, aren't I? Well then, I shall do so if that's what it takes to convince you of your own crime," Shigaraki stated as he snapped his fingers. "Everyone, listen up because I'm only going to explain this once! [Play: Climatic Re-enactment V3]

ACT 1

It all started a few hours before the murder itself took place, just when the motive was announced. Only a few select people were targeted, that being Nikki, Neil, Max, Ruby, Monika, Natsuki, Myself and our Blackened. They were presented with images revealing that their loved ones were captured. Everyone got one or two things attached to them, everyone but Max. But for him, he didn't even need a motive, to begin with. He already had plans for Daphne, plans that he, for some reason, didn't fully act out.

However, our blackened had been motivated by the motive Monokuma had so graciously given to us, seeing as they didn't want to risk losing their mother and sibling, child, what-have-you, to Monokuma. But, instead of coming up with their own plan, as their own heroic nature wouldn't let them, they decided to follow Max, seeing as they had suspected him to be planning something, and luckily, they were right about it.

And while Max would be the perfect cover, they stewed up several ideas in their minds as to who Max would pick to be their shared victim, with Max being completely oblivious to it all.

ACT 2

As soon as Shaggy and I left the greenhouse area, Max got to work, taking the sharp, blue rake from the shed and taking it to the greenhouse. While he did that, our blackened either did one or two things, waited for when Max set up the meeting with Max, took the mallet, and hung on to it, or, they waited for Max to leave, took the mallet, and hid it in the greenhouse, away from Max's reach and or sight.

Regardless of whatever it was, all they had to do now was wait. During this, they either wandered around the area, waiting for Max and Daphne to show up, or they hid behind the shed until Max showed up with Daphne. Either way, their plan was fool-proof up till now. All they had to do was wait.

ACT 3

When Max brought Daphne to the greenhouse, the blackened followed them inside and hid somewhere, again, out of the sight of Daphne and Max. As soon as they did that, and with Max entirely unaware of it all, Max took the rake and stabbed it into the back of Daphne's head, causing our victim to fall over in pain and confusion, or faint from the pain and shock. Either of the options worked.

However, in that split moment of committing the deed, Max must have realized that what he had done had consequences, and or, he regretted his actions, and fled the scene through the door, and just in time to, because had he been a minute or two later, he would've been locked inside the room with the Blackened, and potentially ended up as victim number 2.

However, on his way out, Max pricked his finger on a rose thorn, which is why most of us suspected him of being the Culprit. When our Blackened saw this, they saw an opportunity to put more of the blame on Max than ever before.

As soon as Max left, the blackened got to work finishing the job.

ACT 4

Once they left their hiding spot, they either grabbed the mallet from their person or found it, either or works, and as soon as they could, they slammed it down on Daphne's head, shattering the front part of her skull and killing her, while at the same time, the nighttime announcement went off, causing the doors to the greenhouse to lock.

This was not part of our blackened's plan, so they panicked. However, they still had a plan to stick to, so they finished that first. Carefully plucking the rose Max pricked his finger on, our blackened placed it on Daphne's lap, took off her shoes, as per their culture, and with that, their job had been done.

However, they still needed to leave, and since the door was now locked, our blackened now had to find a way to escape. Luckily, they had an easy way out with the mallet. Smashing one of the windows open, they were able to create a large enough opening which allowed them to exit. With the mallet's use being fulfilled, they placed it out of view of the body and slipped out of their new exit. However, little did they know that the mud outside, and a sharp shard of glass, would be their downfall.

ACT 5

The mud allowed us to figure out how big their shoesize was, and the yellow piece of fabric, linking them to their shirt.

However, that wasn't all. Their own inability to realize that Max wasn't strong enough to lift the mallet to deal the killing blow and break the window to allow for an easy escape was the third mistake in their plan, but the final nail in the coffin was them taking off Daphne's shoes, hinting to me right away that they were the killer, as only they would know that part of our shared culture.

This means that without a doubt in my mind, that you, Izuku Midoriya, The Ultimate Hero, are our Culprit, and subsequently, the murderer of Daphne Blake, the Ultimate Fashionista!

As soon as Shigaraki was done speaking, everyone looked over at Midoriya, who looked shell-shocked. Nobody dared to speak. They only looked at him with a mixture of confusion, anger, disgust, fear, and sadness.

"Izuku… Did you actually…?" Ruby asked as Izuku, still silent, closed his eyes, shook his head, then lowered it, putting his hands on his hips.

"I… I guess there's no point in fighting it anymore, right?"

[Play: All-Star Apologies]

As soon as Izuku admitted to what he had done, Shigaraki felt a tinge of pain in his chest. Where had all the gung-ho gone? All that willingness to defend himself was just… gone. Izuku's voice had been a complete shell of its former self. Devoid of everything.

"Well, would you look at that! I think it's time to vote, isn't it! Now, everyone, listen closely. A button will pop up on the front of your stands. All you have to do is press it, and a panel will open up underneath it. Select the person you want to vote for, then press the button again. Afterwards, the button and screen will retract back into the stand, and the results will show up in the middle! Alright, ready, set, vote!" Monokuma explained as a button appeared on everyone's stands.

It didn't take long for everyone to vote, and once everyone did, a holographic screen appeared in the center, displaying the vote counts.

14 Votes for Izuku Midoriya, 1 Vote for Max. Underneath showed a silhouette of Izuku, a pink X over his face was the words Guilty glowed around his face. Confetti soared up into the air, signifying a job well done.

"Congrats! You guys did it! The first Camp Trial was a complete success, and, you guessed correctly! You're correct. Izuku Midoriya, The Ultimate Hero, is the killer! How ironic, a hero killing an innocent civilian, that sounds more villainous than heroic!" Monokuma announced as everyone left their stands, ignoring Monokuma's words.

"Midoriya… you gotta be kidding me. Why'd you do it, dude!" Jaune asked, confusion on his face as the green-haired boy looked away.

"Answer us! Why the fuck did you do it!" Shaggy shouted, walking over to him, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt before lifting him up off the ground. "Why'd you kill her! What was worth more than Daphne's life to kill her!" Shaggy shouted at him as Izuku shoved Shaggy off of him, causing the tall man to stammer backwards.

"I had to save them. All of them…." Izuku stated, catching everyone off guard.

"What…?" Velma asked, narrowing her eyes at him. "Explain. What do you mean?"

"Our hostages. Mine and Tomura's. I had to save them. My mother, Eri, Dabi, Toga, I just had to. Then I'd save the rest of them. I was willing to sacrifice one life, or more, to save the lives of those captured by Monokuma and anyone else he had under his paws," Izuku explained as Deliah shivered.

"S-So… you were content to have us all executed so that you could save other people!" Deliah said, her face going pale as Izuku chuckled.

"At the time, I had completely forgotten about that. All that was on my mind was "Save Them," and I knew the only way to do that was to stain my hands red. But since I didn't have it in me to thoroughly plan out a murder, I finished Max's instead, since I had a hunch he wasn't going to finish it, and I was right. So, when Max left, I put Daphne out of her misery. That was the only way I could see myself ever killing someone, was putting them out of their own suffering. It was also why I took her shoes off. So Shigaraki had that one right on the nose too. Heh, I guess, in the end, I was defeated by him, regardless of what I tried," Izuku explained, looking at Shigaraki.

"Hey, Tomura, can you do me a favour?" Izuku asked, catching Shigaraki off guard.

"Huh? What? What favour?" Shigaraki asked as Izuku snickered.

"When you get out of here. Please, make sure my Mom and Eri are safe. I don't care if they join the League of Villains or stay civilians. I just want them to be safe. And I know that with you and the others in the league can keep them safe. Call me crazy, but I think it would be better for Eri and my Mom if they were around strong people who were willing to do anything to survive," Izuku stated, causing Shigaraki to go wide-eyed.

There was a moment of silence, and then, the teal-haired man smiled.

"You know, I might hate you, but you know what, alright. Fine, I'll do that for you, Midoriya. But only if you do me a favour, okay?" Shigaraki asked as Izuku raised an eyebrow.

"Huh, how?"

"Well, simple. When you die and end up going to hell for murder, do me a solid, and kick my Dad's ass, will you, cause lord knows that asshole deserves it," Shigaraki stated as Izuku laughed bitterly.

"Alright, I'll do it," Izuku stated as Monokuma let out an audible yawn.

"BORING! Are you done with the tear-jerking bromance? Are you? Great! Because it's time for your punishment, Izuku Midoriya!" Monokuma stated as Izuku closed his eyes, a sense of dread coming off of him as he let out a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, All Might. I couldn't pass on One For All to the right person, and I might be dying with a few regrets, but I think I lived a good enough life. I lived a hero and died a villain," Izuku stated, reaching into his pocket before scooping whatever it was out of his pocket and onto the floor near Shigaraki. Shigaraki noticed this and picked up the piece of paper, stuffing it into his pocket as Izuku gave him a side glance before nodding. "Okay, you bastard, I'm ready," Izuku spat, though the sense of dread never left the boy.

"Puhuhuhu~! I love your sense of justice, which is kind of ironic. But, whatever! It's time to give it everything we got! IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME!"

Izuku Midoriya: Executed – Doctors Appointment!

As soon as the button was pressed, everyone watched as Izuku stood perfectly still. The green-haired boy closed his eyes, swallowing back any fear as, without warning, the floor beneath him gave way, revealing it to be a trap door, and as soon as that happened, and when Izuku's eyes opened, he was whisked away down a slide.

Back in the trial room, a TV came down into the center of the room, showing a confused Izuku sitting in the chair, shaking his head as he sat in a laboratory. In the lab, there were test tubes in the area in front of him, creating a hallway of test tubes. At the end of the hallway, there was an exit sign.

"Puhuhuhu~! Welcome, Midoriya Izuku, to your doctor's appointment!" As soon as Izuku heard that voice, he turned to his right and saw Monokuma, dressed up as his doctor from when he was diagnosed as Quirkless. He wore a white lab coat and gear-themed glasses. He even wore a fake grey mustache. "The nurse should be here shortly, so stay for a while."

"As soon as he said this, metal straps snatched his arms and legs, keeping him in place as thundering footsteps came up behind him. His chair was turned around, and when he was, he saw it standing in front of him. It was a robotic version of the USJ Nomu, dressed up as a nurse.

It reeled its right fist back and punched him in the face, then it did so again with its left and continued this pattern six more times, leaving Izuku's face a bloodied, battered mess. Izuku spat up blood as it dripped from his nose and from the robot's fists.

The restraints that had been keeping Izuku still retracted, giving the boy a chance to run. So, that is precisely what he did. He ran for the exit, ignoring Monokuma's shouts of "get back here" and "nurse, get him!"

Blood still dripping from his face, he ran as fast as possible through blurry vision and everything. Just as he got close to the exit, spears shot through his ankles, causing him to fall as he screamed in pain, blood flying from his mouth as he did so, falling to the floor.

When Izuku fell, he fell face first. As he looked up, he reached up to the door as it opened, revealing a laughing Monokuma, causing Izuku to become distraught. As he stared, however, he didn't hear the "nurse" sneak up on him, and as soon as it got behind him, it lifted its right foot up, and with a mighty roar, it stomped down on Izuku's head, crushing it, killing him instantly. His hand fell to the floor as blood trailed over to the door, stopping at Monokuma's feet as the bear laughed maniacally

Nobody said a singular word. The fourteen remaining campers just stared at the screen as it retracted. They watched it all, saw every ounce of pain that their former camper had to go through, and when it was finished, they were left appalled, disgusted, shocked, and terrified.

"W-Wha… what did I—did we just watch?" Deliah asked, her voice shaky and her face pale.

"I… I think we just watched someone get tortured for five minutes straight… then got put out of their misery in the most brutal way possible…." Shaggy said, face filled with dread.

Nikki, Max, and Neil shared the same silent, terrified, and traumatized expression. They had been shocked into complete silence as a wave of Despair flew through the air of the courtroom.

Everyone else had similar reactions. Nobody knew what to make of it. It was ruthless, brutal, disgusting, and to make matters even worse, it was all real.

And then, the terrified silence was broken when Monokuma showed up.

"WOOHOO! EXTREME! Now that's what I call an execution! Couldn't have done better than myself if I tried!" Monokuma stated, a proud look on his face as Shigaraki balled up his fist. He wanted to say something, anything, but he couldn't. Not without looking like a hypocrite.

However, someone else did have the courage to speak up. And they were furious.

"You… you bastard! You did this! You pushed him to that point! You killed him, and you killed Daphne!" Ruby shouted, glaring angrily at Monokuma.

"Oh, Boo-hoo, cry me a river of anger and sadness. Like I could care less! However, did you ever stop to consider that, in reality, he didn't have to do anything at all?" Monokuma countered as Ruby recoiled in disgust.

"What?! What do you mean he didn't have to do anything! Sure, what he did was awful and unforgivable, but to him, he had no choice! You were going to kill his family!" Ruby spat back as Monokuma rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, and? He knew very well that if he killed someone, and he got away with it, everyone here would've died, and rescuing those hostages would've been pointless. Because once he did, and they asked where their loved ones were, what would he say? That he sacrificed them to save the hostages? What do you think would've happened! Besides, if he had ignored the motive, Max would've been blackened since Daphne would've bled out overnight! So his actions were completely unnecessary! If he didn't kill them, then Max would've been the one executed, and he wouldn't have had to lift a finger!" Monokuma stated, laughing as Ruby went wide-eyed.

Nobody could rebuttal that. He was right. Izuku didn't have to kill Daphne. She was doomed to die regardless, which left Max to be the only one who had an explanation to fulfill.

"Where is that little—" Shaggy started, only for him to notice that he was nowhere to be seen.

"Oh? Max? He's gone. He left as soon as I started talking! Honestly, it was kind of rude, and he was a bit shaken up to! But hey, don't go killing anyone just yet! Wait until at least tomorrow if you're on the warpath for revenge!" Monokuma said as Shaggy stared at the elevator as it came back down.

Meanwhile, Shigaraki was thinking to himself. His mind had been wrapped around how Monokuma knew who The Doctor was or what a Nomu had been for him to recreate the two of them. He had never seen The Doctor before, but he had heard his voice, and the voice Monokuma was imitating for the execution sounded nearly identical to the voice of The Doctor.

Then there was the case of the Robotic Nomu. How the hell did Monokuma know anything about the Nomu's? Not even the public knew about the Nomu enough even to understand what they were. Hell, not even the public safety commission was under the impression of what a Nomu was. So for Monokuma to know about them…

"Was Midoriya right about Sensei perhaps being involved with this…? No. I refuse to believe that Sensei had anything to do with Monokuma or the Killing Game. If anything, Sensei would be against this sort of thing… unless…" Shigaraki thought, shaking his head, a sense of Despair washing over the young man. "No. I need to think about something else. I need… I need to get out of here, and soon. But… how?" However, before Shigaraki could continue his train of thought, Monokuma spoke.

"Alright, you guys have done enough self-reflection. Get the fuck out of my trial room!" And with that command, everybody boarded the elevator. The ride back up to the surface was silent. Nobody said a word to one another, only exchanging nervous glances. Shigaraki had observed that the younger people, like Harry, Deliah, Nikki and Neil, kept to themselves, glancing around the elevator, trying to judge people's character.

As soon as the elevator finished ascending to the surface, everyone had filtered out. They all exited the judgement hall, walking into the warm summer air of the camp. The investigation was an hour-long, and the trial was about two hours long. Considering that, they spent half the day concluding that Izuku had been the killer.

But nobody had expected the outcome that they got.

In the end, everyone decided that stay out of each other's hair. No one interacted with anyone. People mostly stuck to themselves in the cabin area or inside the cabins. Nobody saw Max for the remainder of the day. And as quickly as the day had came, it ended. The nighttime announcement rang out around the island, and everyone went to bed, locking their doors and closing their windows.

As Shigaraki lay in his bed, the only thing he could think of was the nightmarish execution that Izuku had gone through. Two people were dead in the span of three days. The Killing Game had finally begun, and Shigaraki was none too pleased about it.

For the first time in a long time, Tomura Shigaraki didn't feel like he was the free, slightly annoyed, and disturbed man he had become. No. He had begun to feel helpless, scared, and fearful, just like he was when he had gone by the name of Tenko Shimura.

And Just like Tenko Shimura, Tomura Shigaraki was scared for what was to come.

"Ugh... I can't get this thing to work! I've tried contacting them for days now! But no one is answering!" A feminine voice spoke out, tapping on a radio.

"Have you tried rewiring the radio? Perhaps that could help?" A sharp voice spoke, though it sounded calm and collected.

"Shut it! I don't need your input right now!" The girl spat as the man sighed, crossing his arms.

"I get that our truce is only for now, but you still have to be more cooperative. With my genius and your numbers, we can find them sooner or later. It's not like we don't have all the time in the world," the man stated as someone cleared their throat.

"I know this might sound like a stupid request, but… can someone turn on a light? It's hard to see in here!" Another voice spoke up. This time it was another masculine voice, though it was more reserved than the other one.

"Already on it!" Another feminine voice spoke up. The sound of fingers snapping caused a fire to erupt in the palm of that person's hand, revealing the people within the room.

The girl by the radio had short brown hair in the form of a bob-cut, chocolate brown eyes focused on the radio as they tried to get it to work. They wore a black and pink tracksuit with arm guards with the image of a rocket skip on them. The same went for leg guards.

This person was Ochako Uraraka, The Ultimate Astronaut.

The following person was a man wearing a black suit with a black tie and a white undershirt. Their face had basically become non-existent, becoming blind and relying on sound and other things to move around.

This person was All For One, aka Zenchi Shigaraki, The Ultimate Villain.

The third person was a muscular white-haired boy wearing a blue shirt and blue pants. He didn't have much going for him, aside from being a regular citizen.

This was Natsuo Todoroki, The Ultimate Luckster.

The final person was a girl with white and red hair, wearing a white shirt and a grey sweater vest over the top. She wore a black skirt and long black leggings, a pair of glasses being used to allow her to see.

This was Fuyumi Todoroki, The Ultimate Teacher.

"That's better. Now I can actually see. Say, Shigaraki, er, All For One, whatever you wanna be called, have you gotten any word from your cohorts yet about everyone's whereabouts?" Natsuo asked as All For One shook his head.

"No, unfortunately. Jonathon, however, did tell me the name of the group of people who captured our friends," All For One said as Ochako looked back at him.

"What! Who is it then!" Ochako asked as All For One sighed.

"Apparently, there were two teams. One of them was Team Danganronpa, and another… well, Jonathon didn't get a good look at their van. But apparently, their group started with the letter S. However, ever since those super-powered Quirk users and what have you came from out of nowhere and released a Quirk disabling fog, going outside has basically become a death sentence. Thankfully we found a shelter that allows us to use our Quirks, but those things outdoors aren't exactly doing any of us a favour," All For One stated, a frown on his face as Natsuo raised an eyebrow.

"What, you mean those Grimm? Didn't that Weiss chick tell us that?"

"Yes, those, thank you. Anti-Grav- I mean Uravity, have you been able to get a signal?" All For One asked as she shook her head.

"No, I—" Before she could finish, a buzzing sound echoed from the radio.

"Hello? We just picked up your signal! This is Pyrrha Nikkos speaking. If you can hear me, head to the abandoned Shie Hissaikai headquarters as fast as you can, we have someone who is badly injured. They say they can help us moving forward, over and out!"

Uraraka smirked. "Well, let's get going, AFO. Can you make a forcefield to protect us from the fog?"

"Already on it," the man stated as everyone became encapsulated by a thick shield. "Let's head out. We don't have much time left," All For One stated as they began to move out of the shelter. Ochako could think about saving the hostages and finding whoever Team Danganronpa was and the other mysterious company.

"Don't worry, Izuku, I'm coming. Just hold off for a little while longer."

To Be Continued…

And thus ends the first Camp Trial. How did you guys like it? Was the Culprit to your liking? Well, regardless, I'm glad I was able to keep everyone on their toes. This was a blast for me to write, and after so long to, it all came together nicely! Now, if you excuse me, I'm gonna start writing the next Daily Life for the second chapter.

Also, what did you all think of that little interlude? An odd partnership for sure. I can't wait for the next chapter to be up. I don't know if I'll keep up the interludes, or make them as frequent, but they are essential to the story.

Till Next time, have a Despairingly good morning/afternoon/evening.
