Sunday July 11th, it had almost been a whole week since Trixie's arrival and humiliation of many of the Mane Six. Spike hasn't hung out with the trio since then and the three haven't seen or talked with Applejack either. It was very clear to them at this point that they were still unhappy with their inactions on that day.

During those six days however, two major things had transpired. The Mane Six had to deal with a sleeping dragon in a nearby cave, and the Mane Six finally met Zecora. As usual the trio stood on the sidelines to make sure they didn't interfere, but it had been increasingly more difficult for Alex and Dark to convince themselves not to change the turn of events.

Not long after Alex woke up to get breakfast for his still slumbering friends, he was greeted by an unexpected sight of Mayor Mare at their front door on his way back to their house. Alejandro quickly trotted over and greeted his superior.

"Hello Ms. Mare, is there a problem?" Alejandro asked the older mare calmly.

"Ah, good morning Mr. Alejandro! I hope I haven't interrupted your day off." The gray maned mare said politely.

"No, not at all, what do you need?"

"Well, I hate to bother you on your day off, but Princess Celestia's student Twilight Sparkle has informed me that the Princess will be visiting us tomorrow. Normally I would help plan but Twilight has insistanted she would help, but I wanted to ask if you would like to help as well."

"Hm…" Alex thought for a moment, this sounded familiar… Oh! This was the Parasprite episode! Alex's facial expression soured briefly but made sure to hide it from the Mayor. "Yeah, I would love to help set that up. Let me just drop off this food for my friends."

"Ok, thank you very much Alex and have a great rest of your day."

The donkey simply nodded his head and quickly went inside his house. In a timely manner, Alex quickly wrote up a note to his friends of where he's going to be and to eat without him. What came in the next few hours was Alejandro's thinly veiled effort to change the episode's event for the best.

Alex easily helped set up the most obvious things such as: making sure all the plants are watered, banners are correct, and prepared catering. By the time Twilight left her house to check on the progress, she was met with Alex leading her around.

"Welcome Princess Celestia!" Twilight said with a smile as she stared at the banner. "That looks good, and it even seems like all the flowers and plants are doing well." The unicorn was clearly happy with the preparation so far.

"Yeah, hey Twilight, I've been thinking…" Alex said, trying to seem casual. "I think a band parade could really bring this whole welcoming event for Celestia into a really memorable experience for her, don't you think?"

"Hm… you might have a point."

"Yeah, and I think I know the perfect pony to do it. She should be waiting for us at the bakery."

As Alex and Twilight made their way to the Sugarcube Corner, the donkey slowly realized that Twilight seemed to stumble a little bit as they continued walking together.

"Are you ok Twilight?"

"Y-yeah I'm fine, I guess I didn't get enough sleep last night."

Alex wasn't convinced, but pushed the worry from his mind as what was going to happen next is when the ball will start rolling, and he had to stop it as early as possible. As Alex and Twilight made their way inside the Sugarcube Corner they were met with the two owners working to ready an assortment of pastries for Princess Celestia's visit.

As Twilight went to speak with the two Cakes, the jack made his way to the frenzy feeding Pinkie Pie to speak with her.

"Hello Pinkie Pie." Alex said calmly, as he braced himself to make sure she didn't reinjure his still fractured rib.

"Alex!" Pinkie exclaimed as frosting still covered her face. "Are you here to answer my questions!"

"Uh sorry, not today. I'm here because…" Alex grew quiet as he stared at the bakery's front door.

"Because?" Pinkie Pie asked as she cleaned her face of the frosting.

"Twilight! Pinkie! You won't believe-" Alex doesn't respond to Pinkie Pie as Fluttershy runs through the door but then slides into an insecure pose. "Oh, I'm sorry, I… am I interrupting?" Fluttershy almost whispered.

"No not at all, why don't you come on in." Alex said as he moved away from Pinkie Pie and toward Twilight and Fluttershy.

As he did so, Pinkie Pie stared at the jack while no-pony was looking. She felt like something was weird… but tried to act normal until she sees if what she is feeling is correct. Fluttershy suddenly was slightly uncomfortable due to Alejandro's presence, she didn't know him very well and only knew as much as most of the other Mane Six about him.

"What's going on Fluttershy?" Pinkie Pie asked after Fluttershy seemed to freeze up as she stared at the donkey acquaintance.

"Y-you won't believe what I found at the edge of the Everfree forest!" As she said this she turned toward her mane "Come on out little guy, it's ok."

As Fluttershy said that, a blue Parasprite popped out of her mane, along with a yellow and brown one, which seemed to surprise the pegasus. "Three?"

"Amazing." Twilight said as she trotted closer to the yellow pegasus. "What are they?"

"I'm not sure, I'm also not sure where these other two came from."

"I'll take one off your hooves, I've never seen anything so… Adorable!" Twilight said as she cuddled the yellow one. "Besides it would be nice to have a companion for Spike so he won't bother me so much while I'm studying."

"Pinkie? Do you want the other one?"

As Fluttershy asked, she saw Pinkie Pie looking intensely at the donkey, who in turn was staring daggers at the insect creatures.

"Um… Pinkie?"

"Ugh, a Parasprite, are you kidding?" Pinkie Pie said as she walked to the exit to the bakery.

"Ugh? How could you not like it-?" Fluttershy asked, shocked that she didn't think the creatures were cute.

"A Para-what?" Twilight asked, confused on what Pinkie Pie was saying.

"Now I have to go find a trombone!" Pinkie Pie said with an annoyed stance.

"A what?" Twilight asked once again.

"A trombone! You know!" Pinkie Pie did a motion of her playing the instrument and making a mock sound of a trombone, and with that she hopped out of the building.

"...Typical Pinkie…" Twilight said, shaking her head.

To Twilight's surprise she saw Alejandro start to walk outside the building.

"Alex, where are you going?"

"I- uh… I didn't get to ask Pinkie if she wanted to play a little parade for the Princess, and since she's going to find a trombone anyways-" Alex said innocently.

"Oh… right, that makes sense. Good luck getting Pinkie on board." Twilight said before cuddling her Parasprite.

With a quick nod of his head, Alex ran off to follow Pinkie Pie's direction. It wasn't too long when he found Pinkie Pie, but keeping up with her was a completely different story. Lucky for him however, he had already planned ahead. He knew what instruments the pink pony needed, and had found some and planted them into obvious spots for her to find.

The trombone that Pinkie Pie wanted was found around the well in town, the next instrument was a harmonica that was found on the path toward the town hall, however around the third instrument is when Alejandro lost track of the earth pony, and tried as he might couldn't find her.

"What the hell? Where did she go?" the donkey whispered to himself.

After a few minutes of running around trying to hunt down the mare, he sighed to himself before starting to head home to prepare himself for tomorrow. As he made his way through some back alleys to avoid any unwanted contact, he felt hooves grab him and push him against a wall.

"Alright talk!" The voice came from Pinkie Pie. "Something fishy is going on here, and I want to know why."

"Wha-what do you mean? Alex said with a very shaky voice, normally Alejandro is very calm but it was clear he was completely caught off guard.

"You know something! At first I thought I was just imagining it, but after seeing these instruments laid out for me… I knew it had to be you. What do you know!"

"O-ok! I knew that thing was a Parasprite and the only way to get rid of them was with music!"

"But how did you know they were here before Fluttershy came in?"

"I uh… me and my friends live right at the outskirts of town remember! I saw a few of them the other day, and I was just preparing some instruments just in case something like this would happen!"

Pinkie Pie was staring hard into his eyes. "I'll be keeping my eye on you." Pinkie Pie said as she backed away from the donkey and ran off to continue her instrument collecting.

"Alright Alex, that's enough messing around with the timeline…" The donkey whispered to himself. Alejandro felt a mix of emotions, he knows he's pushing Dark's trust here, but they had both abstained multiple times now and knows he felt similar to himself. But guilt ate away at the jack, knowing he could minimize the damage of something like the Parasprites hit him close to home. Not very long after Pinkie Pie left, the donkey made his way back home to prepare himself and his friends for the 'incident' to come.

Alejandro entered their home cautiously so as to not immediately alert the others, but to no avail as they were waiting for him in the living room.

"...Oh hey guys!" Alejandro said half-heartedly as he looked at the two.

Dark gave a coy smile "So! I heard Celestia is coming to town."

"O-oh really!? I wonder why that is… Doesn't seem like anything we need to interfere with. Certainly not something one of us would need to do anything to prepare for." Alex lied in the most horribly obvious way imaginable.

"Oh most definitely not, I mean along with Celestia's arrival, also comes the invasion of the parasprites and no one here would ever get involved without discussing it with their closest friends… Right?"

"Oh, the Parasprites are coming?! I must have missed that episode, it was episode eight or something right?"

"You got involved didn't you…"

"Yes, yes I did."

"Please tell me it wasn't something rash."

"No, I actually planned it out, thank you very much!"

"Well? What was it you did?"

"I helped plan out most of the preparation, that wasn't super important to my plan, but it gave me the guise of wanting to really make the welcoming as memorable as possible… So with that in mind I gathered up a lot of instruments for Pinkie Pie to find and told Twilight it was so she could play a nice musical performance for Celestia."

"You got involved with Pinkie! That's literally the most dangerous person to do anything around."

"I mean… you're probably right but she's the only person, sorry, pony we know that can play an entire band's worth of instruments by themselves. Also I'm not sure if you've noticed… but I can't play piano with hooves. So working with Pinkie was inevitable."

Dark looked at Mort who was sleeping on the couch after he had returned from work. "Well maybe not the only one, but I get your point, still you know that interacting like this can cause problems."

"I know that, but the Parasprites actually can cause a lot of damage, and it's not like I changed too much. I just made it quicker and easier for her to get a hold of her instruments… Also she may think we know a lot about Parasprites."

"Okay, I'll give you this one since it wasn't too major. However, I think it would be a good idea to watch over things tomorrow and see if even small changes like these will have an impact."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea… and Dark."

"What's up?"

"We both know we can't stay out of the plot forever… you know that right?"

"...I know Alex." Dark said grimly as he looked at his spellbook.

"...Alright, in that case." Alex started to make his way to his room "If you need me, I'll be turning in early… planning a town event can really be exhausting."

The grey unicorn opened his book in front of him as Alejandro was leaving "Goodnight Alex."

-The Next Day-

"So what exactly are Parasprites?" Mort asked Dark and Alex on their way to town.

"They are an insect-like creature that can quickly reproduce asexually by coughing up another Parasprite. Usually they only eat food, However a certain magic abuser is to change that today and that will make the town into an all you can eat buffet." Dark explained

"Do they tend to overpopulate and end up eating the food of everything and everyone around them, and the people think they are too cute to squash?" Mort asked Dark.

"Well- actually yeah that sums them up pretty well Mort." Dark said, taken aback.

"Oh dude! They remind me of Tribbles!"

"Tribbles? What are those?" Alex said clearly confused.

"Tribbles, they are little fur balls from Star Trek. They ate a bunch of the crew's food and just kept reproducing to the point of starving themselves."

"You watch Star Trek?" Alex asked genuinely surprised.

"Well yeah, that's a lot more normal than watching fucking My Little Pony like you degenerates."

"Mort please, my pride, you've decimated it." Dark responded defeated.

"Yeah that one hurt, not gonna lie…" Alex said softly.

As the trio entered town, it had looked as if Parasprites were raining down from the sky. But it's not much sooner that they began to swarm and consume nearby food. As the three friends saw this they began to sprint into the town with haste.

Not long after, the trio saw large purple waves of magic go throughout the town, Dark makes a disapproving grunt while Alex stops a moment to comment.

"Oh jeez, I can actually feel that. Twilight must be using a lot of magic to do that… Also it smells a lot like chocolate… What the hell is up with my sense of smell!" said the donkey to the others.

"I'll look into it later, we got to deal with this first." Dark said clearly holding back his interest.

As the friends make it to where four of the Mane Six were, they saw the Parasprites start to eat the town's infrastructure and houses. As the jack and stallions finally got close enough to talk to the remaining four of the Mane Six, they had their ears assaulted by Rarity shouting.

"Everypony for herself!" and just like that Rarity sprinted to the direction of her boutique.

Just before Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Twilight could head back to their respective homes, Pinkie Pie rushed up to them all and hurriedly spoke up.

"I just need one more instrument! But I can't find it anywhere! All I need are my cymbals but I can't find them no matter where I look!" Pinkie Pie said as she was nearly covered head to hoof with instruments.

"Pinkie Pie, where've you been all this time? Don't you see we don't have time for your musical nonsense!" Twilight said, as she got a bit annoyed at the pink earth pony.

"Nonsense? Ugh, I don't have time to talk. I need to find those cymbals." Pinkie Pie replied, also equally annoyed.

"Hang on a second Pinkie Pie, we'll help you find that cymbal, but first you need to talk with Twilight and the others about this." Alex said pleadingly to the earth pony.

"We'll help? What do you mean we?" Mort said in response to Alex's comment.

Alex just cringed a bit from the remark but tried to focus more on what he said to Pinkie.

"Talk to us about what?" Twilight asked cautiously.

"Yeah Alex, why don't you tell them." Mort cut in again.

"Down Mort down" Dark said calming Mort.

Alex felt emotionally attacked, but kept a straight face as he turned toward Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Twilight with Pinkie Pie impatiently waiting for him to speak up.

"Alright… So the reason why Pinkie Pie needs a cymbal is because with it, she'll have all the instruments she needs to play a song to lead all the Parasprites back into the Everfree Forest. So it is very important that we find this last missing instrument." The jack finally said to the three.

"So you're saying that with this song Pinkie Pie is going to play, she'll be able to get rid of the Parasprites for good?" Twilight asked with renewed hope on her face.

"Yes, but first we need to find the cymbals to complete the set of instruments." Dark replied.

"Pinkie Pie, did you check by the bridge? I'm almost certain I saw some there the other day…" Alex said, slightly confused.

"I couldn't find it! I found every other instrument you put out for me but I can't find that one!" Pinkie Pie responded frustratedly.

"That's weird… ok, is there some other way we could find it?" Alex said as he turned toward Twilight.

"Um… I don't have a spell that can find objects, I don't even know how I would try to do that." Twilight said, slightly embarrassed.

"Looks like we'll have to use our eyes for once." Dark said under his breath.

"Yeah, it looks like we have to do it the old fashion way, let's split up and look for it." The jack said, slightly annoyed.

As the group split up into three teams, each of them came up with a plan to search the town as best as possible. Team A had Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy searching high into the sky to get a better view of the town, Team B had Twilight and Pinkie Pie searching the inner workings of the town, and finally Team C consisted of Alejandro, Dark, and Mort searching at the outskirts of town.

"Alright, any idea where to look?" Mort asked Alex as they sprinted toward the edge of town.

"I left it on the bridge for her yesterday, so I'm confused on how it's not there. I've never heard or seen an episode where there were ponies who steal or pick up stuff like that." The jack replied as he was deep in thought.

The trio traveled across the edge of town for about a few minutes, when Alex halted his friends. The donkey began to sniff the air in the direction of the Everfree Forest.

"Smelling something weird again Alex?" Dark questioned the donkey.

"It was very sudden and sharp… it smells like… Rubbing Alcohol…" Alex turned at a sharp angle and started walking to the direction of the forest. "It's over here."

"Oh boy, here we go." Mort said, completely monotone.

The three friends didn't need to travel too deep into the forest to find a pair of cymbals on the grass floor.

"Oh wow, you actually led us to the damn thing." Mort commented with a surprised face.

But Alejandro didn't stop at the instrument, instead he was sniffing on the tree nearby the cymbals.

"Alex what are you doing? The cymbals are right here?" Dark commented as pointed his hoof at the brass instrument.

"It's faint now, but the source of that smell was here…" Alejandro then traced out the shape of a door on the tree with his hoof. "That's what the smell is outlining… what the hell?"

Dark took a look at the tree and didn't smell or see anything weird about it.

"Well look into this more after we finish up the Parasprite business…" Dark said as he levitated the cymbals of the ground. "Wait… what is this?" Dark saw a paper note on the grass that the cymbal was laid over.

"A note? What does it say?" Alex said as he moved away from the tree.

Dark levitated the note to eye level. "Uh… I can't read this… it's written in a different language."

"What? Let me see?" Alex asked as he stood next to Dark. "Oh wow… I have no idea what language that is."

On the note were odd scripts that had a lot of edges and ancient looking fonts. Mort walked next to Dark to better see the paper, he gave a squint before speaking.

"What do you mean? It clearly says 'I couldn't resist causing a little mayhem'." Mort said nonchalantly.

"...what." Both Dark and Alex said bug-eyed.

"Yeah, it says so in plain english."

"No Mort, it is not written in plain english, it's written in some kind of old testament type font." Alex said matter-of-factly.

"...But it does."

"Alright, guys, we need to focus. Let's get this back to Pinkie Pie fast." Dark said calmly.

"Yeah, let's go." Alex agreed.

With that, the two stallions and the jack ran out of the Everfree Forest and made their way to the center of town. At that point in time, it was clear the swarm had eaten through a few town blocks of houses, and the Mane Six were forced to actively mitigate the damage.

"Holy shit! Something is very wrong here, I don't remember them going this crazy in the show!" Alex exclaimed to his friends.

"Yeah, at this rate they could level the whole town." Dark replied.

As the trio became visible to the others, Pinkie Pie quickly sped away from her friends and toward Dark.

"Dark, throw it!" Mort called out.

Reacting quickly, Dark telekinetically tossed the cymbal to Pinkie Pie, and she was able to angle herself to have the instrument fall perfectly in place for her to play it. Almost instantly, Pinkie Pie started to play her song which seemed to seize the attention of the Parasprites away from eating, and got them to follow her performance. The swarm nearly blacked out the sky before they slowly formed into a prancing line of the pests behind her. During this time Applejack had finally rejoined the others after her attempt to protect her family barn… to little success.

As the swarm started to disappear from sight, the remainder of the Mane Six started to let out a sigh of relief, at least all except Twilight Sparkle who kept looking to the sky for any signs of Princess Celestia's arrival. To which she saw Celestia's carriage being pulled by four pegasus soldiers through the sky and toward Ponyville.

"Oh no! Princess Celestia is coming!" Twilight exclaimed with a frazzled mane.

Rainbow Dash flew upward a little bit before responding "It looks like she's going to land near the Everfree Forest."

"The Everfree Forest! But that's where Pinkie and the Parasprites are heading!" Twilight screeched in panic.

With that statement the Mane Six sprinted over to meet Celestia as she landed, while the trio casually followed behind with a calm demeanor. The remainder of the Mane Six passed Pinkie Pie in order to greet Celestia as she departed from her chariot. As the Mane Six saw the alicorn approach; Applejack, Twilight, and Rarity instantly bowed before the mare, and not a second later did Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash do the same.

"Twilight Sparkle, my prized pupil." Celestia said as she called out to the purple unicorn.

"Hello Princess." Twilight responded as she rose from her bow.

"So lovely to see you again, as well as your friends."

"So, How was the trip? Hit much traffic?"

"What is this? These creatures are adorable." Celestia commented as Pinkie Pie and the Parasprites passed the alicorn.

"Tell that to half the ponies in town that are now homeless." Alejandro replied with bitterness in his voice.

The trio had just caught up to the rest of the Mane Six, and had casually walked up to the royal pony without bowing… to which the three were met with bewildered stares from Applejack, Twilight, and Rarity.

"Oh, you're the three from before. Wait, homeless ponies? Twilight, what are they referring to?"

Before the purple unicorn could respond Dark came forth with an answer "Well I'm sure if you turn your attention to Ponyville you may be able to see that half of the town is in shambles from the Parasprite attack, which means we need to start working on a relief plan immediately."

Celestia looked over the crowd of ponies and saw smoke rise from the town behind them. After a long pause the alicorn finally spoke up "I'll make sure to contact the mayor about this, but I must attend to a matter of an infestation in Manehattan."

Upon saying this, Celestia once again entered her chariot and prepared to leave. But before the pegasus could lift off, Celestia spoke to the trio once again. "Before I depart, I must ask you three something… What are your names?"

"Oh jeez.. Well my name is Alejandro." The donkey answered reluctantly.

"People refer to me as Dark." answered the unicorn afterwards.

"Uh… Mort." the earth pony said, last to respond.

"Well I wish all three of you a great day." With the alicorn speaking the last words in the conversation, she was flown away by her personal pegasus escorts. The moment Celestia's chariot disappeared into the horizon, Twilight walked up to the jack and two stallions with frustrated steps.

"Why did you do that!?" Twilight asked the group with an annoyed tone of voice.

"I had to tell Celestia immediately, ponies' homes are in shambles and they need help as soon as they can get it." Dark responded with a calm demeanor.

"Yeah… well…hm…" Twilight stammered as she did see the unicorn's point.

"And to add to that, we should come up with a plan to have shelter for those whose homes were destroyed by the Parasprites… perhaps they could stay in the town hall for some time…" Alejandro stated during the confusion.

Dark nodded "Good thinking, we need to set up search parties for the affected ponies. I recommend four teams: Team 1 is Alex and Pinkie Pie, Team 2 is Applejack and Fluttershy, Team 3 is Rainbow and I, and Team 4 is Twilight, Rarity, and Mort… sound good?"

"Sounds good to me." Applejack nodded.

"As long as you think you can keep up with me, big-timer." The pegasus responded sarcastically as she walked next to the unicorn.

"Um… I sure hope we can help them all…" Fluttershy murmured as she flew next to Applejack.

Twilight and Rarity only hesitantly nodded as they were joined by Mort… who looked to take the situation very seriously.

"Alright let's move out!" Dark yelled as the four groups set into motion toward the wreckage of ponyville.

-The Afternoon of that day-

"Jesus, that was one hell of a day…" Alejandro said with a tired look on his face "I never knew Pinkie Pie was so fast…"

"You're telling me, Rainbow left me in the dust pretty quick so I had to manage mostly by myself." Dark replied letting out a sigh "What was our total in the end?"

"Based on how many I saw in the shelter… about low to mid twenties." Alex said solemnly.

"I just hope we found them all…"

"Yeah… how'd you manage Mort?"

"Me and Twilight were doing alright, but Rarity would throw off our focus with her talking a lot of the time." Mort answered straightforwardly. "I just can't wait to go to bed and finally relax…"

"Yeah, I feel you. Seeing all those destroyed homes… it definitely leaves a pit in your stomach…" Alex added.

"Our house." Dark cut in abruptly

"Yeah, our hou- What the fuck just happened to our house!" Alex screamed out as he stopped dead in his tracks. What he saw was the steaming pile of rubble that once was their home… The only thing still standing was the wooden door, which stood completely intact.

Without warning, Mort ran inside the rubble of the house and started to stomp on the ground. In less than a second, the other two friends saw that Mort had attempted to stomp on a swarm of Parasprites in front of him.

Unfortunately he had completely missed any of the Parasprites, and in that instance he was swarmed by the hoard. The swarm was different from the others that day, for they ripped into Mort's body, leaving blood to be drawn from their attacks.

"Mort!" Dark yelled as he charged his horn before shouting "Tether!" letting loose an electrifying blast which connected him to the creatures.

Mort, upon realizing how dangerous these Parasprites were, did a parkour roll out of their grasp. Upon doing this, Mort spotted another swarm of Parasprites farther away than the others, and tossed a rock at them to distract it, but upon missing the swarm attempted to attack the earth pony… but he was able to avoid their assault this time.

The agitated swarm quickly disregarded their prey as they went to fight off the source of magic, they quickly swarmed onto Dark, but before they came into contact he shifted his magic again "Shield!" Once again the unicorn's voice rang out as he summoned a magical barrier around him which combined with the electric attack acted as a fly trap that fried the parasprites in mid-air.

As Mort saw the swarm that attacked him fall, he looked to his right to see a lone Parasprite stare at him with wide eyes, causing him to freeze up from the cuteness of the creature.

Alex during this time had been caught in another lone Parasprite's gaze… causing him to be enraptured by the creature for a moment, but after seeing the injuries that befell Mort, Alex felt something different. To Mort and Dark surprise, Alex had let out a hee-haw as he seemed to lose his temper… and in that moment he unleashed a purple flash of magic that blinded and damaged the other swarm of parasprites that had attempted to attack Mort.

Mort was able to shake himself from the charm of the lone parasprite. The swarm that was nearby Mort had been blinded by the surge of magic from the donkey.

Two parasprite that had not been a part of the swarm attempted to attack Dark, the unicorn was able to avoid one of them, but failed to dodge the other, and felt the creature bite into his coat. Seeing the creature slip through his shield, Dark attempted another change in his magic to no avail as acid sprung forth from his horn onto the ground, missing the creature.

With haste and anger, Alex ran directly into the swarm of parasprites and had immediately stomped viciously on them. In less than a few seconds the swarm was reduced to multi-colored paste onto the debris below them. Alex's surge of magic also rang out but the two lone parasprites were able to avoid its effects.

Mort attempted to stomp one of the two parasprites left, but due to his blood loss, his vision became blurry and missed his target. One of the parasprites attempted to bite Dark and managed to take a chunk of flesh from the unicorn. Meanwhile the other parasprite had used the bit of meat it took from Dark to create another parasprite.

Pushing through the pain Dark surged magic once more "Burst!" as the spell name was spoken a sword of pure magic materialized and with it Dark sliced through two of the three remaining parasprites.

Upon witnessing the death of two of its species, the final parasprite attempts to flee from the battle. But it didn't get far, as Alex jumped upon it and stomped it into the rubble just as he did to the swarm before.

As the fight died down, many questions raced through the trio's minds. But before they could really ask too many questions, Alex and Dark took Mort to a doctor for his wounds and blood loss.
