Chapter 1: Born to Fly

Heroes, everyone wants to be one. The moment kids come into this world the first thing that comes into their minds when the question of what do you want to be when you grow up is asked is a hero. That's all everyone wants to be, but not everyone is equal. They're those in this world that have power to become heroes and then there are those who don't have powers. Those that have the power are known as individuals that have quirks and those that don't well...they are known as the quirkless. A name and term that is offensive depending on the person that uses it.

When kids turn four is when they find out if they are quirkless or not, they go to the doctors to get a test and one such child is one his way right now to get a test done. "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy look. A plane." Izuku pointed to the sky as his mother walked him to the doctors office. Inko, a beautiful woman with long green hair, held the child's hand as he looked up at the sky to a helicopter in the air of New York City. Inko smiled and then looked down at her young son.

"That's right honey plane," Inko and her husband are both Japanese, but when Hisashi got a promotion from his new job they decided to move out to the states where nine months later their son was born. The Midoriya family live in the borough of Harlem, New York, the heart and soul of New York City.

"I want to fly. I hope I get a quirk that makes me fly." Inko chuckled as she and Izuku entered the doctors office, her son always talks about flying ever since he was born. He just gets it from his father, Hisashi always wants to spend time in the air and of course her son would inherit a trait from his father.

"In time Izuku, but for now let's check and wait for the doctor. Ok?" Izuku eagerly nodded his head, he was like a kid waking up on Christmas morning instead of presents. Izuku was looking forward to his quirk. Inko checked into the doctor's office and took a seat while they waited for the nurse to call her son's name. Inko had scheduled an appointment so they did not have to wait too long and when the doctor called them in, Izuku was quicker to get than Inko. Inko laughed while she followed behind her son to the office.

When they arrived inside the office the doctor began to run a test on Izuku to find out what his quirk is, as the test progressed the doctor became more and more concerned. Izuku didn't see it, but Inko saw it on his elderly face. The doctor ran the final test and when it was over he put his clipboard down and took off his glasses. The look on his face told Inko all that she needed to know and before the news could be delivered Izuku felt his mother's hands on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry young man, but you do not have a quirk." When Izuku heard that his mind and his heart literally shattered. He could not believe what he just heard, Inko grabbed his shoulders to comfort him.

"Is there anyone from your family that does not have quirks?" The doctor asked Inko and Inko already knew the answer to the question, there was only one in the family that was quirkless and that was Izuku's father. Hisashi was born quirkless and there was a chance that Izuku could be like him. They talked about it of course, but they just never believed that it would happen to their son.

"Yes, my husband. *Sigh*...Thank you doctor for their time." The doctor nodded his head and Inko grabbed Izuku's hand, and they then proceeded to walk out the office. While walking through the streets of the ever busy city Izuku didn't say one word and Inko began to worry about him even more. Izuku could not fathom it though, why didn't he get his quirk. He was going to be a hero, just like All Might or Hawks, or even Star and Stripe, and now that dream is gone. Now he is quirkless. What is he supposed to do now?

Inko saw the conflicted look on her son's face and knew that it was going to take his father's words to heal him. Inko could not do nothing, she had power and no matter what she said there was nothing that could change the way her son's feel right now.

Inko saw him look at all the others that had their powers, all of the other children that had gained their abilities and showed them off to their friends and family. Inko saw that depressed look and held his hand tighter, it wasn't much, but it would show that he was loved and that his mother was here.

It didn't take long for the mother and son to arrive back at their home, in New York not a lot of people drive thanks to the terrible traffic and parking. Everyone was next to each other and most people just walked to their destination and in this case the mother and son walked to the doctor's office. When they arrived home Izuku saw his best friend and next door neighbor climbing up a wall with nothing but his hands and feet.

"Hey, Zu!" Izuku looked up at the wall to see his best friend, the dark skin boy named Miles Morales. Miles hopped off the wall and ran up to Izuku, his mother saw Miles's mother standing on the porch of their home. They lived right next door to the Midoriya family and have known each other since they Japanese family moved to America.

"Izuku, check it out. I got my quirk. The docs say that I have the abilities of a spider, but that's not all. Check this out." Miles opened his hands to show Izuku yellow lighting coursing around his fingers. Izuku, even though he didn't get his quirk, was very much intrigued by what he saw and was happy for miles.

"I'm calling it my venom blast. Those are my abilities, what did you get?" Izuku did not answer his best friend and just looked down at the ground. Miles was confused, he didn't understand why Izuku didn't answer him. He knew that the teen was excited just like him when it came to getting their quirks. Izuku did not answer and he didn't want to answer, he just wanted to be alone.

Izuku ran from Miles and went into his home slamming the door, Inko had a concerned look on her face when she saw that and she also felt bad for Miles. Both Izuku and him are the best of friends and she didn't want Miles thinking that what just happened was his fault. Lucky for her Miles mother Rio Morales could see that something had happened to Izuku.

"Miles, head inside and help your father."

"But," Miles was about to protest, but his mother was not having it and gave him a stern look with another warning.

"Now hijo."

"Si, mamà." Miles nodded his head like a good boy and headed up the steps to enter his house when he closed the door the mothers were just alone now. Inko sat on the last step and Rio came down to sit next to her. Both mothers sat in silence, but after a while Rio broke the silence.

"Izuku is quirkless." Inko nodded her head and didn't bother saying anything. "I'm sorry," Rio apologized, she didn't even know why she was apologizing. What happened to Izuku was not her or anyone's fault, it was just something that happened by chance.

Inko wiped her eyes, she started to cry and she didn't even know why. Was it because of the hard time that Izuku was going to have in his future? Was it because the quirkless were seen as nothing? Was it because her son's dreams of being a hero were now over? Probably all three.

"What are you going to do now?" Rio asked as she comforted the emerald hair mother. Inko finished crying and just wiped her eyes.

"We are just going to have to adjust." When Inko said that sentence the door opened, the sound came from next door and both women saw Izuku's father Hisashi Midoriya. Hisashi has short black curly hair, with red eyes, and freckles on his face. He looked like a much older version of his son except he had muscles. Hisashi saw Inko's red eyes and knew that his wife had been crying.

"I better go, thank's Rio and tell Miles that Izuku didn't mean to make him sad." Rio understood and nodded her head, but she wouldn't have to tell Miles, the boys were the best of friends. Rio knew that her hijo would understand that something was wrong with Izuku.

Inko got up from her step and walked over to her house where she hugged her husband and greeted him with a kiss. Hisashi looked to Rio and nodded his head at her, he then took Inko inside the house where they could have a discussion about their son.

When both the parents of Izuku arrived in the house they took a seat on the couch, "Izuku is in his room. I got the message that something had happened at the doctors." Inko nodded her head, Hisashi always did have good eyes and it's not like they did not see this coming.

"How is he taking it?" Inko asked out of the blue, it was stupid question to ask espically after she saw him react to Miles powers.

"He's taking it how any kid who just lost his dream is taking it. I've been to Inko. It's not fun." Hisashi was not trying to be rude or anything and he wasn't lying when he said that he had been there. Hisashi cut off everything from his family for the way they treated him because he was quirkless.

He built a life without them and he was going to continue to do so. All he needed in his life was his son and wife. Hisashi sighed and rubbed a hand through his hair. Izuku was not going to give, he was his son after all, so as his father it was up to him to help his son achieve his

'There could be one way though.' Hisashi thought of an idea, it was a bad and experimental idea, but there was proof that it could work. 'But how the hell am I going to convince him of all people that Izuku could be one?' Hisashi's thoughts were cut off when he felt his phone ring, he answered it and when he saw the number he knew who it was and what was going to come next. Inko saw the look in her husband's eyes and knew what was going to happen next as well, she sighed. It was bad enough that her son didn't get his quirk, but now it was time for her husband to leave them.

"Work?" Inko asked, already knowing the answer. Hisashi just nodded his head, he wanted to spend time with Izuku and help him heal, but now that was going to have to wait.

"Yeah," Hisashi and Inko didn't say anything, they had an understanding when it came to these calls...Hisashi missions were always unexpected and now proves itself again. Hisashi saw the depressed look on his wife's face, she had always stuck by him even when he decided to move to America. She waited for him when days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months without so much of a call. He wouldn't leave her or his son just yet, he has some time.

"I have time before I go. I can spend it with you and Izuku." Hisashi rubbed his hand on her cheek and Inko leaned into the warmth of his hand. Hisashi smiled and leaned over to her where both their lips touched in a sweet and loving kiss. When they filled it they broke the kiss and left their foreheads touching.

"Let's go check on Izuku." Hisashi suggested to Inko that they check on their son and she believed that it was the right thing to do. Both parents got up from the couch and went up stairs, when they arrived up the steps they saw their son's door slightly closed.

Hisashi and Inko arrived at the door to peek in the room where they saw Izuku sitting in his gaming chair looking at the video of All Might. It was the same video of All Might that inspired him to be a hero, the one where he saved nearly 100 people from a destroyed building and he did it all with a smile.

Hisashi and Inko felt the pain coming from their son, he didn't need to say anything to his parents. Izuku turned his head to look at the door and the parents' hearts broke when they saw their son's teary eyed face. "Mom, dad, Can I still be a hero?" Hisashi stepped through the door first and went to his son's chair. He turned him around and wrapped him in a hug, the hug was meant to comfort Izuku, but also to let him know that he was here and that he was going to help him.

"Izuku, I won't lie to you and I never will. Being a hero especially for you will be hard, but it is possible. You are going to need to work hard and be fully committed to this and I need to know that you are." Izuku nodded his head, but it was going to take more than that to convince him and Izuku knew that.

"Yes, I will do whatever it takes." Hisashi smiled, he knew his son meant those words. Inko smiled when she saw the scene between her husband and son, she soon came into the room and joined the hug turning into a family hug. Izuku would work hard to become a hero and Hisashi would make sure that he gets there, but unknown to Izuku and Inko that day would be the last day that they will see their father and husband.

A Few Days Later

Inko was making breakfast for Izuku, Hisashi was not home because he still had not returned from his mission. She was worried of course, but she knew what she was getting into when she married him. She knew that there would be days if not weeks where she would not hear anything from him. All she could when he was on his missions was pray for his safety and oftentimes her prayers were answered and her husband would be returned to her, but eventually all things must come to an end.

"Izuku, when you finish eating I'll walk you to the bus stop. Don't want to miss Miles do you?" Izuku shook his head and began to dig into his meal while Inko made a cup of coffee, when she took a sip the door bell had rang and that surprised her. She was not expecting any guests. Inko put her cup down and went to the door to answer it, when she did she saw that it was not her husband like she secretly hoped, but instead it was a dark skinned man with short wavy hair.

Inko recognized this man easily, it was Sam Wilson, her husband's best friend and partner when they go on missions, but why would he be here? Why would Sam be here in front of her? It only took Inko a moment, but when she saw his face. The apologetic look that was on it then hit her like a tidal wave. Inko had heard stories of soldiers coming to the spouses' doors telling them the news that they never wanted to hear.

"I'm sorry, Inko." Those three words, that is all that it took and the emotions poured out of Inko. The tears poured out of her eyes as she soon found herself in a hug by Sam. Sam did his best to comfort the woman, but there was no comforting the loss of husband and now the loss of a father.

"Mom," Izuku heard the sound of his mother crying, a foreign sound to him, but when he came to the door he saw his uncle Sam at the door.

"Uncle Sam?" Izuku was surprised to see him, but he was even more surprised to see his mother crying. Sam broke the hug from Inko and went to his god son, Izuku didn't know what was going on, but something was telling him that something was wrong. Why was his mother crying? Why was his uncle Sam here? Where was his father? Izuku had so many questions going through his mind and it wasn't long before his uncle had brought him in his arms for a hug just like he did his mother.

"I'm sorry kiddo, I'm so sorry." Those words were repeated over and over to Izuku and before he knew it the realization had come in. His father wasn't coming home...ever again. He was gone forever and in flash the memories and the promise that his father and him made were gone.

The next few days were the longest of Izuku's life, dealing with his father's death, dealing with the friends that said that they were sorry, dealing with the funeral, just dealing with everything. Izuku doesn't even know how he got through it all, at times he just felt like he was a robot. He was just on auto-pilot. When the day of the funeral came Izuku didn't even want to get up from his bed, he just wanted to stay in the house, but it was the words of his mother that got him moving.

Izuku did go to the funeral and buried his father that day, he saw the many friends that his family had made over the years, the Morales were the biggest though. They were helping the family cope the moment they heard about Hisashi's death. The whole neighborhood heard about it and wanted to help out so they arranged a celebration of life for a man that had done some much for their hood.

Hisashi was beloved by Harlem and they honored him the best way they could. Izuku did see some faces that he did not recognize though, next to his uncle Sam was another man that had white skin, he looked American and had long brown hair that went down to his neck.

This mysterious man kept his distance from the rest of the funeral, but still watched. Izuku did not know who he was, but he did see his arm, his left arm looked metal. Izuku didn't look at him for long for obvious reasons, but when the funeral came to an end he did meet this mysterious man.

Many of the guests came to give their condolences to Inko and Izuku, when the mystery man came he kneeled down to speak to Izuku. "Hi Izuku, you don't know me, but my name is James Barnes, you can call me Bucky. I know...knew your father, we worked together many times. He was a good man." Izuku nodded his head absently, he didn't really care for the words. To him everyone was saying the same thing and at this point he just wanted to go home, but the next words from the man did get Izuku to look at him.

"He talked a lot about you, he always said that his son is going to be the greatest hero of all. The first quirkless hero, heh. *Sigh* I know things feel hard, but it's going to be alright. He made me promise that I will help you out since he's not going to be there. So when you're ready and when your mother feels that you are ready, your uncle Sam and I are going to help you become a hero." Izuku looked up at the man to see his uncle Sam next to him with a smile on his face. Even with his father gone he made sure that he could still become a hero, Izuku looked up at his mother to see her with the same smile on her face.

"Your dad was working on something before he left and I think he would want you to have it, but I think it's best you don't get it till you're sixteen. So when you turn sixteen you will get your present, but till then you are going to work with Buck and I on training, understand?" Sam's words made Izuku nod his head, he made a promise to his father to work hard and be committed to being and he was to keep his word.

"Then we start next week, but for now let's celebrate the life of your dad." Sam spoke the words as he, Bucky, Inko, and Izuku all looked at the gravestone of Hisashi Midoriya. The tombstone had the words the described Hisashi to the tee. Father, Husband, Friend, and Hero. The man would be missed everyday, but his wings will go to his son and Izuku will always be watched over by him.

12 Years Later

*Beep Beep* Izuku heard the sound of his alarm and groaned, he opened his eyes though. As much as he wanted to stay in bed he couldn't so he got up from the bed and shut the alarm off in the process before it woke all of Harlem. When the alarm was off Izuku yawned, he got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to shower. Izuku showered very quickly, he didn't want to spend much time in there and when he got out he wiped the mist from the mirror.

It's been twelve years since his dad died and in those twelve years things have changed for the teen. His body for one had changed, no longer the skinny kid on the block, but now one with muscles that made ladies take a second look at him.

The training that he had gotten from his uncle Sam and Bucky had paid off greatly and it showed on his six pack. Izuku was taught many forms of martial arts, weapons that ranged from knives to guns, and even languages he picked up Spanish easily from Miles, but he also added French and Russian to his arsenal.

Izuku rubbed his neck as he brushed his teeth, his mom and him still lived in Harlem, but this was going to be his last year. After this year his mom and him were moving back to Japan, it was time now and it was better that way so Izuku could attend UA, but leaving Harlem was going to be hard especially with all the friends that he's made over the years.

When Izuku finished brushing his teeth and was fully dressed the teen went back to his room to change into a pair of clothes for the day. Izuku put on a grey button shirt, a pair of navy blue pants, and a pair of black/white vans. After he was dressed the teen grabbed his bag and left his room which held many of his weights.

"Bye mom, I'll see you tonight." Izuku grabbed a piece of toast for his breakfast and kissed his mother goodbye on the cheek. He then left his house and it was just in time for Miles to come out at the exact moment as Izuku.

"Mi hermano." Miles greeted Izuku and both dapped each other fist in a form greeting. Miles has grown as well over the twelve years and has gotten better in mastering his powers and it all thanks to Izuku's help. The two were always together and were inseparable, one could not find one without the other.

"Yo brother, what's good."

"You finished that project for me?" Miles asked Izuku to make the teen smile, Izuku may be quirkless but that doesn't mean he is an idiot. The teen could build anything when he put his mind to it and he has been working on something big for Miles.

"In time bro, can't rush greatness." Miles and Izuku laughed as they made their way to school to meet up with the rest of their friends. Mils and Izuku were tight, basically brothers, but they were not alone in the group. There were four others that they were best friends with as well and when they arrived at the school they met them waiting for them at the school gate.

"There they are," One voiced said aloud as he saw the two best friends. Izuku and Miles went up to the muscular dark skinned teen and dabbed fist with him.

"What's up Luke?" Luke Cage or as Izuku likes to call him the Powerman. Luke quirk is called invulnerability. Basically Luke is a bulletproof man that takes punches and dishes him out. Next to him was a tan skinned woman with brown hair wearing a white leather jacket and was a woman that was not scared of anyone.

"Izuku and Miles, you both almost made us late." The woman scolded, she was also someone that didn't play around with school and was very strict when it came to her perfect attendance record.

"Hey Ava," Izuku greeted the Brazilian teen. Ava was a transfer student when she moved with her uncle to Harlem. Izuku learned about her when they both became partners for a history project and Izuku learned about Ava's quirk called the White Tiger. The White Tiger is a quirk that grants tiger-like abilities to the user much like Mile's spider quirk.

"I don't know what you're talking about Ava, as you can see both Izuku and I are on time and last time I checked there was a fifth member of our group that we are still missing." Miles mentioned the fifth member and like

"Namaste my friends." And that there he was the fifth member of the group and the most chilled one. Izuku and everyone turned their heads to see the blonde teen with a calm smile on his face.

"Namaste Danny," Izuku greeted with a smile as well. Danny Rand is...well, he is very laid back. Danny is fascinated with the eastern culture and learned much from Izuku about it, even picking up on how to speak Japanese. As for his quirk Danny calls it the Ironfist, basically a fist that strikes someone as hard as iron.

With the group together the friends headed into the school to start the day. The day went by fairly quickly and the group could not complain about it all, when the final bell rang all five friends all walked out of the school.

"So, where too now?"

"The studio?" Miles answered Luke's question, Miles wanted to head to work on some beats and thought that everyone was going to be in agreement, he was half right. Most of the group was all in for heading to the studio where they do most of their work, but it seems Izuku had other plans.

"Not today guys, looks like I got other plans." The group was confused by what Izuku said and saw his green eyes aimed at black mustang that just pulled up to them. The window rolled down and Izuku saw a familiar face in the driver's seat. It was his uncle Sam.

"Ready for your present." Izuku's smiles got bigger when heard that, but everyone but Miles was confused. Izuku didn't hesitate to get in the car, when he was fully he looked to his best friends.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow and Ava, don't forget to make sure they do their homework." Izuku reminded Ava to remind the guys not to skip out on their homework and her face gained a cheshire cat grin making the boys groan.

Seeing that Izuku was done with his friends Sam pulled off from the school now leaving the two of them time to talk. "So, where is it?" Izuku quickly asked as he searched the car for his present, but saw nothing. Sam laughed as he watched his nephew, he had grown in the 12 years and now it was time for him to earn his wings.

"Relax, the present is where we are headed to, but Buck and I decided to give you a gift of our own." Izuku turned his head to the side now, he didn't expect that.

"What am I getting?" When the car came to a stop thanks to a red light Sam reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bottle that contained blue liquid inside of it. "What is that?" Izuku asked as Sam passed it to him. Sam's face got serious before answering the question for he was about to let Izuku in on a secret that very few know about.

"That is super soldier serum."

"Super soldier?" Izuku repeated with confusion and Sam decided to explain what a soldier is and how it pertains to Izuku.

"Super soldiers are soldiers that are far more advanced than regular humans. We move faster, hit harder, heal quicker, and process information much quicker than ordinary humans and that included those with quirks. Taking it will bring your body to its absolute peak."

"So why give it to me?"

"Because I think your father would want you to have it, he was one of us." Izuku was even more confused, his dad was a super soldier.

'Wait, Sam said that dad was one of us. Does that mean he and Bucky are super soldiers?' Izuku thought as he looked at the blue liquid in his hands.

"Are you a-"

"Yup, so was your dad and so is Bucky. We are the only two super soldiers left alive. If you take that then you will be number three. Before your father died he had an idea of making a super soldier like us, he knew that there was a chance that you would end up quirkless and he wanted to make sure that his son would have the opportunity to be one." Izuku took all those words in from his uncle, he never really knew what his dad did for a living. All he knew was that he had to leave from time to time, but now he understands. His dad was a super soldier, a hero.

"Do I just drink this?" Izuku wondered and Sam quickly stopped him.

"No, of course not. I will inject it inside of you with a syringe. Drink it, what kind of idea stupid idea is that." Sam just rambled off while Izuku laughed, it didn't take long for the two to reach their destination in the city. When the car came to a stop Izuku got out of the car and looked at the tall building, it wasn't a skyscraper, but it was big.

"Come on, Buck's waiting for us on the roof." Izuku followed his uncle Sam into the building when they got in they saw the elevator. Izuku pressed it and doors slid open, neither one said a word as they walked into the elevator. Of course Izuku had questions, but what was the point of asking them when he knew that he wasn't going to get an answer. Sam would most likely tell him to wait till he gets to the top.

When the lift arrived at the top the doors opened and Izuku stepped out first to see Bucky waiting at the ledge of the building. Bucky turned around to see his student stepping out of the elevator.

"Izuku, good to see you."

"Hey Bucky, can I guess and say that the metal container is where my present is resting." Izuku looked at the large container and Bucky nodded his head. Whatever Izuku's father left him was in there, but before he could even open it Izuku felt a prick on his neck.

"Argh," Izuku exclaimed as he looked to see his uncle Sam to see him taking out the needle. Whatever was in the needle was now inside Izuku and the teen could only assume that it was super soldier serum.

"Couldn't ask for me first." Izuku yelled at him, he was fine with getting the serum, but Sam didn't have to just inject him with it without his permission first. At least when the nurse does it they give warnings or they count to three, but either way Izuku has the serum flowing through his body and he doesn't feel anything different.

"I don't feel any different." Sam and Bucky smiled at the teen, it was going to take a minute before he really felt different.

"On the outside you will be the same, but on the inside the serum is already doing its work by making your body stronger. You probably won't feel any different till the next day." Bucky told him as Izuku rubbed his neck, but all that stopped when his eyes came upon the container once again. Izuku looked at the container and saw that it had the words Falcon EXO-7 jetpack. The teen looked at his uncles and saw their smiles, he didn't need to be told that he could open it.

Izuku walked forward to where the container was and placed his hands on it. "Do you know what your father was?" Sam asked Izuku as he began to open the container, he lifted the lid up and as he did so he answered Sam's question.

"Dad said that he was a pilot, figured that's where I got my love of flying from." Sam chuckled when he heard that, it was the lie that they always told people.

"A pilot'' is not the exact word that I would use. Your father and I were part of a special program that not only gifted the super soldier serum, but also gave us an advanced jetpack to combat aerial forces. We became so good within them that the air force decided to let us keep them as our personal wings. In the field our enemies called us...Falcon." Izuku fully opened the container to see the jetpack, it was silver and grey in color.

"Your father was going to give that to you before...well you know. It was destroyed in his last mission and I put it back together just for you kid." Sam told him and Izuku could hear the emotion coming from his words, his dad and him had a special bond. It kinda reminds Izuku of the bond that Miles and him share.

Izuku lifted the jetpack up and sighed, this was a surreal moment for him. This jetpack belonged to his father and now it was going to be his. The teen unfastened the straps on the side and then put it on like it was a backpack. Sam then came over and helped tighten the strap on him while still explaining what the EXO-7 could do.

"The EXO-7 is the best technology that the air force ever created, the wings are made of carbon fiber. The wings are retractable and the thrusters are provided by three miniaturized jet engines, housed in the backpack of the EXO. They provide something of 1000 lbs of thrust, which is enough to rescue a grown adult from free fall, and ascend, thus countering the rescue's downward momentum." The jetpack was strapped to Izuku's back now and the teen was nearly ready, all he needed now was the goggles.

"Here, this will help protect your eyes." Izuku took the goggles from Sam's hands and looked at them. The goggles were black in color with red lenses, he put them on and quickly saw a HUD come up on the lens. The HUD recognized him as the new owner of the EX0-7 and now it was time for the final part. It was time to take flight.

"All right, you are all set. Are you ready?" Sam asked the teen and Izuku shook his head with the answer to that question.

"No." Sam laughed, the kid was just like his father and like him. No one is ready for their first flight, but hey bird has to leave the nest at some point and now it was time for Izuku to leave the nest.

"Yeah, so was I. All right, time to fly." Sam slapped the jetpack and quickly backed up, Izuku was about to protest but the jetpack had opened the back hatch and the carbon fiber wings had come out and before Izuku knew it he was shot in the air.

"AAAAHHH!" Izuku screamed as Bucky and Sam watched the teen be shot in the air like a rocket.

"He'll be fine." Sam told Bucky as Izuku was going up in the air. Izuku needed to quickly get control of this thing, the teen stopped screaming and needed to focus. Izuku closed his mouth and concentrated, he spread his arms out to get better control of the wings, this thing is supposed to resemble a falcon so he needs to act like one now.

Izuku with his arms spread out began to get better control, now it was time for him to stop going up in the air and move in a different direction. The teen titled himself forward and now he was moving forward, Izuku smiled he was starting to get a hang of this thing.

'Let's see what else I can do.' Izuku thought as he brought his arms down to his sides and the boosters started to speed up. Izuku was starting understand the controls just as he cut the boosters and started to dive bomb down.

"WOOOO!" Izuku screamed in excitement as he opened the wings once again and the momentum brought him upward. All this excitement just helped Izuku realize that he was now living his dream, he was flying. He had his wings and now he was flying. Izuku was smiling, he had finally achieved his dream and it was all thanks to his dad.

'Thanks dad, I'll make sure that I take care of them.' Izuku couldn't see it, but his father was flying right next to him and Hisashi had a smile on his face as he flew upward into the heavens. His wings now belong to his son and Izuku will use them to become a hero. He will be the first quirkless hero. He will be the Falcon.

Chapter 2: Lift Off

A/N: There you have it, that was first chapter of Born to Fly. I introduced Sam, Bucky, made Izuku as Super Soldier. Miles, Danny, Luke, and Ava will return in later chapters. They will not be part of UA, but I want Izuku to have something of his home when he goes back to Japan and those five friends will most certainly meet again and may be a hero team some where down the road. May be they will be the defenders of Harlem. Who knows lol. Anyway I hoped you all enjoyed the first chapter peace out.
