A/N Just so people are aware I don't regularly update, but I am bulk writing the first few chapters at least. I already have a basis for the first couple at the very least so bare that in mind.

"See, I told you it wasn't a nuke." The peach soldier bragged on the cliff as they watched a new blue soldier disembark.

"Whatever," Gomez huffed. "It's still some reinforcements, and look at that armour. They got their own colour, so clearly it's not some fresh recruit."

Miller sighed "I can't see the armour, because I don't have a sniper rifle. Come to think of it why am I even here?"

Gomez pointed to the blue troops below them. "Because if they decided to attack me I would be outnumbered, dipshit."

"What a tragedy that would be."

Gomez quickly spun around holding the rifle. "What was that?" he yelled aggressively.

"Nothing!" Miller yelped as he backed towards the cliff wall.

"Let's head back to base, we need to tell Gray about their new guy." Both reds make their way to a warthog before Gomez stops Miller "Nope, you are walking." Sighing Miller started the long trek back to base.

"A new CO? Are you shitting me?" Davis practically screamed. "I bust my ass for corporal, graciously step in after Andersmith gets his dumbass shot, and this is the thanks I get?"

Moore took a step to Davis "No Corporal I am not 'shitting' you. I read up and saw that your team was grossly undermanned and decided to volunteer myself to help you guys out, and Sergeant Andersmith was a close friend of mine and I will not allow you to insult him."

"He got shot walking up to red base and tried to buy their flag, who does that?"Davis pointed out.

"It was pretty dumb," Jones added from the sidelines as the other two argued.

"Nevertheless you two have the worst performance out of every platoon in the blue army. It seems over time you two have gotten sloppy and sloppiness can get you killed."

"Actually," Davis raised his voice "As sergeant Andersmith pointed out, stupidity can get you killed. Being sloppy means you are less likely to get into fights.

Shaking her head she points out "You would be in less fights because the enemy would only need one to kill the entire squad. Now that I am here you two will be put under a strict training regiment to bring you both back to the blue team standards."

"Blue team has standards?" Jones asked getting a sharp look from both Davis and more.

Moore spoke up one last time as she picked up he bag. "I'm going to prepare my bunk, I want you both on the top of the base at 1600 hours for a team meeting." With that she left.

"Sixteen hundred hours?" Jones asked. "It's like bootcamp all over again."

"A new CO comes in and starts telling us what to do not even ten minuets off the plane, this is bullshit. Thanks command, I appreciate this one"

Miller arrived at the red base half an hour behind Gomez, out of breath for not only carrying his rifle but also Gomez' sniper rifle. Walking up the ramp he could already hear the voices of Gomez and Gray. "I'm telling you it was a new guy but he wasn't in the standard blue, he's gotta be some kind of special ops guy or something."

Gray a tall man in maroon armour turned to look to Miller as he made his way towards the other two. "This true Miller? Blue team got a new guy?"

Miller leaned against one of the bases pillars as he gathered his breath, "Y-yeah, drop ship dropped him off and left." He took the sniper he was holding and threw it to the ground. "There is your sniper by the way."

Picking it up Gomez inspected it to check if there was any damage "You son of a-" He was cut off by their leader.

"Gomez." He spoke sternly. "If this is the case then we are no longer at the advantage, for a few days at the least." The other two looked at him. "That's right command is sending us a new guy to bolster the ranks. He should be arriving within the week, so I want you two to keep an eye out for any strange activity from the blues."

"What will you be doing Gray?" The maroon soldier stared at him expectantly, causing him to sigh "What will you be doing, Sir?" he groaned out.

"I will be saving the most important task for myself, so that you two don't screw it up."

"And that would be?" Gomez asked curiously.

"Finding somewhere to hide the flag." He answered pointing to the flag behind them.

"Why not bury it?" Miller quested, "They will never find it underground."

The red and maroon soldiers stared at him before Gomez spoke up. "That has got to be the stupidest idea of all time. What are we gonna do to find it? Use a map?"

"Miller how about you leave the tactical decisions to someone best suited for it," the Sergeant suggested.

"You never even got promoted!" Miller pointed out. "You just took the position when the last guy died. We are still all technically privates."

"Hey!" Gray yelled out "No one can prove that, I was given a brief field promotion when the last sergeant died from an aspirin overdose."

Gomez sighed and facepalmed. "I keep telling you, people can't die from an aspirin overdose. It's not physically possible."

"Command accepted the report, so that's our story." He took a second to compose himself. "Regardless you two get to patrolling, I've got a flag to move."

"I hate this fucking army." Gomez sighed.

Miller spoke up, "For once, you and I agree."
