Hey Guys! Welcome to Chapter 5!

*! These Characters are not mine and belong to My Hero Academia !*

Bakugou was fidgeting in the backseat of the car. Today marked six months since Deku's disappearance and the Old Hag decided that they were going to visit Auntie. Her and Auntie had been seeing each other frequently but the Old Hag hadn't heard from her in a while. Bakugou had his suspicions that it had to do with the fact that people were losing hope of finding Deku. Except for Detective Tsukauchi, the police believed Deku to be dead somewhere. So now they were going to see how Auntie was doing.

Pulling up in front of her building, the Bakugous made their way to Auntie's apartment. The Old Hag knocked on the door and they all waited patiently. After a while the Old Hag got tired of waiting and pulled out her own key to unlock the door.

Pushing into the apartment Bakugou was shocked to see the usually pristine apartment look like a hurricane wrecked it. He just stared in wonder while the Old Hag started to look for Auntie. It took more brain power than Bakugou currently possessed to try to correlate the mess before him with the play place of his childhood. Was this a reflection of Auntie's feelings? He knew that Auntie cared a lot for Deku, but he couldn't imagine the Hag shutting down like this if she were in the same position.

Eventually the Hag came back with Auntie in tow. This shocked Bakugou even more. Her eyes had deep bags as if she hadn't slept since Deku's disappearance, her usually neat hair was unkempt and frizzled, and her clothes looked like they hadn't been changed for a while, but the biggest shock was the visible weight loss. It looked like she hadn't been eating enough, and by the small steps she took it seemed that she didn't really want to be moving away from her room. Bakugou doubted that she would have left her room if the Old Hag hadn't dragged her.

This wasn't their first time visiting since Deku left and though Auntie had been distressed and worried in the early weeks, she wasn't as depressed as she appeared now.

The Old Hag and Old Man began to start talking with Auntie in the living room, while Bakugou maneuvered his way to the kitchen. After clearing off counter space he opened the fridge and was alarmed to find that most of the food was expired. Throwing away the bad ingredients he found some that were still good and started cooking.

When he was done, he brought the meal to Auntie and sat down as the Hag forced her to eat it. Bakugou was unsure what to do so he started to clean up a bit.

They stayed there almost the entire day, none of them saying more than a few words. They forced Auntie to take a shower and at the end Bakugou carried a few trash bags out to the dumpster before they left.

Leaving his parents behind when they got back, he went straight to his room, once again dodging strings on the way to his bed. As he lay, he thought of Auntie and how affected she's been. He decided that once a week, after school, he'd start stopping by to clean and cook for Auntie. She looked like she could use the company and Bakugou needed a reason to be able to take a break from his search from Deku. He wasn't giving up, but sometimes the best answers come when you're not trying to find the solution.

"I know you're there." Hawks called to the seemingly empty room. He watched unsurprised as a hooded and masked figure stepped out from the shadows.

Hawks began analyzing him. He appeared to be 5'5", and his eyes were bright red. He wore a green sleeveless jacket over a black t-shirt, with black pants and a loaded red toolbelt. His mask held the image of an upside down All Might smile. That was interesting. What really caught Hawks' attention were the figure's red shoes. They were ordinary shoes except for the All Might signature on the right shoe. Whoever this was, they had met All Might personally. Why was he following Hawks?

"You're more perceptive than I gave you credit for." The figure spoke.

"I'm not one of the top heroes for nothing."

"I know. You very much deserve your high ranking."

"Thank you, although I'd rather skip the pleasantries. Why are you following me?"

"Because I have a proposition for you."

"I'm listening."

"I want you to work for the LOV. Be our traitor spy."

"Well, you're blunt."

"I find it easier to lay everything on the table."

Hawks had been given a mission to join and spy on the new and upcoming villain group, The League of Villains. He thought that he would have to find them and had expected it to take weeks, but it seems they came to him within a few days instead.

Either way he couldn't appear too eager, "And what's in it for me to switch sides?"

"Well, I can't think of any incentive for you. To be honest it's not my idea to recruit you, but I'm sure that you can think of a reason to join us on your own. The only thing I can tell you is that if it were discovered that you were a traitor you are sure to drop in the hero rankings, although I doubt that would give you the anonymity you wish for."

Who is this guy? He definitely knew his facts. Hawks hadn't even joined yet and he'd already gathered information on him.

"I guess you're right. I do have a reason."

"Great. For now, you will only be communicating with me. Don't worry about finding me, I'll find you." With that ominous message, the shadow left.

Hawks was intrigued by the figure and looking forward to finding out his identity. Hawks was very secretive when it came to telling the public his past and goals, yet this guy already knew more than his biggest fan.

"I never even got a name." That was when he noticed a slip of paper on the ground. It read 'Deku'. "Deku, huh?" Hawks chuckled.

Stain was waiting for Deku on a rooftop with Toga. He'd told Stain that he had a League mission to take care of and that he'd be right back. Stain just hoped Deku didn't take too long, it was hard enough to work around the League to plan this one adventure and he wasn't sure he could do it again. The LOV had been blocking him at every turn, even giving Deku pointless missions. Why were they so adamant about Deku being kept away from killing? The boy wasn't a snowflake.

Stain was pulled from his thoughts when Deku landed on the roof. He was wearing the outfit that the League gave him, which mostly consisted of regular clothes. It was obvious that he was a stealth villain, since his costume was designed to blend in with a crowd.

"Where's Dabi?" His pupil asked.

Stain sighed. "He got stabbed on a mission two days ago, remember?"

"Either way I thought he'd be here; I was looking forward to teasing him."

"I'm not so sure that teasing him for getting stabbed is a good idea, he almost cooked me because I made a comment on the fact that he dyes his hair." Toga interjected.

Stain shook his head as Deku laughed harder. Stain knew well that Deku had already known that fact, but his acting was getting better.

Waiting for Deku to calm down Stain then told them that it was time to head out. Their target for tonight was already chosen. It was a loafer who used his status as a hero to get women, while never doing actual hero work. He was not worthy and would be easy enough for Deku's first mission, even though Stain would do the killing.

Stain observed his students as they ran to the district the hero would be in tonight. Watching them now, he could see the progress they have made in the last 5 months. He would never admit it, but he was proud of them.

The group started to slow as the got closer. The two youngers turning to Stain for instruction. Using the hand communication, he taught them he instructed for Deku to go ahead of the hero, so that he'd be on the opposite side of Toga when they cornered the hero in an alley. He told Toga to stay put, while he made his way into a position to block the alley's exit.

They kept following the hero in their positions until he finally turned down an alley. In sync they all dropped, surrounding him. The hero's quirk was to make marbles out of air, and currently he was throwing them at the villains, hoping that they would stop their advance. Stain watched Toga deflect them in the same manner he did, obviously having copied the technique. Deku just danced around them, occasionally using his Bo Staff to block a few.

Not one for playing games, Stain gave Toga a nod which she returned. As soon as the hero's back was turned to her, she moved in and restrained him. What a pathetic hero. He began to beg, and tears streamed down his face. Turning his head Stain went to see how Deku was doing.

Deku was surprised at how fast everything had gone down. He didn't expect it to be this easy, he had been hoping for a fight and the chance to test his skills against a hero. The sobbing mess in front of him didn't meet any of the qualifications of a hero. Deku was disappointed.

He saw Stain watching him. Did he not think that he could handle this? That hurt Deku a little bit.

Stain finally looked away and took a step toward the hero. "You are unworthy to be a hero." Stain started. Deku started to feel a headache building and his eyes began to burn. "You abuse the responsibility that has been given to you. You are a coward who has never performed a heroic act, and you use your status to collect women." With his speech out of the way, Stain lifted his blade.

Deku was still as he watched the katana begin to swing downward. At the last moment Izuku ran forward, his eyes feeling as though they were on fire, and blocked the swing with his Bo Staff.

Stain's eyes widened as his student blocked his katana with a Bo Staff. Just a few seconds ago Deku had been five feet behind him. After his blow bounced off, Stain stepped back into a defensive position, watching Deku do the same.

Stain tried to look in his student's eyes to see why he had betrayed him, and he stared into emerald, green eyes instead of the volcanic red he had grown used to. Was Deku's eyes turning green an effect of the withdrawals or did the drug turn his eyes red? He could also tell that his student was in pain but was pushing through it.

The bracelet on Deku's wrist was flashing even though he never pushed the call button as Stain had observed during his previous spying. Stain's suspicions were confirmed when Kurogiri teleported into the alley. The League had a way of tracking Deku's location and when he slipped into this condition.

Kurogiri tried to get to Deku, syringe in hand, but stopped when Deku saw the needle.

Stain watched as Deku eyed the needle. His body had already been shaking from the withdrawals of the drug, but now violent tremors began to rack his body.

His student's eyes became wide and terrified, and the boy began to cry, "No more needles."

Kurogiri was surprised by Deku's reaction to the shot. Previously he'd always hidden the syringe from sight so that Deku wouldn't see it and try to resist. He'd never imagined the boy would respond with terror.

The guilt that had been slowly easing over the past five months rolled through him again as he made the connection to the dotted scars he had seen on the boy's neck. Kurogiri felt sick. Fighting the urge to throw up he continued to make his way to the trembling teen.

He was surprised when Stain jumped in his way. Here he thought that the Hero Killer would be mad at his student for interfering, and instead he is protecting him. While Kurogiri agreed with the killer's sentiments he had to do this for the League. Portaling around the villain, Kurogiri closed his eyes and pressed the syringe into Deku's arm. Kurogiri ignored the frightened whimpers from the boy and accepted that there would be no redemption for him when his day came.

Toga didn't know what to make of everything. She had been excited to see the blood from this hero and already had out her tools for collecting it when Deku jumped in front of Stain. She had been watching the events fall out before her while she stood there.

She didn't miss Deku's change of eye color, from red to green, and now back to red after Kurogiri had injected him using the syringe. She had never pegged Deku as one to be afraid of needles, but this went beyond simple fright. Her friend had been terrified and his eyes had glazed over as if he were somewhere else.

Stain had been enraged after Kurogiri injected Deku and had tried to cut the small part of body the smoky figure had, but he quickly disappeared. Now they were both crouched down next to Deku.

"Deku are you ok?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I have an illness, so Kurogiri needs to come and give me the antidote every now and then."

"But Deku. You were terrified of that syringe; you didn't want it."

"I don't know why I reacted that way, I've never been afraid of needles before."

During their conversation, Toga had noticed the way Stain was reacting to this information. As if he already knew most of it, and that these new bits were just the missing pieces fitting into the puzzle. She'd have to talk to him later, right now she needed to take care of Deku.

"Sorry, Teach. I don't know why I jumped in the way like that. I guess I wasn't ready for this mission."

"It's not your fault." Stain replied without giving an explanation. "But I do think its best if you don't come on these types of missions for now."

Deku hung his head and nodded. It broke Toga's heart. He had been ready for this mission. Something happened tonight and she was going to find out what. Deku had somehow managed to become her friend, and he was now family. A part of the family she chose, not the one that treated her like a monster. She was determined to protect this family.

Naomasa was observing the scene of the crime. A pro hero had burst into the station rambling about the Hero Killer and his three accomplices. After they were able to calm him down, they were able to get a description of the four and learned that one of the accomplices had jumped in front of Stain and saved his life.

Naomasa wasn't sure what to make of the information. The crime scene held no evidence besides an empty syringe. He doubted that they would be able to connect it to anything, there was no liquid left inside to analyze, they only had to hope that forensic could identify it through the residue.

To be honest if it weren't for his truth quirk, Naomasa would probably written off the whole situation. No hero made it out clean after an encounter with the Hero Killer, and though Stain had been working with a few extra people lately, they had never interfered before. The information didn't fit. Something new was happening.

All the other detectives left over time, while Naomasa continued to search every nook and cranny. This case was as puzzling as the Midoriya one. After searching every corner of the alley, he was ready to head back to the station when a slip of paper floated down from above. After reading it Naomasa's eyebrows crawled up his forehead.

It read.

Save Deku.

Stain.

Hey Guys! Wow is the end of the year crazy.

Anyway, this chapter is longer than my other ones, I just loved the idea of all these different perspectives, I hope it wasn't too hard to follow. Have a great day!
