Chapter 4 : Welcome To Motherhood
"Y-you're seriously trying to adopt me, Detective?"
"I am." Olivia says seriously.
"B-but why? You do know that I am a member of the Red Foxes right?"
"That doesn't matter to me right now, I care about your well-being, please let me help you."
Naruto could see the truth in the brunette's words, tears formed in his eyes and he quickly dropped his head.
"Hey careful Naruto, your jaw is still wired closed, try not to cry so much OK." Olivia advises softly, he nods and wipes his eyes clear of tears.
Olivia checked Naruto out of the hospital two days after the incident, she takes the blonde to the precinct where a tall woman wearing a black suit is waiting for the pair.
"Are you in trouble again, Uzumaki!?" the woman roared at the blonde, Olivia, taking exception to this stepped in front of Naruto protectively...like a Mother.
"I am an SVU Detective and Naruto was just assaulted several hours ago, as evidenced by his wired jaw."
At the mention of Naruto being assaulted, the woman's hard gaze softened.
"Who are you anyway?" Olivia asked a moment later.
"Rachel Chambers, I'm Naruto's CPS Case Manager/Advocate."
"Olivia Benson, I'm in the process of adopting Naruto."
"I know, I received the forms a while ago, and I came here to meet you personally and assess your living arrangement and other aspects of your life to see if you are indeed worthy and capable of adopting Naruto."
"I completely understand, Miss Chambers, but I need to speak to my Captain first, excuse me."
