New Beginnings Part One

Chloe had no desire to leave her room Or show her face to anyone, let alone go on a trip to New York with her classmates. She hated everything! All she wanted was to hide under her blankets and forget that horrible day. It was pitiful really! She shouldn't be feeling this way but she couldn't take back what she had done. She had chosen to be the Miracle Queen… She could have chosen to be braver but she'd given in to her base instincts…

An entire year of trying to be a better person, a hero… All that effort went up in flames just because of one bad day.

She had been okay with not being Queen Bee but she'd hoped Ladybug would still give her another miraculous and let her help… That was all she wanted. She already had fame and power. Chloe didn't need a miraculous for that!

But now Ladybug would never trust her again and she couldn't blame anyone else…

She had defied Hawkmoth's akumatisation before and she could have done that again out of sheer stubbornness but she chose to give in…

She chose to be a villain all out of pettiness…

And her mistake outed the identities of all other heroes.

Ladybug and Chat Noir were all on their own, now more than ever before and she couldn't help them.

Guilt ate her from inside. So she chose to push it down, not think about it and forget about Ladybug, Hawkmoth and their stupid war over magic jewelry.

It took her an entire week and coaxing from her parents and Sabrina to show up in class again.

Oh, how she had messed up…

She saw the disappointed looks Adrien and Dupain Cheng gave her when they thought she wasn't looking.

Alya, Nino, Kim and Max weren't that subtle. Though they refrained from saying anything directly, the cold glares spoke volumes.

Everyone hated her.

She couldn't blame them. After all, she hated herself!

Unexceptional, that's what she was. That's what she'd always be, no matter what!

God, she had everything in her life… Why did she have to screw it up again…

Her mom was back in Paris and spending time with them… Something she'd wanted her entire life!

She had been a real life superhero…

Shit, how did everything go to shambles so fast?

She couldn't bear the indifference her old teammates showed her, especially after everything they'd been through together the last one year. She deserved it no doubt but that hurt… Everytime she saw them, she was reminded of what she did. There was no going back from this.

She barely got through a few hours of class with them, but an entire week with them…

And her parents thought a getaway was exactly what she needed to get through this difficult time and she couldn't explain why, not without revealing more of Ladybug's secrets.

No matter how much she begged, whined and cried, her father didn't budge… He was vehement that time away from Paris… away from Hawkmoth and his akumas would be better for her.

So she went to New York, the city of heroes not expecting that she would get another chance to prove herself to the world.

The Venom symbiote had many hosts throughout their time on Earth. Peter Parker, Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Anne Weying, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson… Each of their hosts had taught him something new. The experiences had changed him… made him more sensitive, dare they say more 'human'... Eddie didn't need them anymore and the Klyntar were gone. The planet was safe from more of their kind and they found themselves without a purpose. So they left Eddie and his family… They needed something more.

Venom swept through the busy streets of New York, changing hosts almost instantaneously, as they saw their thoughts and felt their emotions… So utterly mundane.

Was there no one interesting enough in this disgusting slump of a city? And that's when they felt it… an overwhelming sense of self depreciation and guilt, tinged with powerful energy. Whatever it was, it smelled delicious and they should have it…

And that's how Venom found Chloe, weeping in her room all alone while her classmates, including Sabrina enjoyed themselves in a rooftop party.

Unbeknownst to her, they merged with her, lying dormant while they fed on her strong emotions and pried through her memories… What they found were curious indeed… Exactly what they desired - a new adventure.

This was originally supposed to be a bigger chapter but I'm breaking it down to smaller parts so that I'm able to update more frequently.Hope you like it and please review. :)
