This was fast

Hopefully better though

Enjoy

It was the day Izuku Midoriya's life changed forever.

A short young teen is currently walking home, hunched into himself as he protectively hugs a burnt and wet notebook. He has curly unkempt green hair, and freckles that are shaped as diamonds on his cheeks, his bright green eyes, which are usually filled with curiosity, excitement, and determination, now seem muted.

"Jump off a rooftop? Why would Kacchan say that? Does he know what would happen to him if an investigation on my death somehow links back to his comment? He wouldn't have been able to become a hero…" Midoriya mutters.

Izuku Midoriya had previously been at Aldera Junior High, where he's currently walking away from just another day of being the odd one out. Today was the day where the students were asked about what careers they wanted to pursue. But the answer was obvious, in a society where superpowers called Quirks were the norm, everyone wanted to be the same thing, a Hero. A person who saves the lives of others, and puts villains behind bars. Midoriya is no exception to this, except for one detail that causes everyone to think that his choice in career is impossible to achieve. Izuku Midoriya is Quirkless.

Yet despite this huge setback Izuku stays determined, the notebook he's currently clutching was filled to the brim with notes on Quirks, their applications, strengths, and weaknesses. But most of those notes were now smudged, and barely readable, all thanks to Midoriya's former best friend, and main bully, Katsuki Bakugo who Izuku still calls Kacchan out of some misguided hope that the best friend he lost would return one day.

Midoriya has always been selfless, to the point where he completely disregards his own safety and potential happiness for the sake of others, even to those who make his life miserable. This is why despite what everyone says about him, he still tries to become a hero and wishes that Bakugo would become one as well.

Midoriya was taking a detour on his way home to have time with his thoughts. After his classmates found out he still wanted to be a hero despite everything that had happened to him, they all laughed at his expense, and Bakugo burned his notebook, tossed it out the window, and told him to kill himself.

Needless to say, it was not a good day for him, even worse than usual in fact. But that never stopped him before, he would continue moving forward, right underneath a bridge, and his fate would irrevocably change. For better or for worse. He would either start the journey to becoming a Hero or a Villain the moment he walks through, but he never did.

Just as he was about to go through, a red blur passed through, faster than any person would have been able to move normally without disturbing the area around them. The blur passed the bridge at incredible speed, and when it disappeared, Midoriya was nowhere to be found. So when a villain with a slime quirk exited the sewer grate underneath the bridge. He had no hostage to take, and All Might who was pursuing the villain saw no one needing help at that moment. He captured the villain and went on his way. Unbeknownst to him, he had just missed the perfect inheritor for his power before he was taken by one of the greatest villains of the future.

Midoriya had no idea what just happened, one moment he was walking home, and the other he was experiencing severe vertigo inside a warehouse. Unable to process all the sudden changes quickly enough, he immediately threw up his lunch onto the floor.

"Sorry about that, but I needed to get you away from there ASAP. Don't worry, it should pass in a second or so."

Midoriya, after throwing up, immediately goes on high alert as he catches up with what happened. He somehow got transported to an unknown location by an unknown assailant. As he whirls toward the voice, he stared at the person who was responsible for bringing him here.

The man was pretty tall, standing above 6 feet, he was in what seemed to be a one-piece suit that covered his entire body except for his face. The suit though seems high-tech, with red glowing lines across the arms, torso, and legs. As the man notices him staring at the suit, he chuckles.

"Yeah, I know, the design seems pretty silly huh? Don't worry this is just the undersuit, I didn't want to risk anyone seeing me in full costume before my debut."

The man spoke his was voice light and joking, but slightly raspy from underuse. Though when Midoriya brings his eyes to the man's face with panic slightly creeping upon him ("Holy smokes, was I just kidnapped?!") he pauses at what he sees. His eyes widen and he takes a step back in disbelief as he takes in the man's features. Green unkempt curly hair, bright green eyes, and freckles on his cheeks at the shape of a diamond. The man looks exactly like-

"Me?"

The word slips out of his mouth before he can process, and the man's carefree smile widens just a tad bit.

"Well, I don't remember being this smart back then but hey, I'll take what I can get."

Midoriya opened his mouth to ask him who he was, but before he could say anything the man was suddenly right in front of him with his hand in front of his face.

"!?"

"Don't worry everything will make sense soon."

Then the man touched his face, then-

PAIN

MEMORIES

He could hear someone screaming, and before he blacks out he realizes the screams were coming from him.

As Midoriya watches his younger self blackout while standing, he could see the nanites flow from his face, to his brain, and to his body as they do their work. His body stands stock still as the nanites adjust themselves and rearrange his DNA, implant the needed memories, restabilize his body so it doesn't die, and finally administer the quirk.

The process will take a couple of minutes so while that happens, he blurs again and quickly unpacks his equipment. He didn't need everything from the lab and instead chose to carry the ones he would've needed immediately, and just reinvent everything else. As he regrows all the shrunken Tech, his extremely fast mind quickly does a headcount on all of his inventions.

"Thankfully everything survived the trip and nothing seems to be broken, I might have to leave the Matter rearranger small for now though, I don't really need it yet. The Nanite Generator might not be needed, but something unaccounted for may happen, so I'll get that to work on making extras sooner rather than later. Oh, before I forget, I should get to work on assembling the Energy Siphon so any possible surprises won't be an issue, and then…"

He never did curb his muttering habit, but then again, there was no one left in the future to be annoyed by it so why bother? But maybe he can cut it off with his younger body, he needs it to be as likable as possible after all. He's got everything planned out, and his other self would be the centerpiece of his future, a better future.

He suddenly felt his consciousness shift.

'Ah, the nanites are done then.'

He could feel the connection instantly, both their consciousness meld into a single mind, controlling two separate bodies, the nanites communicating between both brains, and syncing up their signals.

Midoriya had gone through this kind of mental shift multiple times already, whether through another body or machine, so he's used to the feeling. His other body though…

"W-Whoa!"

His younger body suddenly fell down, its brain and body not familiar with all the rapid changes, even with the nanites debilitating the worse effects.

"Ah. I forget how much of a headache it is to transfer this much into another body." The younger body spoke.

"Can you stand yet?" The older body asked.

"Gimme a minute will ya? Geez. Gotta run a fucking operation up here."

The older body just shook its head at his other body's words before returning to his work. He briefly wonders if he should call the other one his little brother, and nearly laughed out loud when his other self sent him an image of a middle finger from their technopathic connection.

'Hah, I've missed talking to myself like this.'
